IC: San Vroon

As the Kel Dorian Knight walked through the quiet hallways of the Jedi temple he happened to pass by a familiar face: Alyia Faraxa. It wasn't one that people tended to forget since she was a Devaronian. One of the more interesting alien species to San Vroon. Mostly due to the fact that the male and females looked drastically different.

San Vroon stopped near the Devaronian female and inclined his head. "I see you have returned from yet another diplomatic mission. Tell me how did things go?" Vroon asked. He was always interested to hear how the diplomatic efforts were going in a time of war. Even if he detested politics in general.

IC: Ammaton Kirkbride | Coruscant ---> Glittering Sky Casino

"Yuuuuuuarrrrgghghhhhghhghghghghhoorlooolll!"

See, the sounds of a Wookie, such as those aren't the type of thing many people are familiar with. The Bartender at the Glittering Sky Casino may or may not have known the language, but whether or not that was the cast, he wouldn't have a chance to say anything.

"I might ask the same thing, neighbor." said Ammaton Kirkbride, a rather average looking guy in torn up, worn-out clothes who looked like he had just recently been caught up in a major fight, as he almost immediately came up to the same bar. In fact, there was still a little bit of blood dried on his lip, and sweat stains were obvious on his shirt. "What do you know about the Swoop Gang?"

IC: Gnar

Gnar's head snapped to the right as the new voice sounded and his fists clinched a bit at the sight of the torn up man. At first the only emotion he felt was rage since obviously due to his questioning it was likely this man was a Bounty Hunter as well looking to collect on the same contract. But then Gnar's furry features softened a bit when he realized it seemed the bartender did not know how to speak Wookiee, or perhaps he was too frightened to reply to Gnar. This man was restating Gnar's question and giving him the information he would need. Perhaps he was just looking to translate for Gnar, but such an act of random kindness was pretty rare.

"Thank you." Gnar said to the man since it was obvious he understood him.

Darth Recusatia's grin grew wider. "Yourself and a number of the students." Looking over the assembled apprentices, Recusatia looked like a benevolent school-teacher and healer. Not the whirling engine of destruction that haunted the nightmares of many Jedi. "Would ah, Anshar Rune, Vel Orral and Jaceren Gans please step forward?" Noble tradition it might have been, but those masks made it difficult to tell everyone apart and tapping in their minds would be a wasted effort at this point. She inclined her head torwards one of the IG-100 battle droids. "Do fetch Lord Gurrox. He will be needed." Without a word, the droid turned about and marched down the hallway.

IC: Jaceren

Disbelief crossed Jaceren's face beneath his mask for a moment. Then a look of excitement. Could it be she was choosing him to be apart of the strike team? Jaceren itched for some real combat it had been a while since he'd been on a real mission or a real battlefield. Jaceren reached up and slowly pulled off his mask before he threw his dark hood down. His dark black hair was a bit matted with sweat though his red and yellow eyes were full of ambition as Jaceren tucked his mask away and stepped forward.

"I am Jaceren." he said to be sure that Darth Recusatia knew his face.

IC (RC-8358 "Werda"; Clone Barracks, Coruscant):

Werda was sent flying by the rockets, and hit the edge of the canyon. His vitals were well under fifty percent, but he was still battle operational. Shooting a shot off in response to 38's question, 58 jumped back into the shadows, but ran behind a bacta tank instead.

"Cover fire, open it's legs.

"Boss! Da needle is pointin' in da red! Dat ain't good!"

IC: Alyia

The Devaronian Jedi glanced over at the sound of the voice, recognizing fellow Knight San Vroon, the Kel Dor's breath mask muffling his speech slightly.

"Well enough," Alyia replied, nodding in greeting, "We've managed to keep Vondarc from succeeding from the Republic completely, though relationships are still... strained."

Though she wouldn't admit it herself, such things were beginning to become... tiring.

IC (Jedi Guardian Gabriel Khorne (Relation to the Character from Warhammer 40k intentional) Jedi Temple.):

Khorne resided in his room, meditating. He had some time on his hands, and felt the need to hesitate his actions and meditate to ease the temptations of the aggressive nature he had. He also had to work on sensing people around him better, lest an assassin get him.

