  1. I dunno; I think we're here and this kind of chain of support grew to the point where people are more comfortable, which is good to be quite honest.

I know at least one person came to me (privately) after I came out looking for help, so it's really important that we be here for each other.

  2. Colorado seems a bit more straight forward luckily, there's just some fees involved (I think... it might cost me around 150~ USD or so? Possibly more, pending on the cost of getting the information published in a local publication). I got my fingerprints done, though I did wait a little longer since I was debating on if I wanted to change my last name (decided I did).

And thanks! I'm feeling positive since they've largely been positive with me, the school, even though I've dropped out of... three or so universities due to previous mental health concerns >.<

I totally feel! It took me two attempts each to get through high school and undergrad, and now it's looking like grad school too. Oops. : X

For getting things published, it wasn't terribly much over here in NJ, but it depends. My county newspaper isn't too famous. But yes go you and I will cheerlead as best I can!

  3. Oh! Good luck with everything! Honestly, I started up graduate school before I was out/had my legal name change, and it all worked out fine, so I really think it should be good for you too. I know for NJ, the name change procedure was hecka complicated, so I'm not sure I can give too much advice, since it would be different where you are.

Still, rooting for you over here!
