  2. Visited the flea market on Sunday, managed to find a couple cool little retired pieces, including a couple Star Wars polys I needed for my collection! Overall, spend $65 Canadian; I think I did pretty well!

Well, I haven't been on this website in almost a year, and I haven't been on this blog in almost two years. All of the people I know from this place are probably gone.

    :(

    Well, LOL I guess?

After much thinking, I feel this should be known. For the last month, I've been in a romantic relationship with former bloggie Kohaku. We've known each other for ten years and it's been a heck of a time. Why it took me so long to realize this, despite all I have done for him, isn't important.

What -is- important, is that, like I have for so long, love him very much and I hope and know this will lead to great things going on!

  6. This is what I've written as part of a paper (essay format, supposedly) that I'm turning in tomorrow. Honest to goodness, word for word.

Consider the effectiveness of the movie in communicating its message. As a tool of communication, what are its strengths and weaknesses?

The film is quite effective in communicating its message. It scares people into germophobia and educates them on the worst-case scenario. Its strengths include fake blood, crying children, scared families, desperation, death (all of which are very good for getting people to relate to the film on an emotional level for more effective inundation), an old friend who is haunted by past wrongs, a helicopter chase, and explosions. Its weaknesses include not enough footage of gory disease, making the gullible audience think that an antivirus can be isolated, created, and distributed to an entire town in less than a day, and not enough explosions.

  7. My unexplained absence may have caused one to think that I no longer even cared about my blog. Well one would be wrong.

May I just say, thank you to the BZP admins for giving this feature to everyone, because I like it. A lot. XD

    ....

Man I wish I could reset my rating. :P Some people just like to hate.

Well anyway, as this is my first blog entry in a number of unaccounted months, I would like the shout out about the most exciting non-political-related happening since my last entry:

    HAIRSPRAY!!!!!!!

    hairspray-poster-750.jpg

Oh my gosh, this is DEFINITELY the best movie ever. If you haven't seen it already, go see it now, it owns beyond belief.

    Moving on to other stuff:

I don't know if any of you guys watch the Daily Show. It's a political show on Comedy Central-- thus, we should not really be discussing it here. However, I must say that I was watching it one day and something caught my eye: Barack Obama ringtones!!!!!!!!

This is perhaps the strangest political campaign I have heard about in my life. If you go to BarackObama.com, you can download 7 ringtones and 4 wallpapers for your mobile phone. I'll go low enough to admit that I did, indeed, download all 7 of the ringtones, and that I am currently using one of the ringtones and one of the wallpapers. Most of the ringtones are just fragments of his more well-known speeches, but the first one is what I like the best. It can be simply described just by giving the lyrics:

"Go, Go, Go, Obama, Obama - OHHHH!!!! Go, Go, Go, Obama, Obama"

And you thought you'd seen weird.

Well, that's about all I have to say for today. Remember when discussing the last item of interest to keep it down to a dull roar, not actually turning this this topic into a political discussion, because I can be sure that a Moderator will be here to close the topic promptly if you choose not to abide by BZP rules.

    ThanK - yA.

  8. It's funny how three years ago, hardly anyone knew about the Guardians of the Galaxy and nobody expected it to be a hit. And now I just saw Geico, Hanes, and Ford all run commercials about them. Groot was hanging out with the Gecko and underwear will help you save the universe.

    Hollywood is weird.

  9. Wow. Just wow.

That movie is amazing. Go see it now. It was better than the first.

I'm still getting over it; it was incredible.

    Like, seriously... amazing.

    10/10...

BZP is seriously how boring as a site can be.

Especially because no one cares about the stuff you make.

I even bet this rant won't get any comments. :annoyed2:

I've got a bit of a procrastination problem. For example, I have a series of exams starting tomorrow, important exams, and yet, here I am.

I can't shake it. I was determined this morning to write some essays and prepare for the English exam, but here we are at 6:30 PM and I've only done a bit of coding all day. I've managed to procrastinate despite very slow internet and stopping myself going on the more time-sinking websites. It's quite an achievement really.

