Identity: General]Citamgine no longer burned; with the Council dead and the loyalists disorganized the rebels had quickly taken the capital, securing their position and beginning the struggle to form a new government. They now knew the model the Confederation used would not work; so they began working on a new form, a Council not elected by national leaders, but a Senate elected by the people. The numerous nations that were in the Confederation would become less nation and more state. There was some debate over the name, but it eventually was decided... the Natsirt Star Empire. A new government for a new, bold age.Meanwhile the economy had taken minimal damage; the businesses, having sided with the rebellion, had kept their workers safe, and all the other businesses that didn't side stayed neutral and out of the fighting. Soon enough the colony worlds would become great forge worlds, and while the lose of New Kory had put their economy back, the Natsirt knew they would recover. OOCThe Trekkie within me was unstoppable. At least they don't have green blood.IC [Location: 1-9. IC:The kinetic based Autocannon, long a mainstay of the Syrrinx Fleet, had been deemed inefficient, less damage for the resources than many alternatives. Because of that combined with the dropping cost of Antimatter, the Syrrinx fleet began swapping out said Autocannons for Rotary Missile Launchers. Refitting the entire fleet however, would take time.OOC: Note; for a full scale refit of an entire fleet to match new weapon paradigms, you have two options. The first is to refit part of the fleet at a time, having the rest of the fleet ready for battle while a certain portion is being refitted. This takes three days. Alternately, you can have the entire fleet drydocked and refitted in one day, but for that day you are vulnerable.Begin Refit of the Syrrinx fleet, replacing Autocannons with Rotary Missile Launchers. 3 Days to completion.

OOC: Just want to point out that the Osalieli were usikng tight-beam comms to the TAP HQ, meaning that unless you were in the line of the radio beam, you couldn't pick it up. It's something like a laser pointer--unless you're on the other end of the beam, you won't see it. Hence why the Imperium uses them. :w:

Besides, all it has to do is poke around the ground networks instead of the planet-orbit ones...I'm still not sure how ansibles work, though.To clarify, I don't mind him picking it up...just not sure how he'd do it.

Ansibles are a tight beam, and you can't scramble them. Only way to intercept them is by being roughly where the receiver would normally be, since that's where the light slows down to lightspeed.

One note: With enough distance, even a tight beam spreads out into a cone. This is important for two reasons.1: It allows vessels to intercept the transmission while not interrupting the transmission.2: With two separate ships, you can determine the origin point of the cone, and find the original transmitter.
