You forget that Rassilon masquerades as TTL's lost son (even though TTL2 never had a kid) and starts two civil wars that makes him ruler of the Jungle. I hope you use that part of the lore I gave you because it sounds like something the Jungle would do.

Getting ride of a democracy for a monarchy/dictatorship that may back fired is total a jungle thing to do.
