IC IraDiscouraged, Ira caused flames to surround Cy and to follow him around. not only would they hurt like karz, they would also impede with his view and hopefully break his concentration, which would dissapate the vacuums. He began absorbing heat from all around to help him maintain his supply of energy.

IC-Iulius:"Fair enough. Well, hopefully your Ussal will fit in the elevator."IC-KuAnLo:A vacuum. Cute. KuAnLo seemed to disregard the vacuum about him, knowing that if the Toa kept up large vacuums about multiple opponents like he was, he would likely be drained of EE quickly, especially if he were to have them continue to move. However, he did proceed to create several stone arrows, launching them into the air about Cy, so that if he were to dodge one there was a possibility he would hit another-especially if one took into account KuAnLo's Sanok. No matter what, dodging about those would take up too much concentration to keep up the vacuums. The next thing he did was run at Onyx, continuing with his general penchant never to stay on the same opponent for long, in any large fight.

OOC: So......looks like I'm still alive after contemplating suicide over AC3 ending.I might have missed something concerning Slate. If so, please do tell.IC: Aurum - JL - ArgentumAurum had had better days. So far, he was fighting 2 Toa who seemed to only just realize he was using illusions after having seen it done like, 10 times. On the other hand, was somebody with a saw built into his armor, and he seemed to be high off rage. And then, he also seemed to be just sitting there, letting him bleed himself to death. He heard Madrihk's call. Knowing that stronger opponents would be there, and that he was so far still absorbing metal from the surrounding ring of debris, he'll just have to silence what he can for now.Deven shouldn't have sat down. A metal spike protruded off the ground right beneath his bottom. Meanwhile, Aurum had left, jumping from tree to tree towards where Madrihk was.=====JL had finished bandaging himself. So far, no pain was felt, and he had replenished enough EE to fight again - Or rather, not fight. Stepping out of the hut, sword in hand, he walked off to the fight. He heard Madrihk's call. He knew that there would be a lot of bloodshed, so he sought to stop the Followers of Makuta in their tracks. He ran towards the battle, behind Madrihk.OOC: So who is attacking Madrihk and Co. that I can attack?=====Argentum had been sitting around, quite simply because he couldn't keep up with the battle. No, it wasn't because of his slow reaction time; Rather, it seemed that everyone he attacked to help out someone else, that someone else would prefer if he didn't intrude. So there really was nobody he could fight right now.2 of his blades were in his hands. The other 8, they were floating around him, like planets orbiting a sun. As he stood, he heard Madrihk's call. And strode forwards.OOC: So, again, I'm looking for some FoM to attack with 2 unoccupied chars. (Meaning unless GH comes back or something, the only people I can attack without others getting annoyed is Skaaraa and Ira)

IC: "Track 'em? She can't have been moved far.""No," Aexias replied, gaze moving from where she had seen the vortixx stumble. "Zere is much to be done yet besides tracking escapees. You take ze prisoner to base and guard him. I vill return in six hours."Zunod scratched the back of his neck. "You really think this 'Hydrangea' guy or whatever is really gonna go for that? Fighting with those wounds and without a partner?"It was his awkward way of expressing concern for her. So typical of Zunod. Aexias snorted slightly. "Do not meddle in my affairs, partner. Zere are still people to kill." He shrugged. She smirked. They parted ways; he slipping into the jungle with the unconscious Ve-Toa held over his shoulder in a fireman's carry, her melting into the ruins of the village.

OOC: Alright, nice to be meeting you all! Vitae, a solo Toa of the Green, is currently in the Le-Koro jungle, not too far to the east of Pala-Koro. Here's her profile (yes, I've posted it in the Profile topic as well):

