  1. Don't mean to be rude, but you kind of got ripped off. Unless New-In-Canister.
  2. IC: Torvoth "Heck no. I don't make clicky noises. Most of the time I don't." The noise came again, slightly closer this time. "We need to move. NOW." I paused a moment before adding, "When I said, 'we need to move,' I meant YOU need to move ME. NOW!"
  3. OC: We both swapped to first-person, oddly enough. IC: Torvoth I heard a voice. "Torvoth, that you? Are you okay?" It was kind of soft, but more importantly, irritating and strangely familiar. Actually, even more important that being irritating and familiar, the voice was not hostile and not a Rahkshi and also not a feral Rahi. So far, so good. Names and faces floated through the dark recesses of my noggin until I eventually called out, "Ardoku?" The response was an affirmative. "In response to your earlier query... yes, it is most certainly me. Or at least, I am fairly certain I am me. Unfortunately, I am not okay. My legs appear to have taken a leave of absence - I can't tell entirely what's the matter, given the fact that it's pitch black, but they are dysfunctional completely." As I finished saying this, suddenly a wash of memories flooded through my mind. The Dark Walk quest, the cave-in, and the battle with the Rahkshi which involved my back being broken. "Wait. Belay that. My legs are attached, but my spine isn't. So. Uh. How are you?" I grunted.
  4. IC: Torvoth I awake. Pain. Agony. Darkness. Given the unpleasantness of the situation, I decide to turn to my handy list of "Things to do After Waking up from a Near-Death Experience" for some solace and practical advice. Step one: After nearly dying, check what parts of your body, equipment, and mind have carried over to your new, still-living incarnation. Alright then: Arms (two)... yup, present and accounted for. Head. Head? Think so... yes, still properly encased in a battered and spiked Kadin-helmet. What else do people have? Ah, duh. Legs! Legs? ... Legs? Yoohoo? If you guys are there, can I hear an "oo-rah"? Uh-oh. I cannot feel my legs. In addition, I cannot even see my legs, considering how dark it is here. I try to stand, but to absolutely no avail. This, in a nutshell, is not good. The resulting stream of invective and profanity from my mouth is unprecedented in how vitriolic and prolific it is, even for me. Around me, rock flakes and crumbles to dust, the very air shrieks in protest, and any bug-rahi nearby dissolve under my caustic and wordy wrath. Or, that's at least how I'd like to image it. Back to our handy dandy list. Right-o! Where were we? Weapons! I fish around me with my hands, my fingers scrabbling over blood and rock in search of a familiar touch. Finicky chainblade of civilization-threatening potency? Check. Relatively weak handgun redeemed by its ability to fire anything I fit in the barrel? "The Judge" is in, ladies. Granted, I don't think there are any ladies down here any more, but whatever. Now that I've taken stock of my situation, the time has come for action. I appear to have been abandoned by those half-witted so-called "Sentinels," presumably while they were fleeing from any danger like frightened Mukau. For better or for worse, judging by the pervasive silence, I seem to be alone for now. Or am I? OC: I'm back. Stop the presses.
  5. Toa Mata Nui is what first comes to mind. Maybe some prototypes or misprints would be nice. People who are like, "I really wish that I'd gotten ____ sets," should really check out eBay. I've assembled my budding Rahi, Glatorian, Stars, Mata, and Matoran collections entirely from nothing thanks to good deals on eBay.
  6. Amazon has Gali and Onua on a discount. Thanks! Shipping though...
  7. Been surprised by all of the durability comments about pieces I've seen lately. Maybe it's my general lack of sets from 08-10 (are those the weak ones?), but I've never outright broken a piece. No, CCBS is not magically superior in durability compared to Bionicle. It's just that people who didn't take good care of their Bionicle sets ended up being surprised that they broke. Granted, the lime-green limb piece failure was something else altogether.
  8. What happened to the Dark Walk quest?
  9. My goodness, I'm appalled. CCBS is terrible. For a great many reasons. First of all, it's much worse at MoCing with because it cannot easily interface with Technic or Bionicle parts. Bionicle parts always had a multitude of pinholes and axle-holes, but CCBS is much more sparse in that regard. CCBS bone pieces have one "armor-attaching balljoint" - Bionicle's Rahkshi and Piraka legs, to take some popular limb pieces, have two (or even three) pinholes, allowing for much greater creative freedom. That's just looking at leg-pieces, let alone anything else. Secondly, and much more importantly (in my opinion), is that CCBS looks terrible. It looks terrible because it is bland and generic. It looks terrible because there's absolutely no depth, no texture, and no details (with a few exceptions) that make pieces look unique or mechanical. Bionicle had pistons, hinges, gears, gribbly bits, textures, and more - CCBS has... lots of boring smooth shells. For me, the only time CCBS ever worked was in Invasion From Below, making large, featureless metal battle machines for the Heroes. However, for anything else, the building system totally lacked Bionicle's visual complexity. Okay, so "a great many reasons" was two, but CCBS is still trash, as outlined above.
  10. Actually fair questions. I was thinking maybe Metru Nui, but ... anyone?
  11. Hey all, I remember that before Bionicle.com was taken down, there was a Journey's End Mata Nui Saga comic (maybe even motion-comic?) on the front page with the narration of Mata Nui's voice actor. Does anyone else remember this, and more importantly, does anyone know where I can find it or a recording of this narrated comic? -Waz Edit: I think it's the Mata Nui Saga (http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/Mata_Nui_Saga).
  12. Pretty cool. I wish the guys who did MNOG could've helped though.
  13. I know that Walmart's been starting to clearance some of the older sets - any news about any Bionicle sales elsewhere?
  14. They're adorable! Can we hope to see more?
  15. Are there any rough pricing outlines for each of the services? Also, this stuff is dope.
  16. "There's no way back." Yeah, pretty legit.
  17. So why are we having so many collectible minifigures and so few collectible masks?
  18. I just found out a cool little feature of the new masks, but perhaps not cool enough for its own topic. You can fit the new masks onto any Bionicle's hand using the standard hand piece if you put it on sideways, so that the nubs of the mask that would go against the head temples instead go over the axle holes of the hands. Now the heroes can carry their masks with them.
  19. G1: Limited Edition Supercharged Jetrax T6. The centerpiece of my Bionicle collection and the only vehicle I own. G2: Tahu. There's really just nothing wrong with the figure in any way. The only minor nitpick is the addition of gunmetal in the feet and broadswords, but that is, again, only minor.
  20. It's less an issue of "blue heroes only being girls" than "girl heroes only being blue". There's really no need to tie gender to color or element, so thankfully that aspect of the story seems to have been thrown out. You may not see a "reason" to change it, but there's no reason it has to be the same either. What happened to "don't fix it if it ain't broke"?
  21. I'd say they're more of a vocal minority than anything. Typically someone who feels very passionately against something (i.e. 2015 sets) is more willing to make a big deal out of it than someone who passionately likes them. That's why you can usually find the same person commenting about how much they hate the new sets on a few different YouTube videos, Tumblr pages, ect. I'd argue the contrary. The people who are put off by the G2 Bionicles are often going to stray away from mentioning, looking at, or purchasing anything G2 Bionicle-related. Source? Many of my Bionicle-loving friends.
