    Hey there, kids. :D

Just a few minutes ago, I was taking a little break from my writing when I had the sudden urge to check out BZPower. Ever since senior year of high school, and especially now with college, good ol' BZP has been put on the back burner. I won't say 'no longer' since that would be lying.

Though I may pop in here and there (maybe review a story or two, enter a contest), I'm going to remain rather ghost-like as I work on some personal projects... projects of the writing variety. As much as I'd like to write a random comedy or SS, I have some other stories to focus on.

It makes me nostalgic, really, as I look at the Epics forum or scan through some of my old epics... But, for right now, I'm moving on. No, this isn't goodbye. Just, I'll see you every once in a while.

Message me if you like. :)

    :kaukau: -JG

P.S. Wow, it's amazing how I did my sign-off so automatically, even though it's been a few months.....

I have noticed something while browsing through people's blogs... Some of the comments have been edited by someone other than the blog owner, or the poster of the comment. I have seen 2 or 3 but it is still a bit odd. Could it be a forum/blog glitch?

I personally locked it... So? Thanks to Volar for clearing it up.

Be sure to check my previous blog entry "1+4+0+8=13! Cute..."

Actually I was GOING to take advantage of the new rules but it turns out there is very little I do elsewhere that qualifies as 100% safe-for-BZP

I guess the Solace of Legoman Values is pretty BZP-friendly, although I personally rarely post anything there

Also the Official BAC Tumblr should be fine I think??

But most importantly, HERE IS MY DEVIANTART

I had to remove some SEXY HAKANN FANART from my favorites just to post it here so I hope you're all happy

  3. I'll put some pictures later today in this entry, but I just wanted to let those of you who care (read: none) know.

  5. Hey BZP. It's been a while. Glad to see you're still around.

You know, it's been 13 years since I registered here when I was just a kid and wow, how life has changed.

I guess the biggest change would be how about 8 or so months ago I came out of the closet and decided to live life true to myself as a woman. It's been great and everyone in my life has been supportive. Not really the reason I'm writing this though, not sure I really have a reason for writing this.

October is almost over, and that means my birth month and favorite time of year is coming to a close, but every October I end up thinking about this place and what it meant, and still means to me.

I just wanted to thank all the admins, mods, and awesome users over the years for creating a wonderful community and more than that, keeping it around for so long past the expiration of the franchise it was based on. I know BZP isn't what it used to be, and I'm okay with that, things change, as I've learned through life.

And at the end of the day? Change ain't so bad.

Thanks for listening to my stream of consciousness throw words at a blog post for a while.

  6. blog-0635737001376723610.pngThe AccelePedia was once the largest Hot Wheels AcceleRacers / World Race wiki and community. For a few years, it remained a thriving place, but then a major data loss began to kill it off. When I recently realized the AccelePedia was near death, I knew I had to do something about it. So I proposed a plan for a complete and much needed overhaul of the site and forums and assembled a staff to help me with it. The site hasn't been updated since 2006, and the phpBB forums since 2007. That all changed today, when I installed IP.Board. If you are unfamiliar with what IP.Board is, it is the same exact forum software BZP runs on! The drastic change in AccelePedia's forums nearly brought tears to my eyes. My first online community finally has rebounded, after all these years. Aside from BZP, you won't find a better community than the AccelePedia anywhere on the internet. As a side note, BZP and AccelePedia actually share a few members aside from myself.

I invite you all to be a part of this rejuvenated community, whether you're a fan of Hotwheels and cars in general or not. Myself and my fellow staff members have worked extremely hard every single day preparing for this upgrade and the upcoming site upgrade for the past month and a half. And I kid you not when I say EVERY SINGLE DAY. So please, at least give the AccelePedia a look, and join if you like what you see. And please spread the word about the AccelePedia if you like it! We need all the members we can get!

You can visit the AccelePedia at: http://www.accelepedia.com/mb3

  7. If you haven't seen it yet, go here.

This time, the theme revolves around building your very own castle/fortress/big strong building thingy.

Which is not what I would call up my alley. Although I had ideas about building something like that in the past...

Nevertheless, I'm still contemplating whether I should or should not build something.

I think I'll build somesort of prototype to see what my options are.

if all goes well, you should see me in the polls some time in the future.

  8. Come gather around grampa MoJ, it's story time folks. I was hanging out with my friend today, and we decided to walk to where my other friend works So, as soon as we step outside, it started pooouuuring rain out. I mean, seriously, it was like the sky bust a pipe or somthing. I was soaked , and so was my friend. And as this happened, we saw lightning out in the distance. Not the little flash, but the whole bolt. It was terrifying, but awesome at the same time.

