  1. IC: Miira (Sota Colisseum | Fighting with Drudd) The foe turned around and revealed its back. Miira quietly stood up and moved towards it across the stone floor. When she was close enough, she threw a knife, aiming at the creature's left leg, and ran at the enemy. She pulled out her other dagger and attacked the Rahkshi before it could turn around: One knife thrust towards an unprotected seam in its left shoulder and other at the shell that contained the slug in control of the metal beast.
  2. IC: Derkahn (Stelt Shatterdome) When Acacia approached her Jaeger, she saw an Onu-Matoran fiddling a glowing tablet with his hands. He noticed her approaching and turned around to look at her. "Ah, there you are, Acacia. I see you received my message about the completion of your battlesuit." He gestured to his side at the Jaeger. "We installed effective camouflage systems, protosteel blades in the arms and a Kanohi Calix, like you asked. I hope you're happy with the result. She's ready to go, and I recommed you try her out and see if the systems are fully functional. And she's still nameless, unless you think 'Unit 56-B' is a good name for her." OoC: Talking to Acacia
  3. Name: Derkahn Species: Onu-Matoran Gender: Male Powers/Gear: Matoran of Earth. Has a toolbox filled with various mechanical tools and small spare parts. He owns a small electronic 'smart-tablet' he uses for notekeeping and mathematical calculations. He has a leather satchel for storing more common items, such as his notebook, food, water, and most importantly, alcohol. Appearance: A short and sturdy creature fond of drink and industry. His mask, a Kanohi Ruru, is purple, his eyes glow dark green and the rest of his body is black. Personality: Derkahn is a thoughtful, quiet person, whose mind funtions like a efficient machine, fueled by booze. He has always loved tinkering with machines, and sometimes seems to love them more than any person. He is not shy, and is more than happy to converse with others. His speech is direct and efficient, but not emotionless. Always interested in hearing what others think, he is a curious person, perhaps because of his desire to know how machines, or in this case, people and their minds work. He isn't very fond of arrogant superiors and becomes angry if they abuse their power. History: Derkahn has been a mechanic for most of his life and has familiarized himself with Jaegers. He has worked in factories for decades and is very experienced with leading repairs and constructions of these giant machines. He has lived in Stelt for a long time.
  4. OoC: 'Ensnaring' energy? I'm sure you meant 'explosive'. IC: Miira (Sota Colisseum | Fighting with Drudd) When the brutish Rahkshi held its weapon strangely and pointed the odd device in its tip at her, she was alarmed and decided to push her amulet. Blasts of bright energy erupted from the rod and engulfed Miira, who survived unharmed thanks to the artifact on her neck. But she pretended that it was not the case, and fell on the ground, clouds of smoke hiding her prone body. She appeared defeated, possibly dead. Before the smoke dissipated, she switched one of her poisoned daggers with a throwing knife and began to wait for her opponent's move. IC: Dartakh (Hallways | With Dekako and Langmuir) He frowned and appeared to be thoroughly disappointed. "You sure about that? Surely someone has hoarded some booze and hidden it well. I must then find all these secret stashes I can." But instead, he yawned and closed his eyes. "Actually, I'm going to take a nap first", he mumbled and soon started snoring.
  5. IC: Derkahn (Circadian entrance) He wanted to say no, because the stranger hadn't really answered his questions, but was too terrified to do so and instead just closed his eyes and sighed, trying to calm himself down. After a moment he said "I am no longer part of the Jatikko, I resigned some time ago. I was just waiting for the pirates to let me out, but they're dead now so I can leave. I suppose I should thank you, 'Toa'. Good bye." He pushed himself away from the wall and took a step towards the entrance. It was a rather tentative step, and he glanced at the stranger, uncertain of how he would react.
  6. What are you talking about? What is this incorrect assumption based upon?
  7. IC: Derkahn (Circadian entrance) Derkahn frowned. "Dead? Toa? What? How? There were at least a dozen of them, if not more. How did they die? And what's a Toa?"
  8. So basically Dwarf Fortress mixed with Bionicle? I'm interested. One problem though, stats are hated here, so the game shouldn't necessarily focus on resources too much. Maybe there could be resource nodes that basically provide an undefined, practically infinite amount of material, but must be defended from Rahi? A quarry would be a good example, as long as it is secure stone can be used for construction and crafting. Another issue: Speaking of construction and crafting, how will they work? There needs to be some kind of limit on creating items and large constructions should be quite difficult to build. Is crafting and construction done IC? Is skill taken into consideration?
  9. IC: Miira (Sota Colisseum | Fighting with Drudd) The machine-beast swung its staff at her, but she wasn't too close to the Rahkshi, so she was able to jump backwards and avoid a hit from the metal rod. "You're heavy and slow, beast. Good luck trying to hit me", she taunted, not caring if the beast was unable to understand speech, and leaped to its side while it recovered from attacking her. She quickly thrust one of her knives at the joint in the creature's shoulder and prepared to move away from it again. Hit-and-run tactics worked well against large opponents.