The Kel Dor nodded his head stiffly his tentacles moving slightly. "I see," he said as he took in her information for a moment.

"Times are hard but you must keep up the good work. What you are doing makes a difference even if it doesn't seem as significant as fighting on the battle field. Every ally we can keep or acquire can help tip this war in our favor." San Vroon said.

IC (Shan and Fonnta, Nar Shaddaa): Syaa shot Djashell a look as the bounty hunter entered the Grey Lady's cockpit and took a seat by the Twi'lek.

"I think there might be some shadows you haven't prodded yet," she smirked.

Djashell folded her arms after strapping herself in, "I'll stop prodding shadows when the shadows stop looking at me funny."

The two paused momentarily as their starship lurched into a take-off, blazing through the slimy atmosphere of Nar Shaddaa. Only when they were in the cold reaches of space beyond the Smuggler's Moon did Syaa reach for the controls to start programming Coruscant in as their destination, "They're not looking at you funny dear, they're shadows."

Djashell prodded at a few instruments in a sullen fashion. "Yes. Shadows that look at me funny."

"One of these days you're actually going to shoot a wall," Syaa sighed, "And then you'll just feel silly."

"I'd rather be silly and alive than sensible or dead."

"So you admit the constant paranoia is not the sensible approach?" Syaa asked, broad grin spreading across her greenish cheeks, the bright glow of hyperspace glittering in her eyes.

Djashell harrumphed and unbuckled her restraints. "...I'm going to have another look in those boxes..."

IC: The Sith Lord known as Gurrox was sitting meditating in his quarters on the Renaissance when the message came summoning him. Sighing and unfurling his crossed legs he stood up and starting slinking down what were, to him, cramped corridors to the training hall where he was needed

IC:

Stalker switched to his Anti-Armor attachment and fired at the droid. Part of its shielding on its legs blew off. "Heal up Commando," he ordered to Werda. "I'll give you cover fire."

He then turned off his cloak and ran up in front of the droid. "Over here!" He then ran off towards the rock next to the droid. In fact it was more of 12 yards in front of the droid. He fired another round at the droid and knocked off another half of the armor.

The droid closed its front legs and readied itself to fire at Stalkers position. It then fired its cannon and hit the rock. The force caused some rock to come off and hit Stalker's armor. His shields were recharging, which is good.

He then took up position and fired another round at it. This time with his cloak on.

IC: San Vroon

The Jedi Knight nodded again, "Yes I am sure your free time is little as it is," he agreed. "I spend most of mine training younglings it helps keep my mind of the atrocities of war." he said with a wave of an orange hand.

"I am headed towards Training Room 5 in the east wing where the older initiates will be demonstrating their skills to the Knights to see if any of us will take one as their Padawan."

"I have been thinking about taking one on myself, hopefully I will see one that catches my eye. Would you like to come with me Alyia?"

IC (RC-8358 "Werda"; Clone Barracks, Coruscant):

"Affirm, don't die on me." Noting the time that the droid fired it's round, he jumped in front of the Bacta Tank, and started the healing process. No more than four seconds after the machine opened it closed, and 58 was combat ready. "My turn." 58 fired another two shots, consecutive, and a grenade.

IC (Jedi Guardian Gabriel Khorne Jedi Temple.):

Something troubled Khorne. He had heard of powerful Sith putting the very essence of their souls into certain places. The technique itself interested him, but he fought the temptation of creating such a, powerful manipulation of the Force. Now, the power to destroy the remains of the Sith lords presented another challenge

'There is always a way. Never give up, lest you give in to the Darkness of your own soul.' The words of his previous Master ran through his mind as the Dark temptations flourished in his mind. In his mind, the pure idea of being in a God-Like state, the pure potential; it was all maddening. 'There is something hidden in that statement.' The voice sounded alien to Khorne's mind. Almost like a tidal wave, Khorne's internal peace was shattered.

