IC:

"I'm not leaving my patient. Le-Koro can do fine without me," I said, shrugging. It was true; I may have been the best doctor in Le-Koro, but the others were competent enough to keep their fellows alive.

"Besides. That left-over Mark is evidence of a chapter of my life I want to have fully closed, the manuscript of it burned in a fire and completely forgotten after that. If I left now I'd just have this odd feeling of disappointment and I would never feel content or fulfilled in life after that, and I'd go absolutely insane."

IC-Otana

The group comes to a 3 way split in the cave.

Hmm... I have no memory of this place . Ah.

He pulls a old map from his bag.

Nope wrong map That one  may lead to a stash of kanohi mask   worth tons of money haha .

He puts the map back and pulls another out.

Ah here we are we go left .

OOC: Well, from what I understant, the have the possibility to exist, but nobody has seen a bohrok. Which I believe is some sort of food.

IC: "Valuable mask!? Nuh-uh! No way! I know how these things work. There's probably a nest of kofu-jaga or worse down there, and I'd rather not have my trip interrupted by giant stingers! Let's go the most direct way. That doesn't involve magma."

IC: Utu Kotore

"I know there's more krillactum somewhere. I just don't know where yet," I started, still rather quiet, "I remember Echelon took me somewhere before using some to do... whatever it was he did."

I didn't really feel too inclined to move on, but it seemed a little more than important, "Maybe we could find him? Unless there's something else we could do to uh... trigger some memories again."

IC Hile

(Le-Wahi):

Hile chuckled. "If all it took to defeat Makuta was some technology, indeed we wouldn't need you", he said. "The Volo Lutu is actually one of the oldest pieces of tech on the island. Where it came from and how, I have no idea."

IC Kavala

(Le-Wahi, southern tip):

Kavala broke the surface of the water near the southern tip of Le-Wahi. He carried with him a tablet containing information on something he knew he could use to attack Xa-Koro and hopefully destroy it. It was a long shot, but he felt obliged to try. After all, his home had been invaded, with far from legal methods.

They claimed the land, but it belonged to me, he thought bitterly.

Now there was only one thing to do: Wait for Iegasa to return from the Rockwall. However, something peculiar caught Kavala's eye: a Le-Matoran doing something with a piece of cloth... mapping, perhaps? It made sense, for why else would a Le-Matoran travel so far from his home village?

Kavala was about to ignore the Matoran when he noticed the boat he was about to climb into. The Matoran was on his way to the Rockwall! Deciding to find out what the reason was, Kavala silently crept behind the Matoran and seized him, lifting him into the air. The Matoran gasped in fright.

"What are you up to, little Matoran?" Kavala demanded. It was not like him to be so openly threatening, but anything concerning the Rockwall made his blood boil. "Answer me, or I will make sure you never get the chance to say another word to anyone."

"I'm just a messenger!" the Matoran squealed. Kavala took the piece of cloth the Matoran had had and read it. It was not a map, but a message to someone within the Rockwall. What was interesting, however, was not the recipient, but the topic. It detailed a disturbance in the Dark Walks and the chamber of Makuta. Even more, it described a dark threat lurking in there. Someone had opened Makuta's vault and now held great power, but apparently it was being given away to those with dark intentions.

Kavala made his choice then. Iegasa could wait. There was power to be gained, that could potentially be used to bring destruction to the Rockwall. The lands of Xa-Koro would be liberated and brought back to its rightful owner.

Kavala made quick work of the Le-Matoran messenger. No one would be able to find his body, nor the message in the cloth. Kavala was already on his way towards the Le-Koro dark walk, evil plans spinning in his head.

OOC: Kavala to Kini-Nui.

IC (Agni):

We had made our way back underground, which had taken considerably more time than the first time we had come to this place, thanks to the partially collapsed tunnels. Thankfully, Valria was there and with a little help from her power, we could clear the passages and get through the tunnels without having to fear them caving in on us. When boulders needed to be moved, she nullified their weight and Merror and I did the moving. Still our progress was slow, for the most part, so once we made it through to the main-cavern - or what was left of it - I was almost glad to see it again. Almost.

Raising my hand, I created several hovering flames in mid-air, that illuminated the space around us. I tried to mentally overlay the images of the cave as I remembered it before our fight onto the rubble and collapsed walls that now were in its place, but it proved difficult, the place had changed too much.

"We'll have to find the passage Echelon used to get out and then find whatever objects he had contact with along the way."