I suppose I could possibly get something done in the hours before I go to bed (early, because I want a good night's sleep beforehand). But then, I don't want to.

Why can't I just go to university now and write apps while learning things I want to and doing work I enjoy? I'm definitely clever enough to go, I've done a uni course before and passed with minimal effort.

That's definitely a first world problem, though. I'm not enjoying my free, high-quality education. I want to spend my time telling advanced miniature computers what to do instead.

I used to love school, then they made my worst and least-favourite subject the most important and only compulsory one. I, and probably the entire country at this point, need to know how to use computers far more than I need to know how to identify themes and techniques. That's a whole other blog post, though.

A simple 1 year course in welding covering the most used process and a couple other subjects and I'm done, now to work on a resume and get my foot in the door.

Planning to start small and build up my skillset and then move on up to better positions/jobs, a far off goal could be pipeline work with my own small side shop doing request work for repairs or art people would want.

Dunno where this field will take me but I'll make sure to try to enjoy it and learn more things along the way.

More ideas down the line but gotta buy my own Tig machine first.

  14. This new building contest, (Battle for the Gold Mask) is one of the only Building contests in a long time that I've really gotten excited over. It definitely looks like I'll have to take out my technic pieces and build some sort of creation for this one! Although the chances of winning are small, I'm still very excited to see all the entries for this contest!

  15. Let's get some content in here and see whether everything on the new forums behaves as it should. Sounds like a plan!

Let me see what sort of art I have made in the past few months... I will start with this picture of Eridan I drew a while ago. Might I mention that I also finally cosplayed Eridan at NYCC, making use of the Ahab's Crosshairs I made all that time ago? I need to find pictures of that, so in the meantime, have this image:

  16. Oh.

    A blog.

    K.

    So.

I think Messi will win the Tour.

  17. Seems I've woken up too early.

Summary: Those very few of you who I've privately told of things (in-depth) going on in this world and where I fit into it?

    True.

    Things are happening soon.

Actually, they're happening right now already.

My head explodes with things I'm thankful to know yet stabbed with not being able to discuss, be it about me or the darker things going on elsewhere.

The world's getting ready to change again, brace for impact lol.

Anyway, I probably won't be the same person (or have the same name in real life) when I get online again for good, so here's a pretty much finished (piloted!) moc I (apparently?) never had the opportunity to post.

    Schattengeist and Jinzo:

    schattengeist_and_jinzo_prototype.jpg

(chest even unlocks to let head swing back to accommodate me)

Don't fret the stuff I said. The reasons are good... mostly. :)

    Take care, kids.

    Hoo boy.

    :) :( :o

Can we just appreciate how GLORIOUS the Digital Trip "Spider Tank" is for allowing players to rampage through Chicago with this truly amazing vehicle?

  19. First things first: TNI has a new chapter, so go check that out. Ask Matau! to follow soon (assuming enough questions roll in), and come Halloween, the Holiday Series will be starting back up! Already got a few nice ideas in mind.

As for my personal life and busy-ness, I'm still quite busy with graduate school but try to find time to write here and there. Hopefully things stabilize soon, but you never know. Adulting is hard!

On my other BIONICLE projects, Sad Sad Lewa is still waiting for more players but I haven't forgotten it completely. Only two people have responded to my big comedy project announcement, but if I get more (especially animators/artists, we're really short on those) we'll be able to decide on a theme and get moving. I personally like the idea of an animated/voice-acted version of Ask Matau! right now (as it would be much easier to translate into video than TNI) but we'll see. Might also make it completely brand-new. Who knows?

Still trying to re-format the QFTCJP cache I found online, but it's slow going. Looks like it includes most of the 2001 saga (about 15 chapters) but nothing past that. I'll definitely be posting something when that gets finished! I may be on less frequently than before, but I'm not gone completely. BZP will always be important!
