IC (Dekuna): Dekuna stood behind Skyra in the alleyway, ready to intervene if he thought things might go wrong for the toa of air.IC (Weta): When fights broke out all across the koro, Weta felt the telltale signs of another toa of magnetism. He wondered if it might be the same one he had seen in Le-wahi, and learned was a murderer. It was. He took off again, still using his mahiki to take the form of an eagle, but he was too far away to intercept the toa before he disappeared. Shortly, Invisible emerged from a trapdoor and announced that once again, Echelon had escaped.

IC: Nichou got to Hafu's hut shortly after Lepridan, and threw his bamboo disk at the knife-wielding matoran, aiming for it's right arm. But the winds had another idea, as the slight breeze veered the disk off course, althought it still had a chance of slicing the matoran's mask if the knife wielding matoran wasnt aware. He then drew his shortsword, and moved to attack.ooc:

OOC: Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant to the other characters IC, to convince them that the corpse that clearly looks like Hafu isn't Hafu. Doesn't really make much of a difference now though.Oh, and I've been caught. :surprised:IC: Ronkshou laughed darkly. "You mean this Matoran?" Ronkshou motioned towards the smoking, partly-on-fire corpse of what looked like Hafu, and the black Ruru that laid beside the body."Whatever Makuta", Snelly responded to Ronkshou's previous jeer. The Toa charged toward Ronkshou, then went onto his knees and slid toward him, swiping with both katanas at Ronkshou's feet horizontally. Ronkshou responded by doing a backflip (but not moving backwards), dodging the swipes. In a fluid motion, Ronkshou extended his right arm an instant before his feet landed in the sand, and prepared to land a solid blow to Snelly's neck.-----------------The alarms were enough to awaken Hewkii from his sleep as well. At first, the athelete thought it was a nightmare of his worst fears. But as he gained awareness, he then realized that this wasn't a dream.His worst fears were for real.He dived out of bed and made a mad dash for his bamboo disk. He mounted it on his back and ran as fast as he could out the door. Despite the fact that Onewa's hut was much closer, Hewkii ran for his friend. He ran through the night, and around the guards rushing everywhere. After a lot of running, Hewkii skid to a halt in front of the partially demolished hut that belonged to Hafu. Not thinking for another moment, Hewkii rushed inside, not caring what he saw.-----------------"Augh!"The traitor was attacked twice by three Matoran enemies, and had barely been able to dodge the flying disk that was heading for his mask. He was now on the ground, and he struggled to his feet. Yegni looked to his right as the undead guard simply slumped over. Whoever possessed it had moved on. Yegni was now very much outnumbered. "It's over. Hafu is already gone," said Yegni, almost sympathetically, "And now he will hold up his end of the bargain""What bargain? And who?!" roared the Ruru-wearing, lead guard. Fire was in his eyes, and two other guards had their disks aimed right for Yegni's neck. "My sister! He was going to take my sister!" pleaded the traitor as the two guards ran up and tackled him. Both the guards took out restraints and bounded his limbs. The lead guard was so angry that he didn't bother acknowledging the traitor's plea. "Who would like the honor of taking this Jaga to Turaga Onewa? The guards are going to stay here and scan the area"Hewkii then rushed inside, disk ready. "What happened?!" shouted Hewkii, looking at the Matoran near a restrained Yegni. It didn't take long to piece things together."Did this guard betray us?" Hewkii asked softly. "He did, sir", said the lead guard, "Would you mind helping them escort this traitor to Onewa?""Gladly," Hewkii said, his eyes narrowing. -----------------"West. To the canyon", Vidar said. "I hope the Makuta has been kind enough to assist us in this trek to the canyon"Then, the heard a rumbling sound in the distance behind them. Vidar instinctively whirled around at the sound."Part of the tunnel collapsed," Vidar said, "I think we're separated from the rest of them, unless more made it here"Meanwhile, the Pakari-wearing Po-Matoran slowly began to stir.

