  1. Oh, wow! Great to see you're still at it... can't wait to see where Vultraz will end up next!
  2. Considering that the whole set sells for $125-$150 and that this is the only exclusive piece for this set, I don't think it's that bad of a price (not that I would buy it though). I actually bought a toa mata nui without his weapons for around $50 a few months ago and paid another $15 to buy his other parts. From where? eBay? (the Toa Mata Nui).
  3. Been surprised by all of the durability comments about pieces I've seen lately. Maybe it's my general lack of sets from 08-10 (are those the weak ones?), but I've never outright broken a piece. No, CCBS is not magically superior in durability compared to Bionicle. It's just that people who didn't take good care of their Bionicle sets ended up being surprised that they broke. Granted, the lime-green limb piece failure was something else altogether. Wow, I wish I had your absolutely perfect manner of taking care of sets. Shut your mouth about things you don't know a thing about. I cared for my parts. As soon as I had my FIRST part break, I took care to remove and attach parts with great care. Only attaching directly, removing directly, not too quick, not too slow. Guess what, genius? They STILL BROKE. It got to the point where I didn't risk disassembling sets with old joints AT ALL for risk of them breaking. For a toy that EXISTS to be built and rebuilt repeatedly, that's a colossal failure. And guess what? Lego did not deny that the problem existed. In fact, they made sure to correct it with the CCBS, and the part designers have stated as much in conversation with the community. But then again, maybe Lego didn't treat their own products as gingerly as you did? Many of your other complaints about CCBS are similarly ignorant and moronic, but I don't have the patience to deal with them right now. Your most recent assertion alone is enough to discredit you and I don't feel like putting forth the extra effort to beat that dead horse. So I voice a dissenting opinion and I am flat-out attacked for it: "Shut up... ignorant and moronic". Worse than that, Lyichir's post has eight upvotes! That's eight people agreeing, "Yup, let's personally insult this guy for putting his opinions out there!" Did I attack any of you? Insult any of you? Be viciously sarcastic to any of you? Did I specifically call any of you out? The answer, as far as I can tell, is no. I spoke strongly in favor of the old Bionicle system over what is in my opinion, a lackluster replacement (CCBS). I said CCBS was very bad, in my opinion. I did not say any demeaning things about my fellow forumgoers and posters who had differing thoughts. I did not outright (or subtly) insult anyone. I did not even insult or attack anyone else's views while expressing my own, however strong and differing they may be. I will admit my second post was a little bit snide, perhaps too much so, but it was by no means rude or blatantly hostile. I cannot understand how my words warranted such a harsh response and how the rest of the community has watched and condoned it. I'm very disappointed. And, for the record, I have not broken a single Bionicle piece. Ever. My "assertion... [that] discredits" me is simply my own experience. Lyichir, if you want to continue this argument, please do it via PM so it is not done in such a publicly humiliating and rude manner.
  4. Makuta has been confirmed to be influencing/possessing Kulta. I'm guessing he'll be defeated when Kulta is defeated. Honestly, after that I doubt he'll be important. We've already got names for the next wave. Source? As far as I can tell, Makuta's been KO-ed by Ekimu. He could only be influencing things distantly, in my opinion, like during the Piraka story-arc.
  5. I got some weird looks using that at my local Target. I'd go absolutely nuts about seeing a new Bionicle display.
  6. I was so excited for this set... Then I saw the $50 price point. </3
  7. Not going to lie, I think the microworld sets are the superior offerings in the Minecraft line.
  8. Botar. Massive, looks cool, has good playability, and is a beast in the story. 11/10 would build again with Paleo.
  9. "Who." Hahli. Playing as her in MNOGII and watching her grow as a Toa. Nuparu as close second.
  10. From a store? Lewa from the Mall of America LEGO Shop, about a month ago. From anywhere? Skrall, Atakus, Vorox, Zesk, Strakk, Metus, and Cendox V1 from eBay, just a few days ago. Yeah, I need to go easy on the plastic crack now... Shoot, I think I answered this topic before. Whoops.
  11. More Rahi and Matoran, just to populate the world more. Perhaps the pre-mutation Makuta Mistika would have been cool. Also, what's up with this Akhmou, Toa of Shadow thing?
  12. Well, it came in only one set. One rather expensive and rare set. So. Yeah. Not surprising that it's still so pricey.
  13. My local Target in MN had all the new sets in yesterday! ... Local stores still only have a few sets and only from the prior wave. Granted, my stores were always slow on getting Transformers too, so...
