  1. Crack! Lightning split the air and thunder rolled over their craft. Yet the pair of Makuta continued to weather the storm, for there was no room for either of them in the hold, among their meager provisions. They were roughly two and a half hours at sea, now, and the storm had been persisting since before they had left. Normally, one would not shove off in such a bad storm, but circumstances had been... extenuating. These two Makuta were escapees from the fateful coup staged by Teridax. Opposed by nature to the vile rule of their former brother-in-arms, the pair had, like many others, attempted to escape to a far-off locale, in hopes of living out the rest of their existence incognito. Regarding those two Makuta: One lay prostrate upon the deck, and the other was hunched over him. The feature most immediately noticeable to a passive onlooker was that, from the former of the beings described, there was rapidly escaping that pale, green mist known as antidermis. The source of this emission was a massive injury on the backside of the being's pitch-black armor casing. Various cloths and lengths of rope had been employed in the effort of stemming the life-giving substance's escape, but it continued to flow in spite of them, and in spite of the cannonball-like midak ball that still remained lodged in the wound, without which obstacle the victim would, ironically, have far earlier died. A more astute observer would notice a similar stream of gas emanating from the destroyed right half of the healthier Makuta's Kanohi. A portion of the gas escaping from both injuries was dissolving into the rain that streamed down that unfortunate pair of bodies, leaving a trail of a ghastly green tint in the water that flowed off the sides of the boat. Struck by the hopelessness of his situation, the dying Makuta reached his shaking hands up to his face, and weakly removed his own, undamaged Kanohi, offering it to his companion in the hopes that the latter could avoid a similar fate. With some understandable hesitation, the hunched one slowly took the pristine mask. Lifting it to his face, he stared into its empty, soulless eyes. And through them he saw those of his comrade, which were beginning to take on a similar vacancy. As he continued to stare, heartbroken, more gas began to weakly seep from his friend's bare face. The Makuta, unwilling to turn down the apparent dying wish of his comrade, removed his ruined mask and replaced it with the dripping, rain-streaked Kanohi by which he had known his friend for centuries. If any attempt had been made to exchange words in this scene, they had gone unheard over the storm. Meanwhile, the boat that now carried a single, unfortunate soul, came into sight of Keno Island's beach. ------- What a crock. The soft sound of his footfalls echoed from the steep bank which marked the end of the beach. Having long since shifted his form into that of a lowly Matoran, the disguised Makuta was in search of whatever type of civilization sparsely inhabited this island. He was but several hours into his circumnavigation of the island's coast, when he gained view of a small settlement. It was another hour of trudging through the sand (Matoran, he found, have egregiously short and stubby legs) before he approached the village-- a mere dot on the surface of the island, sprawling maybe two dozen shacks and shanties along the waterfront, with a single, properly-constructed building up off of the beach; probably a meeting hall or some other sort of gathering place. As he neared, the unfortunate survivor increasingly sensed something amiss. Even a village this small should have people out and about in the middle of the day, and yet, in the hour that he had spent walking towards it, he had seen not a soul. No Matoran on fishing boats in the water, not a man going between the buildings for his tasks. Only ghosts strolled down the dirt path that divided the town. Entering the midst of the buildings, he began to investigate the shacks. Though small, and certainly under-equipped for a being of his stature, they had a certain pleasant, homey quality, which he recognized as being characteristic of the constructions of simple beings like Matoran. The fortresses and outposts of the Brotherhood, though he recalled them fondly, were far from comfortable. He pushed through the hanging mesh of palm leaves that served as a door to one building, and, his keen eyes failing to perceive any living beings within, he began to rummage around. Though a single room, another mesh of leaves separated it into two halves. In one, it seemed, the inhabitants of the shack slept, while the other contained a series of wooden bowls, utensils for cooking and eating, and most impressively, a rudimentary stove. The Makuta looked upon it with the unwittingly self-superior wonderment of a man