  1. I understand completely what you're talking about Lolman (that's your nickname, and it is you). The idea is really the idea of stereotypes.

More than likely, all stereotypes are true. They are all based on some form of truth. If I were to say all Texans have a southern accent, I would be 100 percent false. If I wear to say a lot of Texans have a southern accent, I would be quite correct. Even in my last entry, I said that Canadians say "aboot". Basically every comment was talking about whether or not that was even true. But it is a stereotype. I met some Canadians while I was in Scotland for the Edinburgh Fringe and they said "about" as "aboot" and I kind of chuckled on the inside. But because I heard that, I knew that it was impossible that ALL Canadians said "aboot".

It's not if it's true, it's really how you say it when you're talking about places and people.

    Also, trolls.

  2. I swear, there's an Alaskan member who read this, saw the response about "aboot" and is probably twitting his thumbs right now.

I think "aboot" originated from the Mounties back in the way day. Could've been. Likely it's a dying dialect.

So I propose we get it back, like Pirate Talk.
