  1. Of course The Kingdom Velika was a Great Being. Everything that happened before Matoro's attempt to revive Mata Nui, including the moment where Velika body-swapped into a Matoran body over 101,000 years prior, is exactly the same.
  2. I REALLY hope they don't explore the stars in this reboot. Better to just limit themselves to the planet Okoto is on, at least in the medium term.
  3. As I have stated multiple times before, I used to be a fan of Digimon back in the days of Digimon Adventure, but lost interest because they ended it and then gave the series a hard reboot, just like they did with Bionicle. Well I just heard news that, in honour of its 15th anniversary next year, Digimon Adventure is coming back! I know little about this new Digimon Adventure, but it appears it will be based around the original 8 Digidestined (including Kari), and be set 3 years after the events of Digimon Adventure 02 and the defeat of MaloMyotismon. I will definitely be looking into this, and my interest in Digimon may come back as a result. In addition, this development gives me hope for Bionicle Generation 1. If the creators of Digimon can bring back a continuation that had been amandoned for well over a decade, LEGO can do the same thing with Bionicle! Greg Farshtey has put it in the perfect position to be brought back in the future with a fresh new story on Spherus Magna, so who knows? inb4 "no, Bionicle Gen 1 is never coming back, you can't compare it to Digimon"
  4. Someone made a meme with a pic of Metus from TLR with the caption "That's a joke", but I can't find it anymore. Does someone here have it?
  5. It's only an issue if people are 3D-printing parts that LEGO still has in production.
  6. It is a hard reboot. Bionicle Gen 1 is dead and will never come back whether we like it or not.
  7. Too many to choose! Teleportation... Dodge... Invulnerability... Quick Healing... Chain Lightning... Plant Control... But if I had to choose only one it would be Sleep. Then I could end battles and incapacitate foes quickly and safely.
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks0U-3ZV3Ng Not sure if I'm allowed to double-comment in my own blog, but I just found this video. It reveals that Machop has not been changed to green, but a brighter shade of golden brown. This entry will now close, but not deleted. I'll keep it in existence as a message to NEVER change it to green, lest incur my wrath. To be continued...
  9. So it's not just me?
  10. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Machop#Sprites This is how normal and shiny Machops have looked between Gens 1 and 5. ALL shiny Machop here are depicted as being brown or golden brown just like the Machop above. Not green. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B3bjPWMCAAIZ6Tg.jpg:large This is the shiny Machop a friend of mine found. It may just be the quality of the photo but it looks green to me, far greener than any shiny Machop seen in the above pics, and far greener than the shiny Machop of X and Y, which used the exact same models.
  11. I think it was never specifically stated by Greg but my guess is that the Komau works only on sentient minds capable of advanced thoughts like matoran and toa.Doubt it. A noble Komau can control a Nui-Kopen. An insect.
  12. I've heard rumours, and even seen a low-quality pic, of shiny Machop having changed from brown to green in ORAS. Has anyone else found a shiny Machop in ORAS and can prove if this true with higher-quality pics?
  13. Would a Komau work, or would that be as OP as the Mask Of Rahi Control?
  14. tbh I do see the tactical financial value in only including them in sets. They force me to collect each set to get as many as I can, which I otherwise wouldn't've done.
  15. I did find and purchase some Bohrok from a second-hand shop in Footscray, near Melbourne, last year.
  16. Has anyone else heard of this term? It gets thrown around quite a bit on the Bring Back Bionicle Club.
  17. I think someone mentioned a while ago the likelihood of Skull Spiders being released on their own, in collectible packs. Does anyone else know about this rumour? I for one hope it happens, because the 12 Skull Spiders we'll be getting in Toa/Defender sets won't be enough to build an army like some hoarders like myself would like.
  18. As a lore person, I like clone sets because of how each set in a group is similar but different. I don't see 6 (or 12 in the case of the Bohrok) completely identical toys in different packaging like some people seem to, I see 6 (or 12 in the case of the Bohrok) individual characters or specimens. It's similar outside Bionicle too: In Pokémon there are eight Eevee evolutions, who are similar but different. They could be considered "clone sets" by some. Same with Plusle and Minun, who are completely identical except for colour, symbol and slight variations in stats and movepools. Then there are model trains. Some companies release multiple individual specimens of a single class of rollingstock, in many cases in the same liveries. They too count as "clone sets", but I don't see their manufacturers get ridiculed for making them either. tl;dr I see each clone set as an individual character, not a set.
  19. A Kualsi. Its teleporting abilities appeal to me a surprising amount.
  20. Only those that appeal to me the most, tops. In this case that means only the Skull Spiders. Depending on how the smaller Skull Spiders are released (I heard a rumour about them appearing in collectible packs like the masks of yesteryear), I may or may not collect the Masters and Defenders too.
  21. Really? Is it in the game files of the 2006 downloadable version or the BioMediaProject version? Is it on Youtube somewhere? The LEGO site downloadable version, yeah.
  22. A long time ago I remember seeing a modified version of the cutscene where Wairuha is gang-bashed by Manas, where the close-up scenes show Akamai instead of Wairuha. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned here yet!
  23. Whether we like it or not (and I don't either) it's a hard reboot. End of story. afaik there is NO Mask of Time whatsoever in Gen 2. There is NO WAY the name "Makuta" would be used again if it was Gen 1 (except if a GB was called Makuta, but GBs don't wear masks). And the Toa have NO reason to replace their masks with the plain elemental masks they're confirmed to wear. Therefore it is a hard reboot.
  24. I had heard that LEGO had planned for Bionicle to go on until at least 2011, causing confusion when it ended before that. I also heard they were going to release the baterra as 2010 sets. IMO they could've helped Bionicle to bounce back if released. I for one would've bought about a dozen of them.