Name: VitaeAliases: "Jungle Phantom," "Vahika," "Spirit of the Swamp"Species: Toa of the GreenAlignment: Generally against Makuta, but specifically more aligned with the Matoran. Of course, almost no Matoran even know of her existence...Mask: A dented and slightly mud-spattered Kanohi Volitak, which was originally colored silver. Now, however, it is in shades and splotches of green and brown.Appearance: Standing tall and lean, but with organic tissue that appears practically made of muscle, Vitae has thin, light, armor which was once in shades of green and blue. Now, the blue has faded almost entirely, leaving her in shades of dark forest green. She carries a number of custom-fashioned daggers at her waist, some of which are dented and scarred from repeated use.Tools: A number of custom-made daggers, which Vitae has fashioned from any metallic Protodermis she could find. As such, some of these are unreliable, especially those which she has re-used frequently.Powers: As a Toa of the Green, Vitae can create, control, and destroy plant life as long as the necessary materials (as a general rule, any solid matter will do) are available.Personality: Vitae is generally quiet, and makes quite a mysterious figure to observers. She also tends to be slightly introspective. Originally, she was rather talkative and friendly, but little to no evidence of this original personality is left.Fighting Style: Vitae uses her light armor to her advantage in combat by performing acrobatic dodges and lunges. She perfers striking from ambush using her Volitak and makeshift daggers, but is fairly formidable in close combat as well.Biography: Created quite accidentally as a female Toa of the Green, Vitae was once a member of a Toa Team long gone. In the distant Southern Islands, her team protected isolated villages, battling predatory Rahi, scattered Visorak scouts, and the occasional attacking force from other parts of the universe. They lived this way for the majority of 50,000 years, gaining experience and wisdom along the way. However, nearly 50,000 years after the team was formed... the Great Cataclysm shook the universe. Mighty earthquakes sent seventy-five-bio-high waves crashing into the southern islands, wiping out seaside towns and obilerating entire islands. During this period, one of Vitae's companions died, a brave Toa of Iron who used the last of his Elemental Energy to stop a falling building long enough for the rest of the team to evacuate. All that was left intact was a broken piece of his Kanohi, a gunmetal gray Pakari. The loss hit the entire team hard, but they struggled onward. Aftershocks from the cataclysm still threatened Matoran villages, so the team mobilized to protect the region. This, unfortunately, required splitting up and traveling to multiple islands - during this period, the team lost five members to an unusually large bioquake. Over the next thousand years, the remainder of the team tried to fulfill their old role in a changed universe.Down to only four members - a Toa of Water, a Toa of Fire, a Toa of Earth, and Vitae herself - the team finally decided that they were ineffective in such a wide area as the Southern Islands, and so began to travel northward, purchasing a small boat and hiring a skeleton crew of Matoran. Their passage was fairly uneventful, and they passed by the two great continents without much interference. However, when they reached Metru Nui - the City of Legends, formerly home to one of the greatest Toa teams - the city was in shambles. The team saw many signs of life - but all of them were merely Rahi. Not a single Matoran or Toa could be found in the entire city. Eventually, Vitae's Toa of Earth companion located a gap in Metru Nui's Great Barrier, leading to a just slightly upwards-angled waterway. The Matoran crew struggled to send the craft up the waterway, but things went wrong almost immediately. Upon entering the left fork of a splitting tunnel, the entire craft was suddenly beseiged by searing heat. The team's only remaining Toa of Fire managed to absorb the heat into himself in an attempt the boat to pass, but the boat encountered a massive Rahi which nearly swamped it. Only a quick release of the absorbed energy saved the craft from destruction, but the effort involved in channeling the extreme amount of energy killed the Toa of Fire.Reduced to a mere three Toa, the team struggled onwards. The winding tunnels became slightly steeper as they progressed, and the Toa of Water had to use her power more and more to help the Matoran crew resist strong currents. Eventually, the team encountered a massive tentacled Rahi near the end of the passage, which grabbed the Toa of Water from the boat and killed her. The two remaining Toa struck in unison with their Elemental Powers, causing bonds of stone and seaweed to bind the squid-like creature long enough to escape. However, the damage had been done: the Toa team was down to two members, and the boat was badly damaged. The crew and their craft managed to survive to the voyage's end, coming out of a half-submerged seaside cave. However, the Great Temple squid had broken free of its bonds some time before, and now attempted to stop them from escaping the passage. However, the combined efforts of Vitae and her last remaining team member caused the passage to collapse on the creature, killing it and sealing off the way they had come. Before long, the boat was beached on the Mata Nui shoreline. The last of the remaining crew, along with Vitae and the Toa of Earth, ventured along the beach, where they soon found Ga-Koro.Though the crew remained there, Vitae and her Toa of Earth companion eventually grew restless. They longed to return to the life they had led nearly two thousand years before, and so ventured into the Le-Koro jungle. After the death of her companion while defending Matoran from a swarm of Nui-Rama, which occurred a few decades later, Vitae became a solitary dweller in the jungle, occcasionally venturing out to protect innocent Matoran or others. Due to this, she earned the nicknames "Jungle Phantom" and "Vahika" (or "Spirit of the Swamp" in English). She remains a minor figure in Le-Koro legend.Strengths: Vitae is extremely agile, able to easily execute acrobatic leaps and lunges which would leave most Toa in awe. Her improvised throwing daggers fit well into this fighting style, allowing her to fling one from a distance or lunge in with a thrust.Weakness(es): Due to her elemental affliation, Vitae is vulnerable to extremely high or low amounts of heat. She can stand more humid climates, but hot, dry areas often leave her weaker than usual, and icy climates tend to slow her substantially. In addition to this, Vitae's daggers are sometimes unreliable in close combat, and her already thin armor has been weakened by living in the jungle.Status: Currently living in the Le-Wahi jungle, attempting to save as many innocent lives as possible, especially from the forces of Makuta.

