  1. I have decided to come down significantly in price. I wasn't really sure what to price these at, so I figured I'd start high and see what people would counter-offer me. Sorry for the initial sticker shock everyone! You may remember Fifi2004's topic about the prototype Pohatu and White Huna for trade. He was looking to get the coveted Cloud City Star Wars set MISB in a trade for the Huna. That set is worth $1000. So that mask then is worth $1000. The Miru is equally rare if not more rare than that Huna, so it should therefore be worth $1000 or more. But I can see that no one will be able to pay those kinds of prices (I know I couldn't afford that! ), so I have reduced that price significantly to a much more reasonable $300. The Tohunga and Turaga are even more rare perhaps than the Miru or Toa prototypes in general. I mean, when have you ever seen these for sale? Actually, when have you ever even seen pictures of those before? I haven't. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
  2. Hey guys! As many of you know, I have recently acquired several prototypes from 2001. I am holding on to most of them, but there are a few that I would be willing to sell or trade. These prototype masks, sets, and pieces are the rarest of Bionicle collectibles save the Platinum Avohkii. Even a Solid Gold Hau is not as rare as these prototypes. They are among the rarest of all Lego collectibles, in fact. Because of the extreme rarity of these prototypes, they are incredibly valuable. You can see pictures in my topic in Bionicle Sets and Collectibles. Legend: Black: Available Blue: On hold Red: Sold The ones that are available are: Kanohi: $300 each -Green Miru (from prototype Lewa) Matoran: $100 each -TAKUA PROTOTYPE -Two Matoro Tohunga ONE SOLD ONE ON HOLD -Jala Tohunga -Maku Tohunga Two Left -Onepu Tohunga -Kongu Tohunga ONE LEFT *Note that the Kanohi of these Tohunga prototypes are the regular production masks, and they are not prototypes. I don't believe prototypes of these masks were made, because there were already prototypes of these masks in different colors. Turaga: $200 each -Turaga Vakama -Turaga Nokama -Turaga Matau -Turaga Onewa -Turaga Whenua -Turaga Nuju Feel free to make an offer for any of the above. If you would like to trade, I am looking for items such as Solid Gold Haus, VMKK, WMKK, SSKK, GPKK, Gold Kanoka, misprints, other prototype masks such as White Huna, Yellow Ruru, Brown Komau, Metru Red Huna, Metru Blue Matatu, and Swirl Blue/White Miru, and complete or near complete sets of masks, Krana, Kraata, and Kanoka.
  3. I noticed that Brickshelf is down, and therefore my signature no longer appears. Is it just down for maintenance, or is it down permanently?
  4. I have a pretty extensive collection of Bionicle prototypes, but other than that, I don't have very many collectibles. I am looking for VMKK, WMKK, SSKK, and GPKK, along with completing my mask, Krana, and Kraata collection from 2001-2003 and a Kanoka, Rhotuka, and Zamor collection from 2004-2006. The only one I know I won't get is the Platinum Avohkii. (Unless I win the lottery. ) I am however, looking for the Solid Gold Hau.
  5. Purple Dave from MoD was the one who had it. I don't know if he still does or not. The reason why a Cuusoo project for this wouldn't work is because Bionicle is dead for the time being, and they're not going to produce another Bionicle set without reviving Bionicle itself. And the Sand Tarakava would not be the one they would start Bionicle back up with.
  6. My Brickshelf folder containing the pictures of most of my prototypes is now public! You can see the majority of the prototypes I own there. I didn't take pictures of the duplicates or some of the McToran and Turaga, however. If you want, I will post the rest of the Turaga and McToran. Here is the link: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=529324
  7. Thanks! I drew Tahu much more recently, so my skill had greatly improved by then.

    Tanma

I was looking through all my old artwork, and I discovered a few drawings I did of Bionicles. One of them was a pencil drawing of Tanma from 2008 in all his Av-Toran glory. Link. Please link to images larger than 500 kB. - B6 Here is the link to the rest of the pictures of the drawing in my Brickshelf gallery. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=529053 So what do you guys think? I personally think it was good, but I could do a much superior job now. It definitely needs more shading.
