It's Tuesday, You Know the Drill
Rahkshi Lalonde replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
as if i wouldn't know The Drill! (maybe i'll vote on this... maybe i'll actually find time to watch the tuesday streams, maybe...) -
Dont forget Roodaka, she used rahkshi heads on her chest in a very *ehemm* feminine way I will forgive Roodaka's massive pectorals before i forgive her high-heel feet and sculpted buttocks. :T

Set Review: 71310 Umarak the Hunter
Rahkshi Lalonde replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
okay so idk if anyone noticed before but does Umarak's mask look... broken, to anyone else? like, between the melty-toxic-green transition, the asymmetry, and the ragged, hagged forms, it looks almost like the poor fool is in need of a new mask! (maybe he was outcast into the jungle from the city for some reason? O: ) -
did someone give me chance to rag on NUVA-SHOULDER-ARMOUR-BOOBS? no? oh well. (also in a similar vein there's a thigh design goin round to accessorize the nuva-chests, but i've ragged on that enough in the past...)

prooooobably because it was a clone of Rotor's gas-gun from his set. :u

i'll admit, i was hesitant, but Ninjago outdoes itself again! the mix of classic aerial combat and pirates is both evident, and well-blended! also the dragons being more diverse in structure these days w/ their brick-built heads is neat, (plus, did anyone else catch that creative use of the drill element as a rock spire? nice!)

sounds like thy may be run by a guy with square orange hair and a business suit. :b (also i totally agree, some of the distinctions here are arbitrary enough, we really don't need to subdivide any more forums. O: )

judging by the ROSS preview, it seems that we have canon comfirmation that multiple generations passed since Ekimu and Makuta died/fell into a coma! (dunno, should that be in spoiler tags? most assumed it already but confirmation is nice, no more populations of thousand-year amnesiacs!)

Were the "ladies" notessentially genderless robots, you could have persuaded me. I think the phrase you meant is "sexless" since though they lack physical characteristics, matoran /do/ have a notable sense of gender, but i digress. I've always found Voya, Mahri, and Karda nui p cool, but idk if i'd want to /live/ in any of them so much as visit for the sights. o: like most other people, one of the villages on Mata-Nui probably seems the nicest place to live, probably... Onu-Koro, Onu-Koro is cool and pretty!

Why so much hate for Nuva Masks?
Rahkshi Lalonde replied to Rahkshi Lalonde's topic in Bionicle Discussion
finally responding to this! that's a lotta neat opinions n whatnot, tbh it helps when i try to tackle these issues to be able to sort em all out so here i am with top-concern! the kaukau nuva! which people are saying doesn't look much like it's predecessor. o: i unfortunately, have to disagree and shall display the front-shot mages BS0! so helpfully kees stocked: vs well first off, i can say that BS01 has a FAR too large kaukau-nuva image, but i digress. main point is, as someone who owns both masks and has nothing but time, i spend a LOT of time comparing the Kaukau to it's nuva version and came to the conclusion: the kaukau nuva is indeed a kaukau but with smoothed out edges and no visor! (sorry if this is kinda hasty and rambl-y it's 12:40 oops...) Edit: also of note- the veins on the cheeks of the hau nuva line up with the slits on the hau, the crest on the pakari nuva's forhead and cheeks also represent the slits, and you're all honestly right about the akaku nuva, it is kinda terrible compared to the others. x:- 63 replies

(okay i ticked the poll box, i'm pretty sure this should be a poll? if not oops.) So, i've been looking around and noticed there seems to be a general agreement of dislike for.... the Kanohi Nuva? and i was thinking not too long ago, why? from my knowledge, the Kanohi Nuva were designed to look like th original six Kanohi, only they'd been stretched, warped, and molded into new, broader forms by the Energised Protodermis, and they capture the look! (plus they're the kanohi with the smoooothest curves and forms, like well-carved & polished wood!) so i'm asking here, do you hate the Kanohi Nuva, and if so, why? o:

Join BZPower's Jango Fett Parts Draft
Rahkshi Lalonde replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
you say that like you don't want ten Jango heads for your various Jango-themed MOC purposes. :b -
IC: Rose [infirmary] She blinked a few times, then responded, "Ah" She said, and she pushed herself from the bed, "Th-thanks." Rose made her way to the door and stuck her head out into the hall, scanning for rahkshi. She had been reckless in that last fight it seems, she made a (temporary) note to not let that happen again.

What Makes G2 Bionicle BIONICLE?
Rahkshi Lalonde replied to Erasmus Graves's topic in Bionicle Discussion
The evil villainy of a jealous Makuta threatens all that these tiny robot-villagers hold dear, only their mask-wearing tall people from the sky can save them using their masks of power, and UNITY. sounds like the same-ol bionicle to me. o: -
Least Favorite Parts of the Movies?
Rahkshi Lalonde replied to Naota Takizawa's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
Not at all like his portrayal the books and other works. I mean, come on! In The Mutran Chronicles, that pragmatic Makuta counts the horde-king's death as a loss to the Brotherhood's assets. In the film, Sidorak was portrayed as too incompetent - and the Makuta are careful of whom they appoint to lead their armies. Anyway, books trump films! true, to be fair i never read the books so i have no knowledge of book-sidorak, might be why i feel so comfortable with movie-sidorak. o: granted i'm also quite fond of the "A simple game of kohlii" scene, and if i had to say the worst parts of the films i'd say it's probably a mix of how some lines are delivered, and some of the awkward early CGI o: oh, and huge purple malum. though i can't tell if that's terrible or perfect. -
Set Review: 71302 Akida - Creature of Water
Rahkshi Lalonde replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
huh, i still like kida but, not too sure i like exactly how far away from th body the shooter are, the boxart made em look closer. :0 still, p cool and totally reminded me of the Takea at a glance! (tbh if we didn't have the unity thing requiring same-heads, i bet it'd have the jaws feature!) also it's blue and i'm a SUCKA for blue. -
Set Review: 71309 Onua - Uniter of Earth
Rahkshi Lalonde replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
like others have said, Onua is pretty good, except for his generaly lanky-ness (this kong even has a funny face, oh no.) also i woul liek to point out here, since we've finally seen the new body build, is that Onua (and presumably all the Uniters) has a /more/ technic-based build than any comparative canister-size set did in G1 bionicle's entire run! (pointing out because people always call G1 bionicle "technic-based-builds" when that really only applie to the titan-size sets...) anyway, i hope we get a non-turntable armless-torso beam, for use with the gearbox n whatnot. (if what i've seen is correct, Star Wars constraction is keeping the gearbox mold warm while Bionicle tests this new function out. u: ) -
IC: Rose [infirmary] "Y-y-yeah, you!" The scarred rahklshi pointed a claw at Acinaces, "Who ARE you, and... where are we..?"
