  1. IC: Jayar / The Gym Saying goodbye to his small friend, Jayar began to walk to the library. On his way, however, he passed by an uproarious gathering of Rahkshi gathered in and around a dormitory. He noticed that there was a sign on the door offering diplomacy classes and shook his head. Obviously that hadn't gone as planned. What a pity. Diplomacy skills were something most students as Corpus Rahkshi severely lacked, and it was paving the way for a few to rise from the clamor as kings by treating the rest as pawns. Jayar sighed and took note of the Rahkshi of Chain Lighting who seemed to be running the thing - wasn't his name Squid? Jayar decided to come back later and inquire about taking those classes. He wandered into the courtyard and came across a Derahk at the mercy of a rapier-wielding Lerahk. Another example of the continual infighting. Jayar stood back to watch - if the Lerahk were to attempt to murder his prey, Jayar would have to step in. He could not allow such a thing to happen.
  2. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians

  3. I voted 2007 just imagining a full-length version of the Mahri mini movie. The darkness of the Pit was one of my favorite Bionicle settings, and I would really like to see Matoro's sacrifice onscreen. 2001 is a close second though.
  4. Well, diplomacy class didn't go as planned. Is Squid going to hold classes again later, Pohatu?
  5. Fang is pretty much the only active moralist so far. People like that, especially in its stark contrast to Phogen and her schemes.
  6. Granted, but you become one of the characters in your animation, and have to stand torturously still while someone else takes pictures. I wish that golden retrievers were made of actual gold.
  7. I thought that scene was symbolizing his acceptance of his destiny, without which he could not have become a Toa. Also, it just occurred to me that Takua collected six Toa stones to summon the Toa before the events of MNOG and never became a Toa by touching them.
  8. Squid's giving diplomacy classes? Count Jayar in! (As soon as he sees the poster, anyways.)
  9. Also note, for the subject of how easily Kanoka they can be thrown, that Bionicle characters have superhuman strength. If Toa can lift over a ton, Matoran should be able to throw a pizza-sized piece of Protodermis a fair distance, right? Come to think of it, how heavy is purified Protodermis? It can't be too heavy if a magnet can hold a Kanohi onto someone's face.
  10. Heads up, I may or may not have access to the Internet for about a week starting Sunday. Shouldn't be a big deal, Jayar's not done/doing much yet anyways. Of course, an assignment will probably come up right at the beginning of that duration, just so that he can't participate.
  11. Well, it's kind of a subjective thing. Different people will remember different things as the essence of Bionicle. For some people, the essence will be there, for others it won't. I think it is, though. We've got our mysterious island, mask quest, elemental heroes, gear functions and poseability, and evil mind control, which really screams Bionicle to me. Others may miss the Gen1 building system (as opposed to CCBS), but I actually prefer CCBS, at least as awesomely as the 2015 sets use it (some HF sets didn't use it to full effect at all.) We also don't seem to have as much of a sci-fi vibe in Gen 2 as in Gen 1, but then we didn't really have that in 2001 either.
  12. IC: Jayar / The Gym Jayar made the Rahkshi equivalent of a grin as Short walked back over to him. Though he had been at Corpus Rahkshi for a while, he hadn't really made any friends before now, so it was good to have Short accept his offer of friendship. "I was going to go to the Library," he told his small comrade. "Would you like to accompany me?"
  13. I'm pretty sure a Matoran can't become a Toa against their will. Look at Takua in MoL, despite having access to the Toa Power he didn't become a Toa until he accepted his responsibilities and such.
  14. Phogen is taking it a lot more seriously than someone realizing that Louisiana is shaped like a shoe. It's like a caveman thinking, 'Hey, maybe the sun is a gigantic ball of fire and I'm standing on a rocky ball that floats in an ellipse around it through a vacuum.'
  15. Isn't it unlikely that a couple of few-month-old Rahkshi in a military academy with four topographic maps would come to the conclusion it took full-fledged Brotherhood scientists with access to anywhere in the universe a conversation with Tren Krom to discover? Seriously, is figuring out the MU IC not kinda metagaming?
  16. Just a thought: -MoUP: Created from a combination of all six elements -Vahi: Created from a combination of six Great Disks, one from the Metru of each element
  17. Is still happening, but is trying to trick us into thinking it isn't. Mimes
  18. IC: Jayar / The Gym Though his opponent was on the verge of defeating Jayar, Short was on the verge of defeat himself. Jayar managed to force out the words, "How about we call it a draw?" His opponent gave a nod and released his Slowness power, allowing Jayar to rise, releasing Short's legs from their painful capture. Allowing his opponent a moment to recover, Jayar said: "You may be small in stature, but your strategic Wisdom and unyielding Valor rival those of even the largest Rahkshi. You have earned my great respect - and, if you would have it," he continued, holding out his right hand to his miniscule partner to shake, "my friendship." OOC: Thanks for the epic fight Toa of Dancing. Hope the conclusion is satisfying.
  19. Is a square, but is called the Bermuda Triangle to mislead people into associating it with Illuminati. Enemies
  20. IC: Jayar As Short scrambled onto his back, Jayar threw himself onto the ground, on his back. There was little chance that Short would be able to escape being crushed under the larger Rahkshi, but if he allowed it to happen, he could slow Jayar and pummel him from behind or try to choke him. OOC: Can we finish this fight? It's been going for days. If Short tries to choke Jayar as described, Jayar Will concede.
  21. Granted, but they call security and have you dragged to an asylum. I wish Dr. Jonathan Crane was no longer in an asylum.
  22. Hey, Jayar is totally a moralist, although he's more outgoing than Fang. He'll be Fang's friend, since he could use a few moral friends of his own. (I'm new to RPing, if we want to arrange this, should I PM you? Or should I just find a way to make it happen IC?)
  23. There seems to be a large emphasis on time. "Evoke the power of past and future," "timeless heroes," the fact that the sacred place is a temple of time... I wonder what it means. Also, did anyone else realize that the big slamming things at the temple of time are like pendulums in a clock?
  24. IC: Jayar Jayar swung his staff around and over his head, bringing the end which Short had grabbed, and the small Rahkshi, hurtling toward the ground before Short could get around it to Jayar. He hoped to pin him to the ground. If he could, then he would call for the end of the fight.
  25. I count at least three Rahkshi who wear hats: Short, Bullseye, and Coryn. They should form a club or something.
