  1. That name generator is a pretty good idea to keep names clean, actually. I wonder if it's possible to get a name similar to Correct Horse Battery Staple. ~B~
  2. It's a mask, yo. You know, like Batman? Spiderman? Heck, masked characters in comics have been drawn with fully white eyes for about as long as superheroes have worn masks in comics. I assumed the presence of angry eyebrows meant they were supposed to be his actual eyes. Besides, with all those weird mutant superhero characters I would expect at least some have solid white eyes, right? ~B~
  3. The solid white eyes with a lack of pupils is quite unnerving. I also have no idea who this is in general, but that's beside the point. ~B~
  4. Yes, the new BZPower group does appear to be intended as a replacement for the other, older group, so it would make sense that the admins aren't logging in to check as frequently. I believe when I joined Flickr 3 years ago and wanted to join that group it took a few months, and that was about when the new BZP group was created. The admins of the older group are DeeVee, ChocolateFrogs, and Zenflow (who hasn't been active on BZPower in 3 years). You could message DeeVee or ChocolateFrogs on BZP about accepting you into the Flickr group. ~B~
  5. Yeah, pretty much all of Seregios's gear is the best available when you unlock him, so that's a good choice. Although Dual Swords chew through sharpness so fast that the auto-sharpening bonus on Seregios weapons is essentially wasted, I'm sure the raw is good enough for them to be worth it. Overall, though, the Seregios hammer, gunlance, and especially greatsword seem to be the best of his melee weapons. And all three of his gunner weapons are superb too. ~B~
  6. If circumstances were to have caused G2 to end, I'd probably just know when to fold 'em and stop with new iterations of Bionicle, honestly. ~B~
  7. So… From this I hope there could still be a shot at an Exo-Toa set. Not this year, but maybe in the future. The biggest obstacle to a modern-day Exo-Toa set is of course how wildly the new Toa's proportions vary. Even the original Exo-Toa required you to rebuild Onua and Pohatu if you wanted them to fit, but now with Onua's shoulders being about three times as wide as any of the other Toa's shoulders, there'd be an even greater challenge. The Toa still do have some consistency in their proportions, specifically in that the distance from the base of their torso to the top of their head is pretty much the same for all six. That, at least, gives you a starting point for figuring out how a G2 Exo-Toa would be proportioned. Given how much larger the new Toa are, a G2 Exo-Toa would also make a very large set. It would definitely be the largest set in the new line so far. As for different body types of the Toa, I presume an Exo-Toa would be most tailored toward Tahu, if anything. ~B~
  8. Tips for how to improve? Hmm, well there are a number of informational things like knowing monster hitzones to try and optimize damage, knowing numerically the highest-damaging combos for your favorite weapons, and so on. Otherwise in terms of direct gameplay, the main thing that I'd suggest is doing a lot of stuff solo, but your far progress in caravan indicates you're doing well on that front. What weapon classes have you been using so far? ~B~
  9. MST3K Mantra, people, MST3K Mantra. (Although I feel this is best directed at S&T as a whole. I'm surprised this topic isn't there, to be honest.) It's a tiny detail, and easily explained if you so desire by the combined facts of him being robotic, and it being a scope and not vision-correcting, so which eye is used wouldn't matter terribly. ~B~
  10. The quality of those photos is quite impressive. Thanks for sharing! They definitely have made me a lot more eager to acquire Skull Grinder and Ekimu, as well as Skull Basher. Also, Skull Warrior and Grinder's mask looks a lot more Terminator-esque than I had realized before. Maybe that's just me. ~B~
  11. I didn't even know this was possible! I thought those huge Nuva torsos were indestructible chunks! And you were only seven? ~B~
  12. Yeah, I sure hope X/Cross gets localized in the West. But with us getting 3U and 4U, and the apparent greater success of the latter, things are looking more likely. As for my progress in MH4U, I've currently just reached G1. I've definitely been taking my time in progressing there. And, actually, I'm currently replaying through high rank as I do quests with my brother, who's HR 5. Trying to get him some high rank Gore armor currently, as well as acquiring more Feeler+ for some of my own Gore weapons. We should definitely do some G-rank hunts sometime Blade! ~B~
  13. One thing to note is that individual searches are quite fast and of course list all relevant forums content. For instance, I searched for a MOC of mine from 2011, and it quickly came up. Another thing that can be done if it's your own content that you want to track is to use a specific tag for all of your threads you'll want to later find easily. I did this myself a couple of years ago when I realized a the content tab only went back a year. As you can see here, the Ballom tag turns up all of my tagged threads, going back to 2011. Useful! ~B~
  14. The Gonk droid? Anyway, given that Star Wars ultrabuild sets would no doubt be restricted to the new ultra-cut-down Star Wars canon (grumble grumble), I think most people have mentioned the ones I'd be interested in. Boba Fett would definitely be first, though. Sand green shells, oh yeah! ~B~
  15. Yeah, Monster Hunter! That video game which everyone and their mother plays in Japan but you can count the Western players on one hand! (Or you used to be able to, anyway.) Where you hunt giant fantastic creatures, defeat them, then wear them as a hat! Sooo tasty! Or, in all, a game franchise near and dear to my heart. It would have to be, for me to have poured at least 1200 hours total on it by now. And I know at least some members here play it, so I thought opening up a discussion topic would be a good thing. There's tons to talk about, be it the latest release in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, or, that new thing Capcom's been teasing us with, the forthcoming Monster Hunter X. ~B~
  16. Voted for 9 for being very clean and smooth, but also quite creative. Entries 1 and 4 were close behind it though. ~B~
  17. I voted for entry number three. A great likeness of Metalbeard and a very good MOC overall. ~B~
  18. And then you can have a wonderful career singing opera! As for myself, I'd probably pick a Makuta, if only for the boatload of powers, including shapeshifting, which means I could take any form I wanted, which would about be enough on its own without the other 41 or so other powers. ~B~
  19. To be honest, I'm not really that impressed with these. They just don't seem to fit the Lego aesthetic overall. Especially that helmet and dragon. Part of it may be everything being monochromatic as well, unlike many official accessories. ~B~
  20. Glad to hear the winner's still active to claim their prize! Congrats. ~B~
  21. I'd be inclined to make the Toa have equal gender ratios, with female Tahu and Onua, for reasons given in that older topic about changing the genders of the Toa. What exactly is this realism rule of statistics? I've never heard of it, and several searches online didn't turn anything up about it. ~B~
  22. Interesting to hear about Lego branching out with more Marvel sets. Although it sounds like the name of the movie will be problematic for Lego, given the rules it has against military themes... ~B~
