  1. Ninjago seems to have a very.... lax sense of continuity, thigns happen, the ninja solve them, any side effects are unquestioned and may occasinally idssapear into a gaping plot wound before it hastily seals itself up over the object in question, leaving numerous plot-cysts in its wake... idk where i was going with that but the point is, i love Ninjago for this reason.
  2. Dissassembe, build garbage, reassemble for nostalgia, dissassemble, build garbage, etc.
  3. Lego shows their business strategy by releasing CHI Fluminox twice with only a one-year gap! incredible!
  4. Zib 50678.2 has no sense of consent and disgusts me deeply, a bad reality for sure.
  5. IC: Snap [Library] She set the book down gently and shrugged, "Sure? I mean, I feel okay okay, at least." OOC: (sorry for the delay. x: )
  6. Ninjas are angry 100% of the time though, it's how they stay stealthily hidden, through RAGE alone!
  7. hm, the labyrybth of control looks... modular. (weren't we gonna get another app/game? cuz i thiiink i can predict what the stages'll beeeeee... x: )
  8. huh, the bios from last year's characters are still up despite the site overhaul, could it be LEGO actually decided to keep all story ifno where it can be easily seen? O: EDIT: HOLY SMOKES! Akida- provides a boost in Wisdom, has a silver mask/face. Melum- Provieds a boost in Valor, has a gold face/mask/whatever. you know what this (probably coincidentally) means?
  9. I propose literally any post i make that is more than a paragraph long, i do not do well with long strigns of text and they hurt my head to read in the morning after i type them, why did i say that? i don't remember those quotes, who the heck is checking my spelling?? oops. x:
  10. I managed to enter every, single, buidling contest in the year for once, and also got to maneuver a buncha rahks around in the RPG forum all while my computers died like, six times in a row. oops!
  11. black/tr-red "overcharged" or "corrupt" MoCr for umarak to inevetably have on his face while he's brain-bending the animals, blended like tahu-nuva's poison mask? idk, sounds like it'd be neat. x: (heck, gold and tr-red would work easily for the same effect...)
  12. oopsie-daisy! holiday happenings scrambled my schedule, sorry for the delays! O: (i'm probably back now though.)
  13. step one: give Narmoto poseable custom hands step two: wrap them around tahu's golden swords while they're on his back step three: throw both of them onto a real, active volcano that's how you do that scene from the webisodes. :u
  14. honestly i have the exact opposite feeling, where unquestioned canon is overhauled in favor of a "cooler" or "edgier" revelation, it's always so out there it's actually almost become predictable, and is almost never a change for the best. :t
  15. FUSION is jsut a cheap tactic to make weak toa stronger. they're unity-fusion masks, for uniting with ancient guardians of the elements (the creatures) o:
  16. the faces in the storyboards, crude as they may be, are gold, so much expression is caught with those vaguely nightmarish, fleshy features that the final robotic looks can sort of lack u:
  17. i don't recall buying many dupes, given my sparse cash funds as is, but when i was younger, somehow, i just kept getting THOK as a gift, like, i got Irnakk, who contains thok, then i got a thok, then, a year or so later... another thok! (to be fair i got a similar number of vezoks, and two avaks, gosh, piraka have a lot of useless parts to have more than one of. x: )
  18. What about Orde? No psionic toa appeared in-canon.
  19. i'll be honest here, Bionicle kidna had a habit of "killing the sorcerer" as it were, by constantly attempting to drain all the mysticisms and majycks from it's lore and replace them with "mutations", "programs", "glitches", and "plans", all sorts of stuff that was put there, by some sort of force (great beings are an example of this, the latest in a line of 'false gods" who each made eachother...) and so we went from "the power of the golden masks!" to "the mask is a magnetic protodermis shape made from [x kanoka] and [x kanoka] when worn, it unlocks a mental link that lets users tap into it's energy well for a period of time, if the mask is removed for too long, the user will sufer a series of side effects, including, but not limited to, nausea, blood loss, flakey skin, etc etc etc" and it's not only no fun and confusing, it's also not even neccesary! why can't gali just be a psychic? like, every other story can seem to get away with "she's the one who's good with emotions!" without going into the exact reasoning why (they may go into the general reasoning, but never to the point that beings with fully functional minds need be "glitched" to have it!) like, idk, maybe i'm ranting, but i'm kinda tired of the idea that these are just robots that need weird malfunctions to be special, instead of people that sometimes jsut turn up tha way, My proposition: Gali has a mental-link ith Takua and is seen meditating? she probably trained in the way of psionics back when the toa were made! (more compatible if Psionics is not considered an element, not too far a step since no psionic toa appeared in-canon.) or vakama? he has vague visions of the future? easy, he's jsut a seer, all there really is tbh. he sees. o: anyway, poorly-worded rant over, oops. x:
  20. hELP, these are all so charming and great! also, i'm a sicker for books that read like the book was reading to you. u:
  21. Pohatu's weakness was "can't swim" and Lewa's 'weakness' was "too many jokes", so they weren't all strictly tied to elements (see Onua and vision) "can't swim" feels like an obviously elemental weakness to me, given Hewkii suffered from it too, and it's failry tied, at least symbolically, to "sinking like a stone" o:
  22. I do hate her feet! She's a perfect example of why later titans needed pistons for added support. Roodaka's feet were supporting a lot of weight and lost friction VERY easily. They may have looked passable, but they were not a good design as far as stability was concerned. oh, yeah true, that too. besides being there for "the femme fatale~" her tiny tiny girlie-feet were tryign to hold up a LOT of topheavy Titan bulk. o: (still, the design is p well made, but, still...)
  23. yawn. tbh, the original bionicle story isn't as good as a lot of folks think, and it's not really anyone's fault, there's jsut this weird thing called "nostalgia" that can impact people's ability to see certain, glaring flaws in the way something was handled in their immediate past. o: it is, admittedly, still a fine and dnady story, especially for a kids' toyline! but, to be brutally honest, it often times tried to be something it wasn't, and that hurt it, a lot. :0
