  1. IC: Jayar Jayar finished a chapter and lowered 'Diplomacy: A Better Form Of War.' He carefully returned it to its place on the shelf and walked out of the library, headed to his room. On his way there he passed by the diplomacy classroom again and heard a familiar heavily-accented voice, emanating from about waist level, demanding to be taught to be 'dip-a-lomatic.' Short. Jayar smiled and peeked his head in the door, wondering what and how Squid would teach his small friend.
  2. That is a very good point and I feel rather ignorant now. Oh well. Corpus Rahkshi is demoted to semi-headcanon now.
  3. It depends on whether Tridax has any say in it. If he does, Fang isn't likely to be promoted, is he?
  4. All Rahkshi must work in unison and be controlled by different players.
  5. Calling MoCing rights will definitely stop everyone from making their own MoCs. Surly the Toa will transform, but I'm with bonesiii, hopeful they won't do anything dumb like last time.
  6. IC: Jayar "Thanks. I'll come again sometime. Name's Jayar, by the way. You're Squid, right?" The Squirahk nodded. Jayar said goodbye and left the room. He wandered over to the Library and randomly grabbed a book. It turned out to be called 'How to Ruthlessly Crush an Opponent in Seven Easy Steps.' Jayar shook his head and put the book back before moving on and selecting a book entitled 'Diplomacy: A Better Form of War.' He sat down and began to read. OOC: I know titles should be italicized but I'm on mobile so deal with it. Anyway Jayar open for interaction.
  7. Hmm... Well, I headcanon Corpus Rahkshi, more or less. Intelligent Rahkshi always appealed to me, but I never knew how to implement the concept until that. I also headcanon that some Skakdi were off of Zakaz trading or something when Spiriah was doing his tampering and therefore lack powers and are nice. Also as many others have mentioned, no tribe-based gender restrictions. And when I opened this topic I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.
  8. Granted, but the world economy plunges into total chaos and humans regress into primitive hunter-gatherers. I wish I had a charger for an HP Probook laptop.
  9. IC: Jayar / Diplomacy Classroom Jayar nodded. It wasn't as good advice as he had hoped, but it was something. "Thank you." He told Squid as he stood up to leave. "I admire you for doing this." Then an idea occurred to him. "Have you thought about holding formal, or at least semiformal, conflict mediation sessions?"
  10. IC: Jayar / Diplomacy Classroom "What if there are two Rahks already fighting? How can I mediate then?" Asked Jayar. The fight between the Lerahk - he vowed not to think his name - and the Derahk - weighed in his mind.
  11. IC: Jayar / Diplomacy Class Jayar sat down. "Thank you. I want to learn to help others settle their disagreements with words rather than weapons. A sort of peer mediation."
  12. @ArticFreeze17 Check them out here: http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/Kraata_Variations Level two limited invulnerability Rahkshi have 'metal-like skin' which protects them from 'almost any physical harm.' Note that that probably leaves vulnerability to sound, poison, etc.
  13. IC: Jayar / Squid's Room Before Squid could answer, a metallic crash resounded from the hallway. Jayar looked out the door and saw that a Rahkshi of Poison had collapsed on the ground. "Erm, better make that 'can I join your class as soon as I bring him to the infirmary. Sorry." Said Jayar, retreating from Squid's room and into the hallway. Realizing the Lerahk was bleeding, Jayar ducked into a vacant room and grabbed the sheets off the bed. The porters would replace them later. He tied them tightly around the fallen Rahkshi's wounds before picking him up and delivering him to Palma's care in the infirmary. He then returned to Squid's room. The whole thing has taken maybe five minutes. "I apologize. I could not leave an injured Rahkshi there to die. I hope I can still join your class?" He asked Squid.
  14. Phogen should definitely have a small purring thing so that she can stroke it while she goes about her evil plans.
  15. OOC: Well, looks like I have internet access after all  IC: Jayar / His room As he finished his poem, Jayar heard a clamor out in the hallway. He lifted his mattress from the frame of the bed and returned his book to its hiding place, then rushed out the door to see what was going on now. By the time he got through the hallway to the site of the commotion, however, he was just in time to see an entirely white Rahkshi being carried to the infirmary. Too late to help. As a result of this excursion, however, he also noticed that Squid's diplomacy class was apparently on again. He knocked on the door and poked his head into Squid's room. "May I join your diplomacy class?" he asked the Rahkshi of Chain Lightning, barely noticing his small size after having encountered Short.
  16. IC: Jayar / The Courtyard Jayar watched with sadness and signed as the Derahk, rather than coming clean, turned and ran, and the Lerahk escaped Jayar's hold and struck down his armor. Clearly these two were not going to since their problem peacefully. He heard the Derahk's Kraata shout, 'Not today, Poly!' Was the Lerahk's name the source of this conflict? No matter, if he wanted it secret, Jayar would permit him that. "Your name will remain secret with me," he told the Lerahk. Then he walked away. He didn't feel like continuing on to the library after all this. Instead, he returned to his dormitory. Lifting his mattress from the bed, he pulled from under it a small leather notebook - his book of poetry. Flipping to a blank page, he began to write a new poem. It was an expression of his frustration at the disunity of the students of Corpus Rahkshi. Then he remembered Short, and how the small Rahkshi had accepted his friendship, and felt hope. He wrote that into his poem too. OOC: This might be my last post for the next week or so since my internet access may be limited.
  17. How does Dallior know Poly's name? Do you know, Dallior08? Because it seems like time to say. Also, there is paper at Corpus Rahkshi right?
  18. Didn't someone tear down the sign?
  19. He was such a narrow-minded sort, demanding huge price up front. So I guess he's safe?... Safe? From Phogen? No one's safe from Phogen. I just hope he doesn't get Melody. Such innocence under Phogen's control would be simply tragic.
  20. IC: Jayar / The Courtyard Jayar didn't flinch from the Rhotuka launcher thrust in his face, but when the Lerahk poked his(?) rapier into the Derahk's neck Jayar knocked sword downward with his staff. "I will not stand by and allow you to harm the innocent - if he is innocent, which until proven guilty, he is." Jayar now turned to the Derahk. "But if you are lying - and that seems likely - then I cannot justly defend you. I would advise you tell the truth now, for if it comes forth later by another mouth, then you will have the guilt of your falsity upon you as well as whatever else you are guilty for... which, by the way, is...?" OOC: What does an energy blast Rhotuka do exactly? So I know how Jayar will respond if he's hit. Feel free to land him in the infirmary, that would be a decent explanation of my (probable) absence for the next week anyway.
  21. IC: Jayar / The Courtyard Hearing the Lerahk's shishkabab threat, Jayar decided that it was time to step in, hopefully diplomatically. But if that went as well as Squid's diplomacy class, he would not hestiate to use force. He stepped up to the two Rahkshi in their confrontation and held his staff out between them, equally distant from each, for he had not yet taken sides. "I have seen enough senseless fighting today." he said to both Rahkshi. "Whatever the problem between you is, can you not solve it with words before it becomes war? Lower your weapons."
  22. I may not have Internet access 12/21 - 12/28

  23. Well, Pohatu could PM the diplomacy students with the location. IC there would be little way for Siren to find out. Or we could just... arrange... for Siren to be taken care of . Oh Karzahni that sounded like Phogen
  24. Agreed. Perhaps next time he should have a sign-up list, and then hold the class in a secret location. Or something like that. A diplomacy class would be a really good thing for the fractious students of Corpus Rahkshi to have.