  14. Fast and Furious 7. I don't even like rap or pop music, but this stuff is great.
  15. Anyone in Po-Koro's hospital, looking for work?
  16. If my BZPRPG character is sorely wounded, where would I head to (or to whom would I head) to get fixed up?
  17. I think it'd be just a "transformation" Takua, as he's about to transform into Takanuva. Cool find, mate.
  18. IC: Torvoth Ardoku marched through the gates to Po-Koro, a most welcome sight. I was only able to see this sight because I dimly heard the din of work and chatter in my pained stupor. Suddenly, a strong and very unpleasant realization hit me. "Ardoku?" "Yes?" "I'm about to die." "The medical center should be just a few minutes walking." "I have a broken back and enough internal injuries to kill a Kane-Ra bull. I am fairly certain at this point that my body has held up marvelously as best as it could, but it has reached the end of the line." I could feel as the multitude gears and pistons which melded with my organic muscles slowly began to lose their metallic strength and regular motion within me. Sound started to seep away, slowly, but then terrifyingly faster and faster. It became an ever-increasing chore to keep my eyes open, let alone focused on my surroundings. At the edges of my already ravaged vision, the world began to darken and cloud over entirely. I distantly felt Ardoku break into a run beneath me, but I kept myself conscious for one final herculean effort. Drawing my chainblade, I revved it up and pushed against Ardoku's sheathed sword with my last ounce of strength. Metal teeth spinning at several thousand rotations per minute cried out in protest as they scraped repeatedly against Ardoku's well-forged weapon, sending out an ear-splitting shriek of tortured metal echoing through the entirety of Po-Koro. I placed the last of my hopes in my makeshift siren, hoping that the screeching noise would attract some people with at least some semblance of medical training would save me before it was too late. I wasn't afraid of death by any means, but I had hoped to go out in a much more awesome way. Sadly, these thoughts too began to slip away as I began to slip out of this world and into the next. "I need a doctor..." I murmured. Everything went black. OC: Torvoth open for interaction in Po-Koro. Someone please help me.
  19. IC: Torvoth Words shook me out of the semi-conscious daze that I inhabited. "Well then... what direction is Po-Koro again?" It was the voice of my tireless and loyal companion, Toa Ardoku. I opened my eyes and bitterly regretted this action, as the unforgiving harsh light of the desert burned into them with ferocious intensity. After what seemed like ages, they finally acclimatized. I glanced around from Ardoku's shoulder and jabbed my finger in the proper direction before slumping back just as he started off away from the Dark Walk and into the light of Po-Wahi.
  20. IC: Torvoth I glanced up at my rescuer. "Yes, a hand would by nice. Also a spine. In fact, a spine would be nicer than a hand. But I'll take the hand for now." I took the proffered hand as Ardoku pulled me roughly over his shoulder. Before I let him heft me all the way, I snatched up the remaining shattered parts of my handgun, stuffing into the now-shredded rucksack I carried everywhere. "Thanks. I don't usually say that." I coughed, spitting out a few springs and hydraulic fluid. Additional skittering sounded in the darkness. Perhaps the dinner was actually a banquet or a feast for the cave-dwelling Rahi. At least, it would be if we couldn't get away fast enough. I cleared my throat. "We may want to move. By 'may', I mean 'really really really'..." We left in a hurry. We walked. Walked in the Dark Walk. Heh. It would have been kind of amusing, save for the fact that I was in excruciating pain and the fact that the journey seemed to be endless. I could definitely understand why even "brave" Toa might have quailed to enter such a place of endless shadow. I have no idea for how long Ardoku carried me, as I think I lapsed in and out of consciousness, bouncing up and down with a clatter of armor. We may have even been in there for days, for time itself dissolved under the oppressive shadows. Things which are not started to swim into existence, but not into focus ahead of me. Faces I've known, people I've killed, experiences I've had... and more strangely, experiences I have yet to have. Or perhaps, experiences which I might have had. Or might not. Even now, the logic of my visions was not comprehensible to me. I could only understand that I was experiencing the consequences of spending too much time where only monsters should walk. However, I was suddenly shaken out of my haze for reasons that I originally could not place. "Hey, Toa. I may be simply hallucinating as I grow closer to death, but it seems that the ever-pervasive darkness that has enveloped us has gotten ever so slightly less pervasive and dark. Thoughts, Toa?" OC: Handgun is indeed broke as Karzahni.
  21. IC: Torvoth I thudded to the ground as my Toa companion unceremoniously dumped me in his haste to avoid the beast's attack. Speaking of which, the beast happened to be right on top of me. It bore down on me, its compound eyes gleaming a ferocious crimson. I could only see this, of course, thanks to the still-glowing aftermath of Ardoku's plasma blast. The enormous scorpion's mandibles clicked and chattered mere inches away from my beautiful face. Massive claws snapped menacingly to both my left and right with sickening speed and loudness. The Nui-Jaga skittered back and forth on its many legs, obviously excited, but undecided as to how to slay and consume its prey. It appeared that I was invited to dinner for two, so I decided it was only proper to greet my fellow diner. "Hello." The Rahi paused and seemed to regard me quizzically. "Dinner is served," I proclaimed as I forced the angular metal mass of my broken handgun into its mouth.
  22. I swear there was just a thread like this... But I like these threads. All my close friends are aware of my interest in Bionicle, but they don't share the interest so (shrug). I guess Paleo and I do nerd out together sometimes. That's a lot of fun. However, I'll be headed to college in a year, so I obviously don't spout this to my classmates. My reputation is tarnished as it is. That said, in terms of my friends, which is what this thread is aimed at, I've mentioned pretty much all I want to above.
