Day Run: The Garden

IC - Zanth - Zero Bunker: "Too true," Zanth said, tapping his fingers on the desk as he rose to his feet. He tapped his index finger on three spots on the map--the Day Run, Tyis Island, and City. "Kerid, the Guild, Brother... Three people or groups that we need to meet as soon as possible..." He paused. "We don't have enough time... Either we need to split up and each go to one of them, or we need to call them all to a single location. Like here." IC - C74 - Player Lounge: As Hexxon entered the room, he would note a datapad set on the sidedesk nearest him. A note written on it, signed directly from Kerid, gave him further instruction on how to activate it and the information he would find within.Accessing it, the Team Comet member would find that her information was accurate, as the datapad would provide a full rundown of everything the Day Run and its allies had learned about the Ring-KNPD plot--including information on the Heart and Keys.IC - Tarius - West District: The Toa of Magnetism held his hand up to his face as he walked away from the pair of beings, a small green cloud forming in his palm. Not yet marked, Tarius thought. Someone's going to need to correct that if we are to Reap enough of them...IC - Council of Tyis/Sanshou/Kaorus - Council Chamber: As Kaorus, Kaelan, and Alan emerged into view, Tyis nodded at Sanshou. "You should go," he said. "Return once you have finished the initiation."The Artanian nodded and saluted, gesturing for Kairan to follow her downstairs. As she passed Kaorus, she patted a hand on his shoulder, locking eyes with him for a moment before disappearing into the halls. The Siorun made his way to the center of the floor, placing Alan on the ground as Tyis descended from where he sat, walking slowly toward them. He stooped down, staring into the Kasuba's eyes, searching his face, his face concentrated...IC - Ring Members/Dark Hunters - Throne Room: Lyxek caught the card without even flinching, his eyes set directly on Khad. "Seems pointless to me, but whatever. Seventy thousand each," he said, nodding at a guard at the side of the room. He walked forward and handed out a card to each member of the Dark Hunter group, before holding out his hands for the container that held the rose. "Trust me, Khad, soon enough this money's not going to matter to anyone. But whatever makes you happy." Lyxek's smile flickered slightly, his eyelids drooping. "Now if you don't mind handing over the Rose..."Kovian was thrown off by his shift in tone and attitude. He glanced from the Ringmaster to the being with the helmet, noting the other Ring members--including a Toa of Iron and a Hivena, which caused a number of nightmares regarding the Great War on Exa-Nui to resurface. Even if he wanted to make a break for it with both the money and the Rose, he knew that the odds were not in the Dark Hunters' favor, so he nodded at Toxin, urging him to comply."Khad brings up a good point," the Toa of Ice said, moving over to examine one of the pillars in the room. The action, coupled with a slight nod at the crowd from Lyxek, seemed to be a sign for everyone to relax and do what they pleased. "I lost three Hunters on Gynel. Some warning about the increased Feranaki activity would've been helpful.""Understandable," Lyxek said, leaning back against his throne. "However, I assure you that I gave plenty of warning to your boss." He tapped his knuckles on the armrest. "Can't say how much of that he actually passed on, but I figured most of you would make it back no matter what. Seems like I was right."Kovian nodded, turning to look at the Ring members that were now beginning to interact with the Dark Hunters. "Casual atmosphere you've got here," he said after a moment. "Surprisingly so, actually, for someone of your position."A sharp laugh burst from the helmeted being, catching Kovian's attention. "You obviously don't know Lyxek, then."Sepcret took a seat nearby, listening to the conversation in silence. She raised an eyebrow at the being's comment. "Evidently," she said. "I have to admit that you don't come off as the type of person who would want to lead a group like this. The fact that you implies that there's a lot more to you than meets the eye."At Lyxek's nod, Vailian moved away from the wall, stretching his arms as he looked around the room. He, like the others, had known that they would be allowed to speak with whoever they wanted to at some point during this meeting. He was a bit surprised at how early that had happened--but then again, if the aim was to ensure the Hunters' loyalty, it would be better to start earlier rather than later, right? Now all he had to decide was which one to talk to first. Everyone here was a worthy ally, of course--they had proven that by besting Gynel. But undoubtedly, some of them would be easier for him to get along with than others.IC - ? - Ocean: Two dark shapes moved through the water, their proportions grotesque and monstrously distorted as they cut through the ocean. They had been following the boats for... how long now? They had lost track of time. But now, they were near land again, and that meant that the boats were near...

