IC: Savina - Anthyn's Home, Ga-koro -

"I'm glad to see you too." She said with a smile, she was also relieved that Tehlin was dropping the subject. "Thanks again for taking care of Grecko, I was worried that he'd been all on his own ever since...well you know, since I went off with Anthyn." Savina assumed Tehlin knew who she meant, after all, it would be hard to forgot a winged being that also happened to have your soul.

"If you stick around long enough maybe you can have dinner with us. I'm sure she'll be back soon."

IC: Tehlin

Everything clicked. At once, falling into place like grains of sand through a loose hand. Oh. Oh Karz. The realization hit me like a blow to the chest. It was so obvious, why didn't I make the connection before? The psyche was a strange thing, the events that transpired that day were horrifying, and quite frankly, traumatizing. It was no wonder that I buried it deep, even if not meaning to. It was a natural reaction, a mental safeguard to prevent harm. I managed not show my sudden placing of a name to a face, but I could swear my heartrate spiked.

"I'd love to," I replied, my smile morphing to look more like that lopsided grin that usually graced my features. It wasn't even a lie. Of course I would love to stay for dinner, not just because it gave me a chance to get close to Anthyn. "I'm not doing anything else."

IC: Voutok; Leaving Ga-Koro docks towards Ga-Koro Square"Let's hope you're right, Firion." Voutok replied "I'm getting kinda sick of getting lost and not knowing where to go." As Voutok "lead the way" back down the street towards where he last saw Lenat, he then turned to the Toa "So...'Toa Virin', eh? I'm going to make the quick assumption that you're NOT affiliated with the Arete. So how are you and Firion here connected? Fellow marine? Former Marine before becoming a Toa? Simply known each other for awhile? If you don't mind my asking, of course."

Behind this sucky post count, a writer and hardcore RPer lies in wait of a reason to post...

For those who will likely ask when reading some of my non-RP posts: for me, "*shot*' = "I know that what I said was something stupid and I am acknowledging this before people think I'm serious."

Oh yeah, and my current BZPRPG character bio can be found here.

"Why...me? Oh yeah, that's right. I'm weak. I'm of a minority, a minority of people with a common trait: we hear too much. And what we're supposed to hear hurts to hear. When I'm alone in a silent room, I can hear a pebble dropping from a mile away. I can hear a motor boat being started up several yards off the coast. A whisper from outside, I can hear as if they were talking right at me. An explosion in another koro, I hear as if it's just outside. Sounds useful, right?"

"Wrong."

"It's a curse, if you ask me. The same pen dropping inside this aforementioned silent room would ring in my ears. If I stood by the same motor, I'd get a headache. The same whisper would ring in my ear like two metal beams being slammed together in front of my face. The same explosion would render me deaf for years...thank the Spirit I thought of getting me something to dampen the noise, or I'd end up like the rest of my kind..."

IC: Tehlin

My thoughts were interrupted by a glomping Savina, as the Toa of Plantlife attacked me with another hug. Air was force out of my lungs, and I gave a sharp sigh as she crushed my ribs. On top of that, the chair I was in tipped over from the sudden impact, and my back hit the ground, and Savina's weight fell on my already pained ribs. Other than that though, I was relatively okay. My grin broadened a bit as I returned the hug, wrapping my arms around her. "I'm sure."

IC: Savina - Anthyn's Home, Ga-koro -

Savina had been surprised as they both fell over, with Savina on top of Tehlin, she hadn't realized she'd put that much force into it. She started to giggle. "I guess I don't know my own strength!" She said, still hugging Tehlin.

"Yup," I said, forcing air out my lungs to dull the pain slightly. It wasn't as bad as it could be, possibly because of the bit of alcohol somewhere in my system. It wasn't as bad as what I'd been through before, so I could manage. Especially with Savina still hugging me. I glanced down at the giggling Toa of Plantlife, and gave a small squeeze. Yeah, definitely glad I found her.

IC: Savina - Anthyn's Home, Ga-koro -

Savina smiled and lay her head on his chest. "You are a great pillow. Maybe I should stuff you in a sheet and keep you as one." Savina ended with a small giggle.

