I'm stoked for Bionice Hammus. I hear he kills aliens and doesn't afraid of anything.

Kopaka: I work best with my friends
Pohatu: Is that because you prefer it that way or because you're a gosh darn swell guy who smells faintly of lilacs?
Sounds like a good start for a Pohatu/Kopaka fic.

I recognize the Star Trek symbols and the Star Wars era images (yay for including the Legacy of the Force symbol). Also, in addition to what others have said, there's the Rahkshi symbol too, and am I right in thinking the White Horse of Rohan is also there?

That should be "If Bionicle were", fyi.

Eh. Posture is for wimps.
Also, personal computing is probably one of the main causes. Don't you always slouch around when using a laptop?

And there was much rejoicing.
Of course, was there ever any doubt about a sequel?

Ah, great! Sounds good.I'm planning on tackling this and some other archival things fairly soon. Remind me in July during the BBC contest intermission.

I recall hearing something about the screenplay for Alien actually being written without deciding characters' genders, with that being chosen at the end, and Ripley specifically chosen to be a woman to balance gender in the movie.

I'm quite fond of the music from Metroid Prime, the whole trilogy. Very atmospheric tracks which set the mood for many areas and fights amazingly well. Some interesting contrasts between the best themes, Magmoor and Phendrana, Bryyo and Elysia...
Also, I'm a big fan of the soundtrack from Shadow of the Colossus. It's absolutely magnificent, and one of the many reasons why the game is a true work of art. The Opened Way, The Demise of the Ritual, and especially A Despair-Filled Farewell in particular are amazing. Definitely give SotC's soundtrack a listen if you haven't yet. Or, watch a playthrough of the game. Many of the tracks particularly resonate when you hear how they fit into their respective battles with the colossi.

Until a site fixes the bug, changing a password isn't necessarily the solution, though.

Okay. Play the Prime Trilogy instead of Super, then.

Sphere is a great book and I heartily endorse it. One of my favorite Michael Crichton books.

Nah, it was definitely the Super Rod. Those things are dengerous, man.

I see a pattern here. Except for #10, all of your top ten entries are mammals.
Species-ist much?

PRIMUS

I agree with this. Although Primus is someone else and he should come back too.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise. It certainly explains Mewtwo's bad hair day.
On the one hand, I'm really digging the improvements to Lucario and Absol, who look freaking sweet. Mawile and Ampharos gaining new types and abilities is great as well, since Ampharos looks very regal and Mawile looks pretty sinister now. I'll bet that their Mega forms see huge jumps in usage. I want them, at any rate.
On the other hand, while Mega Blaziken looks utterly awesome, there's not much that one can do to improve the fighting chicken anyway. Smogon's listed it as an Uber for quite some time; this just cements that status.

I think that Idris Elba's speech, while short, was quite inspiring and original -- who's ever said, after all that "we are cancelling the apocalypse"? It added a great dramatic moment to a very awesome movie. Say what you will about it possibly spawning memes; it certainly isn't a cliche.

I saw it on Sunday, and I agree with you 100%. Pacific Rim is one of the coolest action movies I've watched in a long time, the best movie I've seen since The Hobbit. And it blows Transformers completely out of the water.

What about Atlas Shrugged, for length, very polarizing philosophy, and the longest monologue in the English language?

Oh yeah, this guy is awesome. I am probably going to get him on a team with Chespin on one of the two games (I haven't figured out which one yet). Here's hoping he evolves into a mantis shrimp. Because while a frog Ben Franklin is indeed a great idea, it's hard to beat a mantis shrimp.

They're a pretty cool band with some good songs. You know, I actually got to meet Mick Fleetwood last summer when my family and I ate at his new restaurant in Lahaina, Maui. He was a nice guy, just didn't smile much.

Spurious correlation much?

I don't understand the point of these games.

I expect they're to try and make people feel clever.

Alternately, to laugh at those who can't identify letters.

Congratulations, you've found Wikipedia.
Also: contraction? Sounds like overzealous autocorrect.