Moving on now:

The green leaves of the Le-Wahi jungle rustled slightly in a breeze. To an observer, a confusing tangle of vines, bushes, and trees was all that would be visible, with perhaps the occasional Brakas swinging from vines in the distance. Not for the first time, any observer would have been wrong.Vitae crept silently through the undergrowth of the Le-Wahi jungle. Recently, she had heard rumor of a village known only as "Pala-Koro," and she was out to investigate. Some of her "informants" - well, to be honest, they were all unsuspecting Le-Matoran, who had no idea that Vitae was hiding in the bushes nearby - had claimed it was a shelter for the foes of Makuta, others that it was a fortress of war - but either way, there would be innocents in need of saving, or those who could help to protect them. Vitae had reasoned that in either case, it was her duty to investigate, and went in search of Pala-Koro.It had been frustrating at first - but lately, Vitae had been hearing slight sounds of battle over the noises of the jungle. Fortunately, her time spent in the jungle had given her an uncanny sense of which sounds were natural and which were not - and to her trained senses, the sounds of harsh metal on metal all but screamed that they were signs of war.Making sure for the seventh time that her Mask of Stealth was activated, Vitae cautiously peered through the leaves onto the Lake Pala beach. In order to ensure that she was not being tracked by any beings on the beach or in the lake, she had taken her journey slowly and silently ever since passing by Le-Wahi's southern bay. Her frequent visual checks also allowed her to keep an eye on the fortress on the horizon, which seemed to have a sizeable hole - namely, a wide-open gate - built into its walls.Walls with holes aren't that effective, she noted half-sarcastically. Something really should be done about that.Vitae crept closer, using the plants surrounding her as camoflauge. Now, she could see through the hole in the fortress walls, and behold utter madness. Toa dueled Toa, vicious Skakdi clashed again and again - all of her instincts told her that this was insane.Without any clear idea of who she could aid - and, more importantly, who she should aid - Vitae decided not to enter in battle for the moment. Instead, she lurked near the edges of the jungle, waiting to see who she could save from their untimely demise - or who she could pounce upon to end their threat to the Matoran of Mata Nui.

OOC:Vitae is perfectly open for interaction or combat right now, as long as any characters involved have a legitimate way of detecting a sneaky Toa of Plant Life with a Volitak in a jungle.

The next thing he did was run at Onyx, continuing with his general penchant never to stay on the same opponent for long, in any large fight.
IC: Onyx (Village Centre)Onyx knew to keep a keen eye on Zenix to watch out for any more tricks but he wasn't unaware of his surroundings. The sound of footsteps came more so from the side and a figure emerged from the dark, revealing a Toa running towards him. If one paid close enough attention, his appearance wasn't a very pleasant sight, nor did it scream 'ally of the ILF'. The last thing he needed was a second enemy but there was no complaining in the midst of battle. Only the hope that someone would come along to help held firm inside of the Fe-Toa.From his position, there was very little he could apart from launching some cannonballs, rubble or spears and that only ended up in dodges and misses. So instead he waited, bracing himself for whatever came his way.

IC: As he scouted with Leah ahead of the other four, Lepidran was still inwardly groaning at Stannis choice of answer. "We will wander" really? He couldn't just say "we're going to Ga-Koro, they have plenty of boats there" or "we're going to find some pirates but they're a bit shady so I don't want to say it aloud"? Being a monk of sorts didn't mean he had to be cryptic all the time did it? He could explain things to them, they were all Chosen Ones. Actually what was the plural of Chosen One? Perhaps he should-aah, Fikou web!Lepidran made a mental note to stop worrying about semantics when he was trying to navigate through hostile territory. Messing up one of the few things he was actually useful for in the group wasn't going to help

IC: Kythera"Kythera," the Vortixx replied, opening her eyes to glance at the liquid. It didn't look all that great, but if he said it would help, well, then Kythera wanted it. She drank in sips, as anything more was painful, but she soon finished it. It was now that she took the time to look around the building. "What is this place?" She asked, not having time to look around the Koro before it was attacked.

OOC: How does everyone have Arthrons here? :P And part of the idea would be that her shape was hard to make out since she's hidden in jungle foliage (which is solid), but I can work with this.Where is JL, by the way, and what is he about to do?...Another thing. I may have failed to mention Vitae's slight sarcastic streak. :P

Vitae remained hidden in the jungle, being careful to conceal herself behind foliage and to move as little as possible. A quick twitch when she readied her weapons might have given her away to a skilled user of an Arthron or similar mask, but...Wait, twitching?Vitae spared a moment to look down at her left hand, which was indeed shaking just slightly in her dagger's grip.What... oh, great, I'm getting nervous. Just because this is the first real battle I've even considered taking part in in a few centuries now doesn't mean...Wait, yes it does. Karz, Vitae finished.Looking up, Vitae noticed a few things which had changed in the few seconds she'd been reflecting. One, a Toa wearing an Arthron had actually just spared a glance her way - not a good sign. Two, said Toa was pursuing another Toa, who appeared to be... flying? Or perhaps floating?Whatever the case, Vitae realized, she had best prepare to defend herself. She grasped her daggers more tightly, and the vines around her began to slither ever so tightly as she focused with her powers, testing the environment immediately around herself and taking control. After a moment, Vitae had taken control of a rather conveniently placed tree, which happened to be not far behind her. Some other plant life responded to her mental touch as well, vines ready to act as tentacles or a last-second shield at a moment's notice. She was ready.

IC: Onyx (Village Centre)But Onyx had an idea which was the real one. He had never let Zenix out of his sight and for more of his clones to suddenly burst into existence behind him was enough indication that they weren't real, merely illusions. Whatever the case, he'd soon find out. Literally breaking out of cover, he lifted a pile of debris composed of planks of wood, rocks, dirt and other objects of the like as he burst forward, watching the junk sail in the air. Whatever copies it flew straight through would single them out as illusions while whatever hit solid armour, even a small wood chip, would reveal the real Zenix.

IC: Esao (Pala-Koro)"My best guess? Bar and grill," Esao said, standing and moving over to the area behind the counter, where various foods and drinks were neatly organized. Taking out the materials necessary for a fruit salad, Esao withdrew a clean knife and began to slice up a mango. "Plenty of culinary evidence to support it, but it really doesn't matter. For now, it's a well-supplied, fortifiable position that can be used as a field hospital."He finished up slicing the first mango and put a couple of the extra cubes onto a plate; clearing the distance between himself and the Vortixx in a couple minutes, the archer laid the plate out gently on her lap and then moved back towards the counter.-Teezy

OOC: Unless she's inside a tree trunk, we'd at least get a good idea.JL truly doesn't have much to do right now. So...interact?IC: JLJL wasn't far away from where the hidden person was. While he couldn't see her, or know the exact place, he could determine the approximate area. Which was all he needed, as he created an Electromagnetic field around Vitae, forcing her downwards and trapping her on the spot. While she could still move, she couldn't move away from the area.JL approached, now fully knowing where Vitae was since she was a disturbance in his electromagnetic field. "Who are you?" He asked, and more importantly, "And which side are you on?"

IC, Zenix: Zenix dropped to the ground, and so did all the illusionary copies. Whatever debris there was merely flew over them, and only one copy was hit, which soon vanished. Zenix and the copies stood up again and continued to move forward. Zenix created another line of Blackfire at Onyx, and the clones created fake lines of Blackfire. Zenix didn't care if Onyx got hurt or not. Zenix merely wanted Onyx to get the message that he and the other Followers were not to be messed with.

