  1. The purple has worked well on both earth themed models. Onua's bulk also suits him very well.
  2. EDIT: is the reason for this because of the conversion to normal measurements from Bionicle measurements? A Mio is like 941 meters, right? It's actually from one of Teridax's quotes. "We both know there are 1000 ways I could kill you now, and 941 of them hurt."
  3. How about whenever exaggerating quantity, use 941 instead of thousands or tons. Again, not really a shibboleth, but could be quite subtly done to non-fans, while fans should recognise the hint.
  4. This one could work in casual conversations, at least if you often get the bus... Piraka rap was horrible, let's pretend it never existed... This works the best if you ask me, although you have to know people you can call stupid! My idea is to use the word "cataclysmic" for anything bad that happens. It should pass over most people's heads (as long as you don't say it too often) and it should at least trigger a look from another bonkles fan.
  5. I'm pretty sure kraata and rahkshi are created by makuta, but aren't considered to be rahi. Maybe something's a rahi if the creator decides it is. Not a systematic method, but it works.
  6. There're always questions on the physics in the Bionicle universe, but they are often quite varied.
  7. He needed to infect Mata Nui with the virus so he could take control of the MU while Mata Nui was waking up. Because Mata Nui was asleep, no one was piloting the MU and it crashed into Aqua Magna, causing the cataclysm. The trapping of the matoran was just to brainwash them more easily once he took over. My headcannon is that by leaving Metru Nui unmanned, Mata Nui's "brain" could not work, which played a part in putting him in a coma. This means trapping the matoran actually did play an important part in putting Mata Nui to sleep.
  8. They've focussed most on Tahu in the animations, and Tahu is the classic leader, so call me unoriginal, but I'm voting for him. Although I wouldn't mind it if they broke the red Toa = Boss trend they had in gen 1...
  9. It IS the Matoran language, text-wise. It would just make it more difficult for normal citizens to decode it. Also, I think Nuparu designed the Vahki, if I'm not mistaken? They don't need it to be any more difficult to understand, it is already impossible for a matoran without the use of a translating device.
  10. It's cool, but doesn't really make sense in terms of the story. Why would whoever created the vahkii give them what is effectively a new language, when matoran already exists, and can be spoken quickly?
  11. I really like the idea of a Bionicle strategy game, although admittedly I'm not familiar with Europa Universalis... Just one question, why have you changed the names of each "faction" so much? I understand it's in the future after the reforming, but names like "Ateros Nova" and "Jirapatine", which as far as know have no use in Bionicle, left me confused... Is it something to do with copyrights why you changed them? I'd also love to see some classic factions return to make it feel more Bionicle-y. Teridax is obviously dead, but couldn't Miserix still create an army of rahkshi and rahi after some falling out with the matoran? Is it possible that somehow the bohrok survived, and are "cleaning" Spherus Magna in some confused rampage? Otherwise, good job with the banners, the Ateros Nova banner really suits Mata Nui-ish stuff (I'm assuming Ateros Nova is the matoran?), and I love seeing the Barraki being the warlords they are at heart. Wish I could contribute by actually creating for it, but I lack the necessary skills. I'll be happy to give feedback though! (Oh, and I'll take a look at the unmodded game to get a better idea of what it's like).
  12. Yes. It's an easy solution that's been done before many times. It also allows me to happily stick to my gen 1 universe and be ignorant of gen 2 IF it becomes too different... For the Makuta idea, it might be possible that the legends of the Brotherhood of Makuta were only good ones spread, since they initially were a fairly good organization; they created Rahi and populated the universe with them, so perhaps Gen2 Makuta wanted to spread his mask creations like the Makuta of days old did with their Rahi Wait... Perhaps The Final Five Makuta... The good ones.... Miserex Survived... so? PLOT TWIST! Miserix is the gen 2 Makuta? I keep thinking Artakha is Ekimu because of their masks ... I might make them the same being for this past/future theory in my headcannon.
  13. This is why Bionicle stood out from the rest of Lego's products; darker, longer, more detailed storyline. Hope Gen 2 keeps to this idea.
  14. Yeah, any mystical liquid that does stuff will be the gen 2 protodermis, and it's possible they'll use the same name. Whatever it will be called, there will be some form of it.