Truth be told even Savina was surprised to how bubbly she'd become. She figured that really she'd always been like this, and it was just her shyness that had been holding it back, and now that the barrier was gone, it was all gushing out at once. "I feel more alive than I've ever felt before." She said with a sigh.

"Sounds like a full-time job," I commented, pulling her slightly closer. In retrospect, I had to say that I liked un-shy Savina better. "I'd have to quit the guard, and brush up on my pillow skills."

Well, I was happy that she was feeling good, the same couldn't exactly be said for me. I guess some people just react better to having their souls consumed. Well, I feeling fairly good right now, if you discounted my ribs. I could think about killing a demon later, there were other things happening.

Ga-koro- Lenat

IC: After leaving, the Vortixx had once again headed to the market, where he collected the various pieces needed. It helped that most of them were used in other objects as well so he had no problem finding them at the different vendors.

After finding everything, the Vortixx went to another quiet lillypad and began putting the crossbow together.

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

OOC: Ronkshou, Kohra, and ??????? from Po-Wahi...

IC: Ronkshou – Northern Coast of Naho Bay – Ga-Wahi

Ronkshou and Kohra slowed down after a continuous jog following the path of the three Kahu birds. Ronkshou then narrowed his blood-red eyes and followed the path that the trio seemed to be taking, mapping a trajectory in his head.

“They’re headed for Le-Wahi,” Ronkshou said, his voice scraggly from the fatigue that came with this continuous chase. “There is no way we’ll make it on foot”

“Then what’s your plan?” Kohra prodded.

“We’ll ‘borrow’ a faster vessel,” Ronkshou replied, his voice steady now.

Far away from civilization, Ga-Koronan fishermen and women often ventured to secluded areas where certain fish and other sea creatures resided. As such, it did not surprise the Infected Toa to see two Ga-Matoran sitting against a small river against the cliffs, a single boat sitting nearby and rocking back and forth comfortably. A small cave resided in these cliffs, and it was slightly occluded by a waterfall that spilled from the spilled off the top of the cliff that towered over the Matoran. The waterfall sent a calming, continuous sound of splashing water, but beyond that, the area was silent. This entire bundle of rock walls roughly made a crescent shape, and Ronkshou and Kohra peeked around the cliff to survey the area. The two Matoran were here alone, but one was significantly more brawny and equipped compared to her lighter companion. She might have been a Marine escort for this fisherwoman, and Ronkshou wondered if there were more Marines nearby.

After contemplating, Ronkshou shrugged his shoulders and equipped his Proto-Knuckles. He motioned for Kohra to wait where she was, hidden behind the rocky cliff, and stealthy crept around the end of the wall, hugging it as he got closer to the cave.

The two Matoran were watching the lake, a fishing pole indicating that they were hunting for something. With Ronkshou only a few yards away, the Infected Toa ran an electrical current through his Proto-Knuckles, turning them into transient magnets. The next thing the fisherwoman and Marine knew, they were flying in a random direction and caught by huge metallic gloves. It took only a fraction of Ronkshou’s strength to “tap” them together and knock them out cold.

Kohra looked around the end of the cliff and saw Ronkshou motion her to come along. Upon closer inspection to the tied-down boat, Ronkshou saw that this was a Marine boat. At any rate, it was large enough to house both he and the Vortixx, though not comfortably.

“We will have to put time before comfort,” Ronkshou grimaced as he climbed onto the boat. Kohra quickly joined him, and after loosening the rope, Ronkshou started the motor and pulled the boat out from the crescent shaped cliff range.

Meanwhile, a glory seeker had watched the sequence of events from behind the wall of falling water. He watched not with hatred, but with excitement. It was the kind of feeling that came with entering a toy store, knowing you could choose any figure to take home with you. It was the kind of feeling that came with taking an exam after learning the entireties of the material, and then some. It was the kind of feeling that came with seeing a while of dense, shiny widgets on the ground.

Whether the camouflaged watcher could capture his prize or not was never the question. The question was always would he.

Ga-Koro Marine HQ

The dark brownish-gray cloak billowed about him as he carried two stirring Matoran on his shoulders past the gates. His brutish armor could elicit fear, but the Toa walked with a confidence and authority that shattered any reservations about his honor.