witnessing the complex tunnels of an ant colony. Yet, he thought, I cannot locate the residents of this abode. Worried for the well-being of his newfound ants, he ventured forth from the shack he had been investigating. He knew exactly where to search next: The meeting hall. That would certainly be where Matoran would go in a crisis. He approached the building - monumental in comparison to those ones which dotted the beach - and parted the doors. And he stopped, for he was immediately assaulted by the hideous stench of death. Sadness welled up in his heart. Oh, no, he said to himself in worriment. They've all died, haven't they? It took only a cursory search to confirm his suspicions. Several bodies littered the foyer, where he had entered, but in the very next room was piled at least three quarters of the village's population. Their corpses were in some cases hideously mutilated, and he thought it best to begin his examination with one of those. It did not take long to determine the cause-- a peculiar, viral infection, the key characteristic of which was its tendency to cause the infected to develop manipulative, secretive, and usually paranoid personalities, and experience nightly episodes of psychosis, often with a focus on spreading the malady to others. The infection took hold of its victim immediately, and was extremely difficult to detect 90% of the time, when the victim would act almost completely normally. In one week's time, it would begin to replicate so rapidly that the host's cells would start to burst, causing various other symptoms until death. Under normal circumstances, it would be simple to synthesize a cure. However, with the Brotherhood in chaos, that would prove impossible, and this Makuta's knowledge of local flora was unfortunately nonexistent. Nor, it seemed, were the Matoran natives able to develop a true cure on their own-- as evidenced by the pile of bodies in front of him. In such circumstances, the only thing to do was to slaughter patients before they could infect anyone else. And, on that note, the sound of ragged breathing, and stirring as if from sleep, seemed to indicate that the Makuta had judged one such 'body' rather prematurely. He turned, to witness the apparent sole survivor of this incident rising from the floor. His mannerisms clearly indicated that he was in the later stages of the infection. The end was near for him, anyway. "Oh..." Breathed the visitor, still in the guise of a Matoran. "You poor wretch." The Makuta on Keno Island A deadly infection has taken root in the population of Keno Island, and it's making use of its victims to guarantee its spread. Led by the sole Turaga of the island, the healthy residents of various villages have come together to one location. But little do they know that the infection has already claimed one of their own. Meanwhile, a Makuta turned political refugee seeks to escape the notice of the Teridax-led Brotherhood of Makuta. But it would seem that they have already turned their search upon this small island, for one of their own agents also walks among the Matoran. The Village - Wins by eliminating the Infected, and any Makuta that are revealed Matoran x 17 - Simple villagers, these roles vote during the day, and have no actions to perform at night. Turaga - The leader of the Matoran, this role's votes count for double during the day. Doctor - Well-versed in the medicinal plants native to the island, this role can prevent either death or infection for one individual each night-- including itself. May not protect against both at once, however, if the Detective is targeted with either form of protection, they will gain the benefits of both. The Doctor's concoction to prevent infection is fatal to the infected. Detective - This resourceful Matoran can detect signs that one might not be as they seem. Investigates someone during the night, and finds whether they are village-aligned or not. No more, no less. The Infected - Wins by infecting the majority of the remaining players, or by keeping Patient Zero alive through day 7 Patient Zero - The first infected in this village. Picks two people to infect before other roles go out. Votes with all Infected on who to convert during the night. If allowed to live for 7 days, dies in a gruesome spectacle in which all remaining Villagers are infected. Infected x2 - Chosen by Patient Zero before the start of the game. Vote with him on who to infect during the night. The Makuta - Both are immune to the infection, and will survive the first attempt to lynch them. Must not reveal roles to Village. Visitor - Kills someone every night. Wins by eliminating the Infection while remaining undetected by the Agent, or by eliminating the Agent as well as the Infection. Loses if all Villagers are eliminated or infected. Agent - Can kill once per game. Wins by seeing Visitor eliminated. Rules: 0. Roles act as described during the night. During the day, everyone votes on who to lynch. Null votes are allowed, however, abstaining is not. One person will be lynched, and ties will be broken by the Turaga. If the Turaga's vote has already been cast for one of the tied candidates, that one will be immediately lynched, otherwise the Turaga will give their decision via PM. Null cannot win ties. Ties will not be announced, nor will vote totals. 1. A Makuta is considered 'revealed' only by being unsuccessfully lynched (which reveals them to all), or by revealing their role to a Villager (which reveals only to that individual). If someone claims to know a Makuta, whether it be true or false, or by that player's admission to being one or no, that player is not revealed to all as a Makuta. 2. Villagers are to play to their role, which means attempting to lynch a Makuta of which they become aware (however, they may put this off until the Infected are dealt with, or what have you). They may claim that someone is a Makuta to the rest of the village, however, that Makuta is not revealed, and other players are not required to lynch them at any point, though they certainly may. 3. Everyone must do everything in their power (and within the rules) to win, until they have died or the game has concluded. 4. The dead must not interfere with the game. 5. 2. So when I was around 12 I decided to sell all my bionicles, mainly because I just wasn't into collecting them as I used to be, and we couldn't afford to keep buying every single one when they came out. Not to mention they took up an insane amount of space. It was also a huge problem when my mum's friends came over with their kids, cause there was no way of keeping the bionicles away from them, and every time they left after like 10 hours, I have to spend a good 3 hours re organizing them into the exact positions they were in. Anyway, recently I saw an insane custom built bionicles on DeviantArt, and I really want to make my own. But I don't want to have to buy full bionicles just to end up using like 2 parts from each. Is there any program like the Lego Digital Designer, where I can assemble the parts without having to buy them, and then order it. The problem with LDD is that they shut down the model delivery option, and it never actually had any bionicle parts except the arm and leg plates. I read somewhere on here about someone asking people whether they'd like a BIONICLE-only CAD program, the topic was made in 2011 and I have no idea whether it ended up being made or not. If not, is there any way I could see what my bionicle would look like instead of ordering 500 parts and going from there?
  3. OH HEY WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT A NON-MAKUTA MOC FINALLY DOES THAT MEAN I GET POINTS FOR BREAKING THE MOLD?!?!? So yeah, Teridax wasn't the only one where I adapted the feedback I received into making a new version of a MOC. Some things I tried to improve on the previous version were making the arms more armored, and to calm down some of the details a bit (especially in the upper legs). Well, that's all I have to say really. Onto the MOC: https://flic.kr/p/J8ftEh https://flic.kr/p/JUtCzo https://flic.kr/p/K1BXuE https://flic.kr/p/J8fxLJ https://flic.kr/p/J8fyMm https://flic.kr/p/JUtKvN Feedback is always appreciated.
  4. I know for a fact that this has been asked before, but I would like to know myself: How do you pronounce these names from BIONICLE? I personally (try to) pronounce the names in as close proximity to their language of origin. So, I pronounce "Lewa" as "LEH-wah" and "Onewa" as "OH-neh-wah". I actually don't know what language Jaller's original name was derived from, so while I generally pronounce it "DZAH-lah", I will occasionally switch to "YAH-lah". I also want to know if there are any other names that you pronounce differently from the norm. For example, I pronounce Whenua's name as "ɸEH-noo-wah" rather than "WEH-noo-wah", since that is the original Māori pronunciation. EDIT: The "dz" is supposed to represent the standard pronunciation of the letter "j" in English.
  5. i was making an RP of the bionicle crossover for the first time, only on a DISCORD chat. we are playing bionicle vs dreamkeepers and need more people if there interested. it is a bright sunny day on matanui, until the darkness covers around the island. so the toa are cast out, but not in another island, but another world...bast + Tahumace & wisp + Gali & pohatulilith + kopakanamah + lewaKalei + onua you be ether toa (right) or OC (left) each of rp gets to be in separate pathslink belowhttps://discord.gg/mabfn
  6. Hello! I finally made something for Rebrick Makuta contest. Pictures are clickable. Pictures Any comments are welcome and good luck to all, who participate!
