Well, at the time it was made, the slow lingering shots of space were pretty cool. Alas, these things don't age well for modern audiences.
I still prefer the book tbh.

The experiment was a rousing success, I'd say.

I think making it so that it doesn't refuse to let you install other operating systems with it or over it would be pretty great.

I would point out who brought it up first.

The thing is Kraggh, the debate did not exist in a vacuum. You have a long and storied history here and yes, this influences debates and arguments. You can't reasonably expect it not to. All the same we tried to give you the benefit of the doubt and it ended up where it always does. You talk about attacking your own character but, well, it seems you're the only one who can get through to yourself. We've tried in the past to respectfully note when you were being too egotistical and you brush it off. Perhaps somewhere deep down inside it effects you, but from what we can tell it never does. Now let's look at this
It is our explicit right to be able to judge you based on what you give us. You cannot give us all the worst aspects of yourself and then whine "oh why didn't you judge me on my good aspects" because you never gave them to us. You can and will be judged and critiqued for what you say online and elsewhere, regardless of setting or circumstance. Being online typing in a blog does not exempt you from that. The level of niceties involved in doing so is entirely based on exactly how much patience we have left and where it's being said.

I applaud you for taking the introductory statement and the conclusion statement of a two-three hour long debate and completely ignoring the intermediate debate, presenting it in such a way that it's because of that particular belief that you were called a sociopath. It isn't, you know it, stop distorting things for those who weren't present.

I've found that it's the easiest to do these things at two in the morning, when your higher functions have shut off.

I didn't say it was a poor pun, I said it was a poorly thought out pun.

A poorly thought out pun.

I feel as though I've heard this joke before.

See, this is when lifetime premier memberships become cost effective.

Like, I'm not expressing disbelief at him busting through an actual wood door, that's something plenty able to be done. It's just that if you look at it, it looks suspiciously like hex-grid cardboard.

Wait, wait
Is that cardboard
Really thick sturdy cardboard

Guardians of Middle Earth please.

If he can pull off that imposing presence, then it'll be sold. If he can't... well, the movie's going to have some stumbling to do.

This video has made me realize we're all the same and as such should love each other equally.

I'm afraid this entry was poorly timed mate, there's a giant argument going on in the other part of the site so it could be taken the wrong way. Actually it already has, so yeah.

Horizons is really a spice of life to the packs, tons of new and creative mods, enough to make everyone relearn what they once thought they knew while still being pretty great.

I'm not sure if you've looked at Creeperhost but I think it's relatively "cheap;" a two gig of RAM server will run you $20/m, and due to excellent internet and being a dedicated server, that will be plenty fine for ten-fifteen players. I've even seen 20 players play on a 2gig server and still play fine. A 3gig server is also available for $26/m.
Creeperhost is a reliable host though, and it's partnered with the FtB team. They've got a fine track record from everything I've seen, all the servers I've played on that were hosted by them ran smoothly, and the folks behind it are on the up and up.
I do recommend it over Beastnode, as while the folks there are reputable, Creeperhost is also cheaper at the mid-tiers. A 3gig server there (Beastnode), for instance, costs $36/m, compared to the $26/m Creeperhost server.

Fisher, you don't tell people to shut up in civilized debate. That's for when things degenerate, and as far as I can tell no one has pulled out their slapping fishes yet. There is also some problems with the whole ignoring them thing, I ignore people plenty when they insult my heritage and they just keep on doing it. There is also a difference between feeding trolls and giving fundies whatfor. See, the problem here is that oppression exists in a gradient, and so well you may have dealt with it over the years, sometimes things just get too much and people burst. The world's a pretty tough place some days and screaming to let it out is occasionally required. It's just you can't allow it to become the norm. And if someone just keeps on offending you and they will never learn, an elbow to the solar plexus does wonders.
Also +1 Spink.

I second Ymper's comment; assuming these things can result in, ah, somewhat awkward moments down the line.

I tend to hold the stance that if you're debating against someone who doesn't deserve your respect for whatever reasons, dialogue has probably broken down by that point and it's going come to blows pretty quickly. Alas we have no way to punch each other over the internet so instead these things just sorta devolve from there and it becomes one giant spitting circle until someone with authority acts.
But if things haven't degenerated yet and there's still chance for rational speaking, then no need to be rude about it. You're rude when there isn't a chance left and by that point they really have waived their right to complain.

Indeed, I read some of the plot and then watched it; I suppose a midget aborigine would be a little too much to ask for with modern audiences.