IC: Djoser, Ring HQ, Throne Room:Djoser nodded towards Lyxek, looking at Toxin."Give him the Rose, and perhaps we can remininsce." he told the Toa. "The Flare Cube, the Olmak... some of my favourite missions, to be honest. Very thrilling, much llike this island is. I think you'll find that you're going to want to stay here, and help us in our cause."IC: Vertak, Zero Bunker:At Zanth's suggestion that they might have to split up, Vertak visibly shuddered, remembering how helpless he'd been against Djoser, Dalmia, Lyxek, even Kayzata (who had vanished, though why he didn't know)."No. We get them all to come here." he said forcibly. "Or maybe not here specifically, I don't care, but we are not splitting up. They can come to us, or we can let them know that Lyxek is going to win."IC: Elittra, Day Run:Elittra followed Atorre silently, taking in everything around her, storing the information for later.

IC: Ring HQToxin placed the card with seventy thousand on it in a pocket in his armor. He nodded to the guard who gave it to him thanks. He then handed the Rose to Lyxek. You could visibly see the stress leave his muscles as he handed the mysterious plant to the Ringmaster."Ah yes those missions. They certainly where fun. Does the Boss know you're here?" said Toxin.OOC: I didn't think they would get that much money. I think Toxin will buy new armor and maybe a mask or two.

IC: Djoser, Ring HQ, Throne Room:"I sent a message to him about three days ago- however, I don't know how long it will take for him to receive the message." Djoser replied, grinning as he noticed Toxin relax. "I've been following Vertak as assigned by The Shadowed One- and that Matoran of Gravity is still on this island. I've made it my mission to stay here until I see him gone or dead, and I decided it couldn't hurt to help Lyxek at the same time."

IC: The waves crashed against the rocky wall far below, sending up columns of mist not quite high enough to reach the lone figure atop the cloff above. The wind was strong, rushing past fast enough to easily be heard. In the hazy distance, out to sea, three dark forms were visible, the islets known as Niakar’s Trinity. It was upon these islets that the being had set his gaze.A smile flickered across Lekua’s face. He loved this moment, standing on the edge of the plunge to the waters below, the thrill of the position’s risk washing over him, sending adrenaline coursing through his veins. The rushing wind only contributed to the Toa’s exuberance; he was surrounded by the fullness of his element’s natural power. A laugh escaped his lips.Without visible prodding, the mask the being wore changed slightly – a casual observer (had there been any) would likely be unable to detect it, but in reality a transparent visor had slid over each eyehole.Lekua looked intently at the easternmost of the Trinity, and the islet snapped suddenly into focus. He could clearly make out the shoreline and, more importantly, the tower rising to the sky farther inland. Satisfied, he relaxed his gaze. The Toa of Air smiled once more, spread his arms wide, leaned forward ever so slightly……and fell.

