  1. FINAL COUNT! xccj: 7 Underscore: 1 Toa Smoke Monster: 1 Dio Brando: 6 Shard the Gemknight Toa: 1 The scene will be up in a few minutes. DAY ONE The crowd gathered at the ice cream parlor, united by a common goal. The detective stood horrified as the gathered crowd eventually decided to place the blame on xccj, agreeing to kill him. Unable to stop the proceedings, the Detective stood silently in the corner, judging those he deemed guilty. xccj was led up to the ice cream bar, where he was offered some customary last words. "I didn't do it! What kind of world are we coming to where a guy can't even get a late night ice cream snack without being accused of a crime!" Unconvinced, the gathered crowd decided to kill him anyway. Opening the door to the freezer, they grabbed a few tubs of ice cream and locked xccj inside. They spent a few hours toasting their decision making before pulling the frozen body out of the freezer and searching it. The mood turned sour when they realized there was nothing linking xccj to the Mafia... xccj (Matoran) lynched day 1. All nighttime roles have until midnight tomorrow night to PM me!

  7. Thank you for that Potoo, I'm on mobile so checking those details are very hard right now.
  8. Well, I thought I had set the cutoff at midnight, but I actually set if for 8 am. Whoops. Anyway, on with the show! The night was a fitful one for the residents of the city. It was hot and dry, and many had trouble sleeping. Among them Fishers64 was having particular trouble. She decided to take a walk to clear her mind, and ended up at a 24 hour ice cream parlor down the street. A few other people had the same idea, and so the place was crowded when fishers suddenly started choking. Struggling to breath, she just barely managed to realize that the ooze dripping from her taco ice cream really shouldn't have been green... When suddenly, in a flash of whate lab coat, the Medical Student hopped the ice cream bar and ran up to the dying fishers. "I have the antidote!" He cried, brandishing a syringe. He took a blood sample from fishers64 before giving her the antidode, saving her life. The whole place breathed a sigh of relief before the Detective cleared his throat. "It's plain to me that we're dealing with an attempted murder here. I believe we have a gang of organized crime on our hands, and I plan to get to the bottom of it!" With that, he turned and left the shop. Everyone left agreed that it was in their best interests to lynch somebody. THE SUSPECTS. xccj Toa Smoke Monster Dio Brando Underscore Shard the Genknight Toa You will have 24 hours to vote!
  9. IC: Ohen walked up to Stark Tower, surprised to find a group of angry protesters gathered. They held signs with slogans like 'Down With Stark' and 'Stark = Hydra'. His eyes narrowed as he pushed his way to the front of the crowd, planting himself at the base of the steps to the tower. "Excuse me!" He cried, waving his arms to gain the attention of the crowd. "What's all this supposed to be about?! You blame a whole company, an entire group for the actions of one? How is this fair? What kind of world do we live in where innocent people are held responsible for the crimes of others?! Put down your sign, go home, find another cause to fight for!" So caught up with defending the legacy of one of his idols, Ohen didn't notice the crowd seeming to get more and more angry with his interruption...
  10. I love the idea for this, but have a couple of questions regarding Force users and possible powers. If one were to start as an Inquisitor, they would appear to have some Dark Side training, and some abilities already. Would there be chances for Light Side users to get the same? Perhaps not at the beginning, but finding someone to train with and help hone their abilities? Or will Light Side users not be available to start? As for abilities, will we be able to use powers that say, were only briefly mentioned in a book? I ask because I vaguely remember an old Star Wars RP in which I asked to use the Force Item Teleport ability mentioned in one of the early novels, and was very strongly told no because I claimed it was a canon ability and the GM disagreed.
