You've never seen this character before.

Name: Alyia Faraxa

Species: Devaronian

Gender: Female

Age: 27 Standard years.

Faction: Republic

Sympathies: Alyia's sympathies are slightly convoluted, though she is naturally sympathetic towards the Jedi. Somewhat sympathetic to the Confederacy's cause, though believes that they're going about it in an ineffective way.

Rank: Jedi Knight

Occupation: Diplomat

Skills: Alyia is very athletic, while having the resistance to some toxins like most of her species. She uses the Niman/Jar'Kai form of lightsaber combat, and is proficient enough with it, able to use one or both of her blades effectively. She sometimes adds a few elements of Form II in, using her unique blades to her advantage. However, she is in no way a combat specialist, relying more on her skills with the force when forced to fight. She is a skilled diplomat and negotiator.

Force Abilities: As a Jedi, she has some form of control over general force-based abilities, such as telekinesis, force jump, and force speed. However, she is most skilled in the use of the phase force ability, which allows her to pass through solid objects. She has trained hard to master this obscure ability, something that has payed off greatly as she uses it to peacefully end fights. However, she cannot pass through things such as energy shields or blaster bolts, as they effect her the same as normal. She also has begun to study the healing and plant surge force techniques, and can use them to some effect, but hasn't completely mastered them.

Equipment or Weapons: Alyia's only weapons are her twin, teal-bladed crossguard lightsabers. A plate of phrik metal sits between where the shorter blade and longer blade's emitters, preventing the smaller, guard lightsaber blade to be cut off during combat. The hilts of these weapons are smooth and silvery, with indentations and ridges on the metal to fit her palm. There are two separate activation plates, one for the longer blade, and another for the shorter one. Both these have a locking mechanism that allows them to be pressed at the same time. She recently modified these weapons slightly, allowing them to be joined together at their bases. In addition, she carries “standard” Jedi equipment, such as a liquid cable launcher and comlink. Occasionally wears modified clone trooper gauntlets into battle, though generally doesn't wear armor.

Appearance: Alyia, like most females of her species, is covered in thick, white fur, making her easily recognizable in a crowd. Her blue eyes are large, and her light hair is cut short, while her ears are noticeably pointed. She generally wears the standard brown Jedi robes, with her lightsabers clipped to her belt. She isn't tall or overly muscular, but is built lean and lithe. A thin line along her left arm, where the fur is slightly discolored, betrays the presence of a long scar.

Personality: The Devaronian Jedi is mostly calm and seems to have an unlimited supply of patience, something that has helped her well as diplomat. She is well spoken, and has a deep respect for all life. Alyia isn't one to fight, but will defend herself and those around her when needed. She doesn't always think before acting, and can be slightly headstrong at times. She can be quite stubborn, and isn't one to give up easily, especially in things she believes in. Alyia sometimes displays the occasional flash of good humor, but not all the time. Overall, she is generally easy to get along with. Alyia is also quite adventurous, a trait that normally applies for the males of her species, and always likes to explore the planets and cultures she is visiting. She also seems to have a particular fascination with the different force traditions of these worlds.

Home Planet: Devaron/Coruscant

History: Alyia was identified as a force sensitive at a young age on Devaronian, and was quickly taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. As she grew up and her training progressed, nothing seemed to be that extraordinary about her connection to the force or abilities. Alyia did about average in her lightsaber training, even thought she displayed a proficiency with the use of twin blades, and seemed to have a bit more control over force powers such as telekinesis. It wasn't until later, under the training of her master, that her skills as a Jedi came out.

At the normal age, Alyia was taken as a Padawan learner by Aqualish Jedi named Raeth Mahl. Raeth was by no means a normal Jedi, his temper giving him a more aggressive stance, something that contrasted with Alyia's lean towards peace. However, the two balanced each other out, and preformed exceptionally well as a team. They completed many missions together, not all successful, but most of them were. During these, Alyia was shown to be an excellent diplomat. She was given a scar by a dark Jedi's blade, an event that had quite the impact on her. She finished her training not too long ago, and was only recently Knighted.

Ship Name: The Alkhara

Model: Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter

Function: Starfighter

Weapons: Two twin laser cannons, mounted on swiveling wing hubs. Two ion cannons (when docked with hyperdrive booster ring).

Modifications: The starfighter has been modified to include a life support system, as well as having stronger shields and armor, though at the cost of some maneuverability. It's booster ring has been given two ion cannons for added defense.

Background: Alyia took to flying the V-Wing starfighter as opposed to the lightly armored Eta-2 Actis-class flown by most Jedi. She modified the ship herself, painting it a dark blue for personal tastes.

Hmmm.... *cue stinkeye*All in all, it looks good. Really good. :) The only thing I see is the phasing ability. Since she's a new Knight, a limitation on the phasing (e.g. she can phase through solid objects harmlessly, but is repelled if she tries to phase through energy) might work nicely. .

Approved.

Once Madara's suggestion is added in at least.

I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are the good people and the bad people. You are wrong, of course. There are, always and only, the bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides.

I didn't even think the phasing even worked through energy. Though just my head-canon. I'll put that in for clarification.

@Flex, I'm inclined to say once a profiles approved, you are stuck with it. This goes for everyone, including staff.

There's nothing stopping you from training in Form II later though.

Okay then training it is that works fine.

Also:

Name: Gnarvusglurb (Goes by Gnar)

Species: Wookiee

Gender: Male

Age: 235 (He's in his prime when it comes to Wookies)

Faction: Hutt Cartel

Sympathies: Hutt Cartel (Though Gwar is tired of his line of work), he is sympathetic with the Republic and has had thoughts of leaving the cartel and joining them.

Rank: None.

Occupation: Bounty Hunter. Avid flute player.

Skills: Crack shot with his bowcaster and almost any blaster, also skilled with a vibroblade. He is a skilled carver and can fashion many things out of wood. Also an excellent carver. He is also quite skilled at ripping people's arms off by their sockets.

Force Abilities: None

Equipment or Weapons: Augmented bow-caster with scope, twin Augmented blasters, large two-handed custom vibroblade, three plasma grenades and one

thermal detonator.

Appearance: Gnar looks like your average Wookiee. He is massive standing at almost 7'2'' tall. He is covered in thick wooly brown and black fur and has two glittering beady green eyes. Gnar wears a suit of unique armor. It has been partially removed and only covers the main area over his chest and some of his back.

He also has armor placed over his shoulders.

Personality: Gwar is usually a very peaceful and easy going Wookiee. He enjoys eating a lot, winning at competitive board games and smashing anyone to a pulp that tries to trifle with him. Gwar hates grooming himself, anyone who complains about the Wookie stench is prone to get a blastershot through the eyes. Gwar likes to get things done, he's straight to the point and will fight quite ruthlessly if he must. Gwar is shunned by most other Wookiee's since he was exiled from Kashyyyk.

Home Planet: Kashyyyk

History: Gwar early on was very different then many of the other male Wookiees on his home planet. Unlike the rest who almost never left the tree villages that dotted the forest planet Gwar dreamed of leaving his home behind and traveling across the stars.

Gwar's family was quite revered among the Wookie culture due to it is rumored he is a descendant of the distant and famous Wookiee Zaalbar who fought alongside Darth Revan thousands of years ago and brought honor to the Wookiee people. Gwar was always a pretty violent Wookiee. When angry he would often fight other Wookie youths. When he became an adult some spacers traveled to Kashyyyk to try to capture a group of Wookiees to use as slaves.

Their plan went sour however and they ended up being forced to mow down twelve Wookiees with their blasters. Gwar saw this and attacked the spacers ferociously. He literally tore them apart though he suffered a blasterwound to his shoulder.

When Gwar was found amongst the dead Wookiees and the torn apart Spacers his people jumped to the conclusion that Gwar had gone mad and killed them all. He was branded a Madclaw and exiled from Kashyyk for good.

Gwar left in shame even though in his mind he had defended the honor of the dead Wookies. He roamed the galaxy for a few years before he fell in with the Hutt cartel on Tatooine. Gwar soon became a prominent bounty hunter for the cartel due to his ferocious combat methods. Gwar has become tired of being a bounty hunter after working for the cartel for over 85 years.

Name: Blood Eagle

Model: YT-1220 freighter

Function: Transport, Freighter, Fighter.

Weapons: Blaster turret, proton torpedo launcher, two blaster canons.

Modifications: Hyperdrive has been upgraded to a Class 1.

Background: The Blood Eagle was a ship given to Gwar by the cartel over 45 years ago. He has used it as a smuggling ship, transport and a fighter if battle is needed though it is much less maneuverable then a small fighter.

Someone's been playing KOTOR.

I'm always playing KOTOR XD.

KOTOR stays with you even when you're playing another game. Thing holds a special place in my heart. First RPG I played was KOTOR, even before Morrowind. Though I've admittedly put more time into the later than in both KOTOR games combined...

Though to @Flex Nard, why would you ever want to go to Form II, when there is the obviously superior Form III?

KOTOR's pretty good. Still need to get the second, but the first was enjoyable.

Especially with the mods. Hoooooo boy. Uber-Powered Mandalorian Gun and armor on Taris? Yes, please! :D

But, I need to be getting a post up. I'll be a bit slow due to moving into a house before the end of this week.

Form VI is by far the most versatile and superior of the forms. Grenade? Taste telekinesis, and my lightsaber!

Shame those gernade were pressure activated. Enjoy the electro-nets. :P

Form III's great.

Until you enemy starts using gernade launchers.

No form is designed specifically to counter grenade launchers; however, Form III does provide the opprotunity to deflect your other opponents blaster bolts into said grenades as they come towards you, along with granting you the focus to see them coming via the force whilst other, more reckless styles would deprive you of the opprotunity.

Wouldn't Shien, a blaster-deflection form that focuses on aiming deflected shots be more suited for anti-projectile activities than Form III, which has a less aggressive interpretation of deflection? Niman's focus on the Force would definitely be winning here. Totally. #totallynotindenialthatIcouldhavepickedabettersaberformforAnshar

Do you want me to space them out so you can see them better?

And check the grammar and wording a bit....it doesn't make much sense in some areas.

I'm just going to ignore everyone bragging about their favorite saber form is better then all others now.

@Zak - Totally intentional. :) @Flaredrick - The profile are formatted quite badly. You have inconsistent fonts, and sizes. And they are almost complete expies of characters from Republic Commando. :/ The fact that you've used eight words to describe a character's personality also doesn't give a very good impression. They'll both need a bit of fleshing out.

Oh, quick question! Since the Skywalkers aren't here, does that mean there's a chance Sev's alive?

Alright then.

I'd say we have a good number of players now, if anyone feels they need interaction, I'll probably be able to send an NPC your way or work something out. We've got GM missions incoming very soon however. I realize some characters are kind standing alone in the dark right now, so I'm just posting this as a stop-gap.

Think Madara hinted at some action on Coruscant. There's an open bounty on the swoop gang for Hutt Cartel members.

Should be creating a new character soon, now that I have my inspiration. If no one's posted by the time it's done (hopefully tonight) then I'll just edit it in on this post. Should have some company for Gnar, @Flex.