IC: Day Run, Player LoungeHexxon's eyes were drawn to the desk closest to him. After quickly spotting the datapad, he first picked up and read Kerid's note, then reached for it. Figuring he could spend some time in the vacant room, the Team Comet leader shut the door and sat on the bed.Hexxon activated the datapad as per the instructions, and began reading the information.IC: West DistrictKaytana swerved around the KNPD officer with her speeder. She resumed her journey through City, though moving at a much more appropiate speed this time. IC: Ring HQThe insects continued to relocate themselves to form a new shape, pushing past and squirming around each other. Beside the mass of creatures hovered the payment card, two groups suspending it up on either end and every one of them holding up their arms. They took on the forms of several beings present, eventually settling on the shape of what appeared to be a Zyglak-Skakdi hybrid.Satisfied with the new look that would no doubt inspire horror in others, the floating insects were summoned to the rest of swarm. They formed into sort of a pocket on the right shoulder, in which the card was inserted. Wasponax proceeded to glance up at the imprisoned Turaga, a look of wonder on his frightening face.IC: Day RunAgreed, Greel said. No doubt another race would put Rocky out, and it would be dangerous to go speeding through the city. We can take a much faster -- and much less hazardous -- route.Waving a hand, the Team Slight member opened a dimensional gateway to East District for the group to use.

IC: Calik Raktu - Day RunCalik raised an eyebrow, a small grin forming on his face, "Hm, now I'm really we joined forces."Without another word, the Toa stepped into the portal, his left foot remaining on the smooth tiles of the Day Run, and his right on the rough, gritty gravel of the East District.-Void

IC: East DistrictGreel stepped into the doorway-like portal, followed by Rocky. Immediately they were greeted by the hotels, shops, casinos, and other buildings of East District. It was quite clear that no one could be bored in a place like this, with all the relaxing and joyful things here.Where should we start first? he asked, his telepathic voice echoing in his teammates' minds. There are games to play, stores to shop at, places to eat, and plenty of other things to do!

IC: Nikaron (Day Run Garages-Leaving)Nikaron leaned back against a wall and shrugged, it'd been hours since Selirah had left to get the team registered and she was supposed to meet him here. He had planned to introduce Delta to her today, but unfortunately the other Toa seemed to have been running late, real late. She's probably just got busy, anyway there's probably something else I can do in the mean time.It was then that the Toa's eyes drifted towards Delta and an idea struck him. "Say Delta, as I recall you haven't had a field test yet."That is affirmative sir."Well then, let's change that." Quickly he wrote a note on the front of the door for Selirah to see.

Gone out, be back soon, testing.

~~ Nikaron

It may have be short, but it was too the point and that was what counted. Grabbing his helmet off his workbench/bed, Nikaron mounted Delta and prepared to ride him for the first time. Now, that's not to say he hadn't ridden bikes before, it was merely Delta he had never ridden, so now he was going out for the first time, and like most first times it didn't work out as expected. The moment he revved Delta's engines, the bike crashed straight into a wall. Apologies sir. Are you injured? The A.I. asked.

"I'm fine Delta don't worry, besides all you need is a quick tune-up to adjust for your speed. The throttle causes your acceleration to jump to fast in relation to your handling abilities."

Noted sir, my systems should be able to adjust that by themselves.

After Delta did just that, things went a lot smoother, a whole lot smoother on the second try. Together Nikaron and his bike zoomed out of the Garage and into the streets, Nikaron and Delta were back where they started, but this time on a whole different level. The thought caused Nikaron to smile as he sped through the city, in fact the happy thoughts almost kept the oft-distracted Toa from noticing the being who was just now diving into the water. Almost, but not quite. Abruptly, Nikaron stopped the bike and sped towards the Toa, and then waited at the shoreline for the being to surface. Nikaron was a tinker by nature, and this being intrigued him. So he waited, like he so often ended up doing.

-==IC: Selirah/Day Run, heading toward Garages==-The whole problem, was that the decision to meet up had been confused, and Selirah had thought Nikaron was meeting her at the Day Run itself. She shrugged, and headed toward the garages, and looked around, as she thought over where Nikaron had mentioned his garage was. She looked around, and then noticed the garage in question, and walked toward it. She paused, however, as she noticed a note on the door, and read it, raising an eyebrow. That's quite brief, but that makes sense, as it saves time. Selirah thought with a nod. What she didn't realize, however, was that she had only just missed Nikaron, and simply shrugged, as she waited nearby, not sure what else to do, and decided to simply wait for Nikaron to return.

