Matoran Powers

Matoran can access one power through the use of a disk. It is a round disk that possesses a power, granted by the toa-gods, to the matoran who owns it. Power Disks, as they are called, cannot be used by anyone other than the original owner, and it is a powerless plate to anyone else. To use the disk’s power, it must be in physical contact with the matoran user, and the user must consciously activate the power. Unlike Kanoka, however, the Power Disks cannot be activated by being thrown or launched, and must have contact with their user. However, that is a moot point if the power of the disk is, say, a timed sonic strike. Also, if the matoran uses a tool, this can serve as an extension to the body and be used to have contact with the disk. While the disks can be forged into Kanohi, the process in which this is done is unknown and it is very rare to find matoran wearing powered Kanohi. This was previously done as another way for the Toa-Gods to honor select villagers, and it is an exceedingly great honor to have it done. So far, the Elders alone have the ability to forge Kanohi from the disks, and they don't take that knowledge lightly.When selecting the power for your villager, keep try to keep it original and exercise a common sense test to it. If it seems too powerful or subject to abuse, chances are it is, and if it is, I'll take action, so just be aware of this.

Name: JeldraxGender: MaleElement & Species: Ta-MatoranCharacter Appearance: Appears as a red and black matoran wearing a powerless noble Kiril that is red and black. Wears exterior, ebon black armoring on his right shoulder down to his elbow, along with a breastplate. His shield has the symbol of Frareo’s Best emblazoned on it. Both shield and sword are made of black metal. Keeps his swords sheathe on his belt.Power Disk: Power Disk of Shield Projection – Projects a four foot diameter circular shield of energyMask & Tools: As stated, a powerless Noble Kiril with black and red coloring. On the inside of his shield, his power disk has been attached, thus allowing him constant access to it – when his shield is being worn, his arm is directly on it. He wields a hand-and-a-half sword. Has a blacksmiths hammer.Character Biography: Jeldrax has been a member of Frareo’s Best for a long time, before the disappearance of the toa by many years, but before that was a simple blacksmith. Perhaps explaining why he is so strong. He forged his own weapons and armor, and even helped supply some of the other soldiers. One of their better warriors, he specializes in fighting against large but slow Rahi, and can usually be found, when not in the City, out hunting things that other Matoran fear to come close to with the help of his shielding.

Name: AiazoahGender: FemaleElement & Species: Ga-MatoranCharacter Appearance: Appears as a blue and purple female matoran wearing a powerless noble Komau that is blue and silver. She wears a sash emblazoned with the symbol of the Order of Calix. The sash is modified on her back to place her trident.Power Disk: Power Disk of Translating – The translation only works on what is written down.Mask & Tools: As stated, a powerless Noble Komau that is blue and silver. She has a trident with the symbols of each of the toa placed on it, and tipped with a map of the entire island that is only about five inches across and extremely hard to read. On the flip side from the symbols of the toa, each of their names is written down.Character Biography: A fisherwoman in the City of Water before, Aiazoah was always opting to perform spear fishing with her trident rather than more practical methods. Needless to say, during Rahi attacks she proved to be one of the best fighters, and one of the most agile.When the Order of Calix formed, she was quick to join. She makes use of her power disk to translate any old writings down so the Order can use them. She also placed the symbols on her trident during this time. Currently she acts as a field agent for them.