Six Marines ready their spikes as the tall Toa approached. The cloaked being made no reaction, and instead calmly placed the partially conscious Ga-Matoran before them. The lead officer heard the stirring Marine try to speak, and she knelt down to hear what she was trying to utter.

“R…Ronk..sh…”

A dark visage clouded the lead officer’s face. Ronkshou, Echelon, and the Shadow Toa were among those sitting comfortably at the top of every village military’s Most Wanted list. At the same time though, all of them could be especially dangerous.

The lead officer and the other five Marines then looked up at the Toa who stood at nearly double the height of the average Toa. They expected him to say something, provide an explanation, anything!

“I have been trailing him. I must procure a boat to catch him,” the Toa said quietly, “Lest he sinks the village, which we both know at the can”

A look and a nod to another Marine from the lead officer signaled that the Toa would get what he wanted. The Komau-wearing Marine dashed down the path alongside the headquarters, where the military docks were.

“Will you be bringing him back here?” asked the lead officer.

The Toa sternly shook his head, “I’m sorry. My duty is not to this village. The people of Stone require my honorable venture more than any other village”

The Mahiki-wearing lead officer glanced to her feet for a moment. She had wished Ga-Koro could be the one with the honor of securing the criminal, but she realized that she had little choice. Either let Po-Koro handle it (with little guarantee that they would), or let Ronkshou roam free.

Ga-Koro Docks

The glory seeker thanked the shipwrights for their cooperation, and before him sat a large motor boat three times t he size of the boat that Ronkshou and Kohra took.

The glory seeker would be quiet comfortable indeed.

The Toa started the engine and pulled out from the docks. He heard Ronkshou mention “Le-Wahi”, and he knew the direct route to that coast line. He would find the boat and hopefully find whoever Ronkshou and his Vortixx friend were trying to catch.

OOC: Ronkshou, Kohra, and ??????? to Le-Wahi…

"hey girl: here’s an idea, but… it’s up to you:

You’re the boss of this operation."

IC: The Docks

Virin let out a chuckle. “That would be an accurate guess.”'

“As for my relationship with Firion… The funny thing is that we’ve only known each other for two days. The mutual goals and fate bond two people together, I suppose.” He told Voutok, his green eyes wavering over to the smaller Firion. He hadn’t thought about it, but he had no idea why he and Firion were so friendly with each other. To the De-Matoran, they had appeared to be old war buddies. For some reason, he placed a great amount of trust on the Matoran and he returned that trust. They also respected each other enough to assist each other when one of them was stumbling. He supposed that was the reason why.

Respect.

IC: Savina - Anthyn's Home, Ga-koro -

Savina laughed, "Yeah I think you'd do great at being a pillow." After a moment or two of just laying on top of Tehlin, Savina raised her head up and looked at Tehlin. "So, besides the whole fighting a Skakdi and getting beat up thing, how have you been doing? You know, since the...ritual." Savina didn't like to think of her experience of losing her soul, well, at least the part before she met Anthyn. It had been very painful.

Though thinking of the ritual gave Savina an idea, she had sworn to herself to become more like Anthyn after all...

She hoped her angel would be home soon, she had something important to ask her.

"Not much really," I said, my eyes slightly distant. It wasn't entirely a lie, but it wasn't entirely true. I spent most of my time trying to find and locate Anthyn. I took having my soul drained rather personally. When I wasn't doing that, I was training. Preparing for when I did find the angelic demon. I also left out Dujour, for... reasons. Best not to think about that. "I mean, Grecko somehow managed to get an entire village fawning over him, but I really haven't been doing much."

"And what about you, miss?" I asked, grinning, my expression brightening and my eyes once again focusing on Savina.

IC (Ketan)

“He should definitely be taught some manners” the Le-Toa sniffed. “And usually I would take the time to enjoy what would surely be a distracting task, but, unfortunately, my day is already booked solid.”

Anythn's raised her shapely eyebrows in a questioning expression.

“The higher-ranking Marine officers have invited me to join them in a meeting,” the Toa of Air said proudly. “A meeting to decide the fate of Ga-Koro.”

He took the angel's silence as a cue to proceed with his explanation. “With our esteemed Turaga having fallen victim to a heinous assassin, and dear Hahli nowhere to be found, we must decide on a leader so the village doesn't fall into chaos.”

