    Yeah this feels like one of those oversights more than anything, Bionicle had issues with the direction its story took and some things suffered for that, I do believe we were initially supposed to just label all animal life as "rahi" and not think so deep, then 2008 made it all confusing...

    yeah it is probably derived from something else, a plant or rahi, the Rama-Hive seemed to be made of some sort of stone, or protodermis. rather than a beeswax o: (and as others have said, there is no way matoran were gonna voluntarily go near that thing...)

    LAY-wa or LEE-wa as i see fit q: ah-new-a (to distinct from oh-noo-a, seriously who does that in the first year of a franchise? it's like having a guy named Optimus Preyem.) and though i know it is "jall-a" i will use "yalla" "jaller" "yaller" or whatever else i feel like because whatever.

    whoopsie, my internet (literally) blew up and i have been out, good thing i write reclusive and uninteresting characters! i'll make a snap post whenever, and see if those other things i wrote about can make themselves less zombie-like in the process. now, to read the probable 10 pages since i left...

    one black armor add-on per large set, new color w/ a small influx pool is pain xox (but i am glad they found away to keep that mold in the system, we are still missing one metal color and other colors couldn't hurt too!)

    i gotta agree with ya about the wishing for more open building, but i was at a glance of the title assuming you had missed the fact that the factory was the big fin shaped thing, which would have been a herculean task to do.

    geez i was coming in here to check up and possibly say "sorry for the delay on the one (1) character i have in any interaction, life got in the way" and i arrive to this xox tho this does have me worrying again about how well i myself present my characters, i never claim to be good at RP but still...

    lack of money meant i missed most of the sets myself but i did keep up with the, uh, story(?) kind of lackluster there to be honest and it really got worse as time ticked on, set quality only went up really though so it was okay as a LEGO theme, which are usually not known for having stellar stories as is. I also did weird stuff with it despite not being super into it, i guess? 0:

    Really? Because in the 2015 animations, Kopaka is absolutely savage to everyone for no reason. Then in Journey to One, he became the comic relief. And Pohatu probably had more personality in Journey to One than he had in all of Generation 1. I will agree though that everyone else ended up feeling pretty flat, but I guess this series was meant to be more action-focused than some of the more character-driven stories of Gen 1. If i may though i will take this time to point out that aside from the toa mata and metru (who had somewhat reasonable if not simple characters, metru being deeper and more alive than mata tbh...) Greg really only knew how to write, at most, four characters, and he just repeated them. a lot. ugh.

    I entered my offering just in time (had to read the instructions a few times to be sure i wasn't gonna mess it up, classic anxieties, fun!) but i am preeeetty sure my building style is way outclassed in these flickr contests >o>

    I was gonna describe where Bionicle left off to see how that could be worked off and explain why that would be awful, but i couldn't even remember where all the characters were at so i gave up. (and before it is said, even if it is a far future continuation, you gotta make mentions to keep the continuation stuff, and that still opens the rabbit-hole-space-vortex that is having to explain how two giant robots fighting on a shattered world is the end result of a tribal island cultures attempts to save their dying deity from their shadow-demon, who is in reality a megalomaniac vampire scientist/overseer, and that is just its own can of worms tbh.

    man the cordak blaster is, to this day, the bane of m existence, 207 was apparently the year of "make launchers that are good in theory but then muck up execution", I learned about the groove tricks early 2009, about when i learned how they fixed this sorta thing with the nynrah ghostblaster, but those tiny missiles are still kinda a pain to use, plus the launcher itself. big, chunky, has that gross ball needlessly protruding in an attempt to lower the parts count of sets but all it really does is break off which makes the launcher basically useless cuz broken pieces are frowned on by the community.... yeah. i kinda had issues with them, even after i learned to fire them (and squids) right. :0