  7. My final entry into the Makuta contest. Inspired by The Reborn One from Bloodborne and Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist, I wanted to create a create a monstrous form of Makuta. Not only did I want to show him with all the masks he's collected, but I wanted him to have a body created from the many skull villains and other unfortunate victims he may have absorbed over the years living in the Shadow Realm. Hope you like, and leave your constructive criticism below. -SK

  9. As you can probably guess with the surge of Makuta MOCs going up on here, this is going to be one of those in the rebrick contest. Even though I have no chance of winning and he has the generic black/red bad guy look to him, and at least 3/4 people do not like him, I made him anyway and I'm going to share him. What I wanted to go for with him was to make him have the sort of feel the original Makuta had while bringing in something new. So naturally, the original Makuta was a huge inspiration to making this, along with Takutanuva and Karzahni. In addition to trying to have the same sort of spirit as the original Makuta, he's also made up of my trio of Makuta MOCs from back in 2008, who did not really make it past this year thanks to time and broken old parts. So I went and took some of the best aspects of them and put them towards this MOC, so you can say while they're not around today, at least they sort of live on here. So some notes on him. The Prototype version as I call him isn't much of anything, but you can see where I'm sort of going with him. He's small and plain-looking, but that's because I was trying to get a feel of where I was going with him. And Hodge Podge makes a cameo appearance. By now, my MOCs by the names of Norenka, Atheron, and Zartross have gone into him. Atheron's hands and some armor have gone into him. Is staff will later be broken down and incorporated into this MOC much later. Mk. .V (0.5) is closer to the final version, but still looking more bare and lacking. He's much taller now, he has the sort of animalistic legs going for him, and he's now taken a modified version of Norenka's spinning blade staff and a modified version Zartross' shield. The guy who inspired him makes a cameo appearance. Mk. I is what my final product. More armored up and looks imposing. Don't even ask me what the daggers at his collar are there for. Takutanuva and Black Phantom had stuff like that, so why not Makuta? His first gear gimmick allows him to swing his right arm. I almost made it swing both arms, but considering how heavy the shield is, I decided against it. Also, it made more sense he'd be swinging that staff around and holding the shield for defense. His second gear gimmick is carried from Norenka and inspired by Roodaka with how the blades on the staff spin around when turned. Good enough for trying to knock masks off, I thought. He's also got a lot of spikes and jagged edges around him to make him look sort of skeletal and imposing. He has armor almost everywhere to add mass, as well as skirt armor to move along with his legs. He's also got Zartross' feet. Mk. II built on what I liked about Mk. I while adding minor details to him. To give him more of a ruler of the underworld feel, I went with the inspiration of another ruler of the underworld from Bionicle lore and gave him chains on his arms, replacing the Bohrok eyes that now rest at his arm blades. He's also got more tubes on him like the set of Karzahni that wrap around to his back. And I changed the arrangement of some of his armor around to make him a little more cohesive. I personally thought he looked fine. Even my mom liked the way he looked (and she's always hated how most of the official sets look), but he seems to be generally hated amongst those I show him to. So while I may not win, I at least had fun making him and I'm personally fine with him. He does what I wanted him to accomplish, and that was to invoke Makuta Teridax. And they actually look good standing side by side together. Like a proud papa next to his mini-Hulk son. He also sort of compliments Umarak the Hunter pretty well (in my eyes, anyway). I have yet to obtain the Destroyer. Anyways, enjoy? The last time I said that, I got 3 dislikes and only one like on a video. So I guess if you like him, enjoy him. If you don't... there's at least five better MOCs in here of the same concept, so you can go look at those. I'll probably be posting other MOCs later on. This is the first one I've posted to here in years. 11. BS01 has been working on a very special project that we hope you'll enjoy. As a teaser, here's a quick promotional logo and an excerpt from the upcoming story. We'll have plenty more details forthcoming, so stay tuned.