OOC: So where's the giant wolf that Vidar's supposed to kill? IC: Zealokan, PayigesThe Toa of Lightning ran up beside Zealokan and Dekuna. 'Ok, Dekuna, you and me will flank whoever Skyra is fighting from the left and right respectively, and Payiges, you get behind him , then we'll have him surrounded on all four sides.' They got ready for their assault. 'Go!' On his mark, Zealokan ran to the left, along the side of the alleyway, Payiges following him. He jumped up onto the wall, running on it for about 3 metres, until he was parallel with Ronkshou, then he backflipped off, and brought his Reverse Blades down hard towards Ronkshou's head.At the same time, Payiges kept on wallrunning, then she too backflipped off, but into a position behind Ronkshou. She then charged him from the back, and slashed her Shock Scimitars horizontally at the Servant of Makuta's torso.

IC:Nichou walked over to Hafu's hut to reclaim his disk with mixed feelings. he was happy he had helped out, but saddened by hafu's death.what a horrible way to die, he thought, glancing at "hafu's" burnt corpse. "Scum" he muttered under his breath as he saw the traitor being dragged out in chains by hewkii and another guard, although he couldnt recognise his favorite koli player in the soft moonlight. he picked up his disk, then walked over to lepridan and aurax."Are you okay?" he asked aurax.

IC (Weta): When Weta heard the Mystix's request, it confirmed his thoughts that the bat-thing must be insane."If you've been hiding in a cave for centuries, I think it can wait a few more hours" he pointed out. "This is more urgent to me right now, but I won't stop you going on your own".

IC (Merror)Merror doubled back."This tunnel winds," he told Invisible. "It could come up anywhere; there's no way of knowing which way they went."He hauled himself out of the hole. The sounds of fighting were clearly audible."We have to help them," he said, breaking into a run.IC (Echelon)The trapdoor at Vidar's end of the tunnel banged open, and Echelon levitated out. He immediately spotted Vidar, and floated over to him, drifting down until his feet touched the desert sands."I closed off the tunnel," he said. "Ronkshou's still in the Koro. We should make haste before they work out where we are."

IC: SkyraThe blow would have hit Skyra perfectly, but Skyra had mentally prepared himself to use his Hau the instant his opponent made his move. The blow knocked both opponents a few feet back, Skyra braced himself with his right katana by sticking in in the ground behind him, leaving the other katana pointed toward Ronkshou. When his friends came to his aid, he was a bit annoyed honestly. "Guys back off! I've got this!" He said in annoyance.

[The Lorax]

IC (Dekuna): "There is no room for your pride in this, Skyra" Dekuna told him as he stabbed his blade towards Ronkshou. "We do what we have to do, and tonight that means working together".

[Vezok's Friend]

OOC: Darnit, I knew I should have checked back in earlier, but I was working on art all night yesterday. And then all Karzhani's breaking loose here! XDIC:Sisk had been surprised by the sudden confusion when the fight broke out. But witnessing Echelon's power, he knew he stood no chance. Besides, Merror, Weta and the others had driven them off very effectively. The Le-Matoran had made his way to Hafu's hut, staying out of the fight as much as possible. When he reached the building, he saw that it had been badly damaged, with one part of the outside wall collapsed. And he saw Hewkii accompanied by three guards, leaving the scene, dragging along a third, restrained and under arrest apparently. So there was nothing he could help with here, either. Sisk cursed and turned to run back to the sounds of fighting a few blocks further away. He was going to take a shortcut through an alleyway when he noticed a badly injured, but by the looks of it, it was a Matoran...and a black Ruru lying next to him. Thinking the worst, the Le-Matoran rushed forward, skidding to a halt on the sandy floor as he saw the scene in front of him. Several Toa were facing off against what had to be one of the attackers. At least, that's what Sisk deduced from the snippets of conversation he caught from the participants.This was too much for him to get involved in. Besides, what could he, wielding two Bamboo-Batons, actually do? He could make sure Hafu's body wasn't hurt anymore. That, he could do. He rushed forward,. past one of the Toa and scooped up Hafu's Ruru, before reaching under the burnt corpses shoulders with both arms and pulling him away from the fighting Toa.He had to pull him past the Toa standing in front of the alleyway again. "Excuse-please me!" he said, urgently as he bumped into the Toa's knee, pulling the dead Matoran back into the alleyway.OOC: That would be Dekuna, but you don't have to respond to Sisk, it doesn't make much of a difference.-------------When Agni heard the call to defend Hafu, he and Tirokk had already reached the inn again. The Toa knew Hafu's hut was quite a bit away in the Koro and he knew numerous Toa were in the village as well, thanks to reports the Ta-Koro guard kept on those known to them and thanks to the different security forces on the island communicating with each other.He urged Tirokk to follow him and rushed inside the inn. "Mef, Valria!" he called. "We need to get to Onewa's hut, now! Maybe there is something we can do to help!"

