  1. I really like that trans-blue MoCr, and although I think Ekimu could use some more gold, I hope the mask stays un-blended. I don't think the mask's design would really work blended. Ever since I saw the leaks a couple days ago, I'e been speculating on Ekimu's new appearance. Consider his abundance of trans-blue and only bits of gold. Looks very transparent. Almost.... like a ghost. A Force Ghost, you see. My theory: Ekimu gets killed by Umarak or something, and his spirit returns to help guide the Toa in their quest, with this set being the physical representation of his disembodied form. Ghosts don't tote around force hammers waiting to clobber people silly. Probably because kids generally like the heroes more and having most villains at the same level as a big-Toa set can end up being a bit of a budget waster when they generally don't sell as well as the heroes. It makes sense when you consider that the Toa are in the spotlight. The reason Pohatu wasn't a temptation to me last year because he was around twenty pieces short of Gali and Lewa. Even though some of the Skeletons had a higher piece count, the fact that they were all as small as Pohatu was a bit of a deterrent to buying them, as cool as some of their parts are. Of course, I did only get three sets last year, partly because I spent 45$ of potential Bonkle budget on a seven pound ebay lot...
  2. Umarak the Destroyer, as hoped, looks awesome. I have doubts about the effectiveness of the waist gearbox however. The Beasts? Ehh, Idunno. They look like they'll be as unintimidatingly small as the Skeletons, although I may reconsider when given a better look.
  3. This probably would have been a better idea if Soran didn't already burn the boat.... Tell the Ga-Matoran we all "got a chicken duck woman thing waiting for us." Or if not, simply ask if there's a village nearby and where it is.
  4. Yeahh.. the Visorak heads were different colors because I didn't have any of two. The color scheme doesn't look as good on the back because that part was more rushed by the end and there were supposed to be more sand parts but I took them off (and the rest were a bit too difficult to access by the time I wanted them removed). By the end, I was sick and stressed of building this monstrosity, so I rushed it at the end and then took it apart soon after. Thanks for the input! EDIT: Looking back on it... yeah, that lack of consistent color scheme is weirder than I thought.
  5. Created by the infamously powerful Cold Steel, The Sentinel is the gatekeeper of Varion Tower, the center of the city remade from the ashes of the first Vortixx-Makuta war. This MOC is being entered in BZPower's Flickr contest. The Sentinel by Brickobotface, on Flickr Gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/134131110@N07/albums/72157661185419213
  6. Build a flamethrower. that'll impress the natives.
  7. Trans red shells, I don't care if we have to wait until summer 2017, I just want them... a lot of them... And also, although this likely will never happen, let alone during G2, I would like to see the return of transflouresent blue (trans medium blue? Something like that) in the form of shells to eventually replace the trans light blue. Granted, the current color is great, but I'd like it to eventually be replaced to give some more variety over the years. And last, but not least, I'd really like some normal green shells. I'm tired of having to exclusively use parts from 2003 and earlier if I want to use that color. If any of the above come out, I will almost certainly get it.
  8. Ride it anywhere I felt like. If you accidentally walked into a Makuta's dance party, you would...
  9. Any character using a solid element such as iron or stone could just levitate on platforms of the stuff. Heh, they could even fly around like Ironman to a degree of they places in their armor for their element to form and use it to propel themselves around.
  10. Lightspeed- Don't know if Takanuva can really do this without killing himself (and vaporize whatever island he's on ) without one or two other abilities that he doesn't have, like intangibility or... Hologramification (name made up)- Turning into pure light like a hologram. I highly doubt that Takanuva would be able to pull this off as no other Toa can just turn into their respective element. However, if he could, this would make a lot of things rather ineffective on him... Radiation- While I heard somewhere that Greg specifically stated that Toa of light cannot control radiation, if you're not using an ordinary Toa or your character just has very abnormal light powers, this is plausible. As for Takanuva being OP, I kinda disagree, but that might just be because most of the fun characters I make are way more powerful. In conclusion, while Takanuva may be powerful... big deal, my light character is more so. This is why I tend to stick with complete fanon.
  11. Burn with rage, Kopaka's cooler. If The Lego Movie sequel winds up being entirely about constraction figures, you would...
  12. Hmm... Programming.... Glitches... Hmm.... Clearly the great beings created the Matrix.
  13. Von Neb and Core Hunter. They were the most interesting characters to me in the entire theme and deserved way more screentime.
  14. Gah that picture drives me insane. I wonder of Lego will ever fix it...
  15. Squids, because they're not just bad collectibles, they're useless.
  16. Pohatu's 2016 version actually looks like its worth it's price, so I went for new. Lewa... Hmm... I'd have to say it's a tie, which makes me wonder why I voted for 2016... Meh. :3 Gali, ehhh... while the new one has parts I would much rather have more of (trans blue for the win!), this year's Gali is a much cooler build overall.
  17. You act as though the extender parts are something to be avoided. Granted, they look slightly off and are almost certainly the reason they've used shorter shin pieces on all six Toa, but they also give the Toa much needed friction to help bear the weight of a ten dollar set on their back added to their own weight. Also, who doesn't like the part? They're useful to have in large numbers and I'd be more than happy to get several with each set I get. Remember that these are supposed to be good toys above all else, looks are not the top priority when it comes to a design aspect such as this. True, it'd be nice if some of the sets had longer arms, but that would probably interfere with how easily their body would swing from the gear function.
  18. I wonder how much the entry list is going to swell within the last three days...
  19. Congratulations to him, he most certainly deserves it.
  20. Despite getting disappointed every single time I enter a contest ever... Sure why not? EDIT: On seconds thought, I changed my mind. I don't feel like being disappointed... again.
  21. The new pieces are over-detailed to because people kept whining about the "lack of pistons for a year, because pistons defined everything about Bionicle, dontcha' know? Lego's trying to make it up to these people, and... they might be overcompensating. Personally, I like the piston style pieces and am glad they are bringing them back in force. I mean, yeah, this year's Toa were great and altering them to look more like the original style would mess things up. But the torso piece's piston overload, for example, doesn't bother me at all. The fact that it's overly decaled and has almost no visible connection points, however, bugs me considerably. As a whole, however, I like the new greebled parts.
  22. Hullo. Which trans Tahu mask? Clear or trans orange red? And yes, a new sealed Toa Iruni most certainly counts.
  23. Personally, I much prefer Bright Green. In general I'm quite happy with the primary colors of the 2015 Toa and don't wish for them to change. I'm open to the possibility of new secondary colors, but I feel like the colors of the 2015 Toa and Protector masks look very good together, possibly better than the colors of the 2001 Toa masks did. While Lewa looks nice with it and it's a pretty nice color and it's nice that they're using the color in a set people are actually going to buy, (coughcoughGreenLantercough ) I would really like it if they brought back the Mata green. It'd be nice to have new parts in the color, cause, you know, the only constraction parts in that color come from before 2004... That being said, if he's Mata green next year, I'm totally going to try to get him.
  24. I was mainly curious on what the creators of the region had to say regarding the language there. While there isn't much and the site itself has a mild case of it, I was still wondering.