OOC: We are allowed to RP minor NPCs right because quite frankly I'm bored and wish to interact so:IC: NPC (Garages)Luckily for Selirah one of the other mechanics down at the Garage just so happened to walk by a few moments later. Now this particular worker had been here a long time and happened to know quite well the norm around this place. Having visitors was not one of them. Sure sometimes a player would invite a fan to see his ride, but rarely was that fan forced to just wait outside of the Garage. However if that was just the case, the Mechanic would not have payed much mind, but it was the Garage she was in front of that puzzled. Nikky never had visitors, as far as the mechanic was concerned he doubted Nikaron had any friends at all. This led him to one conclusion, the other Toa must be lost, and thus it was his duty to help her. Walking over to her he asked, "Miss you all right, you seem lost."

-==IC: Selirah==-Selirah nodded."We had agreed to meet up after I registered the team for the event going on soon, but, well, I think we misunderstood each other a bit." Selirah said, referring to the fact that she had thought he'd be going to the Day Run, and vice versa.

IC: NPCThe Mechanic chuckled, "Sounds like Nikky alright. Anyhow, you just missed him, he took off on his bike a while ago, first time I've seen him ride it, he's worked on it non-stop for a couple years now. Now you might be able to catch him but I doubt it, I can show you into his Home though, beats waiting outside the Garage. What'd you say?"

IC: NPC"Nikky? There's no way he could afford to live anywhere else, thus the Garage is his home, much better than the streets where I first found him. I would've taught the kid had told you already. Ah well, what can I say, kid was always a little absent-minded probably forgot." He then walked over to a panel in which one would enter a code to open the Garage, "So you ready?"

IC: NPCThe door opened to reveal, well simply put, a mess. On the ground there were quite a few spare parts lying about, on the right side of the room was a charging station for Delta, on the left side of the small Garage was a workbench on top of which was Nikaron's laptop, and his toolset. Of course seeing how the workbench was also his Bed, not a very comfortable one mind you, there was a pillow and some ragged blankets. The walls of the Garage were covered with dents and scratches sustained from Nikaron's mishaps during his tinkering. These include the crack running down the left wall where Delta had crashed. The Mechanic eyed the wall nonchalantly, and shrugged. "Huh, that one is new." He dismayed easily, after all it wasn't new for Nikaron. The Mechanic then looked at Selirah, "Apologies miss, I'm always telling that boy to clean up."

IC: Srizz | Ring HQSrizz grinned a bit and glanced around. He'd already taken note of the 'interesting' beings in the room (I.E. all of them) and considered the results of his little test, plus everything else he'd learned about Lyxek. Conclusion: Despite his casual demeanor, Lyxek was not easily fazed. Under the 'cool' was something ice cold. Calculating. In that way not at all unlike Srizz himself. He also seemed to like dropping cryptic (or not-so-cryptic) hints suggesting that giving him the Rose may just have been a cosmically stupid idea. This assassin had been around enough crazies to know when there was a plan, a big one, that he could only spot the very surface of. The tip of the iceberg. What in the name of Ruaki have I gotten myself into now? He wondered as he made a show of happily accepting his cash. As usual, a flawless performance. His eyes were half-closed from smiling broadly, so it was hard to see how calculating and, admittedly, somewhat worried they looked. He got the feeling most people in here wouldn't be put off by the great big fangs, though. Eventually (a term here meaning 'shortly after accepting his large bag of money') he decided to bury his worries and focus on mingling a bit. Some fun after a successful mission. And if he happened to gain valuable intel on the Ring's ultimate plans, well, that couldn't hurt either, could it? So he tucked the cash away in his bag and looked around for someone who seemed interested in talking. Preferably someone of the female variety. Attractiveness encouraged. Sometimes it was comforting to slip into old routines and forget you may have just handed someone the end of the world.-=H-D=-