  12. What do you guys think of this website? It was made to capture more of G1 in it's early, mysterious stage. Stay tuned for a new content update on the site at the start of September! http://www.wildshores.co
  13. What do you guys think of this website? It's a story that takes place in the BIONICLE universe but has a different, more mysterious tone than G2. http://www.wildshores.co
  14. Quake Beast... easily the weakest of the three beasts, and the weakest of the entire summer wave. It looks awkward from the back and the side, only looking good from the front. The function isn't really that good, either - it's just swinging the crystal arm forward without much oomph. If you ask me - they should have used Skull Basher's function here instead of a gearbox. Also, the legs are only just barely supporting the body. Umarak the Destroyer - the largest single figure G2 is ever going to get. And the last. At least it's worthy of being called a titan. Neck looks a bit awkward from the side, but given that they haven't use the normal neck ball joint, that can probably be easily fixed. Legs aren't quite as bad as they look, they have a reasonable degree of forward-backward movement. Torso gears work fine and quite well. Like Storm Beast, the hands don't have their own ball joints and are more an extension of the forearm, but Umarak's hands are so huge that it would only make Umarak look a lot more awkward. Hands could do with a bit more friction, though, but they're fine as is. Definitely looks menacing compared to the Toa, even moreso than Umarak the Hunter. The Invasion from Below claw pieces - they really do look like Umarak's claws here. Though... across all the beasts, the jaw piece is just so bad. How do you make a jaw piece and not make it have obvious teeth? You can hardly see any teeth on the jaw piece, and I'd imagine it would be received a lot more kindly if it actually looked like a lower jaw with teeth - at the moment , it's kind of hard to imagine it as a lower jaw., And the eyestalk-mask-off mechanism thing: why couldn't the beasts' 'masks' be designed so that it makes the jaw close rather than shooting their masks off?
  15. Actually more like a conclusion for the Ignition trilogy, this is an alternate introduction I made for the movie Bionicle:Legend Reborn. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARK46k2e7oM&feature=youtu.be I used Davinci Resolve, which is a great free tool for movie editing. I also used the intro music of Bionicle 3. It was quite easy to make, and didn't take that much time. And it was fun making this. I'm not a professional movie editing specialist, and I never will, but I'm quite satisfied about my work. Naturally, credits goes to Miramax, LEGO and Tinseltown Toons.
  16. Hi, guys! I would like to ask you a question: What is your favorite final battle in Bionicle. You see, they are like final boss battles in video games that can end a story(line). My question is inspired by the time when I observed Sonic the Hedgehog fans watching YouTube videos about final boss battles in Sonic games. I think they are very fun to watch and I consider final battles to be a great way to end a story(line), so that's why I ask. There is a list of them: 2001: The Toa Kaita vs. the Manas, the Toa Mata vs. Makuta Teridax in Vortex form 2002: The Toa Mata vs. the Bahrag First half of 2003: The Toa Nuva vs. the Bohrok Kal when they were near the Nuva Cube Second half of 2003: The Toa Nuva and Takanuva vs. the Rahkshi at Kini Nui, Takanuva vs. Makuta Teridax 2004: The Toa Metru vs. Nidhiki, Krekka, and Teridax 2005: The Toa Hordika vs. the Visorak and Rookaka, Keetongu vs. Sidorak and Roodaka, Vakama and Teridax vs. the Shadowed One and Voporak 2006: The Toa Inika vs. Vezon and Fenrakk/Kardas Dragon 2007: The Toa Mahri vs. the Barraki, Hydraxon vs. Maxilos (Teridax possessing it) 2008: The Toa Nuva, Takanuva, and Toa Ignika vs. the Makuta in Karda Nui 2009: Mata Nui vs. Tuma, Mata Nui and the Glatorian vs. Metus, the Skrall, and the Bone Hunters 2010: Mata Nui, Tahu, Takanuva, Gresh, and other good guys vs. Teridax, Nektann, the Rahkshi, the Skrall, and other bad guys 2015: The Toa Masters and Ekimu vs. Kulta the Skull Grinder 2016: The Toa Uniters and Ekimu vs. Umarak the Destroyer and Makuta These are the final battles from the main storylines. If there are other final battles from other things, like the serials, that you are preferring the most, you can say that, too. You see what I mean? So, what is your favorite final battle in Bionicle? For me, my favorites are the 2001, 2002, late 2003, and 2008.