IC: KytheraThe Xian looked from the plate of chopped-up mango to Esao and back again. Food wasn't exactly that high on the list of things she wanted, but it was there infront of her, so she would eat it. "...Thanks?" Kythera said, taking one of the cubes in a clawed hand before tossing it into her mouth. It tasted like a mango, no surprize there, but it did help her take her mind off of the slowly fading pain.

IC: Onyx (Village Centre)Unfortunately for Zenix, that message went both ways and neither had yet to be received. When each and every one of them dropped to the ground, that gave Onyx a good amount of time to make a move before Zenix could get back up and declare that attack of his. The moment the Toa's body hit the ground, the dirt shifted with the brush of his body against it, revealing his true location. So Onyx closed the small gap between them with surprising speed, his shield just inches away from a hand now spewing fiery black doom, colliding with cool steel. He attempted to knock the hand away with one swift bash of his shield, which would be followed up by a horizontal swing of his mace for the ribs. Even if the attack was dodged, Onyx would continue to stay close now that he had a defence mechanism against the fire.

IC: Esao (Pala-Koro)"Don't mention it," the Toa of Fire said absently, twirling one of his arrows around his fingers before stabbing over the back of his shoulder, kebabing three apples. Pulling them off, they, too, were cut up and added to the slowly growing fruit salad, followed by strawberries, peaches, raspberries, blueberries, and various other sweets. When it was done, Esao took a chilled flask of Bula juice and shook it up before marinating the salad in the refreshing liquid and sat down at the counter, taking a fork and munching on it.This may have seemed odd to Kythera, but to Esao, it was perfectly natural: the wounded Vortixx had to be guarded, and Esao was running on low reserves. Eating to keep his strength up was the best possible move.-Teezy

IC: Kythera"Right, okay," The Vortixx replied, munching on the last mango cube. Seeing as there wasn't much to do besides rest, Kythera did her best to get comfortable. Her wounded back made it hard, but she managed. Finding something under her, Kythera unbuckled her belt, and pulled it out from under her, the twin pistols holstered on it. Wait, her pistol."Say, you wouldn't happen to be able to thaw this out?" she asked Esao, holding out the pistol frozen by Hiemalis to him, Part of the ice had already begun to melt, but Kythera feared it wouldn't be fast enough.

OOC:I personally don't think so, but we already have two canon explanations as to how it would be easier (both general area and the fact that Vitae just might be slightly nervous after not being in a "real" battle against more than infected/wild Rahi for centures). Ruling: the action is acceptable. :P

Quite suddenly, the blue-and-gray Jungle Toa found her limbs drawn inexplicably downwards and outwards. By the time she realized the source - namely, the Toa of Magnetism now advancing on her location - a full-fledged field of magnetic energy had formed, effectively pinning her to the ground. Though the field itself was nothing particularly strong, and it might be slightly less effective against Vitae due to her thinner armor, it nonetheless pinned her down quite effectively - even if surprise was just as big a factor in its doing so as power. In the moment Vitae was stunned, the field effectively dragged her to her knees. The shock also made it hard to keep her focus on her Volitak, which nearly made her fade back into full visibility. As it was, the sudden and unnatural motion, plus the fact that her Volitak was half-deactivated for a second or more, would make her an incredibly obvious target for any observervant combatants outside the village."Who are you?" the strange Toa asked. Before Vitae could respond, though, he continued. "And which side are you on?"Vitae took a moment to weigh her options. The strange Toa was apparently a Toa of Magnetism, which meant that his powers were less effective on Vitae than they might be on other, heavier-armored Toa. However, Vitae was still a mostly mechanical being, and JL's magnetic field was certainly having an effect. The other Toa might be a factor as well - was he an ally, or an enemy? After a moment's thought, Vitae decided on a proper course of action. Being made of entirely organic material, JL's magnetic field would have little to no effect on the nearby plant life - and any plant life was an asset to Vitae's cause. Plant life began to grow and mutate behind JL - and with his focus on Vitae, he would have little chance of noticing. With effort, Vitae struggled to her feet. She opened her mouth and said only one word in reply."Vahika."Immediately afterwards, Vitae triggered her Mask of Stealth, half-vanishing from JL's sight. At the same time, vines lashed from Vitae's mutated plants and from the jungle, grabbing JL's ankles and wrists. Of course, Vitae didn't expect the attack to harm the strange Toa of Magnetism - no, instead she used it as a diversion. With JL's focus elsewhere, his magnetic field would vanish. Vitae would then leap upwards and to the left - into the cover of a nearby branch. She didn't expect JL to lose track of her, though - his Mask of Sonar could find her as soon as - or even before - he had dealt with the vines. As such, the tree in which she landed began to... move. Leaves flew off, vines lashed out at random, and the tree and its surrounding companions generally did a very good job of making as much motion as possible. With JL's Mask of Sonar obscured, Vitae's Mask of Stealth was certainly enough to shield her from his eyes - and to confuse him further, she leapt upwards once more and into a nearby tree, under cover of flying leaves and vines, to make her hard to pin down with more magnetic tricks.

