In the Portal Gun mod, can you actually go to the moon through the portal, or does it just kill you?

Also, just realized... the moon has gravity, so why does Wheatley go flying?

The force of the vacum of space shoots him out... Anyways, off topic.

So one person who is trying to download my squidageddon mod seems to be having trouble downloading it, not sure if it's just him or not, trying to figure it out.

I can't wait for the server to come back on.

In the meantime, anyone have any good servers.

--------------------------------------

It just kills you. ;-) It's essentially an instant portal to Void, but it actively sucks things in and when you die your stuff MAY end up splatted around near the portal (I'm not sure if that is a bug or not).

I've always had trouble with Forge. Even if I install it correctly, as soon as I open a map the game freaks out. Have to use a special client when trying forge mods.

There's a special client!? Where?

EDIT: Never mind, I've figured out what it was: it was that Peaceful Days mod I tried installing to get rid of mobs entirely!

EDIT: Oh lord... never mind! Another report:

Make sure to delete the META.INF file that forge comes with. It screws everything to kingdom come. And you are installing this on a clean jar right?

Anyways, yesterday I spent a good hour trying to get some formatting on command blocks. Jeb lost a good many awesome points during that time.

Yep, that's the way you do it.

By the way, best superflat map ever: leave structure generation on, set biome to desert, take out everything below the sand. It's an exercise in resisting temptation. I failed and caused the sandpocalypse.

Oh, and even better: Set all blocks to air, gen structures on. Keep trying until you spawn right next to a village, then just keep dying until you land on it. Use the lava from a smithy and the water from the well to make a cobble generator.

That sounds immensely frustrating, and crazier than what I usually do, but on the other hand it doesn't let you cause the apocalypse because you got curious.

I've done that in cheats, might put up a download of it soon.

I tried that and now my computer is in the hospital thanks to you and my curiosity. On another note my friends and I are gonna have a "bet" on which mob will win in my big End fight as soon as I get the Alien Vs Predator mod in.

I wish I had Minecraft. I have a mojang account, but I don't think mum will buy it for me. Plus the demo crashes for me. I think I can go on classic. :3

Mind you, I do go on teh Wiki, and I watch alot of Minecraft videos. I think if I got it, I would know how to start off! :D

Still wishing for Minecraft...

Might get it for my B-Day.

Yes, that can happen sometimes. I just had to close out Minecraft (with a little help from Task Manager) and delete that world.

Client mods like NEI and Rei's Minimap are nice, but simple SP mods are cool too.Guess what? The server's up. Who needs to be whitelisted? Hmm, I'm having IP problems... I'll try to troubleshoot, but for now, just keep trying to connect.

Sorry guys, but I can no longer staticize my IP, apparently... PPStaticIP doesn't recongnize any internet connections. And apparently there is something very wrong with the formatting...

Picked up the full version for PC a few days ago after watching a few dozen M0d Showcases and LPs (AntVenom, CavemanFilms, and Direwolf20 mostly). I've been playing with a few mods, but haven't done too much with any one besides the RedPower 2 sickle (since that makes farming and seed-gathering ten times easier). I started a new world when I picked up Thaumcraft, but haven't done much with it just yet. Not really doing anything multiplayer-wise, just digging around in a couple single-player worlds. My big thing is large underground facilities that are hard to detect (usually built into a cave or as cave expansions, sometimes I'll dig into large hills, though). I've got a few simple structures going on my main world (my house is built into an overhang in a Jungle biome) and I made the mistake of putting the chickens in the same room as my chest. They repeatedly get stuck (not to mention attempts at escape). I redesigned that room, and it's alright now. Current project is my observation platform, built into a high level of a 2x2 Jungle tree. After that, I'll probably do a bit of mining, see what I can find under my house.

Basically yes. It still exists, but you'd either have to buy me and yourself Hamachi or you'd have to come to my house.I might pay for a dedicated server, and I'm looking into prices and other options. We'll see how that goes.

Oh, these bats are SO annoying! I have to exterminate bunches of them whenever night falls! > :(
IKRAnyway, I'm hosting a Hamachi server with The X, but I can only host 3 more people, so that's kinda limited... I'll see what I can do, I guess...

I like bats. I just wish I could train them to carry tiny incendiary devices, and then they would hide in people's houses in the daytime and boom, no more houses. Unless they're built with not-wood, but hey, you can't win all the time.

....maaaaybe.

The main feature will be the Transfusion Table, which will be like the Enchantment Table, but it will add secondary effects to tools, which will introduce more combat versatility (as opposed to just spamming leftclick). For example, a sword with Accuracy II and Adrenaline IV will let you move faster and have a slight autotarget effect, but you will also have a nausea effect and blurred vision.

Of course this is all preliminary, and eventually I want to get rid of the enchantment-type names, and make it so that you have to figure the effects out yourself...

So Nether Brick, Nether Star, and the rest of the formula's the same as an Enchanting Table's formula?
