It's spooky.I am not exactly sure why they made face plates of metal faces, It is a cultural thing mostly used by the Cumans. Some old statues/Tengrist altars also have bearded faces with pointy helmets. However I don't think the Turkic revolutionary Bumin Qaghan (freed the Gokturks from slavery and led them West) wore such a mask so it had to pop up eventually. They are mysterious and look cool, so I find myself fond of them. They also serve as inspiration for my version of the Bone Hunters. But, I think this particular one is from one of the Turkish countries of Anatolia (Asia Minor) (pre-Ottoman Empire or in it's early days) from the writing on the mask and the gold on it, and if correct then that means the writing is most likely some sort of reference to the Quaran. I have no definite idea however.