Mef looks toward the entrance to see Agni. "Woah, calm down there, Agni, what's going on?" he asks, confused. -Mef Man

[Vezok's Friend]

OOC. Btw, does our little group even know Tamaru is dead since a few days?IC:Agni returned the confused look. "You didn't hear the booming voice?" he asked. "Somebody has attacked Hafu. You know, the mast-carver, did a large number of statues on display here, also a member of the chronicler's company? Tirokk and I just got out of a fight and the guards and other Toa are probably doing something about the attackers already, but maybe there's still something we can help with."

[Mef Man]

OOC: If you're talking and Mef and Valria they don't know. They've been sitting on the couch for the past week. Where are you; The Mask???

"Oh, Karz," Mef curses while standing up. He rests his hand on his sword before looking back to Valria. "You stay here and we'll be back." The Toa of Earth looks back to Agni and adds,"Where are we heading?"-Mef Man

IC (Merror)Merror rounded the corner into the alleyway, just in time to see Sisk pass Dekuna.He slackened off his pace, coming to a stop just in front of the Matoran, as he saw what Sisk was dragging."Oh, Mata Nui," he whispered. It was a dead Matoran, charred beyond recognistion, but in his hand Sisk held a black Ruru. Hafu's Ruru.He gently took the mask from Sisk, and caressed it once, before handing it back to the Le-Matoran."Two," he said, slowly standing up. "Two dead. Too late, again." Fire began to kindle in his eyes, rage, pent-up wrath, and it looked as though he might snarl. Instead he closed his eyes, and after a couple of seconds, he was calm again.He breathed out in a long sigh, and looked at the ground.Then, he suddenly looked up again."Wait," he said. "What happened to Vidar..."He looked over to where Skyra and some others were still facing off against Ronkshou."Why, after Vidar was gone, did Echelon and those two Toa stay behind?" he asked nobody in particular. "They could have escaped at any moment, after Hafu was dead; and yet, they stayed..."He looked back at Sisk."Something about this doesn't add up," he said. "Something doesn't make sense."

IC: WraithWraith spoke from behind Merror, "The better question is, why didn't they kill hafu?"Wraith kept floating toward the dead 'Hafu' until he was floating just above him. "Makuta himself restrained me so I couldn't warn you guys any sooner. But I saw everything, they switched Hafu's mask with this dead guard's."

