  1. Granted. Then language becomes obsolete and people start communicating through strange, animal like gestures and sounds. I wish for a replica of the Alamo to be built in my yard.
  2. If previous information is correct, members are allowed to post reviews in the "Bionicle Sets" forum. Unless the rule has changed from, a few years ago, I think you still can.
  3. I don't see why you would comment negatively on looking at leaked images; it's not like you do any harm by looking at them. Sure, the actual leakers did wrong, but if the information is out there, can you really expect people not to look at it?
  4. I just reread the essay I wrote for last May's SAT. I decided at an early stage that I was going to use fake examples. One of them was about Tom Sanders, a fictional janitor who was able to greatly improve his work ability after being encouraged. The rather amusing part is that it actually worked; my score didn't seem hurt at all by the obviously fake examples. (Also, I just realized how awful my handwriting was. I'm surprised they were even able to read it.)
  5. When I first saw the way the moved, I thought I had put it in wrong or the part was defective. I honestly have no idea why they thought that was a good idea.
  6. I also feel that these results used size as too large of a factor. The MOC was awesome, but the general results here are just continuing the misguided trend of bigger=automatically better. Still, that's not to knock the winner. The MOC was fantastic. Congratulations.
  7. Any time someone fins a way to use both "vilify" and "vitrify" in a game's dialog, the game instantly deserves respect. On a side note, I'm finally getting the orange box, so I'm fairly excited to get to play more stuff by Valve.
  8. Personally, I don't consider most of the pieces listed to be Bionicle, since they are technic at heart. As for bionicle-exclusive pieces, I would probably say that metru chest armor pieces are the most versatile. As for least, I'd go with most pre-molded limbs.
  9. Why not contact them and ask for a code you can use?
  10. Something tells me it isn't Tyler. I vote for The Otter.
  11. I'm bored with using MOCs as avatars, and I really can't think of anything better. So I'm asking you. Give any relevant suggestions here if you want to. I might even have a voting round for them.

    FINALS

I did the same thing last week in an essay on Pleasantville and got a 97, so it seems to work. I've found that what you say is much less important than how you say it. Eloquence beats intelligence any day.
  13. Add me. (This game totally should have been called Pyroland.)
  14. Yesterday was the last day of my math class at the community college, and the teacher decided to give out the final grades while watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original) on a probably illegal video site. Unfortunately, the fact that it was a probably illegal video site meant that there were no quality requirements. In other words, the movie cut off right when the Grinch had taken all of the presents. Such an inopportune time for a cutoff. Sadly, neither I nor the rest of the class was able to see the ending. All of us are driven mad wondering if the Grinch was stopped.
  15. Yeah, I don't want to collect all of the elements. Just the ones that are sufficiently safe. I'm not after any plutonium or astatine.
  16. I just thought it would be interesting to say that I have a partial collection of the elements of the periodic table. At this point, I have about 30. I'll post a picture of my collection here after Christmas. Does anyone else here do something like this?
  17. I agree that it seems a bit lazy to enter old MoCs, but I wouldn't hold it against someone if they wanted to enter what they may consider their crowning achievement. They did still put the effort to build it at some point. That some people put quantity over quality certainly isn't in doubt and a limit on the number of entries may have encouraged them to do a bit better. As it is a contest to build the ultimate villian, I'm not surprised that a bunch of Makuta MoCs were built. What other villian has been so stinking awesome in the BIONICLE (or imho ANY) universe? And while there are quite a few Makuta MoCs that are fairly generic, black/red/bat wings, Makuta are shape shifters, so there's room for an infinite variety of possible MoCs that could be called "Makuta". I think that there are some that pulled that off wonderfully. I exclude myself from the previous statement of course because including myself would be exceptionally arrogant. I leave it to others to judge how well I built my MoC. And yes, my entry is a Makuta, but that's only because I put my effort into the build and was admittedly somewhat lazy with the back story True the old MOCs had effort put into them, but always posting your old creation instead of actually trying to challenge yourself to build something new and different will result in the decay of the building skills as the poster will rely on its past work instead of a current. I've been relying on my past work for contests to some degree for the whole year (I make a point of saving all good MOCs for contests), and my building skills haven't suffered.
  18. Pockyland got less than the other sites, probably due to the language barrier (thankfully chrome can translate a page ).Actually it is majorly because PockyLand is a Taiwan(which is a small island)-based forum with a small amountHong Kong and China users. And for some reason Bionicle and other buildable figures are generally considered as designed for kids in these regions. Also the Bionicle sub-forum of PockyLand had been in ice-age stage since the series eneded 2010, as the main MOCers don't really like Hero Factory much lol. Well now I'm a little bummed out cause that's the only site where I didn't send my entries. I would've sent mine there, but the website wouldn't let me, figures. I couldn't figure out how to enter, or I would have as well. Google translate is not my friend. It took me a few days to learn how to be allowed to post. How did you become allowed to post? Was it something about a red envelope? I was never able to find it.
  19. I'm wondering this exact thing. Who robbed the cannon armory?
