  1. This was unintentional and should be fixed. The system to hide votes is a little touchy, and tends to reset itself if you edit the first post of the topic (to fix a thumbnail, for instance). Ok, thanks for the info! I appreciate the anonymity of the polls, but I feel like everybody saying their votes is kinda defeating that purpose... Is this common in BBC polls? In the past BZP always had public poll results throughout contests. The practice of making the results hidden until the polls finish has been a recent development after a contest recently had some ... unsportsmanlike conduct happened due to voting being visible. It's a shame, because I liked being able to follow how entries were doing while voting is active. ~B~
  2. Entry number 10 is another really cool one that I hope to see in the finals. ~B~
  3. Entry number one is quite neat, misspelled name notwithstanding. I'm not sure how I managed to miss seeing it during the entry period. ~B~
  4. Although I like some of the Rahkshi more than others, entry number three was definitely the strongest one here. ~B~
  5. I like entry number eight quite a bit, so it got my vote. ~B~
  6. That Mata Nui is really cool. Honorable mention goes to Nuju, though. ~B~
  7. Voted for Gadunka. Ancient has some interesting sections, but overall I'm really not feeling it. ~B~
  8. Dume and Nivawk is the best entry in the whole contest, and easily got my vote here. ~B~
  9. Voted for Frost Hiver here, as it's a very creative entry. One of the best in the contest, I'd say. ~B~
  10. I also nulled here, as I didn't see an entry particularly worth voting for. ~B~
  11. None of the entries particularly struck me, so I nulled. ~B~
  12. King's Shield doesn't block status. You'll want a Pokemon with Protect to block everything. Why not something that can boost speed too, like Mega Mence? Tons of things will do better than Aegislash, really. Third Poke should at least be able to hit Shedinja. A Destiny Bond user would probably be good, given that the AI does not know how to stop it properly. You should give Durant an attacking move too. And obviously a whole different set if you Scarf it. ~B~
  13. Have you looked on the GTS for those Pokemon? It's probably likely that people with the other starters or fossils would be looking to trade those for ones you'd have. If you want a bug type that's not Scizor, what about Scolipede or Volcarona? They're both very good. Also, as you mentioned Mega Lucario, is this not for standard OU play? If it is, then you can't use him as he's an Uber. ~B~
  14. Poliwrath is an absurd Pokemon because physically the only difference between it and it's pre-evo is that it got angry. In what universe does that make it legitimately qualify as a different species? I agree that it's one of the single worst Mons. Also people still complaining about Klefki and Vanilluxe need to give a long hard look at Voltorb. ~B~
  15. Not such much, no. I'm not that big a fan of the films, and I haven't really experienced too much of music from the early media to be nostalgic about in the first place. ~B~
  16. Here's the BZP topic, which has a link to the BS01 quiz. ~B~
  17. Needle-nose pliers work amazingly for things like this. The tips are sufficiently small that you can partly insert one into the center of the pin to grasp it on one side and pull it out. ... I'm a bit surprised and repulsed people are actually suggesting using your teeth. ~B~
  18. It seems fairly obvious that a being wouldn't spring into existence with a cape attached. The simplest explanation would be that he picked it up somewhere, presumably from materials of the Matoran of Voya Nui. ~B~
  19. No, for which I am increasingly thankful. ~B~
  20. What. No, absolutely not. This makes zero sense. The proposed new powers are absurd, and I see no reason for a character to spontaneously lose powers to break things simply because they've switched from being a villain to a hero. Heroes have a need to break things frequently in fiction, for instance. ~B~
  21. That was pretty entertaining to read through, I must say. Well done. The Feghoot is an art that should see more use in BZP's Comedies forum. ~B~
  22. I thought the last thing he was looking for was the Metru Blue Matatu? Anyway, speaking of the Matatu, approximately how often do those (the misprint ones) go up on BrickLink? I'd be interested in getting a few, potentially. ~B~
  23. Given TVTropes' mantra of "There Is No Such Thing as Notability," along with the fact that anyone can edit it, that's not much of an endorsement, though. ~B~
