Not all species or characters wear kanohi. I've imagines a metallic Protodermic 'skin' wich 'protodermicises' when a mask is put on (the sparky thing in the first 2 films) and brings the eyes and mouth forward while pulling the sides of the mask back. As well as adding 'lips'. In the films unworn masks are more flat and riddled with holes (including the mouth) which are inexplicable under coverered by metal or flesh when worn. But that's just my 2cents.

From what I can tell from the preliminary screenplay greg posted here a wile ago: 2010... Northern bara magna and the valley of the maze (which moves and has several diverse and hazardous environments contained within. Element lords following our heroes through the maze still fighting each other. Maze is solved and then collapses (freeing everyone) while our heroes are blasted off to Bota Magna in a strange craft when the fake volcano erupts. New sets for Mata nui, Ackar and Kiina, thanks to a skrall outpost. Battera, a skrall spy who befriends Mata nui, a new jungle, iron and ice glatorian, (later two are con artists). No mention of Gresh so he probably turned back when Berix was injured so no set form for hin of the Elords. 2011... Bota Magna with bio dinos and plant people. New sets for our big three heroes, again. End of Glatorian series After that, who knows? Terry still around? Planet fixed yet? Would have to wrap up this story first before moving to a new world or time jumping. Skip the boring politics or go on hiatus until they have something more exiting to tell. What would be nice is if we got some more isolated stories from that massive gap between the core war and 04. But all good things must come to an end, or an 'extended hiatus' as I like to think of it and 2011 would have been far preferable not because it's an extra year but for the same reason 03, 05, 08 would have worked. It could be that fused discs use an alpha-numerical code, like what was molded onto the inside of the original kanohi. 4-CR for example. Mult-metru discs could have completely different flight Patterns too. A Ta/Ko disc could tern intangible to avoid obstacles?

They didn't get any chance to. Dume declared them impostors, blamed them for Lhikan's disappearance (which Vakama denied), then ordered their arrest, after which the Vahki attacked which left half of them imprisoned and the other on the run. At what point could they have told the whole Morbuzakh story to anyone?I was more confused by the toa's reaction to Dume not accepting the disks. 'what a waste'? They Saved The City, sorta... In the context of the film alone this made sense but Greg could at least have cleared it up in the book.

I don't think you going to get a better answer than that anytime soon. On the LMB Greg said he considered the story essentially frozen there, for the time being anyway.And since he docent tend to plan any story details ahead of time...

How do the Suva work? Is there a hidden mechanism or is it all protopower. In which case how did the turaga make the mata nui Suva. Where did the Nobel kanohi go? How is the toa linked to their Suva? My main question is does the Toa (or Turaga) in question need to have a kanohi to trade for another on their Suva? In tale of the toa (which according to BS01 is the cannon telling of this event) the toa summoned each of their great kanohi in turn, without replacement, to trade for a golden kanohi.In dark destiny however, when the Toa Nuva's kanohi were stolen they were unable to summon replacements.The walls of karda nui are known to block Suva transmissions. But mata Nui's outer hull apparently did not. Gali was able to summon her Akaku to look into the red star before levying for karda nui. Anyone got any idea how then?