He smiled sadly, as if in remorse, but his eyes met Anthyn's and they were as cold as ice.

“If I have my way,” he continued. “Ga-Koro's leaders will be chosen before the day is out.”

He bowed slightly, then left the hut with a swish of his cloak, leaving the angel (or was she a demon?) and her dog alone, his face set towards the Marine headquarters.

"Oh me?" Savina asked, not sounding worried. Though she knew she'd have to leave out the Casa Juturna part, and Embok's tongue ripping....yeahhhhh.

She got up and off of Tehlin, and then offered a hand to help him up. "I've just been with Anthyn mostly...she's been teaching me how to survive outside the jungle."

Ic: Ketan left the room and left Anthyn alone with Embok. The angel looked down at Embok and gave him a sneer before turning on her heel and leaving the hut after Ketan. She didn't care if Embok stayed, followed her or followed Ketan, but her job there was over. Embok was one of their number now, completely crushed and transformed into ashes.

Lust closed the door behind her without care and stepped away from the hut. She began her walk to her house, taking care to still appear frilly and content. Embok incinerated the puddles she frolicked in before, leaving her limited in her venue, so she took a longer route through the docks. She saw a nice looking boat with a very small crew come in, but she didn't think anything of it and kept walking through the area.

Suddenly, a cry erupted from the area: "The Skakdi!" Anthyn turned and saw, there, a Skakdi with more than a passing appearance to Grokk, being hounded by a few villagers. They turned to her (she was hard to miss) and their eyes pleaded for her aid. She was bound to help, if only to keep the appearance up.

Ooc: I think this is a terrible post. I will likely extrapolate on it later, but the overall scheme will be the same. =/

Getting off the floor -with a bit of Savina's help, as I was now beginning to really feel my ribs- I winced. "That's cool," I said, placing a hand on my ribs. Ha, too bad we didn't have a Mask of Healing lying around. While I wasn't exactly sure how they worked, I've had them used on me more than once. As a matter of fact, I was friends with the village doctor. I saw him a lot. Mostly when I had done something stupid.

Yeah.

Sounds about right.

Savina noticed Tehlin's pained expression, he was trying to hide it, but those ribs were surely causing him a lot of distress. "Yeah, I'm doing pretty well, I mean, I wasn't at first, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it....are you sure we shouldn't go find a doctor or something?" She asked with concern.

Savina thought back to her time in Ko-koro, the sled ride, how she broke her arm, and how that doctor had been able to fix it with his mask. "Tehlin, I really think we should go find a doctor with one of those healing masks, like how when I broke my arm."

She recalled at the time how terrified she'd been of just entering that hospital, let alone having someone look at her arm and then fix it, with some pain involved too boot. "You're not...scared are you?" She asked Tehlin, thinking maybe that's why he didn't want to go.

"Okay!"

Savina grabbed Tehlin's wrist and began to drag him outside, down the steps, and across the docks. Grecko decided to just keep on swimming.

I resigned myself to defeat as Savina latched onto my wrist and dragged me out of the hut. It was actually quite a nice day, the earlier rain having completely vanished and only a slight mist remaining of the downpour. Grecko was still swimming, the guy not even trying to get me out of her protosteel-grip. Sudddenly, Savina stopped, glancing at me with a -cute- blush on her Kanohi. It was then that I realized she had no idea where she was going...

And that I had no idea where to go.

"Er... Not particularly..." I replied, glancing around the village and trying to keep my gaze from focusing on... other things. "Bet we could ask around," I suggested, looking back at Savina.

IC: Savina - Ga-koro -

"Yeah good idea!" Savina said, she started to race down the koro with poor Tehlin in tow. She began to ask around with much enthusiasm, enough to scare most people. Most of them figured it was her that needed a doctor.

They were often recommended to the main hospital, but Tehlin insisted they find one of those small time doctors that worked alone, something about them being more personal. Eventually they were recommended to a Toa who lived on the outskirts of town, near the bay. Though what got Tehlin's attention was that this doctor was female, on hearing this he immediately decided that was where they should go.

And that's where the two found themselves, Savina knocked on the door over this doctor's home.

