Okay, so I've already posted a topic about the Galidor Glincher files I salvaged, but I have updates for it now. Unfortunately, the topic hasn't been posted on for a few years, so if I've got BZPower's rules correct, I can't add to my old existing topic, but I can make a new one. Here's a link to my original topic, and when you're finished reading it, I'll discuss the updates below. Alright, so about a month ago, I tried to convert the models again with Terrev's 3DXML-to-OBJ converter at https://github.com/Terrev/3DXML-to-OBJ . I still couldn't figure it out, but then I went to https://rockraidersunited.com/topic/7897-3dxml-to-obj-converts-ldd-model-captures-to-obj/ and watched the linked tutorial videos jamessterV2 posted at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsP1QZr39W0 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqKf5gmfZbs . That showed me how to convert the models to OBJ, so now I have versions of all the Galidor Glincher parts/characters that most 3D model viewers can read. Then I used waifu2x-caffe to denoise and upscale their textures. Now they look just about as good as 20-year-old models can. I bundled them into all a 7zip file; the base folders have the models with the original textures, and the subfolders of each of those folders, which are each called "(UpPhoto)(noise_scale)(Level3)(tta)(x4)", have the models with the upscaled textures. I ripped a number of Galidor set models from Templar's Galidor Glincher as 3DXMLs a while back. One of them I converted to DAE and then to .blend. A mysterious creature from The Outer Dimension. Can often be found selling wares (that may or may not be stolen, he refuses to answer) in Dreejal Vin... This guy was a fun experiment with my limited Galidor collection, and my first substantial moc in a long time with no ccbs.

- Eons ago, before Gorm's takeover, the Amphibibs made their mark on the Outer Realm. With his powerful force ax and telekinetic powers, Agamemnon struck fear into the hearts of all those who saw him. - I find to be G1 hard to use. I think it paid off this time though, as I feel like this is perhaps my best moc of the year. Let me know what you think!

Is Lego bringing back Galidor? In the new Ninjago movie set there are the two Easter eggs to the line. The minifigs shirt and the coming soon movie poster. The biggest clue to a potential return is the movie poster that says coming soon. It is a key detail that Lego added for a reason. If Lego was not creating a Galidor G2 then why add a coming soon label? It begs the question is Galidor returning and if so is it going to be in constraction or system. I think it will be a system series to replace Nexo Knights. So what do think?

This took really, REEEEEAAAAALLY long to make. I wanted to cover just about every little thing about these guys I could, leaving no stone unturned (aside from the combo models, the boxes and the skull spiders, which I'll go over in the LoSS review). I wanted to make this THE definitive review of the new Toa for anyone just jumping into this. And, in case anyone's missed it, here's the Protectors review. Now, the thing to keep in mind about the Toa review... yes. It's very, very long. I am looking at all six of them in one video, after all, and there's a lot more to talk about with them than the Protectors. There's more to it than that, though. If I just went over the basic gist of the Toa themselves, the review itself would be half as long. The first twenty minutes or so are me... actually REVIEWING the Toa in the same style as the Protectors, because that's how long it took me to go over most of the finer points of them. The last twenty minutes, though, are me going down memory lane and talking about what constraction's always meant to people, for good and ill. It's mainly a much needed defense of CCBS, though, to combat the ignorance being spread by people (mostly on youtube) who say things like "You're a bad moccist if you use hero factory parts" or "If you like these new sets, you have no credibility and nothing you say should be taken seriously." There is an ALARMING number of people like this. Simply disliking CCBS is fine, but the reasons for it I'm hearing are... pretty crazy. So, I felt compelled to take this chance to push back at the ignorance being spread, to make some kind of final statement on the true value of these toys, and if any of you have been dealing with these sorts of people, this video should be some sort of catharsis for you, and maybe something to share with those people. Don't worry, there's no swear words or harsh language. I was originally going to save those final thoughts for the end of the LoSS review, but I realized they just wouldn't have a tenth of the impact then, if I did that. I had to include it in the Toa review, the new face of Bionicle that so many people disregard unfairly. Anyway, I hope this starts a good discussion. If you know anyone who you think should see this (be it the first twenty minutes or the last twenty minutes), please don't hesitate to share it with them. I made this to be THE final word on these things, CCBS an' all that. I know that sounds incredibly arrogant, like I'm making myself the man in charge, but I'm not. Just saying, if anyone gives you trouble for liking the new sets, shoot them down with this. Anything to combat the spread of ignorance. Enjoy!
