  1. IC: Lucid / Hallway Lucid glanced at Tombstone and Exigent. "Would you want me to say it aloud, in front of others, if there were?" * * * IC: Vlad / Hallways Of all the Rahkshi roaming the hallways, Vlad was quite possibly the least representative of the student body as a whole. So for Garrotte, still wondering what the school as a whole was like, Vlad was arguably less useful than an empty hallway. But, as fate would have it, it was Vlad whose path she crossed. Not that he was going to approach her - he wouldn't normally approach anyone, unless he had to stop them beating someone up, and she didn't look especially friendly. But, if she wanted to ask someone something, she had the chance to do so now.
  2. That's good to know, thanks. Be sure to specify that in the profile, as well.
  3. IC: Lucid / Hallway "Reading your palm," Lucid explained, though it was rather obvious. "It can reveal much, if one knows how."
  4. How long are we talking here? Because I can imagine anything from a few inches (Nuparu Inika) to more than a foot (Ehlek) being feasible, and if it's left ambiguous things might get confusing.
  5. Flickr Funny little mechs of indeterminate origin, found roaming scattered throughout the universe. It seems they do everything but talk, making it difficult but worthwhile to ally with one should you encounter it. An experiment in rotational symmetry - I hoped to create something with character despite lacking any sort of face or even defined sides. It's not a hugely intricate build, but hopefully it's interesting nonetheless. Hope to hear what you think!
  6. IC: Lucid / Hallway The dream Rahkshi smiled softly but said nothing, hoping to give Helkyrie a moment to become less befuddled.
  7. IC: Lucid / Hallway "A tumultuous past," Lucid muttered, not apparently to anyone. "But endured well." Nodding, she let go of Helkyrie's hand, satisfied and grateful to have been granted this chance for a better understanding of the teleporter. "Thank you."
  8. IC: Lucid / Hallways "I am Lucid," the dream Rahkshi responded, more than willing to accept Helkyrie's amends, as she took the offered hand - but rather than shaking it as had likely been intended, began to read it. * * * IC: Shark / Gym There was no response from Shark to Percy's exclamation, aside perhaps from his gaze resting on the Dodge Rahk for its duration. If he thought defeating a largely ordinary level 2 signified a step toward standing against Shark, so be it. * * * IC: Shock / Gym While Percy celebrated by shouting at Shark, Shock unceremoniously dragged himself out of the water, dejected. He hadn't even made it past the first round. Thurisaz called over to him with some consolation and an offer to stay and watch the rest, but he didn't really listen - it didn't change anything. Head lowered, he left the Gym, probably on a path to the Infirmary to get his minor injuries fixed up before figuring out what to do next. * * * IC: Gaever / Ruins Phantom's dejection was disappointing to see, but there was nothing Gaever could think to do about it. Her thoughts on the tower were not going to change. She sighed, and in silence again she began to collect stone from the wreckage once more.
  9. GM IC: Palma "You're doing well, but I'll take over now." It had taken a while but now Palma was coming around to Tear. Fate was talented but couldn't match the medic's expertise and healing powers, and in a few moments she had accomplished mending that might have taken hours otherwise. "You'll be okay. Just get some good rest," she assured Tear.
  10. IC: Lucid / Hallway Lucid shook her head. The seeker's pointless struggle continued: for all her words, she would go further in silence. But she would not. Still. "Not at all. But you speak shallowly, not out of understanding but defiance." OOC: I'll be working on a Palma post
  11. IC: Lucid / Hallways Lucid pondered for a moment. "There are those who seek great secrets, thinking they will unlock each door and resolve every hardship. Feverishly they press and struggle and search, but what they look for does not exist in a precise location, to be charted and hunted and ruthless extracted. It exists in stillness and reflection - contemplating and accepting of what cannot be. Someone who recognizes this might truly tell one of the seekers: 'For all your steps to go somewhere, you could not walk and be farther.' And this advice would be good, yet not obviously so. But sadly, most would not listen." "And so many wasted measures later, the same sage might tell them: you continue to mangle meaning in your attempts to extricate it."
  12. IC: Lucid / Hallways "You just heard one," came Lucid's easy response.
  13. They have indeed been PMed and informed that their characters have been approved and can be played whenever they desire, if they do at all. One of them doesn't seem to be active anymore, but that doesn't change the fact that his profile was posted and worthy of approval, given which it is our duty to approve it.