  17. Due to the complicated nature of the project, I have decided to use voice actors for most of the characters instead of my sister and I doing them all. Some Background on this Universe: As some of you may know, on my channel, Surge is an ax-crazy, anti social idiot who loves electricity and has no regard for the safety of others, simply because he doesn't know he's endangering them. Also, characters from other constraction themes interact with each other, primarily the Toa Mata/Nuva and Alpha Team. To get more background on this universe, simply go to my YouTube Channel (link in bio). Most videos are simply done for fun, this will feature stopmotion and hand-free live action. Basic Plot In this film/special, Surge suddenly grows in size and power. Alpha Team attempts to stop him but fails, locking themselves underground to avoid Surge's detection. The Toa Mata, stranded on the planet, decide to stop Surge once and for all. **HOW TO APPLY** 1. Record yourself saying a quote from the character, or something you think they would say. 2. Send it to toabioniclefactory@gmail.com with the subject "BvsHF: AoA." 3. You can do multiple characters, just as long as it's hard to tell it's you for both. 4. If you are selected (and when the script is 100% complete), then i will send you a copy of it. **SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Halloween 2016** This is going to be a massive project for me, so I want to choose all the voice actors by Halloween so I can have all of the dialogue recorded by Thanksgiving. All Available Characters: The numbered list tells you what kind of voice you can do for that character. They are listed according to my personal preference for which one I would like the most. You can do any version or combination of versions, or submit your own version the way you think they would sound. For those who don't know, COTC is Chronicles of the Chronicler, a series by an old BioTuber. You should be able to find it without much issue. For the Toa's voices, I would recommend watching COTC 3 for Tahu and Pohatu (and Gali if you want). COTC 4 may be a better option for Tahu because he's more of a main character in that one. Tahu: 1. COTC 2. Toned down MoL 3. Toned down Heronexous/ CallanLoF's MATA Gali: MoL, your normal voice, or whatever you want. In this case, I don't care. Pohatu: 1. COTC 2. CallanLoF 3. Toned down MoL **Toa Kaita**: Fusions of the component Toa's voices. This will be done like the BIONICLE ANP did their Kaita voices. Baselines will be done by me, since I know how I want the lines to be said. Akamai’s baseline is Onua and Wairuha's baseline is Kopaka. Nex: Obvious Australian accent, just like the HF specials. Voltix: HF special Goons: All you have to do is various grunt noises (OOF, ow, etc), so you'll get the role no matter what, since I don't know how many I'll need.Electro/Energy (1999 Slizer/Throwbot): Based on the “I'm so stoked my dudes” meme. I may end up doing this one myself because it's so specific. **Keep in mind that other people will be trying out for for these roles and you are not guaranteed the part.**
  18. Some of you might remember this blog entry I made a few months ago asking which of the sets I had bought that I should build first. I only had three at the time: Tahu Uniter, General Grievous, and Darth Vader. And Tahu won in the end. But now I have six sets just sitting around because I haven't gotten to building them yet. (This can be blamed on a combination of my job, Pokemon Go, Federation Force, and my love of Youtube videos and TV shows. ) But now thanks to school starting up, the slow season is about to start at my job. Better yet, I'm actually getting an extra day off next week because I work all of Labor Day Weekend. Thus, I should have time to build at least one of my un-build sets. And just like the first time, I thought it would be fun to ask my fellow members to vote to see which set I should build. I keep the voting time open until Monday, and I'll build whichever set received the most votes. The sets I have are: General Grievous: 0 Darth Vader: 0 Umarak The Destroyer: 0 Ekimu Titan: 0 Quake Beast: 0 Lava Beast: 0 I will make a blog entry on the winning set after I have built it and post my thoughts on it. I'm curious to see who will win. Vote away!

  20. At the end of my documentary "The Constraction Movie" it's going to show quotes from fans about how constraction has impacted their lives and I wonder how constraction has impacted your lives?
  21. So now that the Flickr contest has reached its final phase, I thought I'd post this MOC in its own thread in order to get some feedback. I'll probably re-vamp it based on suggestions - not to enter it again in the future, seeing as most contest forbid that, but simply because it looked a lot cooler in my head when I thought it up, and want to squeeze as much out of the concept as possible. Full album: https://flic.kr/s/aHskAYaHyU Backstory: Korval, also known as the Blizzard Reaper, is a rare sight indeed. This being is the embodiment of death in the Matoran Universe, however he is something of a "newcomer". No record of him appeared until a few decades before the great disturbance. No one knows how he came to be - was he already in the MU, but in hiding? Is he the result of an unfortunate encounter with energised protodermis? Is he one of the vile creations of the meddling Makuta? Whatever the truth may be, Korval is feared by all. His mask, the only one of its kind known to exist, is constantly active, creating a violent snowstorm in a given radius around him. His Scythe is said to have a hunger of its own. Not many, not even Korval himself, knows the true extent of the Scythe's powers. It is was lends its wielder his great aptitude in combat. Korval has limited telekinesis exclusive to the scythe. Wherever the scythe may be, with a thought Korval can lift it and will it into his grasp. When embedded in an enemy, be they wounded or dead, Korval may control the victim's body as long as the blade of the scythe is not removed. He sees through the sinister eyes of the skull adorning the scythe, and the few who survived an encounter say when he speaks, a second voice repeats his words from the same skull. One of the most sinister qualities of the scythe about which no-one is aware, is that it cancels out the protocols of the Red Star. Any being in the MU slain with this weapon will not be resurrected. In spite of his grim task, Korval is not inherently "evil". His purpose in the MU is to compensate for the appearance of new, additional and dangerous beings within the machine due to the Makuta's experiments, encounters with Energized Protodermis or other causes. The internal ecology of the Great Spirit Robot is fragile, but necessary to ensure optimal function. Korval acts as something of an anti-virus measure. Dangerous creatures who do not fit into the function of the GSR are eliminated by him. While his scythe grants him special powers and augments his skill in battle overall, he is hardly defenseless without it. His mask-power alone, which causes a violent and disorienting blizzard around him can end weaker foes. His left arm ends in massive claws which rend flesh and armor alike, and his tail is also a formidable weapons. The appendages sprouting from his shoulders are also dangerous, however while they can move, he cannot independently control them, but like five-fingered being cannot move some of their fingers independently of one another, those appendages move due to the conscious movement of the arms. The many small spikes on his body excrete a venom which dulls the minds of his enemies. I tried to take inspiration from some of the Titan sets of the latter years, like 06,07 and slightly 08. I went with a white and red color scheme with some silver added as armor, since white and red, excluding Krika and Pridak, wasn't a scheme often seen in Bionicle. This MOC is actually a mix of two earlier MOC concepts. I started out with the scythe and only once it was done did I start thinking of what kind of character should accompany it. Initially I thought of a more straight up thin, skeletal reaper like guy. On the side, I was working on a bulked up Pridak revamp that started straying further and further away from the original design, becoming his own character. I've seen some extremely impressive and amazing MOCs both here on the site and in the BZP Flickr group. Would any of you skilled and experienced MOCists bless me with some suggestions, techniques and critiques?
  22. So the questions in this topic are simple: what did you think of the Bionicle: Mask of Creation and Bionicle: Mask of Control mobile games and would you recommend either of them to someone. I've personally never played them before, as I didn't have a device that could download them until about a month ago. I have thought about getting one or both of them since I do have an Iphone now though, but I haven't made up my mind yet. Maybe this poll will help me decide. So, what did you all think of these games?
  23. I'm going to be making a constraction documentary called the constraction movie and if you've got any questions or want to discuss it then here's where you can discuss it. Or you can ask me about on my tumblr blog http://limeflavouredlibertarian24.tumblr.com/
  24. -justify that it did? I haven't been particularly active on BZP lately, so just before Bionicle ended, I was distressed to find a bevy of threads in which people butted heads over whether the line would continue past Summer 2016. In particular, there was serious vehemence against so-called "doomsayers" ... but they were proven right. I'm not trying to point fingers or attack certain community members, but I'm just honestly very curious as to how the gentlefolks who shot down the "naysayers" feel, why they had the opinions that they did, and how that meshes with the reality of the Bionicle G2 situation. Edit: I completely borked the title. If some mod can clean that up to "Folks who vehemently denied that Bionicle was ending..." , I'd be much obliged.