OOC: Gah, Snelly, way to steal the thunder of my CSI post! XDIC:"Quick-good observation." Sisk agreed. The Le-Matoran held up Hafu's Ruru. "Not a single-spot bad-burn...the body however..." he mentioned to the corpse, left with its limbs at odd angles from the burning. "He's through-burned. Why leave-take the mask off?"He bent back over the dead Matoran. Sisk got an idea and carefully turned the Matoran's head to face upwards. The feeling he got when his hands made contact was somewhere between fear and disgust. But he gritted his teeth and held his breath, as he placed the Ruru on the corpses face. While masks were interchangeable for Toa, the Matoran usually did not do so, unless they own mask was destroyed or they wanted to change it for cosmetic reasons. Wearing the same mask every day caused the metal to adapt to the wearers face. And this mask had not done that.Sisk looked up suddenly, hearing another person speak from above him. Wraith was floating there. The Le-Matoran looked at Merror after hearing Wraith out. "He's much-right. The mask is bad-fit. It's not Hafu."-----------------------------Agni pointed in the direction of Onewa's hut. "The Turaga." he looked at Valria sympathetically. "I know Mef would like you to stay, but I know you need to talk to Onewa and we have been waiting to do so for a few days now. You can come with us if you want to."The Toa of fire turned around and began walking quickly.OOC: Don't want to sideline Valria. This way, the Mask can just catch up quickly.

IC (Merror)Hope began to kindle in Merror's eyes."That would explain why the others stayed behind - so that Vidar could get away with Hafu - and there's no way anyone could recognise that corpse. But why would they want Hafu alive - to question him?"Merror got back to his feet, Calix active."There's a chance Hafu's still alive - and if he is, we have to rescue him!"

IC (Weta): Weta wheeled around as the ghost spoke to them out of nowhere, but the shock was nothing compared to the revelation that Hafu was not dead."So that isn't Hafu?" he asked, gesturing to the corpse in Sisk's arms. "It's someone else? That explains why Echelon didn't escape shraight away; it was to give Vidar time to escape with the real Hafu."OOC: Doubly ninja'd. It makes Weta look a bit thick, now.

IC:"I quick-know a way!" Sisk said, tapping Merror on the elbow. The Le-Matoran produced a wooden whistle from his backpack in a quick movement, holding it up like it was something special. Which it was. The Gukko of the force were trained to react to certain calls, some uttered in voice, others by instruments. The whistle was a long-distance call. As Sisk blew it, the tone was picked up by its intended target.It took maybe a minute or two, before the flapping of large wings could be heard in the Po-Koro night. Skyscratcher, the Gukko-bird Sisk was tasked to take care of and who accompanied him if he was out of Le-Koro, was circling overhead, coming down to land. "Slow-fast compared to Kakama. Much-fast compared to Calix." the tamer said, a satisfied look on his face. Finally he could put his talents to use.-----------------Agni turned back to look at Mef. Looking the Toa of earth in the eyes he placed a closed across his chest, over his heartlight. "I can not promise that we will not run into more trouble, now or when we set out for Ga-Koro, but I promise to not let anything harm her or any of as long as we travel together."

Mef looks back to Valria then to Agni before saying,"Okay. Let's go."So many thoughts were rushing through his head. Who had this "booming voice?" Why were they about to head to Ga-Wahi? And who was killed? He reluctantly drew his crossbow and held it in his arms, getting frightened glances from passing by Matoran.-Mef Man

IC (Weta): "Where will we go?" asked Weta. He had no idea which direction the kidnappers had taken, but if someone lese did, he would happily follow them. He didn't need a gukko to fly, however. While Sisk was getting onto his gukko, Weta reactivated his mahiki and shapeshifted into a bird.

[Vezok's Friend]

IC:"If Ghost-guy much-knows about this trouble-situation we sky-fly where he points us." Sisk suggested, looking at Merror. He honestly didn't know where the attackers might have gone. But Wraith seemed to know quite a bit and with his help they would maybe be able to at least determine the right direction. Then, Sisk would have Skyscratcher carry them that way. The bird landed with a soft thud, poking the Le-Matoran in the back. He patted the Gukkos beak and, putting Hafu's Ruru into his backpack, climbed into the pilots saddle.OOC: Last post for the night. If you guys get moving, just have Sisk do the flying, but if you land, please don't forget he's coming along. Thanks!

IC: Wraith"I did see the general direction they were heading. I'll go ahead through the tunnel, see if they left tracks, and then find you in the sky." Ghosts didn't have trouble going through collapsed tunnels, so Wraith could easily find Vidar and then report back to them.

