  1. I voted with the majority in each case it seems. I want to story on Spherus Magna as a link to the rest of the story, but would like the focus of the story to be on something fresh and exciting. As for the serials I think finishing them as a side project would please people the most.
  2. Well I was going to say Time Trap, but to be different I'm going to say my other favourite - Legacy of Evil, was awesome seeing that backstory and was actually quite emotionally charged I thought.
  3. While I do like all the teams in some way or another, I can't not say my favourite overall team was the Mata/Nuva - for me they felt like the most solidly contrsucted with the most time to fit into their roles. They each had a distinct place in the team which felt relevant - some of the later teams tended to have characters that were sidelined more or felt less distinct. That being said my second favourite would be the Inika I think, they had a cool origin story and I also liked the way they functioned as a group and their journey they went through together.
  4. Compared to those sites, in the past at least, it always seems like BZPower has gotten somewhat special treatment, more collaborations and contact from TLC, at least with respect to Bionicle specifically. I don't recall BZP getting much special treatment during Bionicle's run, save for being personally contacted when Bionicle ended. I certainly don't remember free sets being a thing as much as they are now. I can't really see how BZP is treated any better than, say, Eurobricks. They certainly both seem to reap most of the same benefits, just with BZPower putting more effort into earning TLG's trust. My memory is fuzzy on this but I vaguely remember BZP being the first go to source on projects like the 2006 Bionicle video game for example. Could be mistaken though.

  6. Happy birthday, master B6! Hope you have a great day, you've done a great job with this site over the past years!
  7. It won't happen (there's a reason Roboriders and Slizers were superseded by Bionicle, they were still experimenting with what worked at that point), but I loved those two lines, particularly Slizers and would welcome their return warmly.
  8. I feel segregating the community would be a very bad idea. If you gave something to older members it'd feel unfair to the newer members and if you gave both something it'd seem pointless and basically just encourage a club like mentality which this site tends to deter (serious clubs that is).
  9. I'd say the elements/powers which are more inherently OP than others tend to be restricted by the user, the extent to which the element can be manipulated or the consequences of using that power. For example a power over all matter would be very very OP, however if such a power were introduced in the story, going by past instances, it'd be restricted by say the user only being able to move 10g at a time or perhaps by losing a limb every time they use the power. So basically anything overtly OP probably won't ever appear in the story due to some reasoning like that - that being said you could make arguments based on existing demonstration of powers, but there's so many powerful powers that I don't think even those certain instances are issues.
  10. Maybe Great Beings are not human, but bonesiii is a Great Being then? Have we come to the point yet of wondering who made the Great Beings/where they come from? If they are Glatorian or similar in that respect it seems a natural question.
  11. I think due to the site's ties with LEGO until they give the greenlight to talk about it we're not meant to give the greenlight to talk about it officially. I'd rather keep our ties with TLC good than talk about stuff slightly earlier than we would otherwise. I may be wrong though/oversimplifying it.
  12. i'd vote Lhikan except most of the best stuff he did as a Toa as he wasn't really a Turaga very long. My two favourites after him would then be Vakama and Nokama and so like everyone else it seems I voted Nokama. I did really like Nuju as a Turaga though with his whistling and the what not.
  13. Had my heart skip a beat and was sad afterwards that the cameo was over afterwards (I remember hearing there was a small, reference so up to that point constantly had it in the back of my mind ).
  14. This one has a lot of old memories for me.
  15. I don't think you think of it as "chances" if Lego have a recurring line that brings them some level (usually a high level) of success, there's no reason they shouldn't keep the line (which they've invested a fair bit in) alive, rest it every now and then to let it rejuvenate/try other lines and then bring it back later. Actually seems like a plausible long term strategy to me, having a nice long term line you can bring in and out of retirement.
  16. Which -set- would I want to be? As in for the physical appearance etc..? Probably a Muaka? More seriously though probably Toa Ignika for the cool hover board and being the best colour (yellow).
  17. The one that I always remember the best was Teridax's "Sometimes my brothers, the best way, the only way to win is by losing". A lot of the more light hearted ones I enjoy too, but that one was always a standout for me.
  18. I have most the sets, with a few missing from certain years (ie never was able to get the Turaga/Manas or the Bohrok Va and most of the Kal, never got Karzahni either ). The majority of sets currently stored in their canisters built, or for larger sets in pieces in ziplock bags in containers. A few of my favouriter sets I have out and built, such as Toa Ignika and Lhikan.
  19. I suspect pins and axles will be incorporated irregularly in a couple of larger sets but for the most part I suspect the majority of the designs will be similar to those we've seen for the past few years.
  20. Artakha due to all the legends around it - however for place we've actually seen/been to properly I'd say Mata Nui followed by Metru Nui. I actually wish we'd had more than 1 year focused in the non-ruined Metru Nui, seeing all the city life of the Matoran was really cool, particularly towards the beginning of the 2004 story.
  21. Was tough choosing between 4 and 6 for me but went with 4 in the end because I loved the colours.
  22. I'm saying Bitil because I loved his set and mask power, however I also quite liked Mutran and Icarax.
  23. Takanuva - he's been there and chronicled a large amount of the history of Bionicle and is an awesome guy. I'd ask for a recount of his life/what he's learned from others such as Vakama.
  24. I think a point to take notice of is that many if not all beings in the Bionicle universe have far greater life spans than we're used to and work in a different way mentally and emotionally. As a result being stuck in stasis while still conscious for the periods of time they are in the story may perceived differently to say, Teridax then say us. While for us we'd imagine that as a terrible fate (perhaps or perhaps not worse than death depending on who you are and your opinion on the matter), but its quite possible for them it doesn't seem as bad - merely some type of boredom even. Being idle for a large amount of time for Teridax for example could just be an annoyance to him, rather than torturous as it would be to us (I'm presuming ). This difference could easily be explained either by their different mental/emotional states or by virtue of the fact they live longer lives and in doing so may perceive such times of entrapment differently (just two possible ideas explaining why it may not be worse than death ). That being said, it'd definitely still be a punishment of some sort - but there's nothing saying Toa cannot punish those who need punishing. Perhaps even the no-killing rule isn't so much due to the severity of the action to the victim, but due to its consequences in altering destiny and interfering with the duty and destiny of the Toas a a result (they're there to preserve those things, not mess with them). As a result, they may be allowed in some capacity to do "bad" things a) if its the only option to do what must be done (to satisfy the destiny of events) by them and they are the only ones who can/will do it and b) as the code may actually be more of a "don't do bad things when there is another option/needlessly", with some hard restrictions on certain acts that would usually go against the purpose of their existence. Ultimately I think the point should be that the code is meant to deter them from abusing their power, being evil or altering the course events from their destined path and that tends to include not doing "bad" things. But under circumstances where others do such things, it's quite possible similar (but still far less severe action) is required to rectify the course of events, which is ultimately their purpose I guess.
  25. I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Friday night (really fun movie with great dialogue I thought for the most part) and saw Lucy today (was kinda fun if you ignore the way they try to explain and give meaning to anything ).
