I tried to revamp the Mahri Matoran design and give them more articulation. The shoulders are a WIP but I like them. Also, Dekar got shafted in the story and should have become a Toa. Defilak is cool too.

Hello all! Long-time lurker, finally I have decided to try and hunt some of the earlier sets that I had when I was younger. If you have any extra sets that you are looking to get rid of, please let me know! I might be interested in them I'm mainly looking for any sets starting from Piraka all the way to Phantoka. If you have any up for grabs let me know!

I haven't been on here for a very long time... but I just drew this today on my Wacom pad, and it's not my best drawing, but hey it only took about 2 hours. I don't even care to fix his legs that I drew a little too long... but oh well. lol I was also listening to this Undertale soundtrack while drawing, it's from a surprisingly good rpg. "Hopes and Dreams" and "His Theme" made me think of Matoro, and his story. Anyway.I've been going through a lot the past several months, and it's been pretty hard, but haven't drawn anything in a long time. So it's good to feel nostalgic, and reminds me of a much... simpler time. Well, I guess enjoy this little bit of artwork everyone. http://doubleshadowx01.deviantart.com/art/Matoro-Mahri-584086967

This has been bother me for a while. Toa teams are usually named after their island, right? There are some exceptions (Toa Nuva and Toa Hordika) but those names pertain to their upgrades, and otherwise they would have the same name because they were still on the same island. So why weren't the Inika the Toa Voya?

Hopefully this won't get taken down, technically it's not one-click. Every day, hundreds six Toa are attacked for their differences. Other characters call them worthless, bully them, and physically hurt them. But you can help these Toa. Don't put people down for their differences. Your monthly donation of 4 Cordak bullets will help one of these Toa in need. If you call now, we'll even send you a picture of the Toa as well as a free copy of Crashed by Daughtry. Don't hesitate another moment. call today. Stop the Hate.

So I have a brand new, unboxed and unopened Toa Matoro Mahri, I found this in a box of christmas presents I had in my basement and how it got there I don't know as I am a huge Bionicle fan. The plastic box itself isn't damaged and seems to be mint, the cardboard on the back is also in great condition it still has the sellotape on it and doesn't seem to have ever been opened. But I am very curious as to how much this could actually be worth, I can't seem to find it on Ebay(I know I should probably try and check more places but I'm lazy). So I would appreciate it very much if someone could tell me how much this would be worth. Thanks. P.s Sorry if this is in the wrong Forum section I didn't know were elso to put it.

Yo, this is my Entry to the BBC #69 - "Everything Old is New Again!" I was kinda anxious about this thing at first, since when I started building about a week before now, none of the new sets where available where I live, but today they finally showed up on shelves and I got whatever I could, and finished off my entry to this contest. I think that the big aesthetic difference between a Hero Factory model, and the new Bionicle models, is the new armour add-on. I didn't use those sparingly on this thing, but I think the way they are used on this MOC work really well, and don't seem too "overused". Aside from that one new consistent piece from this wave, another thing that brings the new style of Bionicle on top of other CCBS-built themes, is that the characters are a lot more expressive, and to be blunt, a lot more fun and interesting. I watched two kids get so excited about Tahu in stores when I was buying my 2015 sets. They were completely blown away with how "awesome" he looked surfing on lava, on a board that split into huge swords. The new sets have a much higher play value too, especially with the new, or improved gear mechanism that a lot of new fans would not have seen before on a buildable action figure. (and it works so much better than it ever did on a Gen 1 Bionicle set ) Matoro was my favourite character from Gen 1, so it only seemed right to me to recreate him in the modern style for this competition. I made sure that this MOC retained the same shape and stance as the original. The frame of the torso was built on one of the new gearboxes, with an articulated waist connecting to an old Bionicle hip piece, and on top of that are white shells. The limbs are CCBS bones and so the appearance of the modern style came naturally to those. I also updated his weapons and shoulder pads using newer pieces too, including my custom Cordak Blaster using the new 6-stud shooter. I tried to keep the MOC as true as possible to the original depiction, in terms of shape, stance, colours and colour distribution. I know that was boring so here's what you came here for, the MOC! Link to full gallery on Imgur: http://imgur.com/a/isVHV First up, and probably the most important picture on this post is this side-by-side comparison of the original depiction of Toa Mahri Matoro, and mine. Here you can see how I managed to maintain the look and feel of Matoro, while updating every aspect, and detail of him. Here's the back of him, he's using the new gear box which is attached to his arm. (and why wouldn't it be? ) His Cordak Blaster and Twin Cutter. The skeleton/frame I think the biggest difference between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 styles, is that CCBS has solid frame that you build up, and then add the modular armour pieces on top of, shaping the character as you build, and that the older sets don't seem to have much of a defined system at all. Size comparison with Tahu and Protector of Fire. Thank you for checking this out, comments and criticism is welcome, and an upvote is always appreciated.