It's 11:00 PM on a Sunday, and I just watched "Mask of Light" for the first time, just for the heck of it. I am super bored and have consumed many adult beverages.

    Bizarre, huh?

Wow. WOOW. It sure has been a while. Haven't been on the boards in months. I guess I stopped coming here after my interest in Bionicle waned. So. Hi! How's everyone doing? What have I missed?

  11. The forums are back and we all get premier perks for a month! Yay! ^_^

I'll see what I can do about getting a new MOC posted. :)

Just finished booking flight and hotel for a week stay in Seattle at the end of February. I've never been there, let alone out of the country, so I'm super excited. It'll be mainly a solo vacation, as I've discovered that I like to do these things every couple of years.

I found a great little boutique hotel that looks very homey. It's right in the middle of the Belltown area, which apparently is one of the best places for cafes, shops, and seaboard walking. I get the feeling I'll be doing a lot of writing while I'm there!

On that topic, I've started to progress past the phase where one begins a book and then realizes that one needs to fill out more details of the story. I've always had the grand vision of this book with the important plot points, but realized that I needed a cast of characters. It's interesting as it starts out bigger than the beginning of A Play of Light due to the already established characters, but if I say more I would be spoiling some parts of the plot in Play right now.

Another interesting thing to note is that I was worried I was moving on too quickly, and would get stuck in writer's exhaustion after finishing Play. It seems not - I've been able to write a bit every day. The chapters are turning out a bit longer, which I'm happy with since it feels like Play's were a bit too short each time I post them now.

I may update again during or after Seattle. Look forward to that and perhaps a couple of pictures! =)

You know how I said I wanted to go to Finland to study abroad?

    Well, I've finally done it.

After two years of planning, I got onto a plane back in August (I am really terrible at keeping up with my blog). And since being here, I have made many Swedish-speaking Finnish friends, explored the towns, took a cruise on over to Stockholm, and so much more.

I have been to sitz parties (so much better than the parties back home: there's food!), I have a pair of overalls with over a dozen patches either on it or ready to be sewn onto it.

I'll try to remember some BZP appropriate stories. Maybe they'll be funny, maybe you'll hate me for wasting your time.

But the Best way I can summarize Finland: I was born in the US, but I found my heart in Finland.

  17. I hate to say it, but this is it. This isn't going to be like before where I've said that I'll be gone for a while and then come back before the week is out, this time I really mean it and I don't have a choice. Life issues have reached a critical point, and if I want to have any meaningful future, it's very likely I'll have to cut BZP out of it. I will not be able to get on BZP again for a very long time. Not a week, not a month, maybe not even in the summer.

I've enjoyed my time here, and I'm thankful for the opportunity I've had to spend time with everyone on here. I just wish that in the end, I could've done more to make sure my stay was longer, and that things didn't have to end the way they are.

To anyone I've made obligations to--I'm sorry I won't be able to fulfill them. To anyone who I've forged friendships with--it's been great, and I hope if I ever get back on here, you'll all still be around. To anyone who reads this, I'll miss my time here.

    Farewell, everyone.

  19. Yadadadadada hello guys. Today, you will experience the inexorable, magnificatomous, agkajkgjakgjakjgkajgk and just great suffering joy of listening to my voice, or message, anyway, the day after Christmas.

Now that I've annoyed you enough with my fake arrogance, we can get to the important part of this blog entry: SONGS OF THE CHRISTMAS WEEK.

I've been watching movies like Home Alone, Love Actually, etc. lately, and got together a pick of christmas-related songs to listen to.

    1. Christmas Is All Around, because of how dead you'll be with laughter by the end.

    2. Coldplay - Christmas Lights, because they're awesome.

    3. 30 Seconds to Mars - Santa Through The Back Door, because above.

    4. Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas, because it's classic

    5. Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You. As much as I detest her, it's a classic song, it simply cannot be detested.

Now. A lot less interesting part of this blog entry.

    For Christmas, I got:

    1. A jumper.

    2. The Sims Medieval - Pirates and Nobles expansion

    3. A few encyclopedic books

    4. Mario Puzo, The Sicilian

    5. A promise to get Book 3 and Book 4 of A Song of Ice And Fire by New Year's

    6. A large sum of money

    7. Divinity II

  20. Courtesy of Lego.com, I have now installed Hero Factory defense services on my blog. B)
