ah, I love the smell of faux-depth-in-G1-bionicles-nostalgia in the morning.. that is, i really really don't. was original flavor bionicle compelling? yeah, i suppose, but more in the sense of the world and the scale of the cast/locations, than it was in "theme" the original theme of bionicle was an analogy for modern medicine, which got sorta blurry with some of the things inserted halfway through, and was only revealed near the end, bionicle G2 seems to have taken alot of design cues, but i'm pretty sure it ditched the medical theme, which might be what's leaving some people wanting, though again, it may take a while for a unifying flavor to show it's true face. o:

Bionicle's back, which is pretty sweet, didn't expect it at all tbh. the gear functions return without detracting from the figure's overall articulation, which is cool. there's a heavier technic integration in sets of ALL sizes than was ever seen in all but the vehicle/2004 titan sets of old. the new mask attatchment system means characters can actually have faces! ugly faces, but still! the pieces are pretty stylin, as is the colors. set diversity, they all look very nice and very different from each other, while still being recognizably "bionicles" Okoto is really really really pretty...

ah yeah, underworld sounds like it could be promising (especially if it's the "Makuta's Tomb" storyline i predicted, fingers-crossed!)

Once i saw at one of those Lego center/store places, in a brick-building bin for kids (i was a kid), Nokama Hordika's left arm, like, everything else was a common system brick but.. Nokama's left arm...

I could see Ekimu being at odds with the Toa when it comes to morals later on, and i feel that route might actually be more complex and character-driven then him being either controlled by makuta, or just sneaky and evil inside. o: All these years and he's still a backstabbing traitor... BIG BIN and, lots of small bins for small, hard to find bits. and, whatever's built at the time just stands around on whatever surface is open enough.

there (sorta) was an insectoids reboot, or some equivilent, albiet a bit more sinister in design...

remidns me, where the, uh, (can i say "heck" here? i forgot...) anyway, where's the idea it's getting "possibly cancelled soon maybe" coming from? i keep hearing that but it's got a minimum three-year-run? if it gets canned after 2017 that's not "soon" and i don't recall any official-like announcements or profit-charts or anything, at best we got the "a friend of a friend of a Lego employee says the line's gonna end soon" and tbh, people say that about any Lego theme they dislike...

hm, the pinholes lack the outer "rim" that keeps pins in, might wanna look into that before 3-D printing anything. though that is a very convincing rahkshi staff-head, makes me nostalgic big time! O:

yeah i've... heard of these exploits can't really speak positively about them to be quite honest (a tbqh) but... can't call em despicable either. a little grating sometimes yeah but this is, a fansite for a childrens' toy, so, all judgements are a little unfounded...

Holy Run-on sentence batman, remind me not to read posts here when i have a headache, oog. x: but tbh i don't get this idea? removing Bionicle from its LEGO roots? how is that really gonna help much if at all? Bionicle exists because of the figures, which are generally conceived before most of the story complexities and are basically the only reason we know what most characters definitively look like at all! (reminder that any non-figure character got Greg's ever-ready 'descriptions' like "looked like a vortixx, but not really" or, "was blue and green, with a robot arm.", thanks,Greg.) I'm honestly not quite sure where the idea of Bionicle being deep or complex, or "deserving better" came from, it was, yeah, bigger than most Lego themes were but, to be fair the only other major story-based themes back then were Knights Kingdom II and Alpha-Team, not really much competition...

But... isn't makuta's lair (where jaller was revived) inside the "skin" of the universe? it is quite a distance below the island, and is below the "shell-like" barrier below Onu-koro o:

Actually, i think it was said (can't remember which canon material) that NUparu made worse robocops before the vahki, and those did terrible terrible things to several matoran before he ousted them in favor of the, surprisingly, tamer vahki. though again, i can't recall where i read that, but it was one of the metru combi-models.

Alas I am but a simple being, robots. honestly that's really all it took? me beign a fan of Lego and there being cool robots? I'm admittedly easy to please. x:

It's almost as if there's too many popular Disney characters to fit in one minifigures series. Also, Baymax and Hiro are on the border line between Disney-Disney and Marvel-Disney. It honestly doesn't surprise me that they aren't included. Plus, i'm preeeetty sure Baymax would be a Bigfig, he's too big. o:
