  1. Makuta's power (and Karzanhi's) both appear to be mental. I don't think they're the same as the Mahiki's power. I doubt that the Noble Mahiki can do more than the Great Mahiki. As far as we know, it does not allow you to create illusions of other objects.
  2. I strongly disagree. The movies (at least the first three) are far less lighthearted than just about any LEGO theme. I've watched Hero Factory and Ninjago. Ninjago is very lighthearted, and Hero Factory is pretty tame. BIONICLE may not be an ultra-dark theme, but it has the least lighthearted themes of any theme, I think. The complexity of BIONICLE...perhaps. The themes which can accurately be compared to BIONICLE are about as complex as BIONICLE was in its early years. It got a lot more complex than other themes later on. Also, if MNOG and MNOG II were canon, it would definitely have been more complex. Edit: Saved too early.
  3. Nice questions. I'm no expert, but I hope this helps: The mask can imitate voices, but I don't think it can create voices from illusions you create. The voice imitation appears to be part of the shapeshifting powers, not the duplication powers. This would mean that you could create the illusion of Toa around you but they might not say anything...which could be just as disconcerting as them all yelling. However...I think that the illusion is probably just one of duplication, considering what little we know of said ability - Kopaka created two duplicates, but they did the same thing as Kopaka and looked the same as him. A knowledgeable enemy probably wouldn't be worried by such a display as they would know about the Mahiki's powers, but a Rahi or unintelligent character like Krekka might be.From what we know, it can shapeshift into forms of similar mass (although Krekka seems like he'd be a lot more massive than Matau, so there appears to be a fairly large limit on what it can do, at least in Great form). Vahki are not alive - they are machines, and we've seen Matau imitate them, so I suspect that he could imitate something non-mechanical, for what good it would do him. A house would probably be out of the question, but I could see him being able to imitate a small statue. It seems like the Mask of Illusion would be able to match a camouflaged form, but from what we know they can only imitate other forms, not freely transform. I can see no reason why Toa Matau wouldn't be able to transform into Matau Hordika - however, I'm not sure he'd be able to create clothing for himself while transforming. When we watched the fight, it was from Takua's perspective. There was no reason for Kopaka to put an illusion of himself into Matoro's head, so it's highly likely that the illusions are "real" and not mental. The degree to which Takanuva uses his light powers would depend on his mastery over them. I suspect that an inexperienced Toa of Light would be unable to create realistic illusions, but with practice he could learn to do it quite well.
  4. Your wish is granted and you are bored. Oh, and you have an infinite number of wishes, all of which backfire. I wish for the mask of time.
  5. Granted. You are instead murdered gracefully and in a beautiful manner by a professional assassin contortionist. I wish to end this madness...
  6. I've actually missed quite a few. I'm missing a few Ignition issues as well even though I have the ones immediately before and after. It doesn't make sense.
  7. I got mine from Club Magazine. For some reason I didn't get issues 1 and 5.
  8. A bit of an aside/value statement: I think that the Takutanuva revival was clearly a one-time thing as he was essentially the ultimate being, a fusion of light and shadow, and his revival didn't detract much from the significance of his act, in my eyes. Jaller was clearly doing something truly brave. Personally, I think that the Red Star revival thing was a bad idea - I loved the star as a star, and I can understand it as a propulsion system (even if it doesn't make sense), but as a revival? Yes, in the grand context of things, it does make some sense; however, it just isn't interesting (to me). I love the idea of it being inhabited, but...eh. I don't like it. Simple as that.
  9. It is. We haven't gotten many games nearly as complicated in years.
  10. Wait, when does Midak get healed? I always get stuck with him in Kapura's hut and just lying there. He doesn't. I was referring the Kapura bringing him to his hut. My bad. You're supposed to talk to him there, and he tells you his story. (You need to click on the stones in the map thing in the middle of it.) Then you need to go talk to Whenua. (It's confusing, took me a while to figure this out too, so no worries.) I had a little trouble with the gear parts myself. It was clear that there wasn't enough, but I kept trying (even though I noticed the broken gear). It wasn't until I realized that I should talk to the guy that I realized I needed a new gear. I also had some trouble with the Kapura part - it wasn't clear that I should talk to Midak. That said, I think not telling people what to do works pretty well, especially if you like talking to Matoran. In Le-Koro, the hut with the two rooms feels a little confining - if you could create a roof and up/down scrolling for those, it would feel more airy and free.
  11. It was in 2001. I was enthralled by BIONICLE. I think I was lucky enough to get the Tarakava for a first set (although it may have been Kopaka Mata - he was my favorite). Either way, I played with it a lot. Soon I had some Tohunga (from McDonald's) and every Toa, as well as Muaka and Kane-Ra. It was not, however, my first TECHNIC set - I had received a Red Formula One set the year before, as I was always something of a TECHNIC kid.
  12. The Dark Knight, for the first time. Now I have to see them all.
  13. Dazed and Confused, live 1969 Denmark Radio - Led Zeppelin
  14. Do you mean it never revived anyone? Or it never sent anyone back at all? (I'm assuming you mean the latter... just checking before I respond to it. ) The latter.
  15. We know that the Glatorian in the robot are not revived - I assume that the reason is the same as for Tren Krom. Also, do we know what Velika's plans are anyway? Is he confirmed to be the killer person? Likewise, the fact that Likhan's team and the other earlier Toa teams were never seen again indicates that the Red Star may NEVER have functioned.
  16. I really don't have a clue how much they're worth. They seem fairly cheap on Bricklink, except for the copper ones, whose value I am unaware of, and the chrome Hau, which looks like it's around 4 dollars, I think. I'm just looking at the Bohrok and Bohrok-Va Krana for now. I think they're around 30 cents each, which would be $28.80 (.3x8x12), I think. I guess 4 dollars for the pearl gold and silver masks (I want 9). Tell me if those sound right. The other stuff is fine, although there's some parts that I'm looking for (because I have various sets that are only mostly complete) and if you have them that would really help me. Make a list of your spare parts you want and I'll see what I can do. Also, do you mean $4 for each gold and silver mask? And as for the krana collection, is want at least $120 for all of them. Its pretty difficult to obtain all of them together. So for now just give me a compete list of what you want including the parts, and we can go from there. Mc The pearl gold and silver masks are less than a dollar each on Bricklink, so 4 or 5 total for the ones I want was what I was saying. I'll have to pass on the Krana then. I'll just collect them individually. I'll get back to you on the list once I finish it.
  17. I've very excited for the movie. I still enjoy the Traveler's tales games, and the one accompanying the movie looks promising. I'm not excited about the sets - other than the Bad Cop Chase, they all look pretty bad to me. I am annoyed that licensed characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are showing up. I don't feel like it will add anything good to the movie.

  19. I don't think that's why the Tryna was created - it doesn't revive thinking beings, it just reanimates the corpse.
  20. Definitely. The person below me has five cats.