'This is the power you hide from yourself, blind puppet. Do not deny it.' Intense images flashed before Khorne. The violence of the galaxy, the pure Chaos that existed, only for a monumentally small amount of Order to stay. 'The Jedi are losing. You know it. Search your feelings.' The voice started getting stronger, and stronger, only to draw actual beads of sweat.

IC:

Stalker fired his last Anti-Armor round. "I'm out." He switched to his Blaster Attachment and fired away at the droid. Its shields were blown away and his weak spot was open. He then motioned with his hand and said, "Eliminate target."

His visor lit the droid up in a red transparent hologram and also showed its vitals. Then out from the canyon walls came five Geonosians and began to converge on the Commandos. All armed with pikes and no elites in sight. For now.

"Get the droid, I'll take care of these bugs." He then charged at the bugs and fired upon them to draw away fire from Werda. He didn't want him to go back and get a bacta fill again. One then lunged at him with his pike and damaged Stalker. He then stabbed the Geonosian and killed it.

"One down, many more to go." He then switched to his Sniper Attachment and fired at one in the head. The bug fell to the ground beheaded.

IC (RC-8358 "Werda"; Clone Barracks, Coruscant):

Werda scoffed.

"What, leave you with all the kills? As if!" His HUD signaled out the Droid, allowing Werda to align his last RPG shot; a shot to the red 'eye' of the Droid.. With a brace, he held his breath, and fired, treating the shot as a sniper shot.

OOC: If a staff member/Flaredrick could decide if I actually hit that, I gotta get going. Next few nights are going to be lacking in most activity, if not all from me (At all, due to having to actually keep moving back and forth moving big, heavy things and EVERYTHING to the new house.), and I don't know when I'm getting Internet at the new place.

OOC: Get a router and a motum and boom. You can get service in your house.

IC:

"Nice shot," Stalker said reading the droids vitals, while sniping another Geonosian from the sky. These bugs are just too easy to kill. He already has taken down those that came in.

He then took out one last Geonosian before saying, " I saved one for you. Have at it." He then took up position where Werda was and knelled. He zoomed in and took aim at its red 'eye' and scanned its vitals.

He then pulled the trigger and reloaded his next clip. The beam hit it in the eye., and now its vitals are low due to that RPG shot that Werda took.

IC: Alyia

"...Perhaps," The Devaronian Jedi replied. Though she had considered getting an apprentice of her own times before, it was only fairly recently that she had been Knighted, and with her duties as a diplomat, Alyia wasn't exactly sure if she would have proper time to devote to a Padawan. Well, it never hurt just to go, even if to just watch. The only time she had ever seen something like this take place was when she herself had been picked as a Padawan, which Alyia remembered as being quite a frightening, and memorable, experience. "Yes... yes I think I will."

OOC: I'm gonna be out for most of the day. Will get some GM posts up when I'm back. :) Expect some developments on the Zann side of things, a little more on the Jedi side of the Casino Robbery, and something for the Sith.

@Lord - If she digs around the surface of the spice, there will be a tracker in the crate. There's a second tracking device at the bottom of the container. To deal with the potential thieves.

IC (Anshar Rune): Anshar blinked in disbelief when Recusatia said his name, and suppressed the smile that threatened to burst from his face. It had been several months since an apprentice had been named for a mission.

Rune stepped forward, and bowed to one knee. "Anshar Rune, at your service." The apprentice bobbed back up to a standing position. "Is it too soon to ask what the mission will be?"

"Excellent," he said. "Don't feel pressured into taking on a Padawan simply because you attend. In any case this will be interesting to watch. Our future could be in the hands of these initiates someday." Vroon said.

"Well then let us be off." he said when she told him she would attend. He began to walk down the hall towards Training Room 5.

IC (Vel, GM IC)

Vel mirrored Rune's actions. This was unexpected, there hadn't been any apprentice-level assignments given out for quite some time.

Darth Recusatia nodded, a pleased look on her face. "Excellent. I'm afraid I can't say anything about your assignment yet.....but, I will say this, do keep your lightsabers handy. You'll need them." She turned to her sole remaining IG-100 bodyguard. "We'll be needing a few others. Do collect them." This group would do quite nicely. It had been far too long since the Jedi had slipped up like this. They would pay dearly for their mistake.

