yeah the dark tan is bad, espec since pohatu already has three colors. three, relatively bright colors (if you count the silver's metallicism as being bright. o: ) but anyway, it's also his toros color which is garbage, because the main color is always going to be the torso color, and if not, it at least needs to be more common on the rest of the model!

hm, idk, we got an update for all the 2014 Chima and HF parts p proper, and, unliek retro bonkles, these are current and up-to-date parts, so, i expect, in good time, we will get the 2015 parts added to the LDDatabase. o: (shush, i'm an optimist.)

Unfortunately, i didn't get a christmas this year, you see- Makuta, the Mask Hoarder, had already stolen it!

You don't like her feet? That's one of the reasons I like the set (that and the thigh design), although I never thought of them as high-heels. I don't hate her feet per se, but i do hate the "femininity" she harkened in, notably there are many examples that i'm preeeeeeeeetty sure i can't mention here that follow in her obviously high-heeled footsteps. :t

Did you really get two more Tahus since i last saw you? (okay i may have noticed you with two, but THREE?) nyway, yep, p much my feelings: not enough red, too much gold, top-heavy with mismatched textures... the fact his weapon-choice stayed the same is neat though, much better than, say, pohatu. o:

...why would you ignore an intended feature? the chest-gun is part of Korgot! o: Anyway, apparently peopel like Titan-Mata-Nui, i still don't see how that's possible. x:

eugh, so far i am not liking the 2016 toa, (Umarak n the creatures do pretty well though, Ketar is awkward but it tries...) Opinion time: Tahu- Overpowering metal color, even if it is a vibrant one, lack of primary color (red) and attempt to substitute tr-neon orange in its place, thighs too thin, still probably the best-looking toa this wave. Onua- feet don't match, torso looks lanky compared to last-year's, his creature doesn't add much, overall fairly consistant, a fair design... Kopaka- Discordant colorscheme, randomly swithed handedness, upper-arms too thin for lower-arms thickness, creature doesn't add much. Gali- overall kinda nice, though metal-color still overpowers, orange vorox-armour looks out-of-place, weapon is bizzare and overworked. Pohatu- Discordant colorscheme, lower-arms double-up on the same tr-color, which is always bad, but this time it's a flour color so it's worse. Creature adds /too much/ weapon is kinda odd. and Lewa- Metal-color WAY too prevelant, colors look fine but they're too dulled down by all the silver, needs a shade of yellow, shoulders kinda awkward and close together. overall complaint would be the silver-blend masks are kinda weird-looking the torsos are all same-ey, and i don't like half the weapons. These toa look good for parts, and sometimes even passable on their own, but i don't really like this wave compared to same-time-last-year. :t

Considering the theme still has bright primary colors, masks that look like the characters they're meant to represent, and unique and original builds, I think comparisons to the Mistika are misplaced. The silver on the Mistika was hardly their worst feature—heck, it was probably the one thing that they carried over from the original Toa Nuva depictions. The color schemes may have been bland but that was more due to combining the silver with the dark and dingy Metru colors, which is a big part of why I preferred the more brightly-colored Phantoka. Despite all intent, i wouldn't call the bright green the "bright primary color" given it covers less of his body than the silver does, which, by the way, was the only thing i was pointing out when i referred to the mistika. (of note though is the Phantoka colorschemes weren't much better, despite having bright colors, they still mostly fell secondary to their neutral-tone, Grey. :t)

that lil red flag is a nice nod to good ol MNOLG methinks. u: (the model sorta suffers for trying to pertray a mountainside in such a confined space but it's still neat!)

the custom limb stuff is neat-o-beans, seeing the '15='16 comparison pic and feeling the Mistika creeping back up on us? not neat-o-beans. :t

thanks! tbh i was originally aiming for bigger, and as gonan use mantax feet of all tihngs, but then i saw my (woefully singular) black metru pauldron and relaized that's basically the tie-est bionicle part there is!

I do have to say this is probably my opinion on the subject too, they build them up as being so powerfull with all those rahkshi powers n whatnot (actually, habing all the rahkshi powers is one of the few things i dislike about the makuta but whatever) and then when they show the eight makuta in karda-nui they're practically pushovers! I just warmed up to the karda-nui Makuta pretty quickly because they're vampires, bionicle vampires. u:

^Gallery^ Don't have many good parts for small-detail greebly stuff like SW is known for, i also don't have much knowledge of SW as a whole, what i do have is black, and what i do knwo of is TIE fighters! Front Side Back Pew Pew Assembly Body Assembly Wing I'm not too sure which TIE design i'm channeling here, it's probably all of them? oops. (in truth, the half-red is cuz i lost my other black pauldron, but thankfully, they made a red-banded TIE in the new film, so...)

oh wow, the fullsize elemental dragons this year really make that baby-dragon one-piece sculpt look really, really bad. x: (also, busto, busto is jsut so much, so perfect.)

I'm gonna be boring n say that it's either running on the old Bionicle rule of "only toa/legnedary figures can use the power" OR it could just be really really taboo for a normal ol villager to wear a sacred object like that, OR extending off the first one, it might actually be impossible to wear an elemental mask of such power, they might just get fried like an indiana jones villain. o:
