Mafia XVI: Gallows and Gambits

I want a Mafia game with an "Everybody Lives" ending. Someone go make that happen.

I have an excellent game concept somehow connected to something similar to that

Picture a Mafia consisting entirely of roles that save rather than kill

Just Medics, no Murderers

I say, just Murderers, no Medics.

Bonus points for everyone if the game ends the first night.

We came pretty close to that in Southern Retribution. The game ended on like the third night.

Believe me, I remember that

Pretty sure it was four rounds

Anyway, what if we have a game where it is the goal of the village to eliminate as many people as possible, including themselves of course

And the "Mafia" tries to stop them

save not only their lives

Isn't that normal? =P

GENERATION 3: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
If I actually tried putting all the stuff I like on here, the sig would burst.

No, RG

You ever played Mafia?

Normally, the Mafia tries to eliminate as many people as possible, while the village tries to stop them, even if it means some of their own dying in the process

My idea is a game where the plot involves a very good reason for the village to be suicidal, and the Mafia is still evil in spite of trying to stop them

Like usually the murderous lynching rampages are a side effect, not the intended result

That's why it was a joke.

- :burnmad:

The joke was that the village is more deliberately murderous than the Mafia, not that they are more deliberately murderous than accidentally murderous

It's been over 2 months since the last mainline mafia game actually concluded in its intended way.

I think Dapper's going to finish this, one way or another :P

I would like to apologize, everyone. My internet connection was cut off without warning due to real-life nonsense, so I had no internet access for a couple days. The scene will come tonight or tomorrow. Also, I do have school now, so that may slow things down.

Morally unambiguous.

15% concentrate on typing better

The other 85% pay no attention to typing better

Hey man, I needed a word I could slur into three syllables, and one tiny d wasn't getting in the way of that.

-MT

"15% concentrated on typing better" is exactly as logical as the first one

Not really; it's much harder to slur "concentrated" than "concentrate," because in the latter case, you leave off the "te" sound mostly and people will still be able to guess what word you're using. "Concentrated," on the other hand, is only differentiated from concentrate because of the d, so if you want to bring the past tense across, you have to speak all four syllables.

I'm saying that it makes no sense either way, grammatically :P

Oh. Well in that case sure.

Sense was sacrificed for rhymes.

Night of the Sixth Day

Things were falling apart quickly for this Shadow invasion party. Two of them left, one of them had been found out by the Detectives. The Shadow Janitor made his move one who he thought was the final Detective. The Detective himself was searching for the Shadow Janitor. Naturally, they would inevitably meet. And they did, but only after several hours of stalking one another.

Elsewhere, a phone call was made. Really, by now, if you don't know who is making the call, there must be something wrong with you. The King is practically the only member of the community who actually makes outgoing calls. He calls his so-called "C ct s   ud y" and offers him another delicious desert plant. Naturally, he accepts.

Toa K, Shadow, diverted by King

About five hours pass, and the Detective is rather frustrated and fatigued. He can't evade the Shadow Janitor for long, and he can't gather enough evidence while fleeing its pursuit. He pulls a handgun from his longcoat. One bullet, this best count. He aims, as the janitorial worker shifts into a gelatinous state and closes in...

....when unexpectedly, the other Shadow dives from behind him, killing him....

Unit, Final Detective, killed by Shadow

...and, in a hunger-driven frenzy, flies towards the Janitor. The cacti were drugged, but none but the King knew that. If the plan works, then K should be able to devour his own kin. And, believe it or not....

It worked.

Norik, Shadow, killed by Good Neighbor

Norik's death

Toa K: He's the only Shadow remaining....

Sir Voltex: ...but Voltex might be the morally ambiguous King....

Burnmad: ...or maybe the Villager was behind it all.

48 hours.

Morally unambiguous.

Your rhymes are effective but rhythm is lame;

Your style's defective and so is your brain.

Fosho is made-up, and — really? Just yo?

At least you didn't try to rhyme Meso with Chro...

A poor comparison, 'cause everyone knows,

No challenge at all when we go toe to toe.

I'm the picture of lack of defeat!

Get out the way or get beat!

Your style's not fresh, keep it shelved.

I shouldn't even rap against a boy of twelve!

Plus every rap you make sounds mostly the same!

Give an effort, why dontcha? Or get out of the game!
