Unless, as Cotan said, they find a way to break out. Which I won't say is impossible, but it's pretty hard. The guard collective is as smart as I am, so you'd be pitting yourself against me and be at a disadvantage. I've already had Deus Ex Mysterious Stranger happen once, and I'm not doing it a second time.That's why you have other character slots, or try to roleplay your way out of that stuff. Or not do things that get you caught and thrown in jail. And if something cataclysmic happens like, say, a deranged PC got the Legion Scepter and decided to use it to plunge the island into war and write history according to their will. I know that Krash (Zakaro) and Tanika (Taka...etc.) are in, and I'll eventually ask Lalar (Constructman) once those two reply. I'm also still waiting for Burnmad to make his new character (as he asked) so he will also be joining, in theory. So, if anyone else wants in, post your character's name, location, and what their currently doing, and I'll eventually have Quorvex run into them.Quorvex would potentially recruit anyone if it looks like they can fight or have some very special skill (Krash and his explosives). As Lev suggested, having a Rebellion, Dragon, or other nefarious character who wants to steal the Scepter are also a great idea, but please try to be subtle. Merchants get special treatment since Quorvex has either meet them or has a list with their name on it; anyone else will get a short informal interview at least. Having your character outright state that he's a part of any of those factions is going to get them turned over to the authorities. :PIn a similar manner, Crentis is also 'recruiting' Vermillion Dragon and other criminally-minded characters in Sakrinil. He's planning on going south after a short detour to Moroni. Having Council or Order members try to infiltrate the group is also a valid idea if they try to pose as rogue Toa, but as with Quorvex's group, you have to convince Crentis that you're aren't waiting to stab him in the back (be it figuratively or literally). Now, I mentioned in an earlier post that there are several matoran who are agents of the Vermillion Dragon who have gone into the city are attempting to find other members who want to get out. If you want to join this group, have your character run into one of them and they'll be directed to the meeting point (it's, oh I don't know... let's say it's an old warehouse next to the waterfront). In other words, you don't have to run into Crentis if you can't make it work logically.In short, there are now two options for characters to go somewhere other than Sakrinil, so for everyone who has been saying that there has been nothing to do; well now there is. He's also a master strategist.Biography: As a matoran he lived a life of crime. Stealing to get by. One day a Turaga from the Guild of Sages saw him about to pickpocket a guard. The Turaga ran over to him and started talking to him so he wouldn't pickpocket the guard. The Turaga decided that the matoran had potential and that he could change so he brought him to a Toa Council chamber where he was given a Toa stone and trained. To this day he protects the Southern Islands from crime. Wears light armor. Kanohi is a Great Rau.Appearance: Kitala is tall and thin. Her armor is green and silver, and her mask is green.Faction: Toa Council, relatively high-ranking.Personality: Kitala is generally a joyful person. She does her best to find and point out the bright side to any situation or person, even when it would seem to another like there was none. However, she suffers from occasional bouts of depression, during which she tends to avoid confronting whatever caused it and read several books until it goes away.Biography: As a matoran, Kitala lived in a village on an obscure island off the coast of the northern, volcanic region of Yheyn. A group of pirates stumbled upon said island and ended up kidnapping their Turaga. That night, Kitala led a group of matoran to rescue him. They sneaked past the guards successfully, but were discovered before they could free him. The Turaga, who the guards had forgotten to search, instructed Kitala to take what he had in his pocket and flee to the mainland. What he had in his pocket was a Toa Stone. And a piece of string, but the stone was much more important.Kitala grabbed the stone and ran for her life back to the village, where she grabbed a boat, tossed it into the water, and rowed until her arms were numb. The pirates chased after her and, despite her head start, they were catching up to her. She'd have to have been a Toa for a little over ten thousand years now, and the island would have become completely volcanic. After all, in the canon, the Southern Islands are a wasteland by the time of the main story. Toa Levacius Zehvor Posted August 11, 2012 Author Share Posted August 11, 2012 @ Burnmad; Well, in order to become a Toa, a Matoran needs to have a small fraction of Toa Power inside of them to begin with. It's completely inactive until the Matoran is given a Toa stone or a substitute, like the Avohkii.The Stone is just a rock on its own, even with the power in it. In order to use it, the Matoran needs to take it to a temple with a Suva in it. The Toa Stone is charged by the small amount of energy from Mata-Nui and is able to be activated, and the Toa Power is expended. Some (or most, depending on the amount it was divided) is spent in the transformation, and activating the Toa Power and thus elemental powers and the ability to tap into the mental focus required for Great Masks. Any remaining Toa Power (and there must be some) blasts into the sky and forms a Spirit Star, which every Toa has.Nobody here forgot about spirit stars, did they? Let's just say Yheyns sky is saturated with the little suckers.Oh, and the Avohkii was an exception to the temple thing. Or perhaps it wasn't. They were in Kini-Nui, after all, so that might have been good enough. No need to question unique masks as to their function.And you can make a few minor changes, just nothing that would change the character. He was disliked because he couldn't help with fishing. He was scared of water so he spent his time practicing martial arts in his hut. His Turaga saw potential in him and gifted him with a Toa stone. He later joined the Rebellion. He later joined the Rebellion.Word of advice. This isn't your schoolwork or Microsoft Word. You don't need to change the font size to 12. You can just leave it as the default 14 so that we can can read it. Nobody likes to strain their eyes by looking at small text or yellow text. Best keep both in mind.Okay, so why can't a Matoran of Lightning help with fishing? The only advantage Ga-Matoran have is greater swimming and lung capacity, and I've gone fishing enough times to know that you don't need that to fish. Heck, my main character is a Toa of Lightning who's the captain of a notorious smuggling ship (or a powerful warlord, but I never found an RPG where that one fit). That aside, why would somebody who refused to help the village be seen as having potential? Sure, Takua might have been a big adventuring slacker, but he was banished. Until he saved all six Turaga, summoned the Toa, and gathered a force of Matoran to fend off Rahi for them. And then he trekked around the island with his best friend to the most secluded place on the island. And still nobody knew he was to be a Toa until he jammed the mask on his face.Or, looking at Burnmads character, leading a force of Matoran to save the Turaga from a small army of pirates. It doesn't come quite as close, but that character wasn't a slacker to begin with. I think. I don't see anything about refusing to help the rest of the village.Finally, are you sure you want a Toa in the Rebellion? Simulacrum Posted August 11, 2012 Share Posted August 11, 2012 Alright, since I don't want to search through 20+ pages of the RP topic to find everyone who has shown interest in the whole Legion Scepter arc, I'm just going to ask here:Who wants their character to join Quorvex little mission to find Midnight and/or the Legion Scepter? I know that Krash (Zakaro) and Tanika (Taka...etc.) are in, and I'll eventually ask Lalar (Constructman) once those two reply. I'm also still waiting for Burnmad to make his new character (as he asked) so he will also be joining, in theory. So, if anyone else wants in, post your character's name, location, and what their currently doing, and I'll eventually have Quorvex run into them.Quorvex would potentially recruit anyone if it looks like they can fight or have some very special skill (Krash and his explosives). As Lev suggested, having a Rebellion, Dragon, or other nefarious character who wants to steal the Scepter are also a great idea, but please try to be subtle. Merchants get special treatment since Quorvex has either meet them or has a list with their name on it; anyone else will get a short informal interview at least. Having your character outright state that he's a part of any of those factions is going to get them turned over to the authorities. I'd like to join as well. He is currently saving for a boat so that he can travel more frequently.What do the matoran of Yheyn look like? Are they the 2001 matoran, 2003, Etc.