Name: ByrnGender: MaleElement and Species: Po-MatoranCharacter Appearance: Stocky, well-built Matoran. He is not brown, but black and tan; his mask is a black Kakama. His eyes are a piercing yellow. To protect himself from the sun, he wears a fedora, unwittingly making a homage to a certain human action hero.Power Disk: Moderate resistance to heat and coldMask and Tools: *Powerless black Kakama*Besides his disk, Byrne has a shovel, a pickaxe, and a rope with a hook at its end; also always makes sure to carry several days' worth of food and water. When forced to fight other Matoran, Byrn has demonstrated the surprising ability to wield the pickaxe and shovel as weapons; with them, he has fought swordsmen to a standstill on more than one occasion. (NOTE: Byrn is unusually physically weak for a Po-Matoran, and is weak at hand-to-hand combat; this was a leading reason in his inability to join the Disciples of Calibran)Character Biography: A failed inductee of the Disciples, Byrn used to make a living as a sailor on the Great Sand River; eventually, though, he became bored and decided to become an explorer. Tooled up with gear and wearing a rakish fedora, he now strikes boldly out into the wildernesses of every Wahi, searching for artifacts and secrets. Byrn is one of the few Po-Matoran on Kini Karda; however, he still has good relations with the Disciples, as he is good friends with several of its members.Byrn is impulsive and reckless, but he has a good heart and wants to make discoveries that will benefit all of the Matoran. -Shyyrn

The downside is that the user has to remain in constant focus or risk losing control.Mask and Tools: Powerless Akaku in the Nobleshape, Twin Swords and a DaggerCharacter Biography: Ramanox was one day found injured in Ta-Wahi, after being taken in by the family that found him, Ramanox was raised in Ta-Wahi despite being a Ko-Matoran. He trained with the military for a while, but because he felt the rules were too strict Ramanox left, he took up odd jobs here in there, before finally settling on being a courier, his stealthy nature and quick feet make him ideal for the job.Name: Lif RyfeGender: MaleElement and Species: Matoran of SonicsCharacter Appearance: Lif has the average Matoran build his mask is light blue, arms silver, and feet black.Power Disk: His Disk can copy the ability of one other disk in the area. This power will last until Lif copies someone else's disk.Mask and Tools: Rau, Journal in which he writes and draws, a harmonica, and a Telescope.Character Biography: Lif is one of the newest Matoran to be born and is thus very young. He lives in Ga-Wahi where the other Matoran often look down on him because of how different he is. Many find him strange and annoying especially due to his habit of asking questions all the time. He spends many hours a day just staring up at the sky. Due to this he hasn't been able to hold up a job of any sorts, or be a very good student, still he is very intelligent and wise but naive. Name: TryakhGender: MaleElement and Species: Ta-MatoranCharacter Appearance: Powerfully built due to years of training, his limbs and head are yellow while his body, hands and feet are red. The lenses of his Akaku's scope were damage in a skirmish and replaced with black smoked glass, giving him an almost piratical look. He wears his disk strapped to his back at all timesPower Disk: His disk has the power of forewarning, alerting him to incoming attacks by means of a tingle in the direction of the attack. It will always warn him to imminent lethal attack, but he has to focus to get a broader spectrumMask and Tools: Powerless Akaku. Bident. Small knifeCharacter Biography: Tryakh is a veteran of Frareo's Best, a serving member of the Army of Fire for many years. In his time he has been posted all around the island (excepting, of course, Po-Wahi). He joined as an idealist, a wide-eyed and rather naive Matoran who genuinely wanted to do good and help out his fellow islanders. But as he worked for the Army thethings he saw began to grind him down. Lost friends. The infinite pettiness of the people he wanted to help. The never-ending contination of it all...He has begun to loose faith in the abilities of Frareo's Best to have any impact, and strange feeling of pride and disloyalty are fusing within his muscled form.

Name: TyeranGender: MaleElement and Species: Le-MatoranCharacter Appearance: Wearing dark green, well used armor, Tyeran appears as if he has been through many battles. The mask he wears is a beat up, teal, powerless Noble Komau.Power Disk: Disk of Camoflage--Quiets the user, and makes the user seemingly disappear into the surroundings, not as visually powerful as a disk of invisibility.Mask and Tools: Komau, a longbow, and a dagger, as well as an observation journal.Character Biography: Tyeran has lived a rough life as a ranger. The few times weekly he publically appears in the City of Trees, he tends to get into an argument or scuffle. While he is not on the best of terms with the Army of Fire, he does have some respect from them as he is good at catching the real criminals. He lives about ten minutes away from the city, just close enough to catch anyone who is running away from the law through his area. He was just visiting the City of Fire when this bio was written.