OOC: And this post marks the reason why paying attention is a good thing.IC: JLThe greatest mistake made by Vitae would probably have been not knowing JL's real element and believing it was Magnetism. JL, of course, didn't know that, but didn't care anyways. His mask had told him of the plant behind him well before it had grabbed him; something so close and growing so large was hard to miss, and while tree's were fully organic, that didn't mean they weren't effected by kinetic energy, heat energy, and this would be his advantage."So, you're gonna fight me without even answering my question, huh," He said, as he swung his sword backwards, cutting off the vines just as they reached his limbs. Turning, he found himself with the tree's giving cover to Vitae. But that didn't matter.JL held up his sword, and with a slashing motion, brought it down to strike the ground. As soon as he did, a lightning bolt arced from the sky to strike the trees in front of him.

IC: KytheraThe Vortixx accepted the pistol with a nod, and help the piece of technology in both hands. With a finger, she pressed a lever on the side of it, before cracking the case open like a clam shell. Having designed the twin weapons herself, Kythera knew exactly how they went together, and when smething was broken. Holding the weapon up, she inspected it for damage. Some of the wiring may have been cracked, but it didn't look like it. Satisfied, Kythera closed the weapon up, flipped the lever back in place, and decided on one final test.Ajusting herself slightly, Kythera held the pistol towards the floor, before pulling the trigger. No sound was made as the pale-blue bolt shot out and collided with the ground. It left a considerable hole in the floor, and Kythera decided it was still functional. "Thank you."

OOC:...I actually knew his element was Electricity (looked it up in the Profile topic), but the only attack Vitae saw him use was a magnetic one.

Vitae saw the Toa slashing, but didn't catch the intent of the action until moments later - and it was no coincidence that the goal only became clear when a lance of lightning forked and struck the treetops above her.Lightning!? Vitae thought in near-shock as the treetops above her burst into flame. Why does it have to be lightning?Leaping from the trees as they burst into flame, Vitae launched one final attack. Using her power over the Green, she caused the trees' trunks to snap. This attack served two purposes - it both helped to prevent a major forest fire and served to turn JL's own attack against him. The trees would be difficult to dodge due to their size, and could pin JL under them if they hit successfully. However, they were slightly slow to fall, so JL could feasibly dodge the attack if he wasn't too focused on Vitae's dodge.Vitae hit the ground and rolled, coming up on both feet in a fighting stance. She readied both of her daggers and whirled, ready to face the Toa of Lightning's almost inevitable attack...

IC: Kiron and SulkuaKiron heard tree branches creak to his left, and turned, spotting several branches bending for no apparent reason in a row... as if someone were jumping on them."He';s there!" Kiron lunched a blast of flame at the branch that creaked now, and Sulkua launched a thin sheet of ice, slicing the nearest branches off.OOC: That's Aurum.

OOC: Why do you use spoilers, and why are your posts so big? I hate walls of text. Makes it hard to read. Also, the entire village walls were blown up, quite a lot of Toa of Fires showed up, and bombs were blown up, so I don't think there are no forest fires at all at that time.IC: JL - AurumA counterattack was easy. Vitae gave him a place to go, so an electromagnetic field pushed him away from the fires and towards Vitae. As he did, he conjured up an electric cage around Vitae.Streaks of blue energy rose from the ground, quickly surrounding Vitae, like a blue glowing birdcage. A side effect was the electromagnetic shield produced; Vitae would have trouble simply moving around inside the cage.=====Aurum heard Kiron shout and leapt to the next branch as fire and ice came together on the previous one. Reaching the clearing what was once the village, he leapt, now past what used to be the walls of the village, and turned to face his aggressors.