OOC: Any other Sith PC's who want in, have the droid find you.

IC: Jaceren

Not wanting to appear defiant or possessing a lack of respect for the Darth Jaceren knelt as well before getting back to his feet. "I will be ready for whatever task you chose to give me." he said. Jaceren's yellow eyes glanced to the side as he gazed at Anshar and Vel once again. These two Sith apprentices would be his teammates during this mission. He wondered why the three of them had been picked out of hundreds of apprentices. Perhaps there was something that set each of them apart. Perhaps the Dark Side had something planned for them.

IC: Zane (Renaissance)

The silence in the Renaissance's expansive library was disturbed by the occassional turning of a page as Zane stretched in his chair. A few days ago, he had stumbled across some records of a founding member of the Old Sith Empire, one Lord Remulus Dreypa. Further research had revealed that Dreypa had apparantly been able to command the powerful Leviathans, creatures that Zane had read about before and expressed interest in. But the amulet used to control them had been lost upon Dreypa's death and he had found nothing regarding its current whereabouts in the archives. Rubbing his eyes, he held out his hand and reached through the Force, gripping a cup sitting on the desk and drawing it towards him. Taking a sip, he sat back and put his feet up for a moment, absentmindedly nudging at one of the several books that were currently levitating around him. "Dreypa died on the planet Kesh," he mumbled, taking a glance at his notes, "Going from the records, we had a pretty major presence on that planet, but who knows what's happened since then? The last major entry on the place was dated about two thousand years ago."

Exhaling loudly, he guided the books down onto the desk neatly for later reading. "Can't think like this," he muttered, standing up and stretching, "Maybe a walk will do me some good."

IC: Elara (Jedi Temple)

As more Jedi filed into the training room, Elara swept her eyes across the crowd. Although she was not there to look for a potential Padawan, she enjoyed coming down to observe the younglings demonstrate their potential whenever she had a chance. Small moments like these allowed her to catch a glimpse of the future generations and took her mind off of her own worriers, if only for a while. She shifted slightly, adjusting the collapsed shaft of her lightsaber pike on her back. She had seen a few of the younglings looking her way and whispering, perhaps wondering about the exotic weapon that she carried.

IC: San Vroon

After walking silently with Alyia behind him the two Jedi Knights entered the east wing and finally came to Training Room 5. The Kel Dor stepped forward and opened the door before holding it open so that Alyia could pass through. He then stepped into the room glancing around at the figures present in the room. Vroon folded his arms behind his back and waited.

Darth Recusatia looked over the selected Sith and nodded, exactly as the Force had willed. "I suppose there is little harm in detailing the mission now. The Jedi have made a grave mistake, sent some of their Knights and Padawans to the world of Lehon with nary an escort in sight. We shall be....educating them on their error of their ways. This will be a test for you apprentices, to see how you have progressed since you joined our order." She turned her gaze to the Sith Lord. "It will be a test for you as well. You and your fellow lord will be in command of this endeavor."

Captain 'Sarge' was in the simulation center looking at the clones fighting in them. He almost wishes he could go back in one and do a battle. Then again he does train the rookies to do better, and sometimes he has to jump in into one to show them.

Then he saw a clone commando whistling under his helmet, he stepped in from of him and said, "Hold up rookie. Aren't you supposed to be in training in the simulations?" The commando looked at him and said, "I should, but there's nothing to do."

"Yes there is soldier now get in a simulation room and get training. If you're going to join a squad, then train until you're ready."

Then he turned around and saw another Clone commando.

IC (Glittering Sky Casino)
The bartender, a young human, looked like he was seriously reconsidering his current place of employment. Being roughed up by an angry Wookiee had not been in the job description. “Well, they broke in through one of the viewports, used gas grenades to knock most everyone out on that level. Pretty well-organized for a bunch of swoopers, don’t think the fellow in charge of the raid was native to the below. They normally keep to themselves.”