Her face would be described with a 'blah!' because it is a forgery of a G. MiruPower Disk: Manipulaton of Intangibility(Only foreign objects by touching them.) Has to remain focused to work.Mask and Tools: Pakari(Powerless), Dual Sided Trident.Character Biography: Traya is a selfish Disciple of Calibran. She only cares for herself and her work, even though she respects her superiors. Though she isn't liked, she fights for a cause. Name: Decaia.Gender: Male.Element and Species: Ga-Matoran.Character Appearance: Decaia is of normal Matoran height, and he bears little difference from a regular Ga-Matoran -- aside from being male. His armor is silver and blue in color and he wears a belt around his waist, on which various pouches, his Power Disk and his tomahawks are held.Power Disk: Decaia's Power Disk bears the power of a Kanohi Kakama; with it, he can increase the speed at which he moves, as well as his reflexes.Mask and Tools: Decaia wears a powerless, Faxon-shaped Kanohi Kakama. His primary set of tools is also a pair of tomahawks.Character Biography: A fisherman and a sailor, Decaia is no stranger to the open waters. He spends much of his time on a boat, helping to either fish or deal with sea-based problems. While he does not formally associate himself with any of the factions, he keeps note of their activities and is willing to lend a hand to help out whichever one is willing to pay him; as such he is partially seen as a smuggler of sorts by other Matoran, as well as a traitor by some members of the various groups. Typically, he ignores these claims, instead going about his normal life as well as he can.

Name: XyronGender: MaleElement and Species: Le-MatoranCharacter Appearance: A slender green Matoran with a teal mask.Power Disk: Gravity: can make objects heavier or lighter to a small degree. He uses his disk to help him stay light as he travels through the treetops.Mask and Tools: Great Matatu (Powerless, of course) and a sharp machete for cutting through the jungle.Character Biography: He is a hunter, searching the island for game animals to capture. Because of this, he is very in-tune to nature, and he can traverse the forest as well as any beast. He primarily hunts in the jungle, but he has also traveled to other parts of the island. As such, he is sometimes used as a messenger or trader between distant villages. He is sympathetic to the Order of Calix, but is currently not a member. Being a free spirited hunter, he is also known to dislike the order that Frareo’s Best has brought to the villages, although he does not openly oppose them.

Name: CalikGender: MaleElement and Species: Ta-MatoranCharacter Appearance: An almost vibrant red Matoran, with two katana strapped to his back. He wears a Nui-Jaga skull as a helmet.Power Disk: Disintegration Mask and Tools: Two katana, and a powerless PakariCharacter Biography: All through his life, Calik found himself craving glory. Even before the Toa left, Calik found himself embittered to the civilization of Kini Karda. At an early age, he’d established himself as a skilled and ruthless.However, many people see his hard exterior as an uncaring interior. To the contrary, he really does care about people, but has great trouble showing it. But you can see it in his eyes, he’s not a stone-cold killer, but more of a vigilante, trying to bring about good in his own way.Name: TrunGender: MaleElement and Species: Onu-MatoranCharacter Appearance: A stout, tan and yellow Matoran. He wear’s a beige scarf and a metal pot on his head.Power Disk: FireMask and Tools: A noble (powerless) Ruru, and a metal pot.Character Biography: No one quite know where Trun came from. He was always kind of a nomad, traveling from city to city, learning things from different people. He would also teach many a person. His blunt and truthful way of speaking often showed people a truth they hadn’t seen before. Hardly as wise as the Elders, Trun is still quite knowledgable, and has no qualms about sharing that knowledge with people. Name: LithusGender: FemaleElement and Species: Ga-MatoranCharacter Appearance: A short, scrawny Matoran with armour of varying shades of blue. She has the appearance of someone who hasn’t had a square meal or a warm bed in quite some time.Power Disk: Healing (only works on others)Mask and Tools: A noble (powerless) Rau, as well as a length of chain she uses for self-defense. She also owns a small cart, which she carries her wares in.Character Biography: Growing as beggar on the streets of Kini Karda, Lithus’ life was a daily struggle to survive. She had no family or friends, no roots, and no skills. The only thing that kept her alive, was thievery. She was a pickpocket and thief, snatching money, food, even books. At first, she stole only what she needed, but soon an idea formed: steal things other people would want, and sell them. It worked, and now provides her a meager living. Lithus still has to steal, but some things, like food or lodging, she’s able to purchase.-Void

