  1. OOC: He's not shouting, just speaking slightly louder than normal. Hoto's hearing is injured, he's trying to be nice. IC: Jayar / Infirmary "That's okay. We have enough fighters on this school anyway. I'm looking for help navigating without vision, and you're the only one with experience in that. I'd just like a few pointers." He hoped he wasn't coming off as a jerk. "I'd be happy to repay you somehow if you like."
  2. IC: Jayar / The Infirmary "My name is Jayar." Jayar said, speaking loudly and clearly, as she grabbed his arm. "You haven't met me yet. I'm a Rahkshi of Quick Healing. I'm trying to practice fighting blind, and I was told you could help me. But if you don't feel up to it, then I could come back later. Or not at all, if you would prefer." He wondered what had happened to Hoto to land her in the infirmary.
  3. IC: Jayar Jayar quickly arrived at the infirmary. He spotted a Rahkshi of Dodge who matched Hoto's description and walked over to her bed, consciously taking heavy steps so that she could hear his approach. "Excuse me, are you Hoto?" he asked the Rahkshi of Dodge politely.
  4. Avak She definitely has a breathing tube and not a mustache.
  5. IC: Jayar / Library-->Halls Finally Jayar exhausted the shelves upon which such a book as he was seeking might be found. The quest had been almost entirely in vain, the one relevant book he had found was entitled "Cooking for the Blind." Jayar had no idea why that book was even in the library, in the fighting section no less, except perhaps as a joke. Clearly he would have to accumulate the knowledge he desired elsewhere. He noticed Squid was on the library. Since Squid was one of the more experienced (and friendly) students at Corpus Rahkshi, Jayar figured he would probably know of someone who could help. He walked over and asked the self-proclaimed Squirahk, who directed him to a Rahkshi of Dodge named Hoto. Jayar remembered a being of her description had been in the Infirmary when he delivered Toxin there, so he left the library and headed for the infirmary. OOC: I'm assuming Squid at least knows of Hoto. Hope having him tell Jayar this wasn't bunnying. Also, Merry Christmas! Jayar open to interaction.
  6. Same here. It's also the first RPG I've ever paid attention too, though, so that doesn't mean much... (Except that it was awesome enough to draw me into RPing when I had previously not cared.)
  7. As of yet he doesn't know about Hoto, but I'm planning for him to talk to her as soon as he finds out. Thanks!
  8. Granted, it already has, but its grave is Earth and it returned as a zombie years ago. I wish the reply button was green instead of black.
  9. IC: Jayar / Refectory-->Library Jayar thought about his encounter with Exann earlier. It had been due to his overconfidence that he had tripped over the level 3 Rahkshi, of that he was certain. He should not have expected to be suddenly capable of navigating perfectly without vision. Like all worthy skills, that would have to be learned. He firmly resolved to do so. Finishing his slop, Jayar rose from his table and, grabbing his staff, left the Refectory and headed to the library. Inside he found a gathering of Rahkshi around a talent show poster. The thought of reading some of his poetry crossed his mind, but soon vanished. Despite his confidence in battle, he wasn't sure if he could withstand others hearing his poetic works. Still, if the show food occur, he would be sure to go and watch the performers. A friendly gathering of artists sounded like just what the school needed. Contemplation on that compete, he began to comb the shelves for a book on fighting without sight. He realized after a few minutes, however, that he was unlikely to find anything, as those who needed such a book would be unable to read it and therefore such a book would be useless except to those who, like him, felt such obscure knowledge would be useful in battle on the off chance an enemy could incapacitate one's sight. OOC: Jayar open to interaction.
  10. Happy birthday Av and Ultron (and anyone else whose birthday is recent/upcoming but hasn't said so)! Also, Ultron, can I make two profiles for one Rahkshi with two compartmentalized personalities? Name, gender, appearance, personality, and biography all vary between them.
  11. Wait, hold up... So, it went from Tohunga only, to Matoran only, to Matoran and Tohunga, and now it's back to Matoran only? So it's a retcon, of a retcon, of a retcon? This couldn't get any deeper if Leonardo DiCaprio showed up and started spinning a top around. -Toa Levacius Zehvor Retconception.
  12. Rockilini team sounds epic. It would be interesting if Tridax put enemies like Fang and Exann (if they joined, which is admittedly unlikely) on the same team to see what would happen. Also, I have an idea for a second character with dissociative identity disorder. I'd like to present this with two profiles, one for each alter, would that work?
  13. IC: Jayar / The Gym "I apologize. I thought was proficient in navigation without sight, but I have proven myself wrong." said Jayar before moving on, cursing his overconfidence. He returned the blindfold to its place in the armory and headed over to the Refectory to grab what passed for a meal at Corpus Rahkshi. OOC: if it wasn't clear, Jayar was trying to train to fight while blinded. Also Jayar open to interaction.
  14. Short's accent has become even more pronounced now that Exann complained about it hasn't it?
  15. IC: Jayar After a few minutes of watching Short torture Squid Jayar went off to his dorm room. He pulled out his poetry book, made a few revisions to his earlier poem, and went to bed. Upon waking, he headed over to the Gymnasium for some training. He grabbed a white blindfold from the armory and put it on before proceeding to demolish several dummies with his wooden staff. Unfortunately, the epic effect of this feat was rather ruined when he stumbled backwards over Exxan. As he finagled to keep his balance he ripped off his blindfold, and seeing Exann, mentally cursed the devious combination of his own ego and bad luck which had lead to this.
  16. Almost always, though nothing off the top of my head... *thinks* Okay, I gave Onua and Gali Mistika melee weapons because I really hated that they had none. I also figured out how to get Strakk's ice spikes to be perpendicular to his upper arms since they got in the way of posing otherwise. That's just a few of many.
  17. I expect we will see a new version of the Toa each year but with a different 'motif' so to speak. Think of the Mahri with their underwater motif, Phantoka/Mistika with their flight motif, or Hordika/3.0 heroes with their animal motifs. I suspect we'll get stuff like that but with the same heroes each time. Only thing I don't like about such motifs is they tend to correspond to an element, and then it feels like one Toa has an unfair advantage. But if it's done right it should be fine.
  18. Granted, they take over the world and everyone just accepts it. I wish Darth Vader was Vakama's brother.
  19. Talent show sounds cool. I support it.
  20. @Toa of Dancing You still are though... (Short) Actually it was you who inspired me to do so. But I was referring to everyone else who just started doing so.
  21. I put locations in my posts before it was cool. *tries and fails to remember sunglasses emoticon code*
  22. Yeah, but a split personality Rahkshi sounds like so much fun... Hmmm... I've been thinking about making another character...
  23. Split personality disorder is pretty much a form of insanity though.
  24. Give Omega split personality disorder. That might be fun. Wow, time is warped in Corpus Rahkshi. In the same time Short got knocked around by Vaalku and walked over to the diplomacy classroom, Jayar messed with Poly, wrote a poem, carried Bullseye to the infirmary, had a diplomacy class, and read most of a book in the library. And now their timelines have connected again.