  14. IC: Lucid / Hallways "Sometimes the best advice is the least obvious," Lucid replied mysteriously.
  15. OOC: Don't worry about it. I knew that was a typo, it just gave me some fuel for Lucid's unusual perceptions. IC: Lucid / Hallway "It isn't a bother," Lucid assured him, proceeding to direct enlighteningly, "If you wish to carve, you will need to leave the school, for the stone here is hungry and does not linger. Pass beyond the column of greatness as the wind rises. When the skies have spun beyond the pale, reject the tyroma, and find what you seek."
  16. IC: Lucid / Hallways "I am Lucid," the rainbow Rahk responded kindly, though she found it odd that this Rahkshi was trying to bowl when there were no pins or targets in sight, and he had no ball to throw at them. "Hello. Welcome." The second word was tinged with sadness, for she knew this was not a welcoming place.
  17. IC: Gaever / Nynrah Gaever shook her head. "The tower does consist of good stone. It is also, however... among the last of the buildings remaining from the settlement that... was once here. Such a monument... should not be defaced.Enough good stone can be found elsewhere." She was growing uneasy. This conversation was cutting too closely to details of destruction. * * * IC: Lucid / Library The Library was not supposed to be this loud. How were you supposed to meditate on great mysteries? Things like the meaning of life, the nature of the universe, and the nonsensical ability of Shore Turtles to fly could not be contemplated in this tumult. Rather than add another voice to the clamor by telling everyone to be quiet (which the clamor already largely consisted of), though, Lucid had the sense to simply wander out of the room. Probably she was headed towards the courtyard. OOC: Lucid open for interaction
  18. IC: Shark / Gym The tournament remained of great interest, each fight's progress and eventual conclusion of potential use. With four now over, though, Shark extended his attention to some of the other new occurrences around the room. That Rahk over there was apparently sort of a masochist, for example. Most intriguing was Draco's activity, however. The Cyclonic Prefect followed a pattern Shark had seen before: increasingly feverishly intense training, troubled expressions, then suddenly ceasing and exiting purposefully. A pattern of introspection. One might wonder what he contemplated.
  19. Alright, looks good now. Dahl approved x2.
  20. Tombstone looks okay now, approved x3. Just remember that his ability to hide isn't going to match that of a Chameleon Rahk. Dahl's individual weapons are not unreasonable, but I agree that he just has too many for a new arrival. Like Scorp said, removing at least one of the three swords would be a good idea. If you must have more later for some reason, Corpus does have an armory.
  21. Sorry for the contradiction Timageness, I got that post off in rush on mobile and didn't see that you'd kapura'd me with a different answer. If I had I probably would have spoken differently. I think we, the GMs, should try to make decisions collectively. Meaning, rather than just each independently evaluating a profile and it passing if it gets enough approvals, we should discuss it (and I'll PM you about how we might do that) and decide if it passes or not. Which might mean one of us is initially the only one who has problems with a character, or the only one who sees nothing wrong, but they would accept the judgement of the other two. Until we figure that for sure, though, I thought all three was the safer option. And given we've been appointed GMs, I think we know how to keep a profile reasonable, and will fully intend to. (I hope so, anyways.) So our profiles can start with our own approval, since we're expected not to submit anything that wouldn't deserve it. The risk there is in bias, but I don't think any of us would stubbornly reject justified criticism of a profile.
  22. Yeah, it requires each GM's approval. Luffy looks good to me now, approved x2. I'm still not taking into account possible expyness though. Tombstone, I too share Strider's concerns about. Rōzu is approved x2.
  23. Good to see you're enthusiastic about joining, Marvelous. I'm not well-versed in One Piece, so I'll let Strider judge when Luffy is sufficiently original. I am concerned, though, that you specify so lightly that his outbursts have resulted in death. Killing another Rahkshi is a major feat which few manage at all, fewer still prior to even arriving at Corpus. It's really quite difficult to accomplish, could be traumatic for a relatively well-meaning individual, and likely to incur harsh punishment from his Makuta. Especially if it happened multiple times. So I'd like to see some mixture of toning down that deadliness, and putting some thought into how he managed it and what the ramifications were. One last thing for Luffy, is this 'thing with that one Rahkshi and the sword' basically just a noodle incident (some odd event which will be referred to, but never explained nor hugely significant)? Otherwise, if it's an big formative event for him I'd like to know what it actually was before I approve it. If it's something you want kept confidential you can PM me about it. Happily, aside from echoing Strider's reminder that enjoying pain won't make injuries any less debilitating, I don't have anything to point out for Kri. Approved x2.