  15. Hmmm... What about Nocturn's species? Are top-left/bottom-left/top-right/bottom-right handed more common? I always make my very occasional mocs right handed, just because it feels normal. If both arms are equally strong, but the dominant hand is more skilled (handwriting), I guess so...
  16. I'm happy with applying the multiverse theory and leaving it as it is. Some easter eggs such as Vezon popping out of a portal and then disappearing would be nice.
  17. Taking the myth idea to the extreme, maybe the events on Okoto were just a fairy tale for the GBs, and influenced Arthaka's design of the Toa Mata. Going waaay too far now, but if we apply the (unpopular) theory that the GBs are humans, LEGO's gen 2 characters are going to influence some giant robot we build in the future!!! Of course, it could work the other way round if we find out Okoto was made by some GB equivalent...
  18. On a similar note, does anyone think Onua is more "stone-ish" because his association with those purple crystals? And Pohatu is more "earth-ish" because of his association with sand?
  19. The old stiryline was in the "time before time began" so I wouldn't take it too seriously. But I would love it if gen2 linked to gen1 somehow...
  20. Energized protodermis is Bionicle's equivalent of nuclear waste/kryptonite/radioactive spider/warp/mega stones/mushrooms. It powers up the heroes in an unexplainable way. And the GBs guessed this was true so they made Mata Nui to do experiments on EP and track planets that could be living?
  21. I kind of imagined all the corrupted matoran as "artificial" kra-matoran, since they were previously "normal" matoran, and hence why they kept their colours. Fair enough about shadow only being for powerful beings, but the kestora were special... Kestora only have robot sapience. Don't know what you mean by creativity. Black definitely relates to shadow, but admittedly, purple doesn't. The Makuta were built to create rahi, which gave them the appearance of scientists. Death and shadow are not evil, but both are morbid. Karda Nui has been used as a reboot button, yet it's not it's original purpose. The red star's original purpose was to help the MU take off from planets, not resurrect the dead. I don't mean to be stubborn, but I feel you may have not understood some of my evidence.
  22. This may be a bit of an over-ambitious leap, but could it be possible that the kestora are matoran of shadow? Firstly, shadow is the only element not to be naturally represented in a tribe of matoran, despite not being considered evil when the MU was created. This is a perfect slot for the kestora to fill. Secondly, kestora are not sapient unlike matoran, but this is only because they were excluded from Velika's awakening. If they were inside the robot during the awakening, there is no reason why they would not have gained sapience. Thirdly, their colours are black and purple. Although they lack red, these two colours are both related to shadow. Fourthly, their job is perfectly themed for shadow matoran; resurrecting the dead. The Makuta are the most shadow themed species in the MU, and specialise as scientists. Necromancy of mechanical beings is a rather morbid and "sciency" task, relating the element of shadow. Fifthly, they are perfect mirrors of av-matoran, who are linked to the opposite element. The av-matoran are located in the heart of the MU, while the kestora live on the edge. Karda-Nui resurrects the Great Spirit, while the Red Star resurrects its inhabitants. The energy storms represent rebirth, while the Red Star is almost like an afterlife. Of course, there are problems with this theory. Why aren't the kestora called kra-matoran if they are matoran? My best answer is because the matoran named themselves after they became sapient. I don't think this is a certain fact, but it's my best answer. Any criticism pointing out mistakes I made is welcome, and thank you for any feedback!
  23. How would we be able to tell them apart if they did create individual characters? They all wear the same mask!
  24. Everyone needs a box of bodiless limbs and gore. Afterall, they can reassemble themselves, right?
  25. *Uses Felnas on Kaukau Gali can now breath underwater infinitely? The Felnas depends too much on what you use it on, what if you have no powers? Well firstly, it has been stated that Gali can use her Kaukau Nuva to force people to have to breathe water (making them unable to breathe air therefore suffocating them) and so the Felnas could easily do that as well. Also, the Kaukau isn't the only power Gali has. When Gorast touches her victim, the power that always went wild was the power that was 1. currently active (Icarax was just about to teleport) or 2. the most prominent power they had (Pohatu and his stone power, or Krika and his density control). My case still stands, it's a very potent mask to have. Fair point, I forgot it affected all powers, not just masks. It still wouldn't work on a powerless being unfortunately.