Nuparu is one of my favorite characters in the series, so I was naturally displeased when his Mahri set was so bland and holey. Here's a revamp, complete with my own version of his aqua blaster blade and shield. front back pose

Does anybody know where/how I can obtain an .ldf file for the Mahri visor piece? Thanks!

There hasn't really been that much talk about the Mahri sets, so why not start a discussion? | _______________________________________________________________________________________| I'm going to say I like Nuparu the best out of all the sets, simply because of his mask and overall epicness. What about you? It can be any set, toa, barraki, small or big. Any Mahri set to be honest. Note: I added the claw to Nuparu so it looks a bit better

Most of the Kaita we've seen have either Fire+Earth+Stone or Air+Ice+Water. However I decided that having Fire+Earth+Water would work better for an '07 Kaita due to Hewkii Mahri having a significantly brighter coloration than Jaller and Nuparu. Also, Hahli's wings use a different piece in this model, due to my pair having very worn down connection nubs. With that out of the way, I'd like to introduce you all to my Mahri Kaita! Here are the links to the brickshelf images (sorry about the overly bright lighting): Front Back Right Side Left Side Pose If you guys want, I can post some instructions later. Thanks, and enjoy!

Does anyone know how much a Bionicle Mahri display from 2007 is worth? It was on the shelves of Wal-Mart in 2007 and has Mahri Jaller, Mahri Hali, and Mahri Kongu. What's most interesting is that the product picture and ID for Hali is a picture of Mahri Matoro. So does any one know the value of this?

Behold! Matoro Mahri I wanted to try out my wacom pad, and I think I got the hang of using the drawing pad. It's not bad for a first try at it. However, I don't know why he ended up looking similar to kirito in sword art online season 2, you know kind of feminine... but heck, it's not my fault his set design has feminine features. Anyway, I got lazy by not adding shading like I normally would, but I might do that later. This took about 1 hour and a half to complete. I'm still new at using my wacom pad and the Manga Studio Debut 4.0 program it came with. So practice makes perfect... I guess? Criticism or compliments, feel free to be as brutally honest as you wish, because a shadow of truth never killed anyone... (Oh and here's a link to a voice audition for Matoro, which inspired me to draw him in the first place.)

Vote away, and feel free to point out any good choices that I've missed in the poll! [Edit] I've now added the rest of the Chronicler's Company! [Edit again] There is now a "No-one" option!

So, I was looking around at photos of the Toa Mahri (trust me, I spend my time wisely! I do!) when I had a thought. Why would Kongu have two Cordak Revolving Blasters? I know there was a lot of controversy over the fact that in the story he discarded a melee weapon of unknown origin, and a topic started where members debated what it could have been/what they thought it was. Now, I decided to read up on the Mahri (not because I had no idea of their story, but as a refresher) and as it says the reason Kongu took a second blaster was to be better prepared. Now, honestly, between six rocket launchers, you're prepared as is, so why take a 7th? Well, I have a couple of theories as to why. 1. He knows long range weaponry. This made sense considering he's always used Bamboo disks back on Mata Nui, and ended up having an Energized Crossbow on Voya Nui. He knows how to hit his targets, so it may be that he isn't used to close quarters combat. To be honest, I don't believe we've ever seen him with a melee weapon. He may have used one, sure, but I can't remember seeing him with one. 2. It was the natural progression of his set. You see, I looked at the Mahri's weapons in comparison to the Inika's, and saw a slight pattern. Granted, it may be coincidence, but I thought it may contribute. When you look at what weapons they had/have, you see that they transformed to something similar to their prior tool. Jaller had (dual in story) a sword which turned into... Another sword, no surprise. Hahli had a harpoon which turned into a giant claw. Hewkii had an axe which had a shape unlike most axes, which then turned into a blade on a stick, but still retained a very streamline look. Nuparu was supposed to have a weapon that ended up looking like this, which if it was to resemble that shape would look similar to his drill. Matoro is a tad bit of an odd ball, since he had a sword that turned into awkward hooks. But following this, considering Kongu had a crossbow (a ranged weapon), is it hard to believe that having a second blaster would make sense? I dunno if I'm just over thinking it or just seeing things, so that's why I decided to post this topic. What do you guys think? Does this make sense to you, or do you think he just should have gone with the flow (no pun intended) and kept a mysterious melee weapon?

Before he was a hideous fish creature, he was a legendary warlord! This is what I think Pridak looked like before his mutation (and after Mata Nui reverted him back.)http://i45.tinypic.com/2qclc1u.jpgHere's a closeup. The mask was inspired by Dark Knight Rises Bane.http://i48.tinypic.com/34yyxs1.jpgEdit: Images linked - please keep the file size of posted pics below 100 kB! Feel free to compress or resize them and put them up again, though.-Wind-

Orginally made for the 2012 Bio-cup on MOCpages, Here's Hahli, Toa Mahri of water!Linkage: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/325290"Why Revamp Hahli?"A. I like female builds :3 B. Hahli needed a more feminine appearance. C. Hahli's Color scheme was really nice, and it gave us solid dark blue 2006 parts, which was really nice.Comments and Constructive criticism are welcome!