I was quite glade that we finally got directions to a doctor, and not some impersonal creep inside that hospital. Still, our asking around gave me quite a tour of the village, got to see a whole lot of the sights. Which was a win.

Anyway, so we came to a smaller hut near the edge of the village, the one with the small-time female doctor. Savina knocked on the door, and soon enough, the doctor opened the door. Le-Toa, green armor, Miru, not all that important. What was important that that the doc was definitely easy on the eyes. Or at least, I hoped the babe in the white coat was the doctor, 'cause uh-huh. I was fine with letting Savina do the talking, for now, that is, and just kept the (mostly) impassive look on my face.

IC:

The poor Skakdi of Stone was minding his own business, yes he was, but the fact is, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and your Turaga just got whacked, then you're gonna end up tasting like a duck. That is, you will after the village, in all its thirst for blood and manhunt-y glory, takes you by all your limbs and tosses you into a giant vat of boiling water and stirs you around until you crackle and froth up and then turn to ash in the water. After that, the village will pour some broth into the mixture and then serve you up with crackers and chowder, and oh boy, you will taste like the best duck EVER!

Anyanka loved to cook.

The Toa of Plasma's little belly had been rumbling like a waking dragon as she looked around on the dock for something that the soldiers had left, so as she docked her boat, told Aexias to be a good girl and don't sail it away, otherwise that smexy corpse of hers would be hanging from the front of the boat and she would let the figurehead be her new best friend. The Skakdi of Ice had nodded, still slightly fearful of the clearly unstable dreamer, and now Anyanka was moving through Ga-Koro towards the market when the Skakdi Anthyn had her sights on had bumped into her in the midst of his run, sending both of them sprawling to the ground.

Anyanka, ever the thief and free runner, had reflexes you'd be hard-pressed to be find from a Calix user, so she hopped up instantly and was over the Skakdi, slamming her fist into his face hard and disorienting him as several others - including, though she didn't know it, "Toa Arete" Anthyn - gathered to watch what was going on.

"Hey!" she pouted, cracking her knuckles and pouting as the dazed "murderer" looked up at the beautiful, if enigmatic, face of his assailant. "Do you want me to hollow your insides and mount you on the mast of my ship like a cap on a pen? Do you care if I flay you alive and then turn your skin into a flag? What? I'm sorry, you'll have to speak up...you don't want that? You do care? Then be polite, you prude!"

The pout only deepened with every word, laced with a not-so-subtle instability that made both the Skakdi's heart race and his palms sweat.

I'm sorry, you'll have to speak up...you don't want that? You do care? Then be polite, you prude!" As Jetzul was walking back to the office, he heard a high-pitched female voice screaming death threats at... something. Turning a corner, he saw a toa of plasma-presumbly the female-standing on top of a skakdi. "Tut tut tut," Jetzul simply said, walking not particularly towards her. "Women these days, so overreactionary," he muttered not really to himself. It was true; the last time he handled a case with a female suspect, things had gotten pretty ugly real quickly. Walking past Anyanka, he put on a casual appearance. "Just because somebody bumps into you," Jetzul snarked, "Doesn't give you the right to threaten them. Chill." Walking away from the scene but keeping an eye on it, thoughts of his second case were swirling in his mind. "How oh how am I going to get evidence for the Nokama case?"

Ic: As Anthyn caught sight of the Skakdi in question, her mind surged with all the possibilities. Even here in the village itself she could commit any number of atrocities, though she'd still need to be judicious in the execution. Her evil but tactical mind whirred; she could grab the Skakdi by the shoulder and drag him under the docks, or seize him and slice his abdomen with her fingers as she took him to the jail, or maybe even engage him in a fight that could climax with a rather bloody move. Even in this setting, the possibilities were endless, and Anthyn always looked out for ways to extract her miserable pleasure. She had plotted the Skakdi's direction of flight in her mind and prepared to intercept him before he got too far. Her wings were spread and she jumped upon a hut, intending to come down like a bird of prey capturing a rodent. An abrupt thumping sound from beyond her sight told her the Skakdi had run over a table or something, but she soon found out that was not the case, as just when she crested over the hut and prepared to glide into the Skakdi's path she halted herself at the unexpected sight of the one Skakdi being hounded by a slight toa who seemed to be perniciously berating the Skakdi. "Do you want me to hollow your insides and mount you on the mast of my ship like a cap on a pen? Do you care if I flay you alive and then turn your skin into a flag?~" As the Valkyr payed closer attention to what the little toa was saying, though, she found much about those words to enjoy. If anything, seeing the girl bark with a pout at the Skakdi brought a tear to Anthyn's eye, a tear of joy. But alas, people still looked to her to give order to the situation, and her magnificent visage on the top of a house wasn't earning her any points for quality right then. Finally, she jumped off and swooped in next to Anyanka. "Hello, darling," she cooed to the chick as she folded her wings behind her. A spark of love flashed from her insidious eyes and a brief simper spread on her face as she spoke to her counterpart. "This one's done me wrong, too. How about you help me take him away and we can both teach him justice?" she cooed.