  10. IC: Derkahn (Circadian entrance) Derkahn gasped when he suddenly appeared elsewhere, and almost fell on the floor. His head hurt, he was dizzy and he still hadn't awoken properly, so he rubbed his eyes and moved towards the wall so he could lean on it. He looked at the stranger again, a mix of fear and confusion on his face. "Wha-what just happened? Who - no, what are you?" If he wasn't so afraid, he would've also asked how exactly the tall person had managed to instantenously move him away from the crate and what fascinating technology had allowed him to do such a thing.
  11. IC: Holistic (Near Library) And now the winged stranger attacks her. I do what she said and move away. have no part in this, and I do not fight without a reason, for I do not enjoy the thrill of combat like some barbarians do. I understand that it is my duty, but only against Toa. I have no desire to hurt my brothers and sisters. I see this as an opportune chance for finally going to the refectory and filing my digestive system with food. After a while I discover the dining hall after following the Rahkshi's directions. A rather simple setup of long tables, but it sufficient. For me at least, but I am certain some people are disappointed with the aesthetics of the room. Bah, those exacting snobs. Why do rooms and buildings need to be beautiful? They're conventional constructs used for living, not paintings or sculptures. I pick up some grey porridge, for I found no other meals, and sit down to eat. The taste is nonexistent, but I hope that it is nutritious. Healthy food doesn't usually taste good. OoC: Feel free to talk with her, she's in the Refectory
  12. IC: Derkahn (Circadian entrance) The sleeping Matoran opened his eyes a little when he heard footsteps. When the sound of a loud explosion reverberated in the room and shrapnel clattered on the floor, his eyes opened fully and he quickly stood up. "Unholy son of a concubine!" he yelled and saw Gamma with a tall stranger. "Who the karzahni are you?!" he asked, opened a nearby supply crate and started frantically digging through its contents in order to find some kind of weapon.
  13. IC: Miira (Sota Colisseum) Miira observed other combatants behind a large piece of rubble. Already several had been knocked out, although accidentally, and some fights had started. She had decided to wait and find a formidable opponent to fight against, because for her the Sota Games were just a way to get an adrenaline rush. She didn't care about the reward, freedom, because she didn't trust the cultists. They wouldn't just let them go. Ah, there, a white Rahkshi. Heavily armoured, a staff in its hands. The pole had some strange device attached at its tip that she would keep an eye on. The Rahkshi appeared strong and tough, but Miira knew a common saying: The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Even if they don't, they should still provide an entertaining challenge. She prepared her throwing daggers, moved out of cover and ran, not towards the opponent, but to its side. Before it could turn, Miira threw her knives at it. From this distance and with her skill they were likely to hit and hopefully penetrate the armour. She then pulled out her poisoned daggers fit for close combat and sprinted around the Rahkshi, planning to attack its flank. OoC: Attacking Drudd

  15. RIP Christopher Lee 1922-2015

  16. IC: Holistic (Near Library | With Vitesse) This Rahkshi questions my beliefs. Good, for it is a sign of wisdom. "Hm? I never said Turaga are wiser than Toa. I said that their philosophies are simple and shallow. The transformation is voluntary, so the Toa must be bored of being godly hermits when they become Turaga. Soon they realise just how much they enjoyed power, and begin to desire it. No longer able to control the elements, they return to Matoran societies and act like sages who are fit for leadership in order to be elevated into rulers. This doesn't mean that they're actual sages, of course. As for the Makuta and their teachings.." I notice someone approaching, an odd look in his eyes. I frown and ask "Is he your friend?" while gesturing at him. "He doesn't appear very pleasant, to be honest."
  17. He'll have to pry Red from my cold, dead hands bugger off hub Red is mine now
  18. IC: Lehti (Kini-Nui | With the Toa Akari, the recluse, Darvin and Vandal) "We decided to not go into the tunnels", Lehti added, "It might be too dangerous down there. We'll do it once we're prepared and stronger."