Oh how unprepared I was!Name: RomulusGender: MaleElement and Species: Matoran of FireCharacter Appearance: Standard appearance with average height, he is a little bit lankier than the rest, though. He seems friendly and casual, though this turns rigid and stern when in his full capacity. He has a red torso and red arms and legs with orange feet, and he has a pair of golden tattoos on his shoulders to show his rank. Power Disk: His disk allows him to create a sonic boom, with the option of making it timed. As a result, he can activate his power and throw his weapon, making the boom elsewhere. Since he isn’t immune to his own power, he usually uses the timed option. The boom itself is powerful enough to shatter fragiles and deafen people for a little while.Mask and Tools: Romulus wears a powerless orange Great Kaukau and a short sword carried at his side. Character Biography: Rom, as he’s called by friends, is one of the Army of Fire’s best troops and serves as Kondam’s aide at large. Ranked as a lieutenant, he travels a lot and inspects things in lieu of Kondam, serving as the senior general’s eyes and ears and, in some cases, face.

When awakened, he began babbling on about random things and claimed to remember nothing. He was given a job in the mines, but he now works solitary as a mineral inspector. All his life has had strange auditory hallucinations, and he is known to be very megalomaniacal. He is Chaotic Evil.

This power can be timed. It ends either when the Power Disk collides with an object or when Kimonou turns off the power himself.Mask and Tools: Kimonou wears a Great Mahiki (no powers, just appearance) and carries a blade designed specifically for cutting through thick vegetation in a forest.Character Biography: Kimonou is a hunter. He's lived on Kini Karda for years, hunting various Rahi and taming Gukko. Kimonou is a quick speaker and finds it irksome when people can't understand his tree-speak. Other than his impatience and temerity, he is rather outgoing, quick to make friends, just as quick to leave them.

Doubles as a torch).Mask and Tools: Powerless Kanohi (Shaped like Toa Metru Onewa) and small shovel.Character Biography:Ledzel was born in Po-Wahi where he grew up sailing ships along the river of sand. He was always interested in the phenomenon and enjoyed sailing along it very much. When the call to arms against Ta-Wahi cam about, he decided to join. He is a bit sleeker and taller than most Matoran but he has a slight muscular physique about him. He wears a dark blue T shirt with a white scarf, matching white pants and his hands are bandaged up to his entire forearms. He has a clean, handsome face and his eyes are glowing electric blue.Power Disk: Disk of Sense Alteration (Used to alter one of the five senses, including balance. User cannot alter his senses, only one sense can be altered at a time and can only be used on one target at a time as long as the user remains focused)Mask and Tools: Powerless blue Akaku. As a means of weaponry, Alfon possesses a katana with a razor-like miniature teeth edge which he attaches to his waist, along with a small dagger. The Matoran of Electricity also carries a single strap bag, slung across his shoulder which is meant to store things he might pick up in his travels. If he can get his hands on it, he might carry around a bottle of combustible liquid.Character Biography: Alfon's always been quite the little explorer. He loves to go on adventures and explore the unknown, finding it a very great hobby. The Matoran's friendly at heart, caring and quite the joker, making him a good friend to have. Despite his cheery personality, Alfon has a small temper. He's skilled with his blade since he's run into a bunch of trouble during his travels and knows how to survive in the wilderness.