IC: (Valria)

I started looking around the room, pulling an lighstone from my knapsack, slung over my shoulder. Agni's hovering flames were helping, but it made it easier to make out details as I walked around. I wanted towards where I last remembered Echelon standing. "This is where I last saw Echelon, before I lost consciousness during the fight. I think we should start here."

OOC: Hmmm. I've been using single quotation marks (UK standard) lately, and actually I think I prefer doubles. XD

IC (Merror)

Merror nodded.

"I'm afraid I won't be of much use at this point," he said. "I was over there, fighting Onuzek."

He gestured with his flaming sword at an area on the other side of the half-collapsed cave.

IC (Cael)

"Last time we met Echelon, it... ended badly." The Toa of Water glanced at Tuara, who doubtlessly agreed. "But if he's the only way we can get the information you need...

"The rest of our team was preparing to hunt down Echelon when we left Le-Koro. If we join them, we'll find him, and we'll have backup in case things get ugly. I'm not a gambling woman, but if I was, I'd bet they will."

IC (Agni):

I moved over to where Valria was pointing and looked around, trying to find the most likely thing Echelon might have come into contact with when he departed. After a few seconds, my eyes zeroed in on a flat rock, pressed firmly into the muddy ground.

I crouched down, placing one knee on the ground and placed the fingers of my right on the rock, before calling upon the power of the mask of psychometry. I closed my eyes and focused on the rock, looking into its past. Images began to flash in my mind, most of them showing uneventful days from the stones immobile existence in the cave, until suddenly, there were flames, and a dark figure moving among them, heading for a smaller passage.

I let go of the stone, standing back up and pointed in the direction Echelon had left in. "That way." I said. Up ahead, the narrow tunnel was once again blocked by rubble from the explosives the followers of Makuta had planted.

Let's get to it then.

A short while later, we had cleared the path once again, and began to follow it.

"If my sense of direction hasn't been fooled by the cave's layout, I think this passage is leading just about south...where do you think he went after that, Merror?"

--------------------------------------

IC (Aparangi):

"Name's Aparangi." the dark Toa quickly told the group.

"Exa's right, let's not draw too much attention. If you pretend to gang up on me, we can maneuver through the arena and get a better tactical position to go for the mooks or get some of the other involuntary fighters to join up."

He flexed his arms and, in a rather disgusting fashion, hardened organic tissue began to grow and spread out, forming additional armor, which was slowly winding it's way up to his torso. It was definitely not a power from the standard book of Toa elements.

"Don't worry about making it look real; I can take a few hits."

"Oh,"Jakura replied, feeling stupid. "I guess I've just never seen them before. I never was around many other Matoran back when I was one - ah, here we are!" He stopped and pulled back a veil of vines hanging from a tree. "My home."

Straight in front of them was a small hut, constructed of bamboo and vines and topped with a roof of large leaves.

"A Matoran friend of mine made it," he explained. "A tight fit inside, but not terrible - there's sleeping room, anyways, which is enough for me. If you'll excuse me, I just have some things to get."

With that, he stepped up to the door, swung it open, and disappeared behind it.

IC: Casanuva stood straight, and adjusted his armor. "If I'm going to fly, I'll do it in the perfectly natural way! By bending the laws of electromagnetism like putty and affecting only myself."

Nunonu looked up at him. "That... doesn't sound very natural."

"Oh hush."

IC: Skorm stalked through the underbrush towards Le-Koro. He had found evidence of a battle a few hours out from the cave entrance he had tracked Casanuva from; his idiot brother's footprints had continued on with the matoran.

"Idiot. Idiot! I can't believe the first one I find is Casanuva. Why couldn't I have found Vakua? He's practically a radar!"

He spotted the koro above him. Skorm activated his gravity powers, and levitated up to the Le-Koro platform. He deactivated his Huna, and drew down his hood. He sighed; time to start questioning people.

The times, they are a-changing...

Well  to each his own .

They press on and eventually reach  a large chamber with  some abandoned mining equipment  .

Odd This wasn't on the map . Hmm lets see if we can find anything down here .

He pulls some extra light stones from his bag and tosses them to his companion  .

If you find anything shiny or otherwise interesting give a yell .

He walks off and inspects some of the machines .

I am not sure this stuff shouldn't be down here .

He shines the light near the walls and at the far end of the wall a large container can be seen half burred in the walls of the cave but it  seems to have a door on it .

That shouldn't either .