  11. A storm was brewing in the city. Not a literal storm mind you, the city was in fact in the midst of a great drought. Other than that though, it was quite nice. Blue skies, warm air, bustling markets-- Sorry. A storm was brewing in the alleys and sewers of the city. The Horde had arrived. Not the whole thing mind you, just five scouts and the queen, looking to set up base. But the rest were on their way, oh yes! The Queen smiled slyly at her minions, rubbing her hands together as she went over a map of the city. "The webs are up, yes? We'll need them to communicate." A spider chattered an affirmative to her delight. "Good, good! Now, we'll have to move at night, in the darkness. Daytime has too much going on, after the disaster of Metru Nui, we need to be smarter. Tonight... We strike! ----------------------------------- The Detective stepped out of the station with a sigh, putting on his old-timey fedora and huddling further into his old-timey trenchcoat. He took it off a moment later, it was WAY too hot for that. He thought about the day he'd had, lamenting the fact that, as the newest member of the force nobody would take him seriously. He'd have to land a big case, and soon. Pulling a lollipop out of his pocket, he popped it in his mouth, attacking it with such vigor that the end began to smoke. He thought back to that gang that'd come in, and the information he'd managed to get out of them between musical numbers and impressive choreography. There was a new gang on the streets, one that had kicked the misunderstood, singing/dancing youths out of their sewer homes... And he'd find them. And they'd be his ticket to respect! ---------------------------------- The Med Student kicked a pebble on the sidewalk, mentally cursing his choice in research projects. He'd thought Visorahk would be simple, after all they had attacked Metru Nui, an island famous for their painstaking record keeping. But it seemed nobody had been around to record anything, as all the Onu-Metru archives had were anecdotes and a couple poorly preserved artifacts. He had found one important thing however, a viable sample of venom. With it, he'd managed to create what he theorized was an antivenin for the spiders, but without live subjects he couldn't tell. He looked up at the sky, ready to curse Mata Nui for his own mistakes, when something caught his eye. Some kind of cables, but they hadn't been there earlier. Out of his pack he pulled the eyepice of an Akaku, 'borrowed' from the theater department. Peering through the telescopic lens, he gasped as he saw the cables were actually thick strands of webbing, just like... The Visorahk. Leaping for joy, the Student ran down the street, looking to see where the webs might lead. If the monsters were in the city, they might infect people, and then he could test out his antivenin! This was the best day ever! ----------------------------- Night 1 has begun! All nighttime roles will have until 8 AM (MST) Janurary 19 to PM me their decisions!

  18. Welcome welcome, to the newest game on the block, yet another Mafia game! Signups are currently CLOSED, though I encourage you all to give the page a glance! Mafia: Web Of Shadows! *Wait, like the movie? No, not like the movie, this is something else entirely.* In the far-off city of BeeZeetru, civilization thrives. Tall gleaming buildings, mostly punctual public transportation, streets only half filled with forgotten trash, truly a paradise! But for every shining metropolis, a seedy underbelly forms. Seeing potential for new nesting grounds, a Visorahk queen and her brood have moved into the city, displacing the local misunderstood youths and singing-dancing misanthropes in favor of their own, Mafia-style gang. Since the failure of Metru-Nui, the insects have been trying different tactics, and this may be their most subtle. Using specialized Visorahk, empowered by the Queen herself, they hope to recruit some in the city to their ranks, twisting the unfortunate residents to their will and killing those who oppose them. *So... A sequel to the movie? No, this is different. It's not a movie, it's a game. So... An adaptation of the movie? ... Stop talking.* However, there may be unexpected opposition in the city... Exterminators, bug hunters, a pharmacy student who's studying Visorahk venom for his PhD, and a secret detective all stand in the way of the dark web. Even some, who may be a secret for now could prove to be either friend or foe to the Mafia... Roles: Each role will have certain special abilities (and some may even have their own win conditions!) unique to them, which will be explained in further detail later on in the game. Mafia-aligned roles: Queen: The head of the swarm, she makes final decision during the nights. Visorahk (x5): The grunts, these can suggest targets and plans, and each have their own abilities. Town-aligned roles: Detective: An elusive figure, he skulks around at night, searching for suspicious activity and keeping detailed notes about his findings. Med student: Knows just enough about the Visorahk venom to be able to reverse the effects in a short period of time. Bug hunters (x2): A pair of vigilantes, these two hunters will take to the streets if they have any suspicions. Exterminators (x3): Simple workmen, these trap-layers know how to proof their houses against infestations. Lookout: A nosey Nelly, this person likes to hide in the bushes and see who gets visitors. Lovebirds (x2): Just a couple of Matoran in love! Villagers (x9): Misunderstood youths and singing-dancing misanthropes. Rules: 1: All BZP rules apply. 2: No revealing roles. 3: One vote switch may be used per-person per-vote. Switches must be posted in BOLD CAPS or they will be ignored. 4: Town wins when all Mafia have been killed or jailed, Mafia wins when all of town is gone. 5: Though the roles look a bit barebones, each has a detailed secret to them, which will be revealed as the game goes on. *What, that's not a rule, it's a comment! Hush you, where was I supposed to put it?* Spots: 1: Quisoves Potoo Matoran, Killed night 2 2: Pilgrim Shadow 3: Festive Australovenator 4: Underscore 5: Shard the Gemknight Toa 6: 7: Rahkshi Guurahk ??? 20. So, do people think I should post signups now, or wait for tomorrow?
  21. Okay, so I've changed a couple things here, took out some of the role explanations to keep a mystery to it, any final feedback? EDIT: ... I have no idea how to work the 'more' tag. 23. ... That detective is not welcome in my museum next time I host a show. Puns are the lowest form of art. But yeah, I vote Nik.
  24. If there's nobody else waiting to host the next side game, Web of Shadows could be ready by the time Heist of the Centuries finishes.
  25. Whoops wait, I can fix that! Uh... Uh... Dampsad, I guess.