IC (Weta): "Good plan" Weta said, but before he took to the skies, he spoke to Invisible "Do you think you could do what that other Toa of Sonics did? That really loud voice? Everybody should know that Hafu is still alive, even if this poor Matoran isn't. It might give them some hope, and let them know what is going on."Without further hesitation, he climbed into the sky.

[Oblitus]

IC: Ysimar:Ysimar sent a gust of air at Havon and dived down at Miha, swords at a piercing motion. If he didn't get her, the undead would.

[Onaku]

IC: Tirokk"I'll help what I can." Tirokk easily kept up with the two others using his Kakama. "Now, where excactly are we going?"-----------------------------IC: ArdokuToa Ardoku was confused, so he asked around for answers. "Excuse me, could you please tell me what's going on?" He said to Agni. OOC: Please tell me what's going on, Ardoku isn't the only one confused...

OOC: How did you get out of my inferno? :confused:IC: Havon, MimiraMimira stepped in front of Miha and held her dagger, shaking as she did so. "Stay back!!!" She yelled, voice trembling."Mimira! Miha!" Somehow Ysimar had avoided his inferno. The gust of wind knocked Havon back a bit, Havon raced toward Ysimar, ready to collide into him.

IC: VirtheeHe just stood by, watching the fight rather helplessly. He couldn't fight, he was a viability when it came to Violence.

Mef shrugged his shoulders at the being's question. He had no idea either, so he too waited for Agni's response."Yes, where is it we're going?"-Mef Man

OOC: What I meant was the wind repelled the fire temporarily. Oh, and Mimira is next to the two undead Matoran.IC: Ysimar:Ysimar looked behind him to see Havon coming in from behind. He blasted him with wind, then focused back on Miha.