  9. I bought them off of eBay. I got really lucky, I suppose, because this is the first time I've seen prototypes for sale on eBay. Here's a side by side comparison of prototype Lewa vs normal Lewa. The prototype is not completely composed of prototype pieces, but the mask, ax, chest piece and left arm are prototype pieces. Prototype Ax is on top. Personally, I like it better than the final version. And here's the prototype Miru next to the final version. It's code (3-LT), is located on the chin of the mask. The interior of both masks. Of course, the difference here is the stud that connects the mask to the face. Ok, here is Kopaka. His mask, sword, and feet are prototype parts. There are little tabs on the bottom of the feet of the prototype. Prototype is on right. Also, where the circles are present in the final version, there are slight depressions. Here is a comparison of the prototype Akaku to the final version, with the prototype on the right. Unlike some of the other Toa Mata masks, the prototype Akaku had no code on the front. The differences are the tab that sticks out of one of the openings in the forehead, and the ridges in the eyepiece. Also, the construction and material of the mask gives it an unfinished look, almost like it was roughly sculpted. This is true of all prototype masks. It is especially present on the Akaku and Kakama however.
  10. I'll start off with pictures of the Trans-Blue Rurus. And for comparison, Note the Z-07 code on the front of the prototype, which is the one on the left. On the interior of the mask, the stud that connects it to the head is of larger diameter on the prototype. This is a feature of all prototype Kanohi from 2001. Again, it is on the left. And here's all four of them. They're also much smoother than the final version, and it seems like the plastic is slightly more translucent. Although my normal TB Rurus are a bit dusty.
  11. This is actually the first time I have seen any prototypes for sale on eBay however. I guess I got lucky! You can enable it with a button to the left on the search results.
  12. Try an international search. Shipping can be expensive, but if you find something like this, its worth it!
  13. As many of you know, I recently bought a bunch of prototypes from 2001. They're mainly Kanohi, but there are several prototype tools and other parts as well. They have finally arrived I would love to know who else has some of these prototypes, particularly the Turaga Kanohi and the Trans Blue Rurus. By the way, to anyone I have talked to about these, the Pahrak was not in fact a prototype. Here's the list: -Four Nui Jaga Trans-Blue Rurus with Z-07 code on front of each one -Pohatu Kakama with 5-MG code on forehead -Kopaka Akaku (Had no code) -Lewa Miru with 3-LT code on chin -Two Turaga Vakama & Huna (Had no code) -Two Turaga Nuju & Matatu (Had no code) -Two Turaga Nokama & Rau (Had no code) -Two Turaga Matau & Mahiki (Had no code) -Two Turaga Onewa & Komau (Had no code) -Turaga Vakama, Nokama, and Matau head and feet -Nokama Trident -Vakama Firestaff -Matau Kau Kau Staff -Lewa Ax Tool -Pohatu Mata Feet Additions -Kopaka Mata Sword -Lewa Ax Arm -Kopaka Feet -Pohatu Legs -Pohatu Head -Ball Armor on all three Toa -Two Matoros with one light sand color arm. (Lighter than Huki's. No prototype mask.) -Two Jalas (No prototype mask) -Two Kongus (No prototype mask) -Two Makus (No prototype mask) -Two Hukis (No prototype mask) -Two Onepus (No prototype mask) -Partially prototype Muaka and Kane Ra 6 more prototype McToran are on the way as well, along with several other masks including a misprint Kaukau. (Trans Light Blue) I'm not sure how many of these masks are prototypes. I will be posting pictures of all of my prototypes, but I will be absent from BZPower for a week starting Sunday. I will post some tonight and tomorrow.
  14. Happy Birthday Flaredrick! You are not the forgotten one today!
  15. Like I said, Mc, when my prototypes get here, I might be willing to trade for those.
  16. This is awesome Guurahk! It is flawed, of course, but that's because its from memory. Have a picture close by next time!
  17. My contest entry is going to be the complete opposite of yours. Big, scary, and lots of teeth. I really like Ozzy though. It's a great and very original design. And yes, he is adorable. Good luck!
  18. I would make his neck just a tiny bit longer, but other than that, its a superb MOC. Good luck in the contest!
  19. What condition is the chrome Rua in? I may be interested in buying the Rua, Pakari, and the brown Hau Nuva.
  20. Oh I see. I would recommend trying out a wheel for your racing games. It adds a whole new level of immersion to them. I primarily play iRacing, rFactor, and netKar Pro, which all require a wheel and pedals for you to be successful due to the extreme level of realism. (Profesional race car drivers train with iRacing) I still love Forza though, because there are just so many cars and the game is just awesome in general. You should really check out iRacing though. Its really amazing. Its by far the best racing simulator on the market.
  21. Ok, I have ordered a second Happy Meal box, this time from 2006! It features the Toa Inika and Piraka of course. If anybody has Bionicle Happy Meal boxes, PM me! I still need about three more, I think, to complete my collection.
  22. The RS is a beast. Its a shame they won't bring it to the US. Lucky Brits! So you use a wheel and pedals then rather than a controller? Same with me. I love that Mercedes!