  19. IC: Dartakh (Hallways | With Dekako and Langmuir) The supposedly tough warrior fell on the floor after Langmuir slapped him. He remained there and laughed. "Woah, a guard? Are you a Skakdi or is your universe just weird? In my world women don't fight, they rule." He paused and burped. "Doesn't mean that I have to follow their orders, of course. Do you know where I can find alcohol, by the way?" He remained lying on the floor and made no effort to stand up. IC: Miira (Muaka's Den) Her hand had attached to the handle for a moment, so the Toa had the powers of magnetism, one of Miira's least favourite Toa elements. She glared at him, refusing to question if she really should be this angry at him for merely disrupting her sleep. "We'll meet on the arena, Toa. A fine way to take out my frustration. Or maybe I'll wake up properly and calm down, who knows." She didn't particularly care about the Sota Games, for she was certain the reward was a lie. There was no way the crazy cultists would simply let victors go and be free. But at least it was more exciting than anything else in this prison. IC: Feli Gemshimmer (Medical bay | With Alisa Dare) "Thank you", she said to Alisa again, grabbed the cloth and wiped some blood from the patient's leg. She closed her eyes and raised her hand to rest on his leg. Soon her mask started to glow and the gaping wound sealed itself. Her eyes opened and she sighed. "There, that's done. It should be fine now, but rest here for one more day. If you feel fine tomorrow, I'm going to let you go." The man nodded and Feli turned around. "I suppose I should treat her next", she said to nobody in particular and looked at the Enforcer, who had been injured three days ago. "Alisa, could you please follow me? I might need your help again." OoC: Elly is in the Medical bay, right? (*Mumbles angrily about people not mentioning locations in their posts*)
  20. IC: Holistic (Near Library | With Vitesse) "Of course it's different, thanks to the the teachings and propaganda of the Turaga, the rulers of Matoran societies. It's in their best interest to teach Matoran to respect Toa so they can reign in peace, because they're former Toa themselves. They've also made Matoran see them as wise sages by feeding them philosophical ideals, such as the Three Virtues, which are shallow and simplictic when compared to actual ideals such as Stoicism or Epicureanism."
  21. OoC: IC: Miira (Muaka's Den) "I have a very good reason to be making this much noise!" Her neighbour was back at it again, scratching the wall with a rock. "I warned you, so don'y be surprised when I come over there and teach you a lesson!" She walked out of her cell with determined steps. The prisoners were allowed to leave their cell, which made Miira certain that the captors had made escape from the prison impossible. Why would they let the prisoners move freely and interact with each other if that wasn't the case? She stopped near the door and rubbed her eyes. Maybe this wasn't the greatest idea? She hadn't slept well for weeks now and sometimes wondered what she was even doing. But Miira had already threatened the noisy prisoner. If she didn't beat up the Toa, he would think that she was a woman of big words and nonexistent deeds. Or well, she didn't really care about that. She just wanted the Toa to pay for interrupting her sleep. She moved her clawed hand on the door's handle and tried to see if the door was locked. OoC: No idea how doors work here, not sure if they even have locks or handles. IC: Dartakh (Hallways | With Dekako and Langmuir) He turned around to face the newcomer. His eyes widened and he said "Wait a second, you look familiar.. You're like the Swordthrower, except with a pair of tits! Hah! Are you his sister or something?" He squinted and mumbled something to himself before saying "Your mask is different and your colors are slightly off, but otherwise you look like siblings! Although judging by your bossy attidute you might as well be his mother." IC: Feli Gemshimmer (Medical bay | With Alisa Dare) "Thank you", Feli said to Alisa with a smile and grabbed some tools. "So don't worry, this isn't going to hurt one bít", she said to the patient, trying to calm him down, "Just close your eyes and think of something pleasant." She bent over his leg, a knife in her hands, and started cutting the protodermic skin and flesh after removing some blood-soaked cloth. "Aha, there's the culprit", she said, placed the knife on a nearby table and grabbed a metallic pincer. "I was wondering why he had the symptoms of a wound infection even after I supposedly healed the injury. There was a piece of shrapnel deep inside the flesh." She used the pincers to slowly and carefully pull out the metal shard. "Alisa, bring me something to clean all this blood with. I think I should be able to deal with the infection with my mask."
  22. IC: Masome (Sado docks | With Somei) She frowned and looked at the ground. "Hmph, if there's one thing I hate about nobles the most, it's their constant struggle for power and lust for bloodshed. Can't they just live together in peace? Wars are horrible things." She remained silent for a monet and rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Anyways, uh, do you need any help? Askha told me to assist you in some way."
  23. IC: Dartakh (Hallways | With Dekako) He rubbed his long, reptilian face and said "Whatever, it's not too bad. If I was sober I would probably kill myself. So do you know where they keep the alcohol? There must be some of it stored somewhere. I mean, you don't look like a drunkard, more like something I could find in the jungles of Karoz, but my plan is to ask every person and creature I can find. There's a chance at least one of them knows." IC: Feli Gemshimmer (Medical bay) "Alisa", Feli said as she stood next to a patient and his bed, "Could you please come over here for a moment? I need you to make this man unable to feel pain for a moment." The patient was a staff member who had been injured quite badly when the facility had crashed. OoC: Talking to Alisa Dare
  24. IC: Holistic (Near Library | With Vitesse) "Master was my teacher. He guided me and taught me a great amount about life and the world. He explained to me that when Matoran degrade into Toa, they gain godly abilities and retain their cognitive capabilities, but begin relying on their powers too much. Unlike Makuta, Toa aren't capable of using their powers in moderation. Over time they turn into animals as they no longer need community or culture, because they solve their problems by using their own powers instead of relying on others to help them. They become outcasts and hermits, willing to use their powers wrong and harm innocent people after losing their conception of morals. They are beasts that must be exterminated, and Makuta created us Rahkshi to do it."
