Hapori Tohu
The LEGO Bionicle Facebook page has been updated with a cool image for Halloween. The caption reads, "What's your Halloween expression? An example of how we have worked with expressions," and features a bunch of different faces for Tahu in the animation style of the upcoming shorts. It's pretty awesome and reinforces how great the new art style is in my opinion. Can't wait to see more! Gatanui
Does that honestly surprice you? These look really, really cool. Wish the picture quality could be better, though. -Gata 1 Quote - Gata Please don't use my avatar or signature without permission, thanks!
Zeddy
lol they misspelled "paralyzed" as well, but who cares, really I have to say this new art style is growing on me. It's simple and very versatile. Also Tahu's mask here looks better than the actual one. 1 Quote [blog|Message]
Vorahk1Panrahk2
The new BIONICLE team must have an issue with proofreading, or something. Anyway, not really surprising to see that a focus is being placed on having expressive characters, and it's definitely welcome. In the older animation, and especially the comic art styles, it could sometimes be difficult to tell what a character was thinking based purely on image alone. Toa Smoke Monster
Does the happy/laughing expression remind anyone of Eve's happy/laughing face from Wall-E? I look at it, and I see Eve's happy/laughing look from the movie. Anyway, these are really cool. I'm just 'surpriced' that the story team doesn't have better proofreaders. We're really lucky to be getting this kind of glimpse behind-the-scenes, so I'm not going to fault them for a typo or two. believe victims
I'd imagine the typos are from english not being their first language, just like why their speech was hesitant and stilted at the panel. I'm so glad we're looking at actual expressions instead of Dull Surprise like a lot of Transformers media.
Nidhiki of the Shadows
Haha those typos. xD Really like the expressions of Tahu. Some are really cute. Definitely a nice cartoony style that can range through many different emotions. Really digging it! -NotS

Saint-14
Hooray, my email got noticed~ I'm really excited for the animation, hopefully they'll make a movie in this style and in CG. It would be cool if they did something where it incorporated both styles (new and old). The expressiveness is pretty great, too, considering the mask seems static and it is the eyes that have the majority of the expression Quote BZPRPG: Akamu, Toa of Ice Talk to me about Destiny! Hitoshura
Oh thank god they actually used different emotions for Tahu instead of copy/pasting the same image then adding different captions. Have to say I'm starting to like this new art style though. Quote profiles
Gonel
I love the 'paralized' at the end. I wouldn't be surpriced if it were used once or twice in whatever media Lego uses (Actually, I hadn't noticed my use of the word 'surprise until I'd almost posted it.) Edited October 31, 2014 by The Toa Kaita Nuva Nui Quote To all BIONICLE fanfiction writers - send me your work, I'd genuinely love to read it - especially canon compliant pieces. I'm always looking for more such material to read and to circulate with my friends.

Ballom Nom Nom
Oof, those typoes. Ah well, nobody's perfect. I'm glad this was posted though! It's cool to see how Tahu can emote without the mouth of the mask moving, and I'm glad he doesn't always appear to be too serious. ~B~
GSR
I'm a huge sucker for character pose/emotion galleries, so this was a fantastic thing to wake up to. Looking forward to seeing how they differentiate with the other Toa! Quote Hey: I'm not very active around BZP right now. Banana Gunz
This looks great! I'm glad to see they're working to make the toa actually have emotions and not just bland robots. I wish Lego would actually keep hinting and giving more stuff to keep us completely hyped til January. Things have kinda calmed down since Comicon... Kek
This is great. All these elastic expressions make me think that the Toa won't just be showing one emotion 99% of the time, and there will be some genuine interactions between them.
