  1. The storyline. Especially the comics. I preferred the old more rugged style (they changed from things being rugged to being much more shiny once the Toa became Toa Nuva).
  2. On the shelves in my LEGO room I have about 30% of my BIONICLE sets build and on display. The rest are SYSTEM MOCs.
  3. They lack epic storylines. The only theme with an epic storyline is BIONICLE, although LU could have gotten there. Most other storylines are incredibly limited.Friends breaks these.
  4. They appreciate it because they have seen how I use it to tell stories and that I don't build like a child.
  5. The game was fantastically made. It was one of their only two fighting RPGs (the other should be obvious). The lack of player interaction was a bit of a disappointment, as having the ability to meet with other players (maximum of 6, of course) would have been cool. Of course, the game would be drastically different if that were the case. I found the game to be quite enjoyable and will replay it at some point in the future. It was made by Ankama Studios, who made Dofus, which remains one of my favorite MMOs.As said above, the game really can't be compared to MNOGs I and II. The games are all significantly different. VNOG is best for those who enjoy fighting RPGs and grinding.Vezon is quite easy to defeat. Just pick up two Launchers (the powerful versions) and shoot him then run away. He won't ever reach you. I assume that works for most characters although I haven't played recently. For Zaktan, if you can beat Vezon, you can beat Zaktan. He's ridiculously underpowered, especially since you have the Mask of Life. He should be at least twice as powerful if not more.
  6. I was young, so I assume I just liked it then.Nowadays, I love it for the nostalgia it brings (the times were not simpler or happier, but I was). I enjoy it for being a well made game, love being able to explore Mata Nui and love the connection to the past of BIONICLE that it is.
  7. The books are still interesting reads even when you're older but they're not written for adults. It's unfortunate because they could be fantastic if they were.
  8. For the most part it seems contradictory. As for guardians for the Mask of Life, that's important because non-sapient creatures can find it and be affected by it.
  9. I would have gotten rid of the Stars. They didn't belong in the storyline - it was just a way to tie them in to boost sales.I would not have ended it if possible, and instead had people writing expanded universe (like with Star Wars). If an ending were necessary, I would have liked all loose ends to be tied up (the stories on BIONICLEstory.com haven't been updated for a year or so) and I think it would be far more heroic were the Toa Nuva to give their lives to revive Bara Magna (eg, to truly reunite the planets) with the words: "Our greatest heroes, but their legacy lives on and the legend continues. - Takanuva" where Takanuva finishes the story (truly fulfilling his role as chronicler). That way, the Toa Mata would have been the greatest heroes in BIONICLE, a satisfying end (in contrast to them taking secondary roles) to the saga. In addition to that, killing the main characters in a heroic way makes it feel much more like an ending.
  10. The new hands are definitely cool, but the unrealistic old hands have a classic feel. I don't like how they aren't fully compatible.
  11. About 6 feet.
  12. I would like a new storyline independent of the old one (although a meeting with the old one via BIONICLEstory.com would be cool. The main problem with a new storyline is that, in my opinion, Mata Nui was pretty much perfect and they would be hard pressed to match it. I would love a continuation of all the threads that were left off.Alternatively, sets from previous storylines could be created and released as some sort of special edition thing.
  13. They carry memories (not literally). I keep all of them in bags in case I ever want them. I also keep my Boxes.
  14. It's cool, but I prefer Brickset for listing. From there, I have 138 Unique sets, at least 40 duplicates (although I suspect more), and many spare parts from my friend's collection.
  15. If you don't count the box villains, then I'd say the Piraka.Counting box villains:Makuta Teridax as he is the Palpatine of BIONICLE. He is the single most important character in the storyline (more so than the Toa Mata). After him are the Rahi and Bahrag.
  16. Every single BIONICLE character provided they're affordable. Of course, that wouldn't ever happen. My favorites (very hard to choose) would be:Tamaru and any Tohunga that you can't build with existing pieces due to lack of colors. Includes Teridax. All VNOG creaturesWhite/Gold Teridax
  17. I love the Hau as it is one of the symbols of BIONICLE. It represents everything within the universe. I'm also a big fan of Brutaka's mask among others.
  18. The joints from 2008 as well as the joints on my Stronius.I used to chew on parts, so I have some damaged ones from that. I can't remember which was easier to break.Onua's claws seem to break more easily becasue they are thinner.
  19. I assume I became interested in BIONICLE when I received the sets. From the website I played two of my favorite games, MNOGs one and two. The comics definitely kept me enthralled, as did the games. Eventually, as I matured, I think I became more and more interested in the storyline although I still very much enjoyed the sets. Now I enjoy the storyline more than anything.
  20. The last one I bought was a Vezon and Kardas (10204) for 9 dollars from a kid on Craigslist. Turns out that it's worth a ton on Bricklink. Now I am extremely happy (as I possess essentially two copies of it).The last one I bought in a store was a Star, probably the Skrall. Unfortunately, I never got Tahu, the Green guy, or Rakshi.
  21. The first I remember receiving was a TECHNIC set from 1998 but that definitely wasn't the first I got (and I think I got it in 2000). I remember getting the Republic Gunship and a Paradisa set in 2001 pretty vividly.
  22. I just flipped through the posts. First and foremost is BIONICLE. I am of the opinion that HERO Factory is far inferior (similar to City > Jack Stone in that Jack Stone is totally oversimplified).Anyway, other than that...I would have loved more Adventurers. However, I am more than satisfied with Pharaoh's Quest which was quite fantastic. I would like some Jungle Adventurers or Arctic explorers.Alpha Team was quite cool and unfortunately I missed Agents. I think Agents was a very good theme in terms of the sets, which were well designed in the new style (whereas 2004 Alpha Team was still quite juniorized and could have been improved).Rock Raiders was interesting as well. Power Miners was pretty decent but I did not like the colors as much.I think that the main themes that people tend to miss are those that are from their childhood (I used to really miss Galidor).
  23. I prefer printing. The stickers, especially the new ones tend to fall off more. Why the newer ones are less adhesive? I have no idea. Stickers also stand out whereas printing does not.