Khadbaen/Ring HQ, Escaping the Throne Room\IC:

Khad tipped his hat forward. Then, with a popping of his knuckles, he pulled it down tightly to his head. "Heh, toxin. Ah wohrd, please," he said before the Hunter handed over the Rose. With a grin, he whispered something into his right ear. Then, in a flash, a bolt from one of his laser pistols embedded intself in a nearby Ring member's skull. The Steltian kicked the Rose from Toxin's grip, caught it in mid-air, and rocketed out of the room.Literally. His boots were at maximum force, and he was down the hall and nearing the entrance in moments. What did he whisper in Toxin's ear? "Ihf ahnehohne ahsks, Ah'm beihn' ah heroh. Ihf you wahnt toh lihve, hehlp."OOC: That was fun. NVM, this post is invalid.

IC: Djoser, Ring HQ, Throne Room:"Relax, we'll get it back." Djoser told Toxin, turning to Lyxek. "We're going after him- Toxin, prepare yourself". In a move performed countless times before, Djoser activated his Pakari and grabbed Toxin, throwing him like a spear at the retreating Khadbaen and then running after them himself, using his Pakari to take a running leap that helped him to close the distance between Toxin, Khadbaen and himself.

OOC: Guys, ToD's post didn't happen.Editing an IC into this post in a moment, but this needed to be pointed out before it escalates.IC - Zanth - Zero Bunker: Zanth paused briefly. When nothing else was said, he sent the message to KErid, Brother, and the Guild of Tyis, shutting off the device."And now we wait."When the message arrived at the three destinations, the recipients would find that it was a very simply worded request:"Requesting urgent meeting at Team Zero's headquarters. Coordinates encrypted.-Zanth"IC - Where Sol is: A message from Ehjoras arrived on whatever messenger device Sol currently had nearby, containing the information promised by the Matoran a week earlier.

IC: The wind rushed in his ears, a deafening, whirling cacophony of sound. Lekua fell headfirst toward the sea below, laughing all the while in delight, his body perfectly angled, his dive perfectly controlled. As he rapidly approached the water, he lessened the air resistance on himself, boosting his terminal velocity to incredible heights. Faster and faster he fell until at the last moment he leveled out, catching himself perfectly with his Kadin, and in one smooth motion rolled back and shot forward over the waves as an arrow from a bow.Flying.It was awesome.

OOC: @Balta, in case you missed it, Nikaron is currently watching Lekua flying off.IC: Nikaron (Waves, Watching Lekua)Nikaron smiled as he watched the Toa soar through the air. Flight it had always intrigued him, watching as native creatures naturally evolved to such an ability, and how the wind reacted to them. It seemed like so much fun to be able glide among the birds. Nikaron dismounted from Delta and lied down peacefully on the shore gazing into the air as the Toa soared, and he waited for the moment when he could approach the Toa.

OOC: Did not notice that, thanks.IC: Lekua's body tensed as he prepared to triple his speed and begin the flight to Tyis in earnest - he did have a schedule, after all - but something stopped him. He halted his flight path and hovered over the surface of the water, turning around to see a figure watching him from land. The visor flipped down again and he analyzed the being. It was a green and black Toa - probably Air - who wore a Mahiki. Next to him there was a motorcycle, though a rather beat-up one, that appeared to have been constructed from the parts of several different vehicles. Lekua rested his hand on the rifle on his back - one could never be too careful. "What do you want?" he called.

Kaelen- Guild of TyisIC: He stood back as Alan was set down in the center of the circle hoping that the kasuba would not do anything too crazy. Like attack the council members, He was sure that was not going to help Alan's case at all.