He inspects the container and looks around and sees a control panel near it .

Ah maybe this can shed some light on the situation .

As he walks near the panel he trips and drops his light stone . It then rolls away from him illuminating The body of a long dead Matoran .

Hmm that's quite disconcerting .

IC: Iegasa

The gate (and only entrance) to the colony of Nokama Port was manned by a duo of severe-looking marines. Their eyes flickered swiftly from side to side, before their gaze finally came to a rest upon Iegasa. He could feel their questioning already: what was his purpose here? Was he a threat to the colony? It was simple to answer the first, but the second?

Was he a threat? The shrinekeeper decided that he was not - after all, he was merely a curious traveler.

Stepping closer to the guards, Iegasa briefly smiled a greeting. "Hello."

NPC:

Rockwall didn't get many curious travelers.

Commander Thessa had finished inspecting the boats and sent Airu off to make sure that Tuara Drigton's team hadn't totaled the boat. She thought to have Airu ask about Dren - it had been long months since she'd heard from her brother, but news had a bad habit of crawling slower the farther south it flew - but decided that she could always just send a letter some other time. Instead of her typical Toa of Plant Life escort, she had enlisted Mussiki to stand by her when the strange Toa of Plasma idled up to the gates. That was odd in the mind of the bulky Ga-Matoran; there was precious little room to stand on at the grate outside Rockwall, barely enough to position your feet, and to actually move you had to cling to the wall and slide instead of lift your feet. One false move (or one simple movement from one of the guards at the battlements) and you were in the water, right back where you started.

So curious travelers? Always a little suspect. He looked friendly enough, and his 'hello' felt entirely natural, but Thessa had not been given command of Ga-Koro's colony for nothing. She took her blinders off.

"Hello," she said, wary and guarded. "What's your business here?"

He inspects the body and it seems to be leaning on the control panel like it was ether placed there or died there .

Hmm I don`t expect this fellow to be the only one down here .

He inspects the control panel closer.

This panel is not of Onu-Koro design  it looks like it matches that container over there in the cave wall .

The Matorans body is holding a lever on the panel down as if he died trying to do so .

He laughs a little . " There is  no such thing as spirit-Ghost . Come on wheres your spirit of adventure ." He inspects it closer, but as he does the sound of fluttering insect wings is heard from the shadows and two large glowing blue eyes open in the darkness.

"that on the other hand ."

A nui Kopen flies out ramming in to Otana and knocking the corpse from where it was laying. The Rahi drops Otana and starts to fly above the group.

"Oh no you don`t  . " He jumps up on to some of the machines and opens his wings."Don`t start what you can`t finish . "He uses his wings to glide over to the Nui-Kopen and gets on its back . He then latches one of his arm blades on to it . The rahi thrashes around wildly causing Otana to flail around as well."I could use some help up here ."

Hile stood obediently outside, wondering what Jakura would take on the journey.

After a moment, Jakura's head peeked out the door.

IC Jrahann:

IC Jrahann
Jrahann landed hard on the arena floor and tumbled awkwardly to ease the impact. Battle was already beginning to rage around the De-Skakdi as she got to her feet. She couldn't imagine what kind of rock-head would willingly start a fight to the death just because some sick kidnapper told them to. Those sorts of violent piraka were the reason she didn't like to associate with other Skakdi.
She drew her sai for defense, then backed against the arena wall and looked around for a glimpse of Ankarya's fire-red armor. The Ta-Skakdi was not within view, thanks o the general commotion and expanding clouds of smoke, but Jrahann did find a different familiar face.
Before she could think long about it, though, a green Lesterin charged at her, swinging a battle saw. Jrahann knocked the weapon's toothed blade away from her face with one sai and knocked the other against the attacker's helmet. He hardly seemed to notice and drew the saw up for another strike. Jrahann quickly clashed her sai together, producing a sonic pulse with a painful effect on the Lesterin's hearing. He dropped the saw, but drew a knife and threw it at her. It cut a painful line across her right forearm and she dropped one sai.
"Colx!" Jrahann called. "Help me out!"

Jrahann couldn't afford to wait and see whether the gray Skakdi was coming to her aid; her green-armored foe was already picking his saw back up. She decided to forego the dropped sai, since she would hardly be able to wield it with her hurt arm. She charged the Lesterin and opened with a kick to his hip as he hefted the saw for another strike--not to injure, but to throw him off balance. He recovered quickly and brought the saw down at Jrahann with both hands, forcing her to block with the sai.