I see no reason to not use spoiler boxes, to be honest (as they're a decent and easy way to prevent OOC text from cluttering posts and making them longer). She's just trying to prevent more fires in the area, y'see. I've assumed that there are already some fires, but having one right behind her burning through her supply of her element... yeah, not a tactical advantage.I... really don't think my posts are that big. But here's an even shorter one for now, as I don't want complaints or infighting or anything of the like.

Seeing JL beginning to slide out from under the trees, Vitae leapt his way. The result was that she recieved a minor shock from the Toa of Lightning's cage, but managed to pass through the area before the majority of it had formed. In the meantime, Vitae's leap took her almost directly next to JL. Rather than attempting to thrust, however, as he might expect, she rolled and came up behind him - in the process, dragging her more durable dagger in the dirt to get a coating of dirt and sand on its blade.Rising to her feet behind JL, Vitae would then press her dirt-covered dagger point to his back in order to present a fairly clear threat."More importantly... who are you?"

By all means, feel free to combo-break the last half of this post. Just please try to be polite about it, though, instead of just, say, bashing her face in with that sword. I'd really rather not have my second character in this RP be killed off before she can be developed.

IC: a vortixx limped towards JL and Vitae. "You're fighting her because she freaked out? She's obviously not a follower of makuta. They tend not to ask who you are before killing you. " Deven shrugged. "There are better targets. Or you could help Madrihk and leave the talking to the guy that can't fight."

No such thing as destiny.

In order to make his attack more effective, however, JL would have to have made another contact point between himself and Vitae. The Toa of the Green's dagger point - currently the only contact point between the two - was still covered in dirt and mud - which, although it dulled the blade significantly, also helped to insulate Vitae from the shock which she had known would be forthcoming."I asked you the question, and you attacked me in return. Too bad," the Toa of Lightning said. Vitae immediately shot back with a reply - or at least, she was about to before a wounded Vortixx limped up to the two combatants."You're fighting her because she freaked out?" the Vortixx asked. Vitae was almost going to object that she hardly "freaked out," but the Vortixx continued. "She's obviously not a follower of Makuta. They tend not to ask who you are before killing you."Stepping back from JL, Vitae wiped the dirt off her dagger - noting in the process that it had indeed been weakened significantly by being scraped along the ground - and nodded."I'm fairly sure we can all agree that we're on the same side here," the usually silent Toa of the Green said. "There may have been some... confusion as to our respective alliances."With that, Vitae readied her daggers once more. With her cover fairly well-ruined, she had no option but to stay and fight - and she was fairly certain that these two at least could be on her side.Well, if those two are... who isn't?

IC: Deven moved with almost impossible speed for someone in his state, staff whirring and deflecting a stray flame blast. The staff shut off, blades folding in and becoming a normal metal staff once more. He nodded at the fight, satisfied that there were no more attacks coming his way and turned back to the others.

IC: Aurum - JLJL readied his sword. "Well, I guess even stupid can turn into clever. Come on." He ran towards the heart of the battle.=====Aurum figured that Kiron and Sulkua still hadn't learned how to work together, as the ice and fire met together in mid-air, cancelling each other out. "cool dudes," He muttered under his breath.

IC (Avya)I quickly began making my way back to the village, Hasil by my side. I scanned the rubble and half-destroyed buildings for any sign of the Toa of Ice that we pursued. The rain came steadily down, keeping any fires to a smoulder, but smoke filled the night, making it difficult to see and breathe.Esao and Nova were gone as well, but I didn't have time to wonder where they'd gone. The only thought on my mind was finding Hiemalis, and making him pay.

IC (Avya)"So far, yes," I replied, more of my attention on trying to locate Hiemalis through the rain and smoke than answering Hasil's question. "That Skakdi was the first attacker I've fought, and we took him out."The ILF forces were scattered, surprised and scared by the explosions that racked the village, but the invaders seemed equally chaotic. All I could see were small, one-on-one battles; there was no grand strategy of any kind.