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

OOC: Danke. ^_^IC - Tyis - Council Chamber: Tyis frowned as he continued to stare at Alan. Then he blinked, lifting his head. He focused, connecting his mind with Alan's. Feeling the damage that had been done by the Searcher, he closed his eyes."You may wish to cover your ears," he told the other beings in the room. "Or leave. Consider yourselves dismissed."Without waiting for a response, Tyis began setting the pieces of Alan's mind back into place. To say that it was excruciatingly painful for the Kasuba would be a massive understatement, his screams providing enough reason for almost all of the other councilors to exit the room.IC - Sanshou - Tower of Tyis: Sanshou led Kairan further and further down through the Tower of Tyis, never saying a word as they walked. They passed by dozens of rooms and other Guild members, though she never stopped to speak to any of them or to lead Kairan into another room. After a while, they arrived on the ground floor... and continued further down, into a stone stairwell that didn't seem to possess any decorations at all. Whatever rooms branched off of the stairs were blank and uninviting, most of them dark and all of them bearing scars from past conflicts within them.At the bottom of the stairs, they arrived at a room that was completely pitch-black. Sanshou entered, blending into the shadows perfectly and disappearing from Kairan's sight. The door closed behind them, blocking what little light had entered before."You've completely every task we've given to you, Kairan," the Artanian said from somewhere in the dark, unhindered by the shadows thanks to her mask. "But you have yet to demonstrate one skill, and that is your ability to see without seeing. To fight without your senses. In the coming times of darkness, this is perhaps the most important skill one must possess." The sound of a sword being drawn cut through the dark. "Defeat me. That is your task."IC - Tarius - Wast District: The Toa of Magnetism stopped as Kaytana drove off, listening to the revving of the vehicle as it moved. The Collector's insane smirk appeared on the dead Toa's face.Twisting his head around--further than it should have been able to go--the Construct snapped his fingers, focusing on Theron. A magnetic bubble appeared around the KNPD officer, drawing a hailstorm of small metallic objects from all around, all of them heading toward him as a green mist began to emanate from Tarius's body.IC - Ring and Dark Hunters - Throne Room: "Unnerving, isn't it?" Vailian said, coming to stand next to Wasponax. He, too, was staring up at the immobilized Lyccir. The Turaga continued to float in the air, slowly rotating, his expression frozen--and yet very much alive. Vailian still had not decided on what he thought of it. "Former Ringmaster of the Ring. A living legend." He shook his head slightly. "Just another broken beacon."Kovian watched as Lyxek examined the container in which the rose sat, noting a flicker of triumph in the Ringmaster's eyes as he looked at the flower. Glancing back up at the Dark Hunters, the Toa of Sonics held the container up, snapping his fingers. It dematerialized in front of them in a flurry of shadow. A sense of dread came over Kovian at the sight. What did I just deliver to this guy?Lyxek looked at Sepcret, smirking. "You don't know the half of it," he said. "I may dislike the law and organization, but come on; this isn't organized. We're a family here." He smiled devilishly, his tone unnaturally cheerful. "And that's all anyone ever wants, right? A family."A slight shiver ran down Sepcret's spine at this, barely noticeable. Kovian had caught it, thanks to being right next to her, though Lyxek's expression didn't change, suggesting he had not. The Toa of Ice took a seat next to her."Sounds reasonable," he said. "So is that what this whole operation is about?""You might say that," Lyxek answered, leaning back against his throne. "One could definitely say that and it might have some truth to it..."Having lost interest as soon as the rose disappeared, Dalmia had stood and left his seat with a sarcastic bow toward Kovian and Sepcret. Boredly, he moved into the crowd, his disinterest in this little party one hundred percent apparent in his body language. Paying no attention to where he was going, he ended up bumping into Srizz.

IC: Srizz | Throne RoomSrizz glanced around, spotting the one who'd bumped into him. He snapped his fingers with a loud click of talons in front of the offender's eyes. "Sorry to wake you," he remarked, "but you should learn to daydream with a bit more care. I might've been Bunch o' Bugs over there, then you'd have about a dozen stingers in your side." He smiled a bit, though that might have just made him scarier. "What's so interesting you can't be bothered to control your feet?"-=H-D=-
