Just Hero Factory would have too few pieces; just Bionicle would limit the constraction building pieces. Both together would be interesting. The BIONICLE style build advanced over the years, but it always kept certain core elements. If the same happens with the Hero Factory build, the evolution of it could eventually lead into the resurgence of BIONICLE in that style. They simply wouldn't go back to the old style, I doubt they even have all thos epieces being produced anymore. But what do I know? It's a fresh change-up with really useful parts, and can be expanded easily and cleanly to both larger and smaller sets. I like it.I wouldn't mind having new molds to fit in with the old, greebled style of BIONICLE (as opposed to the sleekness of Hero Factory), but really, I don't care what LEGO calls them. Naturally when I say the HF building system, I'm talking about the ball-and-socket based builds, but not strictly about the HF parts currently available. Naturally by that time there might be advances in the building system-- personally I'm hoping someday we get a HF torso design with some degree of waist articulation, although that seems like it may be a pipe dream at the moment since armoring such a torso would be difficult.A lot of people feel the 2.0 building system is limited in design, but a person could have said the same thing about the Technic-based building system for constraction sets back in the time of the Throwbots. For two years there was only one leg joint design. But the Hero Factory building system is expanding at a wonderful rate with new parts like Waspix's piece for connecting his middle set of arms, the great assortment of bone pieces we've gotten so far, and of course brand-new pieces like the spherical shoulder-shell appearing in the early 2012 wave of sets.Others say the system is simple, but I think that's basically the point of a building system. It shouldn't depend on your ability to use advanced building techniques to make something decent-looking-- rather, it should be easy to make a unique-looking basic model, and the real challenge should come from moving on to more complex and unique models, as TLG has done with Toxic Reapa, Jawblade, and Thornraxx. Over the period that BIONICLE had existed, the sets were becoming simpler, and slightly sleeker; Hero Factory (as well as the lead into the possible return of BIONICLE) will probably follow this sort of evolution. (If that's even possible--the sets are already surprisingly sleek.