With her free hand, Jrahann grabbed the butt of the saw and tried to flip it out of the enemy's grasp, only succeeding in getting one of his hands off the handle. The Lesterin responded by using that hand to punch her in the side of the head. She fell, but decided against getting right back up for another attack; she would be at a huge disadvantage. Instead she played dead, rolling onto her side but keeping track of the foe with half-open eyes, hoping he would drop his guard.

It worked: the Le-Lesterin holstered his saw for another knife, which he raised in preparation for a fatal stab. Jrahann kicked the center of his torso, knocking him onto his back. Not hesitating, she rose to a crouch and struck his knife hand with her sai, then discarded her own weapon and stole the Lesterin's blade. He drew his saw too late; Jrahann stabbed him in the neck with all the strength she had left. Something in it cracked. She hoped it was something important.

Jrahann felt a surge of strength with the victory, but as soon as she returned to her feet a crushing headache came over her, accompanied by a severe dizziness that smeared her surroundings across her field of vision. Irnakk take this, she silently cursed, realizing the blow to her head had been worse than she had realized. She stumbled towards the edge of the arena, still clutching her fallen enemy's knife, then collapsed against it, painfully aware that she couldn't hope to win another fight in this state. Irnakk take this Karzahni-cursed pit of miserable...

OOC: Geardirector, don't worry about Colx not noticing the call for help. It's very reasonable in this chaotic situation. Yes, Jrahann's survival is now at the mercy of the other players. I'm interested to see how this will go.

IC:

"Ueahhh......." I muttered without thinking before realising that it was quite a bit rude.

"So.....I guess you're fine if I tried this?"

As I finished the sentence, I swung my staff downwards, towards the top of Aparangi's head. It wasn't light; not anywhere near that of a Kolhii stick, built for a matoran, but at the same time it wasn't excessively heavy. It would take some getting used to, but I was already formulating some ideas for how in the world I was going to use this weapon. It feels very....momentum-based. And that's something I could definitely try to manipulate.

IC: Jakura

"Very well." Jakura exited his house and shut the door behind him.

In appearance, he wasn't drastically different - he was no longer wearing his cloak and bamboo armor, and now the silver and gold of his upper torso shown clearly. Without the bamboo, a tattoo was clearly visible on his right shoulder pad - bright blue Matoran symbols, stating "UDD". Rather than satchel, he now wore his own Toa-pack, stuffed with provisions. He also brandished the disk launcher, once again attached to his left forearm.

No longer was a sword hanging from his side - now, it was replaced by a war spear, held firmly in Jakura's hand and clearly not of Toa origin. The blade was large and curved, and at the other end of the long staff was a sharp spike. A broken chain hung from below the blade.

"It's a Skakdi war spear," Jakura explained. "My own Toa Tools were destroyed in battle long ago. With a loss came a gain, though..."

He swung the weapon around in his hand and slung it over his back. "Ready to go?"

IC Hile

(Le-Wahi):

Hile smiled in approval (as if a Toa needed his approval) and admired Jakura's new equipment. The Toa gave the impression that he was a truly formidable opponent in battle, and in this case appearances were probably accurate. If Jakura really had been a leader of Toa before, he had to possess certain qualities, one of which was capability in combat. Hile wasn't the kind of Matoran who craved for protection, but he had to admit he felt safe around this Toa. No, better than safe... he felt like his comrade.

"Let's move on then", Hile said. "Make the world know we're on our way."

Jakura had to smile. He had noticed a hint of awe on the Matoran's mask when he had emerged, and, though he would never admit it, Jakura found pleasure in it. He chuckled at Hile's comment.

"We may be ready for battle, but that doesn't mean we need to stomp around like warlords."

Activating his Kualsi, Jakura transported up into a nearby tree. "Follow me," he shouted downwards. "We take the Le-Matoran route."

"I'll try to go slow, if you need. Oh, and speaking of weapons..."

There have been too many mentions of old friends today, Jakura thought to himself as he ducked and dodged across the tree branches, Toa-of-Air/Jungle-style. Why did I give him the dagger, anyways?

He pondered that question as he flipped himself into the air, then back down onto the branches. Perhaps, subconsciously, he had already accepted this Matoran as a friend - and this was his way of "sealing the deal".

Whatever the reason, Jakura couldn't help thinking of Kaama - the young Toa the knife had belonged to - and his fate.

A fate Jakura wished he had shared