"He wronged you, too?" Anyanka gasped, turning from the angel to the Skakdi and suddenly looking at him as though he had just taken Anthyn's prized teddy bear and then tossed it into the air only to hit it with a spiked mace, fill its head with oatmeal, and then throw it at a homeless orphan. A sort of dull grey - almost black - smoke, mysterious and frightful, filled Anyanka's coffee-brown eyes, subtly implying all sorts of painful ways for the Skakdi to receive justice, each only increasing in its torment and longevity. "You ingrate."

Together with Anthyn - though neither of them needed the help - the somnambulist hefted the Skakdi to his feet and then looked down towards Marine HQ. Suddenly, a brief flash of memory jumped in her chest, and it seemed as though the world itself had suddenly performed a heartbeat around her. Anthyn, the Skakdi, the people: everything pulsed outwards for the briefest of seconds in her minds eye, liquefying, caught in some sort of divine wave, and then sucking back in as though nothing had happened. The Toa blinked, and her look of wild happiness increased exponentially.

"Follow me!" she chirped, pulling the Skakdi along with Anthyn as she half-paced, half-skipped in the direction of the Marines headquarters. "I know all sortsa justice!"

IC: Savina - Liara's Home, Ga-koro -

Savina and Tehlin walked into Liara's home, heading straight for the examining room. Savina couldn't help but be impressed with it, though everything seemed to impress her considering she used to live in a cave.

"Wow you have a lot of stuff, you must be a really good doctor."

Ic: Anthyn had the Skakdi's shoulder tightly in her grip and she could hear the faint but delightfully sickening sound of muscles being ground ou and armor being fractured slowly. The Skakdi howled in pain and Anthyn slammed her palm into his mouth, halting it instantly and almost snapping his head off like a ball on a tee. "You're a big brave dog and you've got nerve to boot. Now shut up and stay that way until you're spoken to," she threatened, "or I swear your skin will be my newest piece of upholstery. Understand?"

The Skakdi's huge eyes, filled with fright, glared at Anthyn in a sidelong stare. He was in it for the long haul. Even as Anthyn released her hold on his face his hole remained agape but silent, to shocked to utter a word. Only a painful moan escaped, slight and whimpery.

Anthyn liked that. It reminded her of Embok. Man, she was sure good at making men shut up and she allowed herself a grin of pleasure at this realization as they came near to the headquarters.

Anyanka shivered noticeably at the cracking sounds underneath the armor of the Skakdi's shoulder, but not in fear, or revulsion, but almost in nostalgia; the Toa's pretty face was dreamy, but excited, and her step had a visible spring to it as they walked to Marine HQ.

"That sound reminds me of crackers..." she said softly, almost to herself. "Crackers in soup. You know any good soup recipes, Mr. Ingrate? Hmmph? Soup?"

Silence: only the Skakdi's labored breaths escaped, and Anyanka pouted, squeezing his wrist until she could feel his hand going limp from lack of blood flow. An excited giggle escaped the well of her throat, and the smoky texture of her eyes seemed to intensify, momentarily sharpen, as she drank in the look of pain on his face.

"Really? None? Not a soup fan?" she asked him rhetorically as they approached the front doors of the Marine HQ; the two door guards parted, visibly awed by Anthyn's presence in their midst, and the two ladies and their carrion had no difficulty entering the complex. "What a barbarian."
