Record For Tallest Lego Tower Broken

Recommended Posts

Last week in South Korea the record for the world's tallest LEGO tower was broken. Constructed in front of Seoul's Olympic Stadium, the tower stands 104 feet, 8 inches tall - a foot taller than the previous record-holder. Four thousand children used over fifty thousand bricks to create this impressive structure. It's always amazing to see the things you can do with LEGO bricks!View the full article

104 feet, 8 inches?Pshaw, I have that much just in my room. Also, this once again just goes to show that some people have too much time on their hands.

Well, I'd bet I have that many too, but they try and build these so they don't fall over :P

Sure you can. All you need is a Technic-reinforced superstructure. :)Although it would be have to be a considerably large one; 104 ft, 8 in is 4 times the height of a two story house. It is nothing to laugh at, especially when it falls on someone. Edited by fishers64

People have a little bit too much time on their hands. =P Nonetheless, I suppose that's one of those records that is amazing when broken. Was it said how long it took to build?

On the day the wall came down / They threw the locks onto the ground

And with glasses high / We raised a cry / For freedom had arrived

On the day the wall came down / The ship of fools had finally run aground

Promises lit up the night / Like paper doves in flight

I dreamed you had left my side / No warmth, not even pride remained

And even though you needed me / It was clear that I could not do a thing for you

Now life devalues day by day / As friends and neighbors turn away

And there's a change that even with regret / Cannot be undone

Now frontiers shift like desert sands / While nations wash their bloodied hands

Of loyalty, of history / In shades of grey

I woke to the sound of drums / The music played, the morning sun streamed in

I turned and I looked at you / And all but the bitter residues slipped away

slipped away...