IC: Ronkshou was sent flying backwards by the abrupt use of the Hau. This threw off the plans of Dekuna and Zealokan, who were on each side of Ronkshou. They both missed their attacks as Ronkshou flew. Using his momentum and curling up a bit, he tried his best to control how he moved through the air. Fortunately, Ronkshou was able to land on his feet, but his ears picked up something brushing behind him. The infected Toa did not even bother to think about it, and he whirled around to punch whoever was behind him with much of his force. ------------------Onewa's door was already open when he saw the group carrying Yegni towards him. A messenger had given the weary and coughing Turaga the news already. When he saw Hewkii arrive, carrying a defeated Yegni, there was nothing short of pure hatred in his eyes. Onewa was already saddened by what had happened, and this had saddened him even more."I... trusted you", said the Turaga, so softly and ragged that it almost sounded like a croak. "Why did you do this?""I didn't have a choice, they were going to kill my sister if I didn't comply!" said Yegni, his voice shaking. "Who is 'they'?" demanded Hewkii, "Hafu had better not be dead!"Hewkii threw Yegni to the ground hard, and Onewa was taken aback by the abrasiveness of Hewkii. Onewa understood Hewkii's frustration. There was no doubt that Hewkii had read the most recent issue of the Mata Nui Daily, where he learned that Macku had been hidden after almost being killed. Even though they had not been together since shortly after Macku returned from the Kini Nui, the recent set of news had troubled the 'other Kolhii star' greatly. Hewkii was now reaching his breaking point. Onewa walked over and placed a hand on Hewkii's shoulder."He's not worth it, Hewkii," said Onewa, "While it doesn't seem clear to you, Yegni is a victim... if he's telling the truth"Meanwhile, Yegni and managed to rise to his knees, he mask slightly cracked, and blood seeping down his face. Two guards grabbed Yegni by the arm and sat him in a nearby chair. Onewa walked over to the traitor, after coughing under his arm a couple more times."Yegni. If your loved ones were in danger, you could have... should have went to the Defense Force captains," said Onewa, "Do you not trust them?""I couldn't risk it," replied Yegni, "They said that they have eyes everywhere"Again, the word "they" was used. Onewa stiffened up, and his eyes narrowed, "Including yours. Now tell me, who are these people you keep referring to? Who has your sister?""..."Onewa, being as old as he was, wasn't about to waste time for this interrogation session. He activated his Komau, and the mask began to glow. Yegni foolishly kept his eyes on the ground, apparently not realizing that the Komau did not need eye contact in order to work. Yegni's mind was already weakened from the stress that he has gone through. As such, it did not take too much trouble for Onewa to have Yegni raise his head and speak again."Who took your sister?" Onewa asked again. Hewkii and the guards simply stood back, eyes glaring at the burnt-orange, Miru-wearing Po-Matoran."... the Cultured Gentry" said Yegni in monotone. At first, the response of the Matoran in the room was one of bewilderment. None of them had heard of this group. Onewa, however, remained stoic as the glow faded from his mask. He then turned around to face Hewkii and the guards, but he focused his attention on the guards. "Take him to your holding cells," said Onewa. He stepped aside and let the two guards remove the restraints that held Yegni to the chair and take him outside. Soon, just Hewkii and a weary Onewa stood in the dark room."Wise one, have you heard of this organization?" asked Hewkii, walking towards Onewa, who looked like he needed support. "I have," Onewa replied, "They are a small group. One of its members mine precious stone, and several of his employees designed the Comet ball. They are the wealthiest individuals on Mata Nui, refusing to work, and thus forming their own hidden society"Onewa then coughed again, and Hewkii rushed to his aide."Wise one, are you alright?" asked Hewkii. For a moment the Turaga remained silence, until he said a phrase so softly that Hewkii almost didn't catch it."Such... a disappointment," croaked the Turaga. Hewkii then supported him as he collapsed into his arms. Thinking quickly, Hewkii carried the barely-conscious Onewa to his bed, and rushed outside. "Someone call a medic!" shouted Hewkii among running guardsmen and soldiers, "The Turaga has fallen ill!" Then, one of the guards stopped in front of Hewkii, a look of disappointment and fear on his face. "By the Spirit, him too?"------------------"Have a nice nap?" was all Vidar said before creating another soft vacuum around Hafu's head. The maneuver had once again, rendered the carver unconscious. The three moved forward, until Vidar's eyes lit up at a familar sight.Nearby, a particularly large Kane-Ra raced across the sand, following the guidance of its Master. When the best stopped, it found itself in front of three Toa and an unconscious Po-Matoran."Now we head west to the canyon," Vidar said. This Kane-Ra was quite large - big enough for both Echelon and Aurum to fit as well. They all climbed on and held on tight, and the Kane-Ra ran off. Vidar sat at the back, facing the opposite direction of where they were going. He sent blasts and swirls of air to cover their tracks in the sand.

[Snelly]

IC: WraithWraith had rushed through the tunnels quickly. When he got to the surface again the tracks were already disappearing due to strong winds, there was no time to tell the others, he raced toward the fading tracks, following them into canyon. Wraith heard the sound of a Kane-Ra bellowing in the canyon, he stopped, unsure what to do. he decided that he'd break off his pursuit, sure, he could catch up to them, but then what? He wouldn't be able to do anything. He might even get captured by Makuta again. Wraith decided to fly up and look for Merror and the others, at least they had some place to start looking.

OOC: Okay, that makes sense, but Mimira is next to Miha, she tackled Miha to save her from the vacuum remember? And now she is trying to protect her, not that it will do her any good.IC: Havon, MimiraThe wind slowed Havon down, but he kept going, Havon set himself on fire to speed himself up slightly. He then launched a large fireball at Ysimar, hoping to scorch his back, or at least slow him down enough so that Mimira and Miha could escape. "YOU TWO! RUN! Activating the Mask, she span dodge the punch, then pirouetted in such a way that her Scimitars were at Ronkshou's head level.