Name: OuraGender: MaleElement and Species: Matoran of PlasmaCharacter Appearance: An average Matoran in height, he is slightly muscular than your everyday Matoran of stone, making him quite the athlete. His body is pure jet black, with many orange streaks running across his mask, wrists, shins, and his upper chest. Power Disk: Disk of Truth (The Disk of Truth is used as any ordinary mask of Truth would be used; to spot out the lies in a persons words, similar to a lie detector, only it cannot be tricked or fooled) Mask and Tools: He wears a useless Calix, and his tools are as follows;

• [*]A short sword that he uses for everyday combat[*]Retrievable throwing knives for ranged combat situations[*]Two wrist blades that he can extend and retract at will[*]A simple leather whip that helps him with climbing, swinging, and grabbing opponents when he needs to

Character Biography: Not much is know of Oura, he stays silent, never revealing anything of his past or his whereabouts. He is known for being a vigilante, though, and will aid any citizens in need should they be in danger. He spends his days traveling the island, stopping trouble, keeping tabs on current events, and making sure he remains anonymous from anyone who would do him harm. -Skar

@Skar, First off I spoke to EW and he said I could help with assisting in the Game, so I'm going to try and say my thoughts on the profile.First off any form of powered mask is illegal. Including Noble Kanohi. Second the disk of truth seems a bit overpowered in it's ability to search for beings with the truth. Perhaps make it like a lie detector. It can detect lies for the majority of things, but can still be fooled.Also I think the metallic whip should just be made a normal, leather whip. Bendable metal is not easy to come by. Other than those small errors the rest looks fine.

Name: VasilcGender: FemaleElement and Species: Matoran of GravityCharacter Appearance: A mostly purple-armoured Matoran, with shades of black here and there. There is something abnormal about Vasilc's physical build; a subtle lengthening of the limbs and enlargement of the extremities. It has led to her developing a procifiency at swimming, running and jumping, though she can be a little clumsy in a closed environment.Power Disk: Disk of The Green. Allows Vasilc to grow various floral features from any part of her body, such as plants or vines. She cannot make these plants acidic or poisonous.Mask and Tools: Powerless Kanohi Arthron. She wears a travelling pack that contains a map, an extendible fishing rod, a long knife, and some food.Character Biography: Vasilc is not quite sure how she reached her current position in life. She lives in a valley at the fringe of Ko- and Ga-Wahi, through which runs a small river. Her dwelling is a hut made from several rocks and fastened together with the gluish sap of a certain Le-Wahi plant. She has full knowledge of the island and its history, as any inhabitant does, but it is her own personal history that escapes her. She just woke up one day with absolutely no memory of who she was, including her name - her current one was derived from a half-faded carving spotted on her travels. An attacking Rahi caused her mask to become cracked, and upon fleeing she came across the hut where she now lives. She found food and a new mask within, and decided to stay there until its owner returned. However, weeks have passed, and no-one has yet come.Vasilc is a quiet and friendly sort. She is curious to solve the mystery of her past, and has been training herself to fight against small Rahi in order to gain the skills to venture out into the world.

Name: HermilGender: MaleElement and Species: De-Matoran (Sonics)Character Appearance: An average Matoran with a average build, maybe a little too average. He wears a grey Kakama, which matches his grey armor. He has wide-eyed green eyes that seem a little creepy…Power Disk: Disk of Probability; allows Hermil to slightly manipulate probability to his advantage, making himself a little luckier and giving his opponent a really bad day.Mask and Tools: Kanohi Kakama, his tool is a small hammer, mainly used for blacksmithing but it can also smash in heads.Character Biography: Hermil is a particularly devoted member of the Order of Calix. He is well aware that the Order’s efforts have went on without any success, but he remains hopeful that one day the Toa can be found. This hopeless idealism comes from the fact that Hermil has the personality of a small child and he is also obsessed with the Toa. He was young when his heroes disappeared and this is why he is so dedicated to finding them.

Name: VrinlathGender: MaleElement and Species: Matoran of IronCharacter Appearance: Big, muscular, yet wizened in appearance. His dark orange armor is accented with gunmetal, giving him almost a rusted appearance. Slightly bent with age, despite his powerful frame. His eyes are an orange to match his armor. Wears the cloak of the Elders.Power Disk: His disk gives him the ability to alter his perception of time.
